  1. I don’t know what Gloria and Esperon want to happen but if they have an ounce of common sense left, they should cut and run.

This whole banana trial is a mockery of justice.

  2. You bet, Anna, it is kangaroo court. Tawag diyan, “Nanduduro lang!” Trying to show bravado and fearlessness even when she knows she is wrong and “her days are numbered”!!!

The more good men she tries to antagonize, the better the chance of her being removed from Malacanang sooner than we thought. She cannot even now claim that Bush can help her, but true to form, this woman will try to get to the Democrats and pretend she’s on her side. Their bosom friend in the Bay Area, in fact, claims that he is the stalwart of Filipino Democrats in California! Palapit na palapit na! No doubt about that!

  3. Yuko,

I am livid with anger that in a nation of more than EIGHTY THOUSAND SOULS, this immoral bansot is still in power.

Our real problem is we have a tiny armed forces, a little more than 120,000 officers and men oversseing the defence (or offence of their countrymen) of an archipelago which is much like its sworn enemies, rag tag nations (islands).

So what happens is that with such a small armed forces (the army being 85,000 more or less only) scattered over a nation of so many islands, it is difficult for our good officers and men to assemble to form one unit with the same esprit de corps.

A massive movement of sympathetic troops in support of our officers and men of honor will immediately be noticed. With no back-up, it’s difficult for the good ones in the AFP to bring the fight to Malacanang.

Naku Ellen, these military persons are very principled young looking guys! No wonder the Pidal woman and her ilk are shaking in fear.
The ideal situation is the “komander in thief” facing these guys in a public trial, eye to eye. Just wishing!
Mabuhay ang “Men of Honor” being persecuted by the devious dwende.

  5. The problem, Anna, is there are actually now just a few good Filipinos in the Philippines to help the few good men not in jail in the Philippine military to stage a takeover as in the case of Venezuela when the little people there—the poor majority—rallied behind Hugo Chavez.

I’m beginning to think that this must be one of the purposes of this massive deployment of Filipino workers even to countries where they are not welcome or the host countries are reluctant to accept them as in the case of Japan that is actually not ready to accept these super atsay and atsoy disguised as caregivers to Japan. The lesser masa, who are being replaced with pensioners from overseas, are left in the country, the better.

It’s common sense as a matter of fact. One does not even have to have the brain of an Einstein to see this clearly.

  6. I should add, talagang nakakulo ng dugo. Oops, gotta go to bed now. I cannot afford to have a relapse. Will read your notes in the morning.

  7. Matter of fact, the smallness of our badly equipped and the unprofessionalism in our armed forces plus the type of national topography and terain we have, couple that with the number of islands we have, the Philippines would be incapable of repelling a determined nation-invader.

The country, for example, would buckle under a determined attack from a superior Malaysian air, land and navy attack in a few days.

To start with, Malaysia has 2 submarines among the offensive contents of its war arsenal. They also have at the moment, more than, armed and ready to fire 200,000 VSHORADS capable of inflicting heavy damage on our troops instantly if an invasion scenario happened(and since they have lots of money and good gredit with the West, they could order missiles by the tens of thousands right away.)

    ystakei,
Bago siya makahalik sa talampakan ni Hillary, two/three long years pa! The devil woman by then ay pinagdududuraan na.

  9. Chabeli Chabeli

I salute these men. Why is it that when Angelo Reyes and the rest of the Baboons withdraw their support for Erap they were considered heroes? These men who withdraw their support for Gloria are now considered, “coup plotters”? If the stories are true that Nonong Cruz was “against the declaration of Martial Law,” these men did just that. They withdrew their support from a FAKE President because they, too, did not want to support Martial Law. These men are to be commended and praised! On the other hand, the assh*ole Esperon who was even made into a 4-Star General FOR CHEATING for the Midget, should continued to be egged with rotten ones!

  10. Chabeli Chabeli

For those who are voting in this coming 2007 Election, show your DISGUST and ANGER against this LOW-LIFE ADMINISTRATION of ENANO (Midget) and CERDO (Pig)!!!

From what I understood thus far, these are the jerks who have plans to run under Gloria’s slate for the Senate. DO NOT VOTE FOR THE FOLLOWING BABOONS:
    1. Budget Secretary Rolando Andaya
    2. Environment Secretary Angelo Reyes
    3. Health Secretary Francisco Duque, III
    4. House Majority Leader Prospero Nograles
    5. Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita
    6. Manila Mayor Jose Atienza, Jr.
    7. Tourism Secretary Ace Durano
    8. Presidential Chief of Staff Michael Defensor
    9. Surigao Representative Prospero Pichay
10.Technical Skills and Development Authority (TESDA)
    Secretary General Jose Syjuco

    Gloria should get BUSHWHACKED!

  11. Elvira Sahara Elvira Sahara

I consider these men as Heroes too! They, who have the courage to stand the Truth! In other words, they’re the only who got the “BAlls”.
Thanks for the list Chabeli! I have to have a copy of this to send to my relatives and friends to remind them not to vote if ever they decide to run this coming election!

  12. I will campaign in Batangas personally AGAINST ED ERMITA just as I campaigned there against Rene de Villa personally when he ran for president!

  13. Chabeli,

You forgot to include also Mike Jimenez, the guy who was convicted in the US and therefore has a criminal record in the USA. Filipinos should be wary to elect such kind of person. Maraming puedeng iboto sa totoo lang!

  14. norpil norpil

don’t forget to bring your sword j’anne plus your dog.

  15. Chabeli Chabeli

    Elvira Sahara,
That’s a great idea “to have a copy of this to send to my relatives and friends to remind them not to vote if ever they decide to run this coming election!”

It is also possible that there may be some who will PRETEND to be anti-Gloria only to jump back into the ENANA’s ship when they re-elected. We must be vigilant!
    ——————–
    Ystakei,
I didn’t know that Mark Jimenez was also running for the Senate under the ENANO’s slate.

Feel free to add to the list, so that all will be aware!

    Let’s BUSHWHACK Gloria!

Hearings on despite absence of complaint-affidavits

“Coup plotters” slam DoJ for sloppy probe, charges

    By Benjamin B. Pulta

    Daily Tribune 11/14/2006

Only in the Philippines and under the regime of President Arroyo can respondents be ordered by the Department of Justice (DoJ) to reply to government charges of the crimes of rebellion and coup d’etat despite the absence of complaint-affidavits charging them with such crimes.

A virtual garrison was made of the DoJ compound yesterday as prosecutors insisted on hearing the rebellion case against military personnel and civilians named in a supposed attempt to oust Mrs. Arroyo last Feb. 24 even as no complaint has been made by any complainant.

Three Navy trucks filled with camouflaged Marines bristling with assault rifles complemented a group of helmeted policemen on securing the DoJ compound in Padre Faura Street in Manila after protesters tried to stage a demonstration in front of the agency.

A handful of retreating demonstrators continued to shout slogans and held

placards inside the University of the Philippines’ Manila compound adjacent to the DoJ.

Former UP president Francisco Nemenzo, one of those listed in the charge sheet, claimed the investigation done by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on the case was a slipshod witchhunt on Arroyo administration foes.

During the preliminary investigation itself the respondents’ lawyers asked the DoJ’s panel of prosecutors led by Senior State Prosecutor Deana Perez to drop the charges, citing the absence of the complaint from the police and NBI.

“How can we answer the complaint when there is no complaint in the first place?” lawyers Marvic Leonen, Rene Saguisag and Homobono Adaza said, pointing out that all the NBI and the Philippine National Police (PNP) submitted to the Justice department was a mere referral letter.

Despite this glaring error, Perez denied the respondents’ motion, but she ordered the NBI Special Task Force Chief Reynaldo Esmeralda and PNP chief Director General Jesus Abarsoza to appear on the next hearing on Nov. 20 and answer the allegations of the respondents.

Respondents are reportedly ready to go to the Court of Appeals (CA) to ask for a restraining order to stop the DoJ from conducting the preliminary investigation against them, especially in the absence of a complaint against them by the police.

It was pointed out that the DoJ should have ended the hearing due to the absence of the complaint, since the respondents cannot be expected to reply to the charges when there is no complaint on which they can base their reply.

As the DoJ panel denied the lawyers’ motion to dismiss, it was evident, the lawyers and their clients said, that the prosecutors were showing their clear bias favoring the NBI and the PNP.

Present during the hearing were Maj. Gen. Renato Miranda, Colonels Ariel Querubin and Orlando De Leon, First Lts. Nathaniel Rabonza, Sonny Sarmiento, Second Lieutenant Aldrin Baldonado, Chief Supt. Marcelino Franco, lawyer Ruel Pulido, Renato Constantino, Maui Constantino and Francisco Nemenzo, among others.

Also accused of involvement in the failed coup attempt against the Arroyo administration are Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim, Col. Januario Caringal; Lt. Colonels Armando Bañez, Custodio Parcon, Achilles Segumalian, Nestor Flordeliza, Edmundo Malabanjot; Majors Jason Laureano, Jose Leomar, Oriel Pangcog; Captain James Sababan and Dante Langkit; First Lts. Angelbert Gay, Patricio Bumidang, Senior Supt. Benjamin Magalong, Don Pepe Araneta, former senator Gregorio Honasan, Council on Philippine Affairs (Copa) chair Pastor Boy Saycon, former ambassador Roy Señeres, Jaime Regalario, retired Lt. Col. Reynaldo Cabauatan, former RAM officers Felix Turingan and Jake Malajacan, retired Colonels Rafael Galvez, Victor Batac and Mel Acosta, lawyer Christopher Belmonte, Christina “Friday” Antonio, Betina Balderama, Michael Yangzon, Jess Fernandez, Allan Paje, Jay Malajacan, Prudencio Calubid, Leo Velasco, Edelberto Silva, Tirso Alcantara and several John and Jane Does.

Former University of the Philippines president Francisco Nemenzo also cited another blunder committed by the government investigators when they failed to get his name right.

He said the NBI committed a mistake in the referral letter, and the subpoena is proof that the NBI and police did a sloppy job in the investigation conducted against him and his 48 other co-accused with rebellion.

“If the attachments to the subpoena are all the evidence they can produce, the NBI and CIDG are wasting the time of the state prosecutors, including myself in the rebellion case. They did such a sloppy job that they could not even get my name right,” Nemenzo said.

“In the subpoena I am listed as ‘Prudencio Dodong Nemenzo.’ Everyone in UP knows my real name. A call to Diliman or a visit to UP Manila would have spared them from this embarrassing error,” he stressed.

Nemenzo added he could have taken advantage of the error and deny that he is one of the accused.”But I do not want to get off the hook through a technicality. I welcome this charge. no matter how silly and malicious, as an opportunity to reiterate the views that the Arroyo government seeks to suppress,” the former UP president said.

In a related development, Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffino Biazon yesterday hit out at the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the National Security Council for conducting a questionable indoctrination of officers and men of the AFP.

In a privilege speech yesterday, Biazon particularly questioned the authority in holding the seminars and lectures conducted among members of the AFP, which he said are undeniably political in nature.

Biazon, vice chairman of the house committee on national defense, was referring to some materials aimed at indoctrinating officers and men of the AFP, one of which is a booklet entitled “Armed Forces of the Philippines: Defender of the Nation, Guardian of Democracy and Servant of the People”, written by Romeo Intengan, SJ.

The conduct of the seminars or the so-called indoctrination of the soldiers using the materials was based upon the recommendation of National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales but none from the Secretary of the National Defense.

Because of this, he proposed that the House of Representatives through the committee on national defense conduct an inquiry in aid of legislation into the conduct of these “national awareness seminars” being conducted among soldiers.

Biazon said the Lower House must determine if these activities have the appropriate authority to be conducted, and find out if the contents of these seminars are in conjunction with established policies and direction of the national government, the defense department and the AFP.

“What is unclear is by what authority are these seminars being conducted among the AFP. A reading of the materials being distributed undeniably proves that these seminars are political in nature. In fact, the quote of Fr. Intengan is crystal clear – they aim to politicize the AFP, with the objective of convincing them that social democracy is the way to go,” Biazon said in his speech.

There is no question about the title of the booklet, he said, but stressed also that it “demonizes politicians through sweeping general statements, and without citing specifics or references, with the booklet presenting politicians as conniving with forces out to bring down the state.”

“The seminars being conducted are aimed at enticing the military to engage in partisan politics and (embrace) a certain political ideology,” he added.

The holding of seminars and the distribution of reading materials similar to the one written by Intengan, clearly violate the very essence of AFP’s role in the society – that AFP shall be insulated from partisan politics, he stressed.

What is more questionable is why the National Security Adviser has his hands all over this indoctrination program where he is not expected to step in.

“The National Security Adviser is not a part of the chain of command, therefore it cannot simply come in and conduct seminars for the Armed Forces. Authority and permission from the Secretary of National Defense and the AFP Chief of Staff is required before anyone can present to the members of the military, much more if political ideologies and concepts are involved,” he said.

Biazon expressed hope that the house leadership takes cognizance of this concern and give it a priority “since it appears that while we are all naively telling each other that the AFP must be apolitical, a group is silently creeping and stealing the minds of the Defenders of the Nation, Guardians of Democracy and Servants of the People.”

Over here, likewise, no one is charge in court without proper police investigations.

Langya, nakakatakot kahapon. 3 trucks of Marines brandishing Ultimax and M4A1s were there to secure the DOJ.

We were forced to park our cars inside UP-PGH compound where we met old classmates who now run the place. After a long drive from Diliman which was the meeting place of our group, umikot ang convoy namin sa Roxas Blvd. until we reached a break in the island where we turned left and proceeded to Herran when we decided to park inside UP Manila and walk towards the destination.

May plano na for future meetings. For me, That’s good enough.

Arroyo as concurrent defense chief not a good idea — Biazon

    by TJ Burgonio

SENATOR Rodolfo Biazon on Monday opposed a proposal for President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to concurrently hold the post of defense chief, saying that she would end up dividing her attention and performing poorly in both jobs.

    *****
Definitely not! It’s conflict of interest especially with more than a hundred soldiers (bemedalled at that) in incarceration for rebellion against her for using them in cheating the people they pledged allegiance to protect!!!

    PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA!

  24. Anna,

Someone at the Philippine Embassy has actually informed me that there is a move in the Philippines to terminate those who are suspected of not being loyal to the bogus president, and replaced with the planned recruitment of 300,000 strong that I am told would be recruited from Pampanga and perhaps the Visayas (Cebu and Bacolod maybe).

Parang kuto na mahirap alisin unless you use those chemicals to repel such parasites!

    PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA!

  25. Thanks, TongueT for the update. I never lose faith in our fellow UPians.

The Pidal woman as concurrent defense chief? ystakei, she’ll meet only with her Garci Generals, and kanyang mga galunggong.

Biazon said the Garci lady would be “peforming poorly in both jobs”. Nakakatawa at nakakaasar.

  28. btw, what’s the latest on gen. gudani and balutan? na court martial na rin ba sila ni Arroyo?

  29. we-will-never-learn we-will-never-learn

    Anna:
Your thinking is sound and you have a right to be livid and angry that in a population of eight million people no changes for the good have been forced on the government. But wouldn’t you agree that there’s no need to include the military, just a mass of one million serious civilians to demonstrate to Congressmen outside Congress to show the constituents are resentful of the vast and various corrupt practices that take place.
The problem is that the citizen will wait for ever, if, they are waiting for the military to make a move, there’s
no need to involve the military.
It would be easier to just involve a civilian mass of one million to stay there and refuse to stand down until the changes are made, just as they did in Bankok.

  30. Chi:

Nagpapasikat that she will take over the defense department as if she can really do the job. Iyon ngang SWD before, she was not able to accomplish anything but look at the statistics her propagandists have been showing to gullible lenders!

tongue, kung magho-hold kayo ng rally, i suggest your group provide countersigns among participants. and also passwords. in this way, madali ninyong madi-detect ang mga infiltrators na itatanim ng pidal national police (PNP) at intelligence service, armed forces of pidal (AFP) kung sakaling magkakaroon ng gulo sa dispersal kung saan gumagamit ng unwanted brutality ang mga pulis na matapang lang sa mga walang laban.

  32. Chabeli:

Over in Japan, a man who has been convicted and has never really repented nor have been reformed will never get elected here. Hopefully, Filipinos, with all their bad experiences under the reign of the bogus president, have learned their lessons not to be hoodwinked by these past, present and future criminals running for office in 2007 and 2010.

There is rumor that the daughter is being groomed to run for position in the Philippine government. How true this is, I do not know. But the attempt to give a good propaganda on her by using an unsuspecting “trabaho lang” Immigration officer was a telltale sign. Talagang taktika ni Satanas gaya noong PIG, who actually have identified themselves, knowingly and unknowingly as possessed of the disembodied spirits who introduced themselves to Christ as the “Legions” for “they are many”! Ironically, they transferred to some herd of pigs after they were exorcised from person they possessed. Call it prophetic but this group is identifiable with the spirits who entered those pigs that drowned in the dead sea.

Kung ako ang mga members na iyan, I’ll quit, and ask for absolution and special blessing to be exorcised of the evil spirits that possess them. Nakakakilabot! Bizarre! ;->

No matter how much they say this crook has done something good for her country, Filipinos in general should demand to be shown the proof. They should not depend on words of mouth and saliva just as her Internet Brigade demand that her critics substantiate and prove their allegations, Filipinos should demand proofs of Philippine prosperity based on earnings gained not by pimping Filipinos or selling of Filipino internal organs overseas, and foreign reserves that are not earned, not filled in with loans and grants from foreign lenders!!!

Enough is enough! The time for reckoning has come. The bogus president has ruled too long, longer than any of the presidents after Marcos, and has bungled up the very foundation of what is decent and proper. PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA! Dahan-dahan, bigla!!!

  41. Mrivera naman! Torture – you forgetting the terms of the Geneva Convention? Pero, sige na nga rin! Heh!

  42. Mrivera Mrivera

anna, those people (nga ba?) deserve only punishment from their kind. buti nga hindi ipasipsip sa kapwa nila linta.

    Bush departs for Asia today

Tue Nov 14, 7:25 AM ET

    WASHINGTON –
President Bush leaves today for an eight-day trip to Asia that will include his first-ever visit to Vietnam.

The highlight of the trip is the Pacific Rim summit in Vietnam. National Security Adviser
Stephen Hadley says trade, terrorism and bird flu will be the dominant topics of discussion.

Hadley says Southeast Asia has an active terrorist presence with links to al-Qaida.

At the same time, the U.S. and Vietnam are rapidly strengthening their ties and Bush hopes Congress passes a new trade bill this week.

En route to Vietnam, the president will make a stop in Moscow and Singapore. On his return home from Vietnam, the president will visit Indonesia and Hawaii.

  45. No visit to Manila? Shame, shame, shame! Heh! Goes to show that Bush thinks the immoral midget ain’t worth his time.

He must be saying to himself, “I got problems of my own and that blighting midget posturing in Manila as commander in chief better stop her double-faced approach, i.e., pitting Washington DC against Beijing. Who the hell does she think she is? If she continues to get on my nerves, I’ll sneeze and she’s gone, pfft.”

  46. chi chi

Anna, that’s what she gets from “kendeng dito sa Beijing”. Bush is a hawk, hindi bakla. Yeah, from what I heard last time we visited white, black and pinoy friends in DC and Maryland, the name of that midget by the pasig is already a taboo. pwe!–ra na siya.

  47. Chabeli Chabeli

He he he, buti nga kay Gloria! Goes to show how UNIMPORTANT this Midget is to the U.S. Wonder if Bush and Gloria will really have a one-on-one in Vietnam.

  48. chi chi

Anna,I am pretty sure that the stinking palace knew about Bush trip to Asia. Methink, the heads of the nations involved did not give her invite (nakakagulo lang kasi), or Bush himself did not want her presence at all.

  49. Chabeli Chabeli

Off topic…In one of the dailies today, I read that the Pig “…threatens to file libel more suits vs critics” and that “He won’t stop suing his media critics unless they stop “maligning” and “libeling” him.” Is this the Pig’s answer to the UNPRECENDENTED “open call” of the Joint Foreign Chamber (JFC) of Commerce “…for Malacañang to stop the political killings as these would impact on foreign investments”?

Dapat yata lechonin nalang kaya natin si FG!

In relation also to the JFC’s UNPRECENDENTED “open call” to Malacañan, the “the AFP yesterday declared the international human rights group Amnesty International (AI) “persona non grata” following the international group’s accusation that the government forces are behind the extra-judicial killings in the country”.

The nerve of the AFP to make such pronouncements!

  50. Chabeli,

Know what I think? Bush is having a one on one with every single head-of-state delegate to the summit. Nothing exceptional there. Like it or not, Bush has got to do it, being the president of the most powerful nation in the world and little nations in that summit need that one on one with him to show off back home.

Just that Bunye is heralding this to the Pinoy nation as if Gloria were the only one Bush is goint to meet. Sort of to keep the Pinoys in awe of the midget. The proof? Read the columns by the greatest ass lickers in Pinas media and they’re falling for the Bunye stunt, hook, line and sinker.

What we gotta ask ourselves is what kind of “gift” this immoral midget will take to Vietnam to give to Bush? You know, the kind of “abolition of death penalty” gift she had for the Pope and the “Melo Commission” gift she offered to the European Union chief… Will she give Bush a gift bearing the “list of leftists killed numbering more than 750 heads” to sort of make PASIKAT?

Problem with this midget in Malacanang is she’s underestimating foreign leaders. She thinks they buy her lines just because they smile at her and don’t tell her to her face that in reality they think she’s just one frigging midget liar.

  51. Chabeli Chabeli

    Anna de Brux,
Thanks for your comments. Good ones, if I may say! To add to what you metion that the Midget is “underestimating foreign leaders”, I must commend the EU though for making the first move to denounce her political killings! From my own lil’ world, I am more convinced that the EU has a more ‘no-nonsence’ attitude than the U.S.

  52. chi chi

Chabeli, invite ba si Glue sa Vietnam? That skipped my mind. Nada, zip, zilch, zero mention kasi ang Manila, eh :). Magpupumilit iyan na maka eye to eye man lang si Dubya, kahit sa kodakan man lang! Let’s wait and see.

Has there been a news that Glue will fly to Vietnam for this?

  53. chi chi

Oopps, Chabeli, huli ako sa Manila news. I just saw it. Mahirap talaga itong nasa bundok.

  54. Chi,

Hehheheh! I know that when she came to Europe to attend the summit in Helsinki, she would have wanted to go to France and be received by President Chirac. But nothing doing, so she didn’t go to France.

Matter of fact, NAGMAKAAWA lang sila so that Barroso, the former Portuguese PM turned EU chief to receive her in Brussels a month before the scheduled meeting. And guess, who was put ahead of her in the succession of national visitors visiting with Barroso that day? The Pakistani prez. Gloria was put at the last on the roll call, i.e., meeting was set at 17h00 initially and was postponed for 17h30 because Pakistan’s prez was more important than her! Heh!

Guess, how many secret service guards was put at her disposal by the Belgian govt? a team of 2 for the rotation while all the others, including Vietnam’s PM had at leas a team of 6 at a time!

Nah! Gloria would do well to listen to the JFC! She’s getting nuthin by way of foreign investments because she’s a frigging liar and means nuthin to a lot of investors!

  55. Chi,

Re: “Dubya, kahit sa kodakan man lang!”

Hahahah! Which reminds me of what FVR said in his speech to the joint Belgo-Piboy reception including some Germans in his honor some 2 weeks ago (but destined for the Belgo audience more than the Pinoy I suppose):

He said “Filipinos are famous for their 4Ks: Kawayan, Kamayan, Kainan at Kodakan!”

Tawa iyong mga Pinoy, of course Ambassador Ortega translated what FVR said for the benefit of the whites.

(I did not laugh coz I thought it was a corny joke!)

  56. chi chi

“Know what I think? Bush is having a one on one with every single head-of-state delegate to the summit. Nothing exceptional there. Like it or not, Bush has got to do it,..”

Anna, will he smile at Glue nakangiting-aso or nakangiwi? hehe!

Ah, for Bunyeta and members of the tianak’s spinning wheel, basta kasama si Dubya sa kodak, OK lang. Imamadyik na lang!

  57. Emilio_OFW Emilio_OFW

Generally, hawks does not mingle where turkeys tend to tribe.

It is the principle of silent co-existence that is currently prevailing between the two. Bush is currently faced with loads of domestic and international problems, especially in Iraq. For once in his life, he want to distance himself from Pandak and leave her alone.

She is more a problem than a solution to his predicament.

  58. Chi,
re: “Anna, will he smile at Glue nakangiting-aso or nakangiwi?”

Heheh! For as long as he doesn’t sneeze (because she might go pffft!) I reckon Gloria will glow in the aftermath of that Bush ngiti!

And I bet that even if Bush says, “Yo Gloria! Whadya doing here?”

  59. chi chi

Hahaha! Tapos nakita pa ang rally ninyo! That was a great thing you did, really!

“Guess, how many secret service guards was put at her disposal by the Belgian govt? a team of 2 for the rotation while all the others, including Vietnam’s PM had at leas a team of 6 at a time!”

This was a big sampal to her face! Buti nga. She’ll never go back to your place again, pinahirapan at pinahiya ninyo siya ng husto! The world caught it, so Dubya is kind of playing safe with this Bbbbeaaachhhh at present. Bush approval rating is so low that he can’t afford to be seen playing “happy together” with this fake president.

To add sa nagmamakaawa episode, I remember this Dwende was made to wait 30 min/an hour outside the office of Italian Prime Minister. BEGGAR for kodakan talaga.

  60. chi chi

“Filipinos are famous for their 4Ks: Kawayan, Kamayan, Kainan at Kodakan!”
    Ang corny naman ni FVR.

Anna, I wonder why FVR did not include KAWATAN! Oopps he’s describing Pinoys pala, not some philippine presidents.

  61. Chi,

What surprised me was with the number of members of local media from the biggies in Pinas who came with her on that trip to Europe, only one newspaper flashed the rally picture and story front page in Pinas.

They were all there, Manila Bulletin, GMA network, ABS-CBN, etc.

My friend who interviewed her for almost 1 hour broke the rally news instead of the contents of the “exlusive” interview. She was matapang (and I heard she’s now been declared persona non grata by midget!)

  62. chi chi

All the newspapers you mentioned continue serving Glue’s interests. Hawak sila sa leeg.

Good for your journalist friend. I admire matatapang na reporters. Sadly, not many of them when the country needed them most. Kasama sa payroll ng dwende ang nakararami.

I notice here that CNN and other big TV news stations do not make patol to this midget anymore. Napaso na.

  63. artsee artsee

  64. Takot na kasi halos lahat kasi either you get a lawsuit or a fat envelope.

I had an inkling that she was a no pansin when she went to the US trying hard to get “pansin.” Bush met her for only 10 minutes and told his deputy, Condie Rice to amuse her. Then, he made sure that she is gone before he took Japan’s PM Koizumi to his ranch after Putin. Si Bansot, no invitation there, and when she did not get any, she sucked the ambassador! Remember?

That’s why I do not believe that the US is really patronizing her unless she becomes useful to Bush, who is now like a meek lamb all of a sudden.

Anyway, Gloria will get her day with Bush—when the International Criminal Tribunal for Iraq convenes formally in the Hague or is it Brussels? Whatever, she is co-accused there with Bush, Blair and Koizumi. Abangan ito!

  65. chi chi

  67. Chi,

I try to adjust myself to US time para wala akong jet lag. Mas madali kasi ang adjustment ko pagbalik dito from US kaysa pagpunta doon. I’m trying to keep up with US time at the moment because of my trip there during the Christmas holidays that I want to spend with my mother and siblings.

Babalik ako ng tulog kapag naantok ulit ako. Meanhile, trabaho in between and then blogging for relaxation! I have some backlogs of translation as a matter of fact. Inuuna ko muna iyong madali tapos blog in between. Mahirap kasi ang walang kausap. At least, dito para akong nasa harap ng both friends and foes!!! 😉

  68. chi chi

Ay tunay ka ystakei, meek as a lamb dito ngayon ang Dubya. When Dems won, he immmediately invited Pelosi to an excellent lunch and congratulated Senate President Reid on the phone. Reid called him a loser earlier.

AN EXCELLENT READ ABOUT OUR MEN OF HONOR

    THERE’S THE RUB
    Two cases

    By Conrado de Quiros
    Inquirer
Last updated 00:10am (Mla time) 11/15/2006

Published on Page A14 of the November 15, 2006 issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer

THE first case has to do with the Marines who are currently under detention in Fort San Felipe, Cavite City. Tuesday last week was the 55th anniversary of the Marines. I don’t know that they had much to celebrate.

This country has only two living Marines who have received the Medal of Honor for bravery. They are Lt. Col. Ariel O. Querubin and Capt. Custodio P. Parcon Jr. Querubin was given the medal for leading his men against the heavily fortified camp Abdulatef of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. Despite heavy bombardment, he and his men held their ground. At great personal risk, Querubin drew enemy fire to himself to expose the enemy’s position. They continued to hold their ground despite several ferocious assaults by the enemy. After their reinforcements arrived, they subdued the camp.

Parcon got his medal for rescuing Abu Sayyaf kidnap victim Luis Anthony Biel III. His citation reads almost like an FPJ movie. In the course of a three-day engagement with the bandits, Parcon’s unit was pinned down by enemy fire. Parcon crawled toward the enemy under cover of grass and bush and took out the enemy single-handedly. When reinforcements arrived, they overran the Abu Sayyaf camp and rescued Biel.

Both Querubin and Parcon are currently detained in the maximum-security prison in Cavite, along with four other much decorated Marines.

The other case has to do with Dodong Nemenzo. Who is Dodong Nemenzo? Well, you must have lived in the mountains or some obscure corner abroad all this time to not know him. You don’t even have to be a graduate of the University of the Philippines (UP) to know him. Though Dodong was at one point the UP president, his accomplishments go well past UP. He is one of the foremost political scientists in this country. His academic credentials are formidable, and well known beyond this country’s borders.

He has never hidden his activist bent, but has openly expressed it, if not indeed advertised it. In the past, that was regarded as a boon: to be an activist while an academic meant to practice as one preached. It meant to stop being academic while being an academic. Today, that is regarded as a crime. Stealing the vote is not regarded as a crime, murder is not regarded as a crime, ruling without a mandate is not regarded as a crime. Activism is regarded as a crime.

The first thing that these two cases have in common is that they involve people who have shown courage and/or dedication over and beyond the call of duty. The first thing they have in common is that they have shown an enormous capacity and desire to serve the people. What are they being tried for?

Lt. Col. Achilles Segumalian, the burly Marine we all saw on TV at the Fort Bonifacio standoff saying all the Marines wanted were clean and honest elections, hit the nail on the head with a joke. He “offered” government his services to cheat in next year’s elections. “Since wanting clean and honest elections will send you to jail, I am now supporting election fraud so I can be free and be promoted like those who were involved in cheating.” Segumalian, like Lt. Col. Alexander Balutan and Brig. Gen. Francisco Gudani, personally witnessed the cheating in Lanao and neighboring areas.

What are they in jail for? They are in jail for believing the Marines should live up to their code of honor and duty.

Nemenzo on the other hand is being tried for plotting to oust the people currently holding power (I doubt if he would call them “government”). He is on trial because of the word of people whom Armed Forces chief Hermogenes Esperon’s boys are guarding like the national treasure, and who cannot be interviewed by the media to see if they were not made to say things under duress. He is on trial because, as he himself put it in his opening statement (he refused to have a lawyer say it for him), he is resolved to defend the democracy this country won back during the two People Power uprisings at much sacrifice.

He argues that rebellion involves the use of arms or force, and he has never used arms or force, other than the arms of solidarity and the force of reason. A rally, he says, however mammoth, does not constitute rebellion. Wishing for a coup, however ardent, is not rebellion. Indeed, he says, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is lucky the protest movement has not yet reached the stage of rebellion—but which this trial among others is likely to spark.

But even if you grant that what he has done constitutes rebellion, even if you grant that what Querubin et al. have done constitutes rebellion, the question is: What are they rebelling against?

They are rebelling against an order that was put up against the wishes of the voters and against all the tenets that the military and academic communities at their best stand for. They are rebelling against an order that extols — no, sanctifies — wrongdoing of every possible shape and hue, and damns — no, extirpates — every effort to correct it. They are rebelling against an order that has resurrected the corpse of dictatorship and is regaling the world with its stench, calling it enchanted. They are rebelling against an order that is so rotten to the core the maggots are oozing out of it like pus from gangrenous wound. They are rebelling against an order that has no right to exist.

The only thing worse than setting a hundred guilty persons free is jailing one innocent one. The only thing worse than rewarding a hundred people who do wrong is punishing one person who tries to stop it. The only thing worse than Arroyo and Esperon not being tried for plain existing is Nemenzo and Querubin et al. being tried for bravely rebelling.

As with most cases in this country, particularly today, these cases do not reflect on the tried, they reflect on the trier. You charge Nemenzo and Querubin with rebellion, you might as well charge 85 million Filipinos with rebellion.

You will find them guilty as charged.

  70. Mrivera Mrivera

  71. Mrivera Mrivera

“This country has only two living Marines who have received the Medal of Honor for bravery. They are Lt. Col. Ariel O. Querubin and Capt. Custodio P. Parcon Jr. Querubin was given the medal for leading his men against the heavily fortified camp Abdulatef of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.”

chi, display of gallantry and courage that cannot be matched by asoperon, the chief K9 of glutonia. one thing that makes him firm in putting them in jail is his envy to these REAL MEN OF HONOR.

to these gentlemen, my snappy salute! carry on with the fight! your heroic course will prevail in the end!

  72. chi chi

    Mrivera,

    Envy, only for the inferior!

  74. Mrivera Mrivera

  76. Totoo yan Yuko…

If a member of the middle class is decent, he/she will feel the economic pînch so I was told.

  77. chi chi

Another reason why the middle class is running away from pinas.

  78. npongco npongco

What we need is a strong middle class like the US. For as long as the gap between the rich and poor becomes wider, poverty shall increase. Colonial and crab mentalities are not limited to just the Western countries. Even in Asia if one has been away from his motherland for too long. Then, all he talks and writes are nothing but how good his adopted country is.

  79. Of course, Anna! Tuta lang naman ni Bansot ang umaayon sa kaniya directly or indirectly as we observe the whiners in this blog, who cannot deny that they are either here to create chaos on the payroll of the Bansot or simply sick in the head!!! Lurker or stalkers ang tawag diyan. Mahirap naman i-ignore if one is in the Philippines like Ellen especially when there are already 750 or more extrajudicial killings on record.

Ingat Ellen. You are definitely being stalked. At least, in my case, I can ignore the stalkers by simply ignoring their posts. I don’t even bother reading them so I won’t be tempted to send equally poisonous replies. Susmaryosep! Kalibog!

  80. npongco npongco

Me a stalker? I don’t have the money and time to stalk you from Japan to SF. You always claim to ignore my posts; but why are you crying foul? You know every post that I write so you’re reading my posts. The only reason why you stay long in this blog and continue to lord over all of us is your special relationship with our good moderator. Other than this advantage, you’re just a shit. Read this before Ellen gets to delete this again.
