How not to get stressed out by Vhong-Deniece-Cedric overdose

The main characters in a blockbuster telenovela
The main characters in a blockbuster telenovela

A lot of “educated” people are grumbling as they enumerate what is happening in the country:

• More than 30 people are reported to have been killed in Maguindanao in clashes that erupted immediately after the government signed the last of the annexes in the peace agreement between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.

• Hongkong cancelled visa-free entry to the territory for Philippine official and diplomatic passport holders starting February 5 as part of its sanctions against the Philippine government in connection with the 2010 Manila hostage crisis.

• People are angry as power firms insist on their inhuman rates increase.

. Smuggling continues unabated.

• Typhoon Yolanda victims are complaining about much-delayed government rehabilitation of their devastated areas.

• Government lawyers tried to wiggle out of the illegal Disbursement Acceleration Program by saying that they have already scrapped it.

Yet, TV and radio devoted a lot of airtime on the Vhong Navarro-Deniece Cornejo-Cedric Lee story, they all complained. One reporter quipped: “TV just had one line on the oral arguments on the DAP at the Supreme Court and devoted hours on the oral exercise of Deniece with Vhong!”

But come to think of it, with all those issues that people have to deal with, is it a surprise that they turn to the Vhong Navarro-Deniece Cornejo-Cedric Lee for distraction and entertainment? It’s like watching a telenovela.

It has all the elements of a hit telenovela: It involves celebrities and rich people (Lee is reported to be a multimillionaire). It happened in a high-end address – Global City. It involves sex, lies ,betrayal, action, brutality. It even involves officials of the Philippine National Police. It’s not fiction. It’s the real thing.

Anybody who gets stressed out by the Vhong-Deniece-Cedric story has no sense of humor. We suggest you visit this site: http://thesoshalnetwork.com/2014/01/28/pulis-pulis-hulihin-si-deniece/. You will have a good laugh.

The author scanned social network sites and compiled entries about Deniece. There you will know that she was declared “The Athletic of the Year 2008” in taekwondo.

There is also an entry that said, “She is still studying at La Salle and proud for being Green Blooded.”

The commentaries in Facebook are also fun. Take that one by Aey Bcd Eeh in Ogie Diaz’ wall commenting on the timeline as shown in the CCTV: 10:38, dumating si Vhong; 10:39, lumabas si Deniece; 10:41, dumating si Cedric.

In less than 2 mins, rape agad? Ano to, minute to win?”

Jaime Gachitorena said from the CCTV footage and the way the lawyers are playing out the allegations, he imagines the lawyer, Abogado de Tabo, concluding that, “ Considering Cedric spent more time with Vhong than Vhong with Deniece, and the physical state Vhong was in at the precinct, I therefore conclude that si Vhong ang na rape ni Cedric.”

Lawyer Harry Roque saw a redeeming element in the Vhong –Denise-Cedric espisode
: “It took a celebrity to call attention to the inherent weakness of our criminal justice system.”

Roque raised some questions: “Given that Vhong Navarro allegedly confessed to a rape, why was he, despite his sorry physical conviction, not asked if he was voluntarily giving his statement? Why did the police not take steps to ensure that the celebrity was not a victim of torture?”

This is timely with the expose about the “wheel of torture” game that PNP officers use to extract information from criminal suspects and also to have fun.

Roque said, I can only commiserate with the plight of Vhong. But still, he should still consider himself lucky. He has the support of his fans and his television station solidly behind him. For if he were an ordinary Filipino who was tortured, he would surely have become just another anonymous number in the statistics of the number Filipinos who have been tortured and denied any and all forms of remedies.”

I have heard and read so many versions of the Vhong case. Ultimately, I picked this version from columnist Mon Tulfo’s most recent column which I found to be more credible. I’m no fan of his, but I’ve to recognize his connection with the police and even the underworld. Here’s his piece which I’m sharing:

So much public attention is focused on the mauling of actor-comedian and TV host Vhong Navarro, which apparently stemmed from a love triangle. It’s a “he said, she said” story, with Navarro accusing businessman Cedric Lee and his companions of mauling him, and commercial model Deniece Cornejo accusing Navarro of rape.

Although I’m not too keen on delving into other people’s love life, I asked the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) what really happened since accusations and counter-accusations have become hot news. The NBI has entered into the fray and investigated the incident.

Here’s what I gathered from an NBI source:
Deniece invited Vhong to her unit at Forbeswood Heights in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, since they have been friends for two years.

Although Navarro claimed that no sexual intercourse happened between him and Cornejo on his first visit, there was heavy petting, the likes of the “Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinski” affair, according to my NBI source. Deniece’s text message to Vhong after that visit was very telling: “Bad boy ka! Bad boy ka! (You’re a bad boy!)” And here’s Vhong’s reply to Deniece, according to the NBI source: “I will make it up to you next time.” What Deniece and—of course, Vhong— did not know is that the woman’s unit was full of hidden cameras and so everything was caught on closed circuit television (CCTV). Lee, who owns the high-class condominium unit, had installed all the hidden cameras. Lee is a multimillionaire Filipino-Chinese businessman who has connections in high places.

He is a business partner of Tyrone Ong, now in detention on a charge of plunder for the alleged “ghost” repairs of B-150 armored vehicles of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Ong is an adopted member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1976 whose members include former PNP chief Jesus Versoza and retired police generals Magtanggol Gatdula and Jefferson Soriano.

Deniece, according to my NBI source, is Lee’s girlfriend.
Cedric apparently confronted his girlfriend Deniece about the video and told her to invite the actor-TV host to the unit again.

NBI investigators theorize that Cedric threatened to drive Deniece out of the unit and withdraw financial support if she didn’t do what he ordered her.

“That’s why, Mon, Vhong brought with him a bottle of white wine and some food because he wanted to make ‘amends’ with Deniece for his ‘shortcomings’ the first time,” said the NBI insider.

No wonder Deniece didn’t sound so eager to have lover boy Vhong visit her, if we are to believe the actor’s account.
The woman apparently knew Cedric and his bodyguards were waiting for him.

    The rest is history.

The Solution to the Cedric, Vhong and the Woman case grabbing the headline could be as simple as Cases should be laid SOONEST before the Court of Law and for the Court to issue a Publication Ban until the day of the Trial..(which of Course the Proceedings can be reported) Usually that’s the way it is done to avoid too many speculation, fishing, gossips, and “experts” muddling the case that the Public no longer can figure what was it all about.

And also not to Drag as many individuals that may have nothing to Do with the Scandal..

#1, ,Mannie do you think ang counter charge ni Miss Cornejo na rape case vs. Vhong ay tatayo sa corte gayong sinabi ng NBI according to CCTV na walang naganap na rape. kitang-kita ang sequence & time na in two minutes after na dumating si Vhong sa lobby ng condo ay lamabas naman si Cornejo at nagpasukan na sila Cedric Lee & company nang sunod-sunod. I’m just asking dahil alam ko na may nabibiling piscal sa Pinas.

  4. Jojo Jojo

  7. Kakasira ng ulo yung Soshal Network. Wahahaha.

Meron din akong mga napulot online and I’m sharing.

Kaya daw walang nangyaring sex during the first visit kasi MERON si girl. Sayang kung inabutan sila ni Cedric noon, Vhong would have been caught RED-HANDED.

I gave her a STANDING OVULATION.

Pag nabasa mo mga comments ng madlang people sa mga vids sa YouTube about the incident, she’s been called the worst names. “SLUT” ang pinaka-common na tawag. I disagree.

A ton of dudes have been inside her.

Totoo bang she was fired when she worked at the sperm bank? Apparently, she was caught drinking on the job.

    More later! 😉 🙂

The Police is investigating as this might have connection the wider ongoing investigation of Drugs and Gangs and murder…and the Mayor is getting wild as days go by..he still loves alcohol and showbiz…

What I couldn’t understand was why should a lawyer represent someone whom he knew was guilty. I’m referring to this Atty. Calleja who also represented Zaldy Ampatuan. Yes, a lawyer is sworn to defend a client to the best of his ability; but not to lie and teach his client to lie. He could plea bargain for lesser sentence, but not twist the facts to win the case.

  10. Mannie Mannie

By the way, Deniece is indeed very pretty. I heard it’s no longer her original looks, but I don’t care. I don’t mind being beaten up if only to date her.:)

I think Cedric’s idol and mentor was Chavit Singson. See how influential and a role model Singson is to other men. But if Chavit did it to Vhong, Vhong could be dead by now.

  11. andres andres

Cedric Lee and Tyrone Ong, rich kids who terrorize people shouldn’t get away with their was anymore!

  12. andres andres

Sorry.. Shouldn’t get away with their ways anymore.

  13. Mannie Mannie

Looking at the above photo, we see Vhong looking very miserable while Cedric’s smiling. In the middle was the cause of it all.

Money can buy access; but not loyalty (nor feeling). That applies whether the moneybags is Chavit or Cedric.

Reminds me of an old (1975) Eagles song “Lyin’ Eyes” A favorite, actually.

    “Lyin’ Eyes”

City girl just seemed to find out early
How to open doors with just a smile
    A rich old man
And she won’t have to worry
She’ll dress up all in lace and go in style

Late at night the big old house gets lonely
I guess every form of refuge has its price
And it breaks her heart to think her love is
Only given to a man with hands as cold as ice

So she tells him she must go out for the evening
To comfort an old friend who’s feelin’ down
But he knows where she’s goin’ as she’s leavin’
She is headed for the cheatin’ side of town

You can’t hide your lyin’ eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you’d realize
There ain’t no way to hide your lyin eyes

On the other side of town a boy is waiting
with fiery eyes and dreams no one could steal
She drives on through the night anticipating
‘Cause he makes her feel the way she used to feel

    She rushes to his arms,
    They fall together
She whispers that it’s only for awhile
She swears that soon she’ll be comin’ back forever
She pulls away and leaves him with a smile

You can’t hide your lyin’ eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you’d realize
There ain’t no way to hide you lyin’ eyes

She gets up and pours herself a strong one
And stares out at the stars up in the sky
Another night, it’s gonna be a long one
She draws the shade and hangs her head to cry

She wonders how it ever got this crazy
She thinks about a boy she knew in school
Did she get tired or did she just get lazy?
She’s so far gone she feels just like a fool

My, oh my, you sure know how to arrange things
You set it up so well, so carefully
Ain’t it funny how your new life didn’t change things
You’re still the same old girl you used to be

You can’t hide your lyin eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you’d realize
There ain’t no way to hide your lyin’ eyes
There ain’t no way to hide your lyin’ eyes
Honey, you can’t hide your lyin’ eyes

what a hot topic that should not be that so hot!

kitang limpak sa taas ng rating ng TV Patrol and other programs that feature this OTBJ novela ni baycas, este vhong navarro.

#18. bay, ang version ko diyan ay “ABJ”.

    Hahaha…

Do you know that women sometimes enjoy “rape” ? So, the accusation that Vhong raped Deniece could be true but she liked and enjoyed it. Some over passionate women even demand that they be raped.

We don’t have to watch porn movies to know that women sometimes indeed like to be raped or roughed up during sex. Women scream, moan, curse during love making. The utter words such as “Oh my God. Stop it. Fvck. “
