Suspicious website

The military is bringing the battle for the Filipino people’s hearts and minds into cyberspace.

Last week, the Sundalo website debuted in cyberspace (www.sundalo.bravehost.com). The site’s title is “Sundalo:Tagapagtaggol (sic) ng Pilipino”.
sundalo-tagapagtaggol-ng-pi.gif

It presented itself as allied with rebel soldiers. Under “About Us,” it said, “We have come to know various rebel groups in the AFP and PNP from 1985 up to the present, some of us have been involved with some of these formations: We Belong, Reform the AFP Movement (RAM), Rebolusyunaryong Alyansang Makabansa, Soldiers of the Filipino People (SFP), Young Officers Union (YOU), Nationalist Army of the Philippines, Reform the Police Movement (RPM), Kawal Pilipino, New Filipino Heroes, Bagong Katipunan/Magdalo, Makabayang Kawal Pilipino, Taumbayan at Kawal (TABAK), Young Officers Union of the New Generation (YOUNG), Para Sa Bayan (PSB).”

It used a lot of quotes from officials who have stood firm on the ideals and principles related to the quest for truth in the 2004 elections like Brig. Gen. Francisco Gudani and Col. Alex Balutan. The pages are also peppered with principled statements from Magdalo soldiers Lt. (s.g.) Antonio Trillanes and Capt. Nicanor Faeldon.

On its front page is the picture of Brig. Gen. Danny Lim from his video message declaring his withdrawal of support from “this bogus President”.

The site carried published articles on Lim and another much admired rebel officer, Col. Ariel Querubin.

There’s also a plaintive cry purportedly from a marine officer questioning the investigation on last February’s foiled withdrawal of support from Arroyo. It said: “Why am I being investigated? Why not investigate those officers who have been accused of taking part in the cheating that happened during the last elections? Why not investigate those officers who are causing demoralization of their troops because they allowed themselves to be misused by those in power?”

On the surface, it looks like an anti-GMA site.

But if you look closer, the hand of newly-installed AFP Chief Hermogenes Esperon becomes obvious.

The first give-away is the running subhead: “Check out the full text of Minutes re Final Talk and other Government Presentations – judge if it’s authentic.”

The documents are supposedly the solid evidence of the connivance between the military rebels and the communist insurgents.

The 18-page document is supposedly “the minutes of the final coordination meeting that led to the signing of an agreement that solidified the alliance between the Communist Party of the Philippines and the Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan.” It was contained, the military claims, in disks confiscated when Lt. Lawrence San Juan was captured along with Atty. Jose Christopher Belmonte and Albert Guyal in Batangas last February.

The military has been hard put selling that tale because who would believe that two underground groups would tape their meeting and keep it in a disk?

Why would a website, if it’s maintained by rebel groups, post those documents? Even if it says, “judge it if it’s authentic”, why would they want their visitors to bother with that absurd scenario being peddled by the government? Only the military establishment would want people to read those documents.

Another giveaway is the published articles posted. I read Newsbreak’s account of last February’s crisis which were not exactly favorable to the rebel soldiers. Why would they post that in their site? If it’s really their site.

There is also the Inquirer article by Dona Pazzibugan which said then AFP chief Generoso Senga waited nearly two hours before he convened his top officers to deal with rebellious officers urging him to join in their withdrawal of support from Arroyo last Feb. 24.

It was based in a draft report of a military panel that investigated the February crisis, which was leaked to the media by Esperon’s people. Senga wanted an uncontroversial retirement and tried to avoid releasing the report and taking action on the recommendations. Esperon did not want Senga to have it easy thus, the leak just before latter’s retirement.

That article does not serve the cause of rebel soldiers and it’s suspect why it’s in a supposedly pro-rebels site.

Another giveaway is a speech by Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita on the “The Filipino Soldier” when he was still defense secretary, on Bonifacio Day at the Philippine Army headquarters in 2003.

It’s actually a so-so speech but one wonders why would a website that extols truth and justice include a speech from one closely identified with the chief perpetrator of lies and injustice?

The answer could be in the website invitation to “our comrades-in-arms, readers and surfers to send us any ideological, political, socio-cultural, historical, military or philosophical write-ups that are related to the Armed Forces and the continuing military rebellion.”

The goal, it says, “is to provide accessible and available guides and frameworks which may contribute to the understanding and resolution of the rebellion – the elimination of its causes or the attainment of its objectives, or both.”

The e-mail is: sundalo.pilipino@gmail.com.

One my blog visitors suspects it could be something meant to “catch all the minnows in the lake”.

    Ellen,

Ang galing mo magtanggal ng maskarang suot ni Fabian Ver jr.

  2. Hi Ellen,

When you posted about the Sundalo website, I purposely didn’t make a comment because I felt, we needed to know a bit more about it. It sounded dubious but am prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt if only to warn those who have evil intentions to put down good soldiers by revealing themselves that their plan might backfire.

If the website proves to be a “plan” or a “plant” to catch those men in uniform who refuse to be conned by Gloria, they have one or two things coming. At the end of the day, these people are sowing more confusion, distrust and evil among the troops and in so doing, will hasten the fratricide among members of the already small Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Besides, what are those pictures of men in uniform doing, adorning the website? Are they bit players in movies? Are they fashion models for an ad? C’mon, if the website is genuine, the last thing men in uniform in active service would do is to put their faces in a public forum.

Anyway, best thing to do is to plant someone in the offices of ISAFP and the AFP Counter-Intelligence Services.

  3. Hi Ellen,

Like I said in my previous comment, I find the timing suspect. And why would the rebel soldiers, post the said agreement between the Communists and the Magdalos. Even Menok pointed this out to you. Its one way of gathering info on public sentiments. The unwary would easily be taken in by the site. I suspect the ISAFP and Esperon are behind this. I think they are unsure of the magnitude of disgust which pervades both retired and active service personnel. Their “research” would give them an idea of how to counter further actions of disgruntled personnel. So before taking the “plunge”, the readers should take take time and digest every detail of this website.

  4. Like I said in my response in the entry “Sundalo”, I support our “Sundalos” if they are true to their word: a true SUNDALO ng Bayan
But NEVER those who serve illegal ones….

Nevertheless, looking and analyzing all these, one can’t help but be more cautious.
Honestly, I think Pinoys must be wary of the plan of The Evil One. I am.

    Off topic:

    RP peacekeepers in Lebanon pushed

Despite problems besetting the country’s peacekeepers over deductions in their allowances, Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. has endorsed a small Philippine contingent for a United Nations-sponsored international peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon “to help in efforts to put an end to violence and act as the best shield” for thousands of Filipinos awaiting evacuation from the war-torn areas.

    ————————————————————
Don’t be shocked by the above stupid suggestion again coming from the stupid Speaker of the House. It’s time to kiss Uncle Sam’s ass again!

  6. I have to admit, Anna, I was had. At first. Thanks God for the skepticism of some of our fellow bloggers like Spartan and MenOK, I took a closer look. I am convinced that it’s the handiwork of Arroyo’s people. As I said, Esperon’s hand is obvious.

I have taken off the link from this site.

But in a way, it’s good because the comments would have given them an idea how hated they are and how people still value integrity.

As the adage goes, you can fool some people some times but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

  7. I congratulated Sundalo for its website and they replied. I think it’s the same letter they sent to everybody because Yuko also got the same letter:

    Dear Ellen,

Thanks for sending us some notes.

We apologize for the delay in replying as we are still improving the website and the first things that we encountered were several instances of our website being knocked down because of amazingly huge number of surfers that accessed and are trying to access the site. We have to twice increase our bandwith capacity in order to provide continuous access to the website, and we have not started promoting it.

We are coming up with a Malayang Talakayan Community Message Board/Forum where everybody may register and post notes and discussions, and debate on issues. We will be trying to upload it this week so that the exchange of ideas may commense. We will be informing you later if this is already available.

We will also be redesigning the website to enable it look more relaxing and more friendly, more organized.

Since, the internet is an open access communications arena, we are not sure of the real identities of people behind the email addresses, so we are advising everybody that not all those who access our websites are friends and allies, even our enemies are scrutinizing it and getting information they will later on use against us.

For the email note that you sent us, please indicate if we can post them in the website or message board/forum with your full name on it with or without your email address, or just your initials, or first name and family name initial without email addresses. Or you can just post your same note in the message board/forum that we will be providing.

To assure you that your identity and sources will be fully secured and not be comprised in sending us notes and documents from your end, our advise is for you to please open another web based email account, use fictitious data and information, and use that email in sending us confidential documents and papers that we will be posting in the website.

We hope that when our message board/forum has been uploaded, you will be active in the discussions and debate so that we could better understand what is happening in our country and armed forces and better serve our people.

Mabuhay po kayo at ang Sambayanang Pilipino!

I visited the said website last week and got suspicious about the articles. Nakakalito baga? Parang, hello? Asan ako? Kaliwa ba o kanan. Sa isang tingin, maakit ka dahil parang Wow!! ang tagapagtanggol ng bayan……but as you go about reading it…….you would feel something is wrong. Another handiwork of a black magic woman. But there is benefit on it, since a lot of people are visiting the site it only proves that the likes of Gne. Gudani, & Gen. Lim are people’s soldier.

  9. Ellen:

I sent them another letter in response to their reply. If this group is what we think it is, then, we give them the same dose of shit that they think they can throw at us. Batuhan na ng tae kung gusto nila.

At least, we are safe in this land of the fluctuating yen with the police here not beholden to any crook in the government but to the taxpayers who pay their bills, and abide by the provisions of the Constitution of this land unlike this Esperon and his soldiers, who must have too little regard for their fellow Filipinos whom they have the nerve to threaten to kill if they do not kowtow to the wannabe criminal calling herself “President of the Republic of the Philippines.”

The catch names in fact in the site are the names of the organizations identified with Joma Sison and the disgraced generals who have remained true to their oaths to protect the Philippines and its people, not the criminal who has been shitting on the Philippines and the Filipinos.

Now, they are saying that they are going to install a message board and invite visitors to put in something on condition that they LEAVE THEIR TRUE NAME!!!

I took up the challenge, not that I am not afraid of the mamamataytao that the Midget is likely to hire if she still has enough money to spend and bribe people with, but with Ermita admitting that there is not even enough money to repatriate the OFWs in Lebanon (reason in fact why I do not adhere to government and private initiative to lure or force the OFWs to pay money to such fund as the OWWA or some private charities being undertaken by vested interests in the USA, etc.), but because I have so much faith that God is there to always protect me, and will preserve me to do God’s Will.

With that in mind, why should I be afraid of these mortals, even the Midget who must be having stomach aches now for cracking her head as to where to get funding for buying support of the crooks who answer to her beck and call!!!

Now, we know she has not much money to spare as her deputies admit regarding the reason why Filipinos cannot be easily repatriated from Lebanon. There is money in the Pidal fund, but no dice. She will not allow the money there touched on the ground that they were mostly private collections(?) from jueteng lords!!!

Thank God, Ellen, for you and for this blog that we are able to do our part. At least, these people who lurk in this blog know where majority of us stand versus the Midget, who should be removed now! PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA!

Itayo ang bandila ng mga tunay na sundalong pilipino! BTW, I also mentioned the name of my uncle, who was a general in the Philippine Army and rose to his rank by hard work and not by licking someone’s ass unlike Esperon, et al!!!

  10. Spartan Spartan

Hi Ma’m Ellen…I knew that “sooner than later” you would “smell a RAT” out of this “sundalo” website…hehehe. It’s really stinking 😡

Anyways, the people “behind” gloria are really “cut from the same moulds”, they can “swallow” the idea of “lambasting themselves with embarassing comments about their shenanigans” just to put up a “trap” of sort….kaya lang, akala ata nitong mga “ungas” na ito, eh lahat ng Pinoy ay “clueless”(pakyut yun ng “mangmang”)…hehehe. Their running out of “plans and options” to “silence” the “boiling sentiments” of the majority (both vocals and silent) kaya ayan, “gumi-gimik”. 😉

  11. I sent Sundalo this article and this is their reply:

    Dear Ms. Tordesillas,

We normally would not instantly reply to an email send to us as we are in the midst of solving the problem of our website as being knocked down by its inability to cope up with a growing number of surfers. The bandwidth capacity of the site always falls short of the tide of surfers and readers that access the website since its launching.

But the doubts you have raised about the website compels us to send this email.

    1. Thanks for pointing out the mistake in the title banner. It should really be “Tagapagtanggol” not “Tagapagtaggol,” a very clear mistake.

    2. No, Garci-Gen. Hermogenes Esperon has no hand in this website.

On the onset, the factors that made you think of Esperon’s hand are: a) running subhead, b) Newsbreak’s account of February, c) Inquirer article of Dona Pazzibugan, d) Speech of Sec. Ermita. We are very puzzled that four points/articles that may not have articulated our views/advantages would entirely cast doubt on the integrity of a website containing more than a hundred articles on the same/related subjects that actually presented our side. Come on, madam. Please weight the website on its entirety, not on one or four or even ten that veers away from its mainstream flow, and then suddenly credit Esperon for it. We may have committed some mistakes, lapses in judgement, in including these materials, but to cast doubt on our integrity because of these mistakes and bury the entire opus of soldiers and civilians that painstakingly are trying to reach out to the people and the nation is we think and feel is uncalled for. Just because you do not know who is behind this website and that we choose to remain anonymous and faceless, and that nobody tipped you on it would already give you the needed ammunition to shoot it and us down? We would rather that you pointed out these things and suggested that we take them out, but no, you did not help us rectify our mistakes. You shoot us down!

The “running head” is not actually running, madam, it’s just there. It was made to appear that way because it was the last document that we uploaded and we could not put it in a page or in any of the categories/submenus, so we put it in a separate page with a separate link. We deem it fit to publish it in order to show to the people the absurdity and stupidity of the entire document. You’re correct to assume that if the talks really went thru, neither party could have taped or recorded the entire proceedings, and more so saved it in a flask disk? That’s entirely the point of showing it publicly, to let the people see that the government is really fooling them.

On the Newsbreak article and Dona Pazzibugan’s account. We posted these materials as there are no other materials on the same subject that presented an alternative or different angle. But if you can send us something different from their accounts, please do so and we will be posting it. We do not yet have the authority and luxury of presenting our version of the story as our comrades are still being investigated and charged because of the February incidents.

The speech of Sec. Ermita about the Filipino Soldier is substantially okay. We invite you to read it thoroughly. The speech in itself is what we wanted our readers to read and not the speaker/writer. We wanted to show to our fellow soldier that we even Sec. Ermita is prodding us to do what we are doing now because that is what he describes as reponsible soldiery.

    3. something meant to “catch all the minnows in the lake” – In all honesty, we do not quite understand the meaning of this. The closest that we could think of is that the website is used as a bait to catch all rebels. Which means, if that is the argument, the best way to make this claim false is to shut it down?

Tell us madam, in what ways can we prove to you and other doubting Thomases of the genuiness of our claim. Do we need to parade ourselves in your offices and declare hey, we are the moderating and editing team of the Sundalo website. Do we need to plaster on the website’s banner pages our offices where we work out the website and our faces and names?

We are sorry if our remarks went off points, we are fired up by your email/article for it has really lowered our morale.

Please tell us, madam, what should the Sundalo Tagapagtanggol ng Pilipino website be in order that it may pass the genuiness criteria that you need to see.

    Para sa Bansa,

    The Editing/Moderating Team

  13. Ellen:

I feel sorry for the Philippine soldiers, and the low morale, but who brought this upon themselves? Surely, not the Philippines, the country which they have vowed to die for, not the country a lot of them are now willing to be deployed to for the love of money which they are willingly allowing themselves to be molded believing that it is all that matters!!!

With that kind of mentality, Ellen, hindi pa nag-uumpisa ang guerra, talo na sila!!! I only have to read the messages in your other blog to know what this Pandak has done to the Filipino sense of pride and dignity! Nada! Tapos na!

You bet, why do they have to put up Esperon’s speech to mention the ideals and principles they have been taught to uphold and abide by when they know that this man does not represent them. Bakit wala na bang puedeng gumawa ng declaration on that basis without using this Esperon, who definitely represent the coward who will betray his country for 30 pieces of silver as in the case of those soldiers who connived with the Abus, who kidnapped the Burnhams and killed and raped their hostages, as their model?

Nakakadugo ng puso! In fact the first time I felt put off by these soldiers to the extreme was when I use a picture of one or two published in Malaya three or four years ago carrying toiletries of some US marines participating in some Balikatan! It made me really very angry because I knew what it meant. The Filipino soldiers were acting like some chimoy in exchange for some dollar tip!!!

It’s pathetic really. Much as I feel sorry for these soldiers the way I felt for the group of Trillanes when they staged their mutiny. How can they expect the majority of their countrymen to take pity on them when their website is a hodgepodge and not actually achieving anything but confusion and doubt. And you’re right, parang nakakaloko!

On the other hand, kawawa naman if they are the real Macoy! Parang iyong sundalo na nag-aklas last February in defense of his superior, General Lim. Nag-iisa siya even when he mentioned that they were many—pero nasaan sila! Ano, isa lang siyang matapang? Kawawa naman!

Pathetic kasi, taumbayan tuliro na rin! But that is because, Ellen, they have none of the spirit of truth in many of them, for if they know, they will have that spirit of discernment to know good from evil, truth from falsehood, justice from injustice, right from wrong, virtue from vice, pleasure from pain. Nakakaawa, di ba?

At times like this, Ellen, I remember a counsel in our church—Pray about it as in “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” (James 1:5)

The rest of the verses in the Scriptures go like this:
“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren.” (James 1:3-16)

And to me, “perseverance is genius in disguise.”

  14. Ellen,

I’m thinking out here, Anna brought this up in Uniffors. Who’s faces are these plastered on the banner? If they chose to remain faces then those soldiers in the banner are in big trouble. The first reply they sent you and Yuko where obviously, computer generated. About the second reply, they were probably caught flat-footed by your comments and wanted to rectify their blunder. I will remain skeptical about this site.

  15. They probably just made a collage out of available photos of soldiers. But you are right. Since it’s an advocacy site, kawawa naman sila if they are not part of the group. I don’t think the persons behind it would use their own photos.

  16. Ellen:

Just a thought, hindi kaya grupo ni Ramos iyan? Best thing really is to remove the Pandak now, para malaman na ang talagang palabas ng mga ito!!!

Kung akala nila, nakaloko na sila, manigas sila!!! Kawawa naman iyong mga matitinong sundalo noong unang panahon!!! On the other hand, sino ang nagpapatuloy ng website ni Faeldon?

Tanggalin nila yung “make up your own mind” bullshit nila .

    2. sabihin nila unequivocally na against GMA sila at against Esperon na rin and all the generals who make up the throne of bayonets

    4. humanap sila at i-leak nila yun unedited and original na Mayuga report.

  18. lakay lakay

palagay ko, masyado lang kayong praning. i think the sundalo website is genuine. why don’t we continue to visit it, interact with it and then, in due time and after meaningful events, judge it accordingly?

    give it a chance.

  19. Ellen,

Game ako meaning, I agree with everything that Manuel has put forward.

Specifically, sabihin nila unequivocally na against GMA sila at against Esperon na rin and all the generals who make up the throne of bayonets.

Moreover, perhaps, you could suggest that they tackle Palparan issue too.

Lastly, if the guys behind the Sundalo siere are genuine troopers, they must be military officers in the mid-rank category: captain, major or lt colonel category because of the quality of their “post” reply to you. In that case, they should be well versed with what’s going on not only in their service but in other major services.

There are two simple questions, the answers of which every active member officer of the AFP should know:

    1. Who gave the sattelite phone to Commander Robot at the height of the Abu Sayaff hostage crisis?

    2. When was the military radar on one of the hills in Palawan installed?

I will come back to you after they give the answers.

  20. Chabeli Chabeli

Schumey: Galing your analysis! You have a point when you say you “suspect the ISAFP and Esperon are behind this” because it seems that “they are unsure of the magnitude of disgust which pervades both retired and active service personnel. Their “research” would give them an idea of how to counter further actions of disgruntled personnel.” In other words, it’s a READERS BEWARE!”

The new PEOPLE POWER may be emerging. The “revolution” indeed has began in the blogs. PUTOT ((meaning “pandak” in Visayan, I think–please correct me kung mali ako) may be yet the first leader in the world to be ousted “techonoligically” that is, “BLOGGERS POWER.”

Miss Ellen: KUDOS to YOU for all the effort you put into making your website one of the best in the Philippines!!!

  21. Yuko,

Anointed Quezon City Mayor Sonny Belmonte as the next leader of the land. Ngek. He was rumored to be behind pay-offs regarding the Epira Law. He may have done some good things with Quezon City but that is due to the continues increaces in taxes by the city government.

    Ellen,

I’m writing about this sundalo, I’d like to get some quotes from your site and some from Yuko. That’s with yur indulgence of course. I haven’t visited Pilipinas lately. I have no idea who runs it now.

  22. Okay lang, Schumey, you’re free to quote me. This is what this exchange is for anyway. Mabuti talaga itong we try to solidify our stand despite our initial varying reactions to this website of the sundalo.

Can’t take the risk, sabi nga! At least, alam nila where our “barkada” stands on this and other issues. Can’t afford to be gullible and be tricked by these disciples of the dark world!!! Legions nga sila!!! 😛 Ipinagmalaki pa! 😐

Tama si Manuel sa ibinigay niyang leads. We’ve heard of this long before when Magsaysay, who was sent to check on this before, failed to bring back answers despite the big amount of money spent for the fact-finding mission he led to investigate the rumored connivance between the Abus and the military then.

You bet, Schumey, I don’t trust this Sonny Belmonte, too, myself. Iisa lang ang kulay ng mga iyan. Walang makakatulad kay Arsenio Lacson in fact when it comes to performance as a public official. Sayang nga lang at bakit ang pagkamatay!!! Pero hindi nagpayaman dahil nga tunay!!!

  23. This should read: Sayang nga lang at PANGIT ang pagkamatay!!! On top of something! Uso pa naman noon ang kantang, “On top of spaghetti!” Maganda nga lang hindi nagpayaman dahil nga tunay!!! :-X

  24. men0k men0k

Another point guys… Look at how organized, complete in articles, pictures, they can even easily adjust their bandwidth to twice or thrice its previou size.. If you are a group maintaining a website that supports groups like Magdalo, Tabak, etc.. would you be this vulgar?.. I mean, parang their website is just like the usual website created publicy.. without the fears of getting caught.. I am trying to compare it with faeldon’s website but if am to choose which website will I say more convincing.. it would be faeldon’s.. kasi ramdam na ramdam mo na talagang nagtatago ung gumagawa nung website and the things that are posted in the website are just really ‘put’ there to show the contents.. not the kind of website Sundalo has now.. kumpleto.. may banner, may history, everything.. nung kay faeldon, talagang ilang beses nag-down.. tapos ang bagal everytime I try to access it.. pero etong sa sundalo, though they say it’s always going down.. have you felt that it really suffers bandwidth choking?.. have you experienced na nag-down ang site na ito or mabagal ang access time?.. in my part, hindi.. para nga syang website ng isang lamaking company eh.. parang premium plans baga ung package na kinuha nila sa ISP…

Also, ung gumawa ng website is parang pulitiko.. hindi sya mukhang gawa ng sundalo.. with how organized he made the site, how complete in details, etc..

Tsaka, they are saying nauubos ung bandwidth nila kasi maraming bumibisita ng site? eh as of now, ang counter p lang nung site more than 7000 p lang ung bumibisita tapos magbe-break down ang server mo?… tsk, tsk, tsk…

  25. Huwag mong sabihin MenOK na this is a site made in Cebu? Alam kong may malaking communications center doon probably owned by the Pidals.

I was actually trying to connect this with the Coca-Cola donation for education in May 2001 when Roco was EducSec but the money was turned over to the Pandak. Then a few months or a year later, kumbidado iyon mga Coca-Cola executives, including the one who was kidnapped and dumped at the Diosdado Macapagal Blvd., sa pag-open ng isang communications center doon.

There is nothing libelous about this as a matter of fact for the people of the Philippines have a right to know what happened to that donation supposedly for Roco’s textbook project, but he said he did not get, and I believed him.

Unfortunately, si Ellen lang yata, NCO, Macasaet, and a few other more brave ones ang matapang to get to the bottom of all these anomalies na sa dami hindi mo tuloy malaman kung saan ka mag-uumpisa lalo na’t pinababayaan.

  26. menOk,

Yun nga ang observation ko, sobrang detaied and they seem to cover everything. Sobrang galing nang gumawa nun. Pati yun quotes from different personalities, sobrang exact. I’ll include your observations in my post.

    Yuko,

The way the “callcenters” are expanding south, you have a very valid point. Mabilis din natapos yung case ng Coca Cola exec na yun. Could it be that the expansions are actually expansions of ISAFP’s networks? Not a farfetched thought if you ask me.

  27. npongco npongco

With your kind permission, off topic:

Syria’s Ambassador Bashar Ja’afari was quick to fault the United States for the attack.

“These bombs which killed 57 children and women are American bombs,” Ja’afari said. “They call them smart bombs, but actually they are silly bombs. They call them laser-guided bombs but are actually hate-guided bombs.”

Now, Bush and Sec. Rice seem to agree on ceasefire…after dozens of children killed. Lebanon Prime Minister didn’t allow Rice to visit Beirut. What for?

On another CNN interview, a female reporter in Beirut was prematurely cut off when she began to criticize the US. The TV anchor just told her there wasn’t any enough time to continue the interview.

  28. manuel,

Your points are very good. The moderators of the site if they are indeed what they represent should be straightforward with their intentions. Dapat exact and with clarity if they wish to get their message across.

They have asked Ellen to give a criteria to follow, either they’re dumb or they are government agents. An oppositor or an advocade will know what to write or say to drive a point. The moderators of Sundalo however, does not seem to know what their advocacy or cause is. If I were Ellen, I wouldn’t give them anything. For sure, they’ll change the layout and contents to make it more credible to the audience. Experimental strategy yang site na yan. Its not only psy-war but a cyber crackdown. Visit the site and discern. Then make your conclusions. As for me, my skepticism just turned to disbelief.

BEIRUT — Israeli warplanes struck suspected guerrilla positions in eastern Lebanon near the border with Syria early Monday, security officials said.

Israeli jets carried out two raids at approximately 1:30 a.m. near the village of Yanta, about five kilometres from the Syrian border, the officials said because they were not authorized to give statements to the media.

The attack came despite a 48-hour halt in aerial attacks that Israel announced beginning Sunday around midnight local time. However, Israeli officials left open the possibility that Israel might hit targets to stop imminent attacks on Israel, and that the suspension could last less than 48 hours if the military completes its inquiry into Sunday’s incident in Qana before then.

***Despite the 48 hours halt announced by Israel, she continues to bomb. From whom did she learn about lying and double talks? From beloved Uncle Sam who did the same in Iraq. What we see today in Lebanon and the acts committed by Israel is no different from what the US did and is still doing in Iraq.

  30. soleil soleil

in npongco’s topic…wat happened to Qana is really very very tragic and barbaric but we really dont know the whole truth about this warring neighbors. i just hope we here in the only country that we have will know the “real truth” of how the Phil will end up eing under this bogus government and demonic leaders. i came across a previous entry here frm yuko, our soldiers acting like chimoys…how true!!! not only these poor soldiers (bec am sure they were just folowing orders frm their tong-leaders)but most people frm govt sectors, kulang nalang ay punasan pa ang pw– ng mga kano na kung sino-sinong bumibisita..but all these are of course the order of the demons by the murky river!!!
to all..something i wana know kung sino ang may alam lang, there was a discussion in my hubby’s group saying that usa will never leave israel (meaning support to death ang bush adm)coz almost majority of the big players in the NYSE are jews…nagtatanong lang ako, am very naive about these things but i wana knw the truth…i just pray na kahit ganito kababoy ang mga nagmamarunong na sila bruha and her minions, hindi tayo makatikim ng ganito karahas na paraan if there will come a time when the fight will be between religious concerns (like muslims and christians)…kahit gaano ka-simple ang sandata natin dito (kc puro surplus at reconditioned ang mga armas ng sandatahan natin)…

    Ms. Ellen,

I must admit I was almost hoodwinked with the website considering my idols – Gen Gudani, Lt. Col. Balutan, Gen. Lim, Col. Querubin, Maj. Aquino, Capt. Faeldon and LtSG Trillanes were the eye-catchers.

But after digesting the analyses of Spartan & MenOk, made me doubt the motive of website. Their comments became an eye-opener.

  32. soleil soleil

…i have never seen the sundalo website coz i was also skeptical the first time when i came to know about it…but in the end, lalabas at lalabas talaga ang katotohanan and i believe na ang baho ay sisingaw, gaano mo man itago o takpan. at si jo-diversion naman ay sinasamantala para pumapel kuno para mapaganda nya nag image ni bruha…how sad that naguunahan sila lahat para sabihing “ako ang nakaisip nyan, ako ang gumawa nito, ako ang nagsabi nire, etc…”..sabi nga sa isang commercial “ako, ako, puro nalang ako ang magaling”…well bruha, leche ka sa pinaka-leche…

  33. Very logical arguments, Schumey. You’re very right. If these people are what they say they are and not what we think they are, they will know what to do with their site, especially if they want they really want to appeal to the better senses of Filipinos and not try to deceive as the present pattern of deception is of this present illegitimate regime.

Yes, why do they have to ask Ellen or anybody as to how they should publish their site. Bakit ano ba iyan, beauty contest? Frankly, I was open to giving these people the benefit of the doubt, but the catch was when they mentioned that they were post a message board where they will require people to post in their real names as if we do not know what they intend to do next!

I can understand your hiding for example under a different name but I surely have difficulty understanding the intention of those who blogs here under various pseudonyms and intentionally trying to create an impression that we are all here to brawl and not to seriously help find solutions to the problems besetting the Philippines today, especially when it is no joke that people, especially those who are openly criticizing the present lousy government under the leadership of a natural born crook, are being murdered for their principles and things they believe in.

Yes, if they are sincere and are for better Philippines, why would they ask Ellen to tell them what to do with their website? Para kapag nahuli sila kunyari, ipapahamak nila si Ellen just like what they have been trying to frame up some bishops not willing to kowtow to the Pandak? Ano iyan? Nakakaiyak! :’-(

  34. Chabeli Chabeli

After going through the Sundalo website again, I tend to agree with Schumey, Soleil, Emilio_OFW and the rest, that the website is too detailed and “presentable” that, come to think of it, it looks unreal; paranf fake–if one where to compare sundalo.bravehost.com versus pilipino.org.ph, there is one hell of a difference! We must bear in mind that PUTOT is a master of deception (diba Demoña sya?)–her approach to staying in power has always been consistent: CONFUSE-DIVIDE-CONQUER.

“Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government…. Paramount among the responsibilities of a free press is the duty to prevent any part of the government from deceiving the people…”
[Justice Hugo Black (1971), The Pentagon Papers Case]

  35. npongco npongco

Obviously, Ellen was taken for a ride. Ellen was too nice and easily trusted people. This should remind us all that not all sites no matter how well and convincing they are presented are real.

And that’s the problem with this fake Arroyo government. Since she grabbed power, almost everything has become fake from government projects to nursing exams. We also have fake ideas and fake advocates…those who pretend to be on the side of the truth and justice; but if we read their messages and postings, they’re like terrorists in the blog.

  36. npongco npongco

    A little off topic:

    Malacañang laments bishop’s anti-Sona homily

Malacañang yesterday said it was saddened by Novaliches, Quezon City Bishop Antonio Tobias’ issuance of his personal views in his televised homily where he scored the development agenda President Arroyo spoke of as part of her future plans for the country in her recent State of the Nation Address (Sona).

    ************************************************************
Here we see another application of double standard. Why was it okay for the priests and bishops to issue anti-government views during the Marcos and Erap era and wrong today? As we all know, the most notorious of all was the late Cardinal Sin who never missed attacking Marcos and Erap in his homily; but surprisingly silent with Gloria Arroyo. Bishop Tobias can be another Cardinal Sin. We need someone like him today!

It’s probably all part of the total package of psy-war tactics employed by this Administration… designed to attract the rebel moths to the lamp. The idea is for the moths to fly to the light, to be enlightened (brain-washed) or get burned.

But the tactic was exposed because of some pretty smart moths in this blogsite. Now the moths have thrown the challenge “Halt! Who goes there? Show yourself! What’s the password?”

The ball is now in their court.

  40. Soleil:

Don’t be too sure. Bush has in fact included the Philippines in the countries he was planning to attack in Asia together with North Korea because of the Abus (kuno) and the communists, who have long been in the hit list of the FBI. Reason is the possible exploration of the Philippines for possible oil on land or under the sea. Tignan mo naman ang kagaguhan, bakit umaasa sa mga dayuhang ito samantalang marami namang matatalinong pilipino they can train to do the job on their own.

  41. npongco npongco

soleil, those who have not seen and experienced a war don’t know how much it impacts on people. But, some countries especially the US need wars to survive especially if they are in economic crisis. After Lebanon’s destructions come reconstruction and rebuilding. Just imagine how much dollars are needed. And who supply these? Of course the main supplier is the US. Then, some under players like UK and other allies. Same with Iraq…the US cannot yet recover her investment because that country is now close to full blown civil war. Iraqis killing fellow Iraqis. America doesn’t care! She’s just waiting for business opportunities.

I concurr with ystakei for saying that the US has included the Philippines in her attack. The same excuse and scenario…using the Abu Sayyaf and Communists to deploy more US troops. What we should be concerned is allowing Filipinos to kill one another while the US just watches. Knowing how cruel and inhuman this Gloria is, I think she doesn’t care too.

  42. npongco npongco

    George W. Ambush
    Condaidiot Rice.

BTW, What’s Colin Colon Powell saying these days?

United States does not look good here. Israel will not play by the rules.. can’t be trusted..wants to do its dirt and then hide behind “Oh so sorry, we thought it was hezboallah in the car or it was an accident” Uncivilized tactics.

This should be unacceptable and cease fire must begin immediately to stop innoncent lives from being lost.

    Total picture deep picture ?

The problem is “whose interest” really and according to “who”. and Yes each nation does basically have to accept the policy if they are considered part of that nation.. or leave that nation.. which few would ever do. But the American people should not “fool themselves” into believing that it is ok with how its being handled many times. There’s a difference in swallowing it and enjoy swallowing it.

The US should be embarrassed with her behavior. It is difficult for me to understand what american could feel proud of how its being handled, regardless of so called “national interest of country”

Americans voted for a coked up crackhead to run the country.. How would they think things were going to run or turn out???? “Hope for the best” is not acceptable justification.

  43. npongco npongco

America wants to be in charge of the world.
They have always been that way. In the old days remember William Howard Taft? He ran the Philippines for a short time until a “government” could be set up. Bush thought it would look better to get a local citizen to run Afganistan so he got a friend of his to run it (what a shock that
friend also won the election). If they are lazer guided weapons shouldn’t they know for sure who is in the vehicle first before firing? The bomb WILL hit the target if it is lazer guided so make sure it hits the “correct” target. Bush never cared about other countries, he also never cared about the adults in his own country. After banning stem cell research in America (that could have saved millions of lives),for the sake of the innocent young lives, he could not just let the children die. But adults dying is not a problem. It was said a long time ago by one of the children of Fatima, to the
pope. “Beware the peacemaker”. Bush wants to be the Peace Maker (even if it is by force….how ironic could that be?).
Granted, Gloria is killing her own country but Bush is killing the world.

MANILA (AP) – The military said it launched a fresh offensive Tuesday against Muslim extremist groups in Mindanao.

In a statement, the military’s Southern Command, said the operation is directed at the “top-of-the-list terrorist groups” — the Abu Sayyaf and Jemaah Islamiyah — and their leaders on Jolo island, in southern Sulu province, a known bastion of extremist guerrillas.

“We have been planning and working for months to find and track the terrorist leadership in Sulu and the time is now,” it quoted Southcom chief Maj. Gen. Gabriel Habacon as saying.

But my source told me he has lots of assets and properties. In fact, he bought home properties for all his children. By the way, Flavier is very quiet especially in this last last term. Don’t hear much from this funny old man. Is he always sleeping at the Senate Session and in his room?

  60. An Open Letter
To Our Fellow Countrymen and Brothers in the AFP, PNP and CAFGU

Our nation at present reflects the kind of soldiers we have become. Like the majority of the Filipino people, we, the officers and men of the AFP, PNP and CAFGU are being subjected to an oppressive and degrading life. Our meager salary cannot meet our family’s basic necessities of everyday living. We cannot afford to give our children quality education. We cannot even own a decent shelter. And worse, along with the small salary that we earn, the benefits that we justly deserve for our honest service to the state are being stolen from us. Our deteriorating living condition is but a reflection of the oppression and the deplorable state the Filipino people living under the Arroyo government and the current political and economic system.
We, who should be the defenders and protectors of this beloved nation and its people are being used by the corrupt and power-hungry leaders of this government for their own interest. We are being diverted away from our principal duty of enforcing the law and maintaining peace. Many people now perceive us as defenders of corruption and deception by the highest officials who make a mockery of the very democratic process we have been sworn to defend. No wonder many consider us as enemies of our own countrymen. The Arroyo regime and its high ranking officials even ordered some of us into committing heinous crimes against the people we ought to protect.
For allowing themselves to be used by Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in deceiving the people and tampering with the results of the 2004 elections under our very noses, some of our highest ranking officers now feed greedily from the hands of those in Malacañang. PGMA and her cohorts have been dishing out billions of pesos worth of bulk deals and contracts as rewards for their loyalty cutting down the funds for our operations, supplies and benefits.
We are tired of the promises of increase in salary and pension, fed up with the scandals involving the military in the 2004 election fraud, and sick with the looting of funds, contracts and the soldier’s savings in the AFP and PNP by our own generals. We are outraged by the immoral and unjust promotions and designations of the “favorite” officers and relatives of those high ranking officials. What is even more loathsome is the involvement and the protection given by Malacañang and their favorite generals to the criminal syndicates of illegal gambling, illegal drugs, bank robbery, kidnapping, illegal logging, smuggling, carnapping and other crimes.
We attest to the direct responsibility of the President and the leading agencies of Malacañang and their minions in the AFP and the PNP in ordering the extrajudicial killings to decimate the ranks of progressive mass leaders, activists, media critics, opposition leaders and professionals who are actively calling for her ouster. They are also responsible for the surveillance and harassment of those in the opposition, violent dispersal of peaceful rallies and demonstrations and the imprisonment of their leaders. We have come to know all these because the officers and men who were ordered to commit these crimes are from our own ranks.
The leaders and activists that our officers are ordering us to kidnap, torture and murder are legitimately airing their grievances. The victims of these heinous crimes are well-meaning unarmed civilians: workers, farmers, priests, teachers, lawyers, journalists and others who are fighting and defending their rights and even our own interests. They are not armed rebels. But why are we ordered by our officers to aim and fire our guns at them?
We, the men of the AFP and the PNP are being ordered to guard the gates of power where corrupt officials reside. We are the last line of defense of Malacañang. We are being used as shield against the legitimate actions and demands of our people. We are the power sustaining the Arroyo government so she could continue her fake, rotten, deceitful and oppressive rule.
Many of us have already started their active stand against the Arroyo regime. Since 2003, many groups have surfaced and courageously fought and protested against this corrupt government. They have sided with us and our people. They have spoken and took actions against the unjust orders. Yet, for taking into their hearts their oath of service and the interest of the people, they are being persecuted, imprisoned, deprived of their rights, and are treated like animals.
Let us resist the orders of our superiors to use us in their war against our people. Let us support the call for genuine peace and justice and open our doors for talks and negotiations with the groups taking up arms against this oppressive government. Let us work for a genuine and lasting peace..
We call upon all the patriotic men and women from the AFP and the PNP from all over the country to stand up and be counted. It is about time that we end our silence. Let us help in exposing the corruption and crimes committed in the highest levels of our organizations. Let us join ranks with the different patriotic movement within the AFP and PNP, organize clandestine networks, and unite with the people. Together, let us fight alongside the different patriotic and progressive organizations and individuals for a truly sovereign, democratic, peaceful, and prosperous nation. It is our only way of regaining our dignity.
It is the only way that the AFP and PNP could be truly reformed. It is the only way that the AFP and PNP could really perform its mandated task to serve the nation and its people.
The solution to our problems and that of the whole nation is, and will remain unattainable under the Arroyo government and the rotten system it represents. Let us unite with the majority of the Filipino people in ousting the Arroyo government in order to attain liberty, democracy and prosperity!
Let us fight for our rights and those of our fellow officers and soldiers!
