Whew, we finally broke the camels back! They didnt realize they made the whole nation an opposition country. Now is the Day of reckoning. The administration has to unite now with the oppositon. Trillanes is a good timber for the secretay of national defense. And a deep selection for the Chief of Staff. That should retire early a lot of top brasses.

  3. It does look like the present elections wasn’t as violent as past elections, this however may have been replaced with increased cheating and fraud.

We have yet to see if this midterm election was honest and clean…

We must definitely stay vigilant, because it is in these times of calm, that the cheating machinery may still strike..

As Ellen mentioned in a previous thread, Blinky Tianak has already perfected the crime of election manipulation. It’s a long way to go, let’s keep watching and don’t give them a cause to cheat us again!

Ano na Ngayon? Kung manalo ang TU as Gloria said they will (and we know how)our future will be bleak. Nakakalungkot. But through prayers malaki ang ating pag asa kung manalo ang GO.

  7. Let’s keep on praying that Gloria Arroyo’s cheating machinery will be foiled.

Taas, taas, taas!

There are some very encouraging developments such as: most of the GO candidates are winning, Trillanes is in the magic 12, Darlene Custodio is winning and Father Panlilio is winning in Pampanga.

The results of the local absentee voting( which were mostly the soldiers who were asked to vote earlier) came out to be mostly for the TUta. This is definitely in line with the allegations of the soldiers that they were forced to vote for the TUta. Because if they voted from their heart, Trillanes would be in the magic 12.

  15. parasabayan parasabayan

The bottom line is, tiyanak is still calling the shots. And yes, with the implementation of the anti terror bill, she can just have anyone picked up.

But if the GO senators will dominate the senate, her wings will somehow be clipped and not everything tiyanak wants happens.

I hope that the election trend continues in favor of the opposition. If the opposition wins then I believe that we had a clean election( inspite of the spotty untoward incidents in some parts of the country).

Let us continue to pray and be watchfull throughout the whole process! We are doing great so far!

the anti terror bill was designed to protect all post 911 induced policy of bogus leadership in malacañang.

Philippines has a bad image compared to the other third world countries when it consider the democratic exercises of May 14 election as a security issues.

We should take heed of Arroyo’s words lately,”accept whatever is the outcome of this election… not in a positive way! Out there in Gensan, Pacquiao is taking an ugly beating. His opponent, pint-sized Darlene, is sending an unmistakable signal — stick to the stuff you know, buddy.

Elsewhere, Garcillano receives a very rude slap on his cheating face and is forced to concede to Acosta.

Pichay gets planted not in the Senate but in the kangkungan. This, despite the almost half a billion pesos he blew on the campaign. Had this chump known just how much the people hate Gloria, he probably wouldn’t have played such a high-profile role in derailing the impeachment process.

Zubiri learns that being Gloria’s Spice Boy does not mean a rat’s ass. Now, if he still really really wants to be in the Senate, he will have to cough up another P10M to bribe the COMELEC into sneaking him into the last slot. Boom tarat tarat.

Defensor is finding out that defending his First Quadrant pyramid scam is easier than defending his loathsome boss Gloria.

Singson is so out of the radar one wonders if he was perhaps running in another planet.

Dato Arroyo is learning that just because your mother is the commander-in-cheat doesn’t mean the military can produce votes for you. Ungas. Ungas. Ungas.

Joe De Venecia, sleepy as ever, is waking up to the rude fact that his days of patronage politics is over. Benjie Lim is going to Congress.

Chiz is the new Wiz! The people saw how valiantly he had led the impeachment proceedings and have generously rewarded him the number one spot.

Cayetano is set to win big despite the COMELEC-Mike Arroyo sabotage. Thank God for enlightened election officers who counted CAYETANO votes to Allan.

Trillanes springs a coup and surprises everyone by his strong showing despite very limited budget and despite not being allowed to get out of jail to campaign.

Father Panlilio is whipping the corrupt asses of Lapid and Pineda in Pampanga.

All of these, of course, is one collective slap on the faces of Gloria and Mike Arroyo. It’s a referendum. And they lost.

It’s a long way to go but with the sovereign will of the people being made unequivocally known ths early, I’d like to see how these asswipes will cheat their way out of this one.

Elvira, I share your anxiety. I feel the same way. In Mindanao, the people are vulnerable because of the peace and order situation. In the Visayas, tiyanak’s son is there ang siRAULo is there too alongside the other vultures under the tiyanak. May pagkamanananggal itong mga ito, you know. They operate at night and wee hours in the morning. So for everyone, guard your votes every second of the day until every single ballot is officially counted! May mga operations pa iyan. Look at the bombing here and there and everywhere. Tiyanak and her minions can just sow chaos and will deploy her general lap dogs and the scenario will be different! We have to be overly vigilant and do not let your guards down!

Actually, I just watched Bandila where the TUTA are complaining that the results being reported are lopsided. They are saying that in Cebu and some other parts of the country, they are leading. So, talagang dapat tayong kabahan kasi hindi pa tapos ang laban. By hook or by crook, time and again it has been proven that the tiyanak and her minions are never fair! Somehow, these vultures are going to have hokus pokus sowewhere! Huwag taying malingat! Remember that they operate in the middle of the night! They are very sneaky and treacherous! WEhat tiyanak says, she DOES NOT DO! So when she says, she wants clean elections, let us fear the worst and guard against possible reversals. I DO NOT TRUST TIYANAK, HER BODYGUARDS, the “comolec” and her local galamays! I can trust the youth. I see them all over and this is something we had never seen before! I am happy that these young people( 21-35 yrs comprise 35 % of the whole voters’ population. I always see them behind the canvassers. I see them actively watching. They have shown so much interest in this 2007 elections. If the vultures will not be able to perpetuate their ill intentions, let us thank these young blood for their participation.

  28. I never thought it would turn out as good as it appears to be now. Though, there is still enough cause to worry, current available results point out to almost an entire nation saying NO bigtime to the powers-that-be. Let’s keep the momentum going. (UPDATE) Palace protests media quick counts for ‘trending’

MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang is protesting the quick counts being conducted by media outfits, saying these lead to trending and mind conditioning.

Gabriel Claudio, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s chief political adviser, said the quick counts have a “hypnotic effect” on the public and lead people to believe that “this is what will come out in the end, which [it] is not.”

“You know, there is something mesmerizing about figures and numbers being flashed on the screen. It has a hypnotic effect. No matter how you explain the process, no matter how much you qualify the limitations of the operations, mind-conditioning still happens,” Claudio said.

The ABS-CBN network has partnered with STI for its media quick count, while GMA Network has engaged AMA Computer University. Both networks also have tie-ups with other media.

In both media quick counts, candidates of the Genuine Opposition (GO) are dominating the senatorial race.

Claudio also said the Palace is “very disappointed” with what he described as the delayed start of the National Citizens Movement for Free Elections (Namfrel) tally, claiming it started counting 24 hours after the polls closed.

during my days in the military service, most especially when block voting was used during referenda, not even a single officer was watching us and NO order was given by the military heirarchy for us to follow when accomplishing our ballots. there was respect to our right to choose unlike these times when the generals under gloria’s skirt OPENLY order soldiers who to vote and what to do in the exercise of their rights. and this is under a frequent caller to UNITY, the cheat and lying gloria macagarapal arroyo, the most unwanted president of the impoverished republic of the philippines!

Six GO, 4 TU, 2 independents top ABS-CBN/Pulse Asia exit poll

Six Genuine Opposition candidates, four Team Unity bets and two independents are poised to win the top 12 slots in the Senate race, results of the 2007 ABS-CBN/Pulse Asia nationwide exit poll revealed Tuesday.

GO candidate Loren Legarda topped the exit poll with 58.5 percent of votes, followed by Francis “Chiz” Escudero (53.3%), Manuel Villar (49.8%) and Panfilo Lacson (46.4%).

Independent candidate Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan placed fifth in the exit poll with 44.6 percent of votes, followed by GO’s Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III (42.6%), Team Unity’s Edgardo Angara (41.1%) and Joker Arroyo (36.8%) and GO’s Antonio Trillanes IV (35.4%).

TU’s Juan Miguel Zubiri placed 10th in the exit poll with 34.9 percent of votes. Independent candidate Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan (34.6%) and TU’s Ralph Recto (34.3%) rounded out the last two slots.

GO’s Alan Peter Cayetano placed 13th on the list with 31 percent of votes, followed by TU’s Prospero Pichay Jr. (30.4%), GO’s Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III (28.5%) and Sonia Roco (28.4%) and TU’s Michael Defensor (28.2%) and Vicente “Tito” Sotto III (26.2%).

  42. Ellen,

We’re protesting against the acceptance of a vote by a questionable voter who tried to cast her/his vote from the USA to Japan. That was the only one that really pissed us off in the Japan OAV election. Bad showing indeed. The turn out was disappointing, only 10 percent of the registered voters in Japan, and the number is not even 10 percent of the actual no. of Filipinos in Japan. Reason for the lack of enthusiasm to register is the mandate on the return to the Philippines within 3 years from the time of registry or they lose their nationality and even right to vote. We have demanded the removal of this clause but the crooks in Comelec would rather make it difficult for Filipinos to lose interest in voting or to try to vote.

Thus, the bad turnout in this year’s election. But the victory of the GO makes up for the sad state of the OAV.

    Mabuhay ang UNO!

  43. Chi,

There were 3 precincts in Tokyo and 1 precinct in Osaka, because of the low turnout, but the average ratio is 8 GO + 1 independent (Kiko) and 3 TU. In Osaka, GO fared better, but it was still GO!

    ‘Doing a Trillanes’

    DIE HARD III
    Herman Tiu Laurel

    05/16/2007

A new idiom or figure of speech has evolved in the Pilipino-English language: “To do a Trillanes” or, in other words, to pull a surprising feat. “If Trillanes can do what he has done, i.e. to leapfrog so high over so many obstacles and against all odds despite his detention, lack of money and formal organization” a pundit said, “then the country should be able to do the same with regard to its daunting national problems.” In other words, Trillanes and the unprecedented feat he has achieved can itself be an inspiration for the country to hope for a “leapfrog” back into prosperity we aspire for so much.

Haay, salamat, natapos din! Pahinga muna ako…back to blogging muna. In fact, we thwarted the ambitions of all of Gloria’s local candidates. The Senators, Congressman, Mayor, Vice Mayor, Councilors were all UNO-LDP, which was Peewee’s party. Not surprisingly, Angara was the lone survivor here in Pasay – he was in Peewee’s Sample Ballot!

All the ERs are now in Cuneta Astrodome and another group will take it from there. It’ll probably take a whole blog if I had to tell all the stories of our election day experience.

The day before, the leaders of Connie Dy, Gloria’s mayoralty bet, together with her Congressman and Vice, were going house-to-house enlisting “watchers” who need not stay at the precincts after they had voted and were advanced their “salary” of P500 each! If that’s not vote-buying, I don’t know what is. The real watchers were also given their color-coded t-shirts and IDs. We all know that wearing candidates’ materials are prohibited on election day but these law-circumventing lamers were flaunting their shirts as if saying, “hey, I’m being paid P1,500 to wear this shirt!”

Connie Dy’s watchers were in purple tees (so were the monobloc chairs they had with them!) and had a flashlight, ballpen and an exclamation point printed on it. I guess that meant they were watchers, the supervisors had other things printed on theirs. Bong Tolentino, the vice mayoralty candidate, had his watchers in green shirts with a bell printed on their chests. Bong for the bell. The congressional bet, and Peewee’s replacement mayor Allan Panaligan, had his men wearing blue with a big “P” across the chest, behind was “W’ for watchers and “Manager” for, well, managers. Their lawyers had IDs with “Abugado” in it.

For our part, our watchers came as they were, I was in shorts and sandals and my appointed lawyer, who was a hottie by the way, looked like a cute college girl in denims and bare-navel blouse you wouldn’t think we were involved in the count were it not for our IDs that had “School Head” and “School Lawyer” under the UNO-LDP logos, respectively. We were provided a little cellphone that we were supposed to use to text the final results to HQ or to call for help. The text messages were then processed by a software that summarizes all the votes for all the candidates. Our texter blistered her fingers when all the results came almost simultaneously at about 2:00AM. By 5:30AM, we were popping champagne at HQ for the celebrations.

GO candidates, except for Osmeña and Coseteng made it. Only Honasan, Pangilinan, and Angara were able to squeeze into the winner’s list. Escudero topped it followed by Lacson, Trillanes, Cayetano, Honasan, Legarda, Aquino, Villar, Angara, Pimentel, Pangilinan, Roco – the best order I can remember. Trillanes was a revelation! Look at the order, Pasayeños love men (women, too!) with balls.

The job was tough, but was worth it. I couldn’t help but feel sorry for those who are still in Astrodome at this moment slugging it out with lawyers provided by the Pig.

What’s really touching is the effort by many of our watchers who are there in the canvass to hold vigil even if they are not getting any extra pay for it! They brought their own summaries which they copied from the precincts they were watching just to make sure it matches the tally boards. After all, they are just as interested in the Senate count as they were with the locals.

Way to GO! Victory is within grasp, we won’t let it slip away again! Gloria may have mastered the art of cheating, but she also unintendedly taught us vigilance IS the antidote!

Pasay City canvassing fails to take off

MANILA, Philippines – Citing alleged electoral fraud on a massive scale, a lawyer for Pasay mayoral candidate Consuelo Dy yesterday asked the city’s election officers to postpone the canvassing of election returns.

Winston Gines argued that the votes for two other mayoral candidates, which were supposedly disqualified by the Commission on Elections, should not have been credited in favor of another candidate, former Mayor Wenceslao “Peewee” Trinidad.

Yes, Chi. And a brand new congressman for the opposition!

I’ve been told Lim’s win in Manila might be followed by opposition winners in Manila’s 6 congressional races, too.

It looks like reelectionist Mayor Toby Tiangco is likewise en route to victory, with Cong. Ricky Sandoval as his unwilling victim. Sandoval’s brother is another dead meat. Is a GO candidate winning against Alvin Sandoval? I sure hope so.

  57. Congratulations, Tongue!

But we should continue to be vigilant for the senatorial race. Alan should be back in the Magic 12. Continue praying.

COMELEC operators are busy taking out forms from the bodega for the extensive damage control. Anyway, the COMELEC will just say the bodega was broken into and what can we do about it?

  59. parasabayan parasabayan

Sinabi mo pa Valdemar. I do not believe Abalos at all. He is like the tiyanak. When he says “not to worry”, it means we have to be warry! Let us duplicate Tongue’s vigilance all throughout the country. These vultures are going to operate in the middle of the night and at dawn. They will operate in areas where they can use the military shield. Some parts of Mindanao will be vulnerable.

We can not take the early victory as an indication that there will be no cheating. Tiyanak’s brigade will not stop trying to cheat. This is what they are good at! Tiyanak will not stop. She will do everything in her power to change get her TUtas in the senate. She knows that she can not afford to lose. So, WE SHOULD CONTINUE TO GUARD OUR VOTES!

Wasn’t NAMFREL perceived to be pro Arroyo? Why does it take four weeks to finish the counting? In the local level, the results are immediately known. Isn’t it only a matter of collating these results to come up with the final winning figure. The longer the canvassing goes, the more irreguralities will crop up! Maraming magiging hokus focus diyan!

  61. I don’t trust Namfrel. Walang tulugan for almost 48 hours.

    tongue,

gloria macagarapal arroyo is not just addicted, it’s in her blood!

  65. chi chi

I stand corrected, Mrivera. Oo nga pala, gloria macagarapal arrovo pidal is a true blooded cheat!

The true last name of the Tiyanak is MACAPAL!

To Ms. Ellen, Anna and Chi:

Failed to see your reactions to my comment at once. Thanks for the encouragement. Thanks to all of you brave warriors who are making a stand for freedom.

You don’t know how many people who are about to throw in the towel are being emboldened once more to keep fighting the good fight.

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, you can try with all your evil might, but you cannot silence folks like us who are yearning for decency in government.

    Mabuhay!

  68. TonGuE-tWisTeD TonGuE-tWisTeD

Thanks to everyone. I know that if you were here, you would have done the same. It wasn’t an easy victory at all, it was a hard-fought one and the triumph made it even sweeter. This is one perfect example of poetic justice with the masses delivering the ultimate verdict not those early ones contrived by the forces of evil: Malacañang, Ombudsman, DILG, DOJ.

In Alan’s case, it will be very difficult to muscle Cayetano out of the top 12. Our analysts/strategists calculate that it would take at least 3 million votes to put in one TUTA and ease the #12 out. But if they do only that, they might just be taking out one of their own. They must put in at least 4 more TUTAs (Cayetano is #9 in their own quick count) and doing that, they also push out Gringo, Trillanes, and Pimentel. Leaving behind Escudero, Legarda, Lacson, Villar, and Aquino from GO, Pangilinan, and TUTAs Joker and Angara. This confirms why Ermita and Albano are already predicting a 6-5-1 majority for TUTA. It fits, doesn’t it?

Now, since Angara falls in that same range (#9-#12) they will have to add 3 million more to put him back in since it would be foolish to replace him with a fresh one and leaving him out of the 12 when the 4 laggards are brought in. It won’t look right.

All in all, 30 Million new “points” (5 times 3 million times 2) will have to be produced by the dagdag-bawas operators. “Points” because that’s how the operators price their service. One dagdag-bawas is 2 points. They have to shave somewhere before the addition or else the final tally will exceed the number of voters. (They were careless during 2004 that’s why many of the padded votes were in excess of the registered voters, mukhang madalian na kasi noon.) At TEN PESOS per point, which is the going price, TUTA HQ will have to shell out at least P300M. Wow! This price goes even higher up to P20 per vote in extremely difficult operations.

Remember Garci asking for P1.5M from Barbers for the 70,000 votes that he needed to overtake Biazon? During that time, garapalan na kaya wala nang bawas, puro dagdag na lang kaya one vote was one point = P20 ea. In this mode, the cheating machinery will now need P600M to ease Alan Cayetano out of the winners. Wow, diba!

But that’s no problem, they have approved P1.7B ready for release to “provinces affected by typhoon Reming”, anyway. Some more have been stashed for use in this elections. Gloria has even borrowed abroad despite her claim of more available funds kuno because of her “strong economic numbers” ekek. We should ask the National Treasurer the reason why he resigned, I’m betting my 2 balls it had something to do with the election money.

The money problem out of the way, it leaves only one last loose end: how do they hide the cheating?

  69. Low scorer si Pichay at Singson dito sa Japan even when majority of the DH here are Ilocanos. “Madi mi cayat data nga lastog nga Singson,” they say.

  70. TT:

Over in Japan, we made sure that no daya votes are counted even when one is allowed to get through but with our strong protest. We still plan to protest and put our protest in writing even when we have made sure that the GO wins in Japan. It was 8-1-3 over here in favor of the GO as we have predicted at least. Apparently, it is the same in the Congressional race except perhaps in Pidal country, but not in Cebu with the Cebuans now divided betweeen the Garcias and Osmenas!

What do we learn from this? Hindi tanga ang mga pilipino! And faith indeed can move mountains! Sonny Trillanes has reminded us of that!!!

God bless you, Sonny Trillanes! Alan Cayetano should also not lose faith. His faith in God will help him. I am sure of that!

  71. Modus operandi planned by the crooks was to have daya votes sent from Manila and some points overseas. Nabisto namin agad kaya hindi nabilang.

Now, giving credit where credit is due. Majority of the embassy staff in fact cooperated with us. Thanks to them for encouraging us to be braver than we are in fact capable of.

No thanks to that small potato sipsip who probably thought he could frighten us. Ingat siya because we know what we do and where to go to when we see monkey business and have him removed from Tokyo.
