Looking for Aiko

I read this in the Facebook wall of my friend Jojo Terencio. I called up the number listed in the entry and talked with Aiko’s mother, Amie. She said Aiko, 24, works at Techno Park.

He was supposed to meet someone at about 3:30 p.m of Dec. 4 at a corner not far away from their house. He rode on his motorcycle. That was the last time they saw him. She talked with the person he was to meet and found out that, that person decided not to come that day.

They found Aiko’s motorcycle but not him.

Amie suspects that “napag-tripan” by some gangs.

She is appealing to those who might be able to help them find Aiko. This is Aiko’s picture.

Following is the family’s appeal:

December 28, 2008

For everyone,

It’s been so hard for all of us losing our brother Obet, but what made it worst is losing our nephew Aiko. He’s been missing since Dec. 4, 2008 and until now we have no leads or news. His motorcycle was found in one of the corner street near to our place. Our youngest brother Allan tried to call Aiko on his cell phone but no answer. Our family were working with proper authorities to investigate this very serious matter.

Aiko is a very good son and not into drugs or involved in any criminal wrong doings.

This is not a joke and yet there are some very cruel people of texting my brother making a prankster joke, trying to get some money or sending text that really for us is like a mental and emotional torture. Why do we have to go through these, why can’t other people instead of sending nasty text to send supportive text messages like will pray for Aiko’s safety and for the family.

We’re hit by double tragedy and we’re trying to smile or even laugh, but deep inside it hurts so much for all of us. is this a test of faith for all of us, if it is?..it’s just too much to bear the pain.

To all my friends and relatives here at Multiply who blog or made a link for Aiko, please accept our sincerest thanks from our family.thank you all as well for the prayers.

We’re trying to get more help, especially from the media. We wen’t to GMA studio to get help or assistance from a TV show,: “Reunions” which try to find and reunite missing people to their family,
but what a joke. We were there as early as 7:30 am . We were told by the security guard that by 10am someone like a staff of the host Jessica Soho will be there to look after us.

I knew it was Dec 23 and I can see people are gearing up for christmas, gifts pouring in to the studio but the staff who’s suppose to help us was nowhere to be seen.

We ate lunch and came back, with the hope that will find someone still to help us but still no one’s there who care at all except for the security guards.

The guards were very nice to us and very apologetic, yes we were offered by the guard to just leave the form but we’re not here just to fill up the form,

We went there to see and have our request even for a short interview and hoping that my nephews image will be flash on the tv screen .

I was very angry and told the guard that it’s very irresponsible of those people not to show up at all, all they care is christmas party and gifts, hello there are many people here who lost their loved ones so if anyone of you here who knows anybody from GMA studio to please tell them that they add more grief to us!

I told my brother for us to go home. We don’t know if they would even look at the form and Aiko’s picture.

We beg and ask for your help, to bring my nephew back..We love you Aiko and we miss you a lot. God please, no more pain for us. We’re hurting so much!

For all parents please hug and tell your children how much you love them, tell it to every one you love because no one knows what will happen even in just a split second. Hug them tight and wherever they are going to ask them to text or call before they leave and when they arrive at their destination to call or text just to let you know.

Love,

I do hope they can find their nephew very soon.

Off topic, bakit masyadong nagiging excuse and holidays para magperform ang tao sa kanilang trabaho? I mean, just like yong Mayor-bully na nangbugbogbog, police can’t arrest him kasi daw xmas holiday? and now this tv station can’t help because they are having a xmas party at that time? whatever happened to public service? does it only work during duty hours? i think holidays are over rated, public service shouldn’t stop when there are people in need…

My heart and sympathy go to the family. Rich or poor, the Philippines is no longer a safe place to live especially under this evil regime. Why not try ABS-CBN and DZMM? I think they’re more accommodating. Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja or Ted Failon or Korina Sanchez could be of help. Gus Abelgas, Julius Babao, Pinky Webb could help too.

My oh my…. I offer Prayers for the Ludovico family, that is all I could do for now. Rest assured, I will keep my eyes and ears open for any news on Aiko. In my honest opinion, I woiuld think, napag tripan si Aiko. I am hoping for the best, but gearing up for the worst. What is happening to our society is very alarming.
For those who may have something to share about Aiko’s whereabouts, please contact the family, if you feel uncomforatble getting in touch with the family, please find a way to share your information through however means. You could even send me an e-mail if the Ludovico family would allow it. My e-mail : maydangalpa@yahoo.com
C’mon, Aiko is merely a young man.

  4. What was the exact location where he was last seen? The motorcycle’s? Definitely not robbery if the bike wasn’t driven by anyone aside from the victim. If not, the perpetrators live just around the area where the bike was found. I’m familiar with Laguna’s first district (San Pedro, Biñan and Sta. Rosa), sad to say, the number of cops can be counted by your fingers.

One afternoon last year, I saw in my Mom’s street in San Pedro, cops in a patrol car chasing a scooter motorcycle. Later in the evening it was on the news that cops shot and killed 2 men riding tandem on a bike they apparently stole. It was the same men and the same bike I saw drive past me! The shooting reportedly happened in Southwoods, a sparsely inhabited subdivision between Biñan and Carmona Cavite – a usual dumping ground for salvage victims since the gate guards allow but a few cars to pass through on the way to Dasma or Carmona. It’s about 20 minute drive from where I saw them last.

The Ludovico incident might be similar especially if it was found out later that Aiko was simply a victim of mistaken identity, the body might have been hidden somewhere in the area to cover up a “palpak” operation. Cops there are hot against bike riders, especially at night when a lot of holdups and snatchings happen even in the most secure subdivisions. Jessica Soho is the wrong person to go to. Mike Enriquez and his Imbestigador staff will be in a better position to help. Susan Enriquez, I believe, also lives in that area. If they can’t get help from GMA then of course, go to ABS-CBN!

Hope they also look at this angle.

Instead of Aiko, it should have happened to the three rich Alabang Boys.

Nakakalungkot ang ganitong balita, but still we need to manage how to cope up all this trials kasi nga ang daming tulad niya ang biktima ng kawalang takot sa Dios na Lumikha.

  7. I gave them the numbers of the tv personalities you mentioned. I hope something comes out of it.

Tongue, I’ll ask the mother again.

The Tulfo brothers are also good in such matters.

Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja appear to be more reliable. They were first to expose the “Hello Garci” tape, and prevented the attempt on Jun Lozada’s life when his wife contacted Tunying and Gerry to report about the airport incident.

I’ll offer some prayers for his safety.

Between GMA and ABS-CBN, I think the latter (Kapamilya) is more reliable these days. For one thing, the Lopezes are not in good terms with the Arroyos. So, their employees, staff especially radio and TV commentators are now very critical of the Arroyo Administration. Mere mention of GMA-7 turns me off because it sounds like the evil GMA which we all hate.

This is disturbing, would the family of Aiko ask the assistance of NBI pls.? kung sa pulis lang dyan sa Binan? walang mangyayari …at yung xxx (ng Channel 2 mas nakakatulong yun, instead of Reunion ng GMA.

  13. MPRivera MPRivera

  15. MPRivera MPRivera

hindi pala mahilig sa hulidap kundi HULINAP.

  16. Another reporter who lives in the San Pedro-Biñan area who could help is Tony Calvento. Especially if there is a drugs-related angle, Tony knows many assets who could get the right info.

  17. Reading the title of this loop, I thought the missing person was female because Aiko is a female name in Japan, meaning “love child.”

I hope the family will find him.

    Kawawang bansa!

You must be thinking about Aiko Melendez…he, he.

  19. Valdemar Valdemar

There was this girl that just faded away from her chaperon close to a church, forgot her name, but she even became famous for it. Then suddenly she came out from the cold with her boyfriend after some time. So, I guess, Aiko will also come back, too, perhaps with a girl friend and lets put in something like a small bouncing baby. Lets not start blaming people, lets look for Aiko. The case of Aiko may not deserve a scoop yet or the police have other more interesting and developing sensational cases at the moment. Aiko is a Japanese name. A girl’s name?

  20. bitchevil bitchevil

There are lots of missing persons other than Aiko. My friend who’s an UFO buff often tells me that sometimes they’ve been abducted by aliens from outer space.

  21. MPRivera MPRivera

    yuko,

  24. Yup, “Aiko” is a girl’s name in Japan. It is Japanese as in the name of Aiko Melendez, who, I understand is part Japanese.

  26. bitchevil bitchevil

Aiko’s late father was a Japanese mestizo. If Aiko is a woman’s name, then Aika is for man?
