But back to the story behind the AFP-PNP unity walk. In the early morning hours of Monday, February 25th, this conversation was recorded by wiretapping elements of an intelligence-gathering group.

Gen. Razon: Mistah, ano bang gagawin natin pagkatapos ng flag-raising sa Edsa?

Gen. Esperon: Hinahamon tayo ng class ’76. Dalhin mo ang golf set mo at mag-laro tayo sa Aguinaldo.

Gen. Razon: Eh, paano tayo makaka-alis sa Edsa? Nakakahiya naman kung basta mag-disappear tayo agad.

Gen. Esperon: Ganito, sabihin mo sa staff mo na magkapit-bisig tayo, kasama ang army, air force at navy commanders patungong Aguinaldo. Pag-dating natin doon, derecho sa clubhouse, bihis at tee-off agad!

Gen. Razon: Maganda ’yan, mistah. Pero baka tatawag si “4 by 4” (Palace codename).

Gen. Esperon: Akong bahala. Sasabihin ko na pinaguusapan natin ang anti-coup operations.(End of conversation)

ZTE star witness Rodolfo Noel Lozada Jr. yesterday called on upright members of the Armed Forces and Philippine National Police to make a stand on the issue of corruption hounding the Arroyo administration.

In an interview at La Salle Greenhills, Lozada said the opposition should abandon its call for President Arroyo to resign. “She has to be ousted.”

Ang ganda ng rally noong Biyernes. Katulad ng sa lahat na pagtitipon, madamdamin ang pagkanta ng “Bayan Ko” sa katapusan kasi nandiyan pa sa Malacañang ang reyna ng kasinungalingan at katiwalian na sumisira sa ating demokrasya.

Sabi ng ni Renato Reyes ng Bayan, ibig sabihin lang noon, kulang pa ang ating pagsisigaw. Kaya dapat, sa susunod, mas marami at mas malakas ang ating sigaw.

Kahit pagod, masaya kaming umuwi. Ngunit nang nasa-sasakyan na ako, may tumawag kaming kaibigan at ipina-alam sa kin na apat sa mga staff members sa opisina ni Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV ay hinuli at dinala sa Southern Police District. Sila ay sina Dominador Rull, Romel Solis, Chito Cariño at Jerry Delfin.

Hinahamon ko si Heneral Esperon at si Ginoong Razon! Kung tutoong ayaw ninyong babuyin ng mga pulitiko ang militar at ang pulisya, itigil ninyo ang pagpapagamit ikay Arroyo. Si Arroyo ay hindi ang gobyerno; ang mga lumalaban sa kanya ay hindi kaaway ng tao kundi kaaway ng mga magnanakaw sa kaban ng bayan.

Lawyer Argee Guevarra said the arrest of four members the staff of Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV by plainclothes men gives an idea how extra-judicial killings and involuntary disappearances happen.

Dominador Rull, Romel Solis, Chito Cariño and Jerry Delfin were about to board their vehicle on makati Avenue after attending the Interfaith rally in Makati last night when seven plainclothes men arrested them and forced them to board a van where two members of the Special Action Force, an elite anti-terror unit of the Philippine National Police were waiting for them.
