First Statement of Marine Capt. Nicanor Faeldon

Why spring?

For more than two years, I have kept my silence, hoping I was wrong about the Arroyo government. Instead, the events have proven me right – she is corrupt and ruthless, and she will do anything to stay in power.

I leave now to join the fight for a credible government, though I will not benefit from this. The government and the military have tried to break me and my group for more than two years, linking us to the opposition and accusing us of accepting money to oust Arroyo. Arroyo and her cohorts have tried to break everyone who disagrees with them, and I am sure they will continue to do everything they can to break me.

This early I swear: I will not accept any position in government, either in this one or the next. There is no reward for me in this fight except the knowledge that should I die, I die in peace, for I am fighting for our people and our country.

    Ellen,

Ah, beware the ides of youth! Just the same, Ellen, could you please transmit this message to Captain Faeldon.

Captain Faeldon, you seem to have what it takes to make the difference – courage. Go young man go!

Its the likes of you that this country needs. But please don’t forget your vow.

Many soldiers who became great men started to live up to their sworn ideals at your age.

You don’t need the incredible IQ of an Einstein nor the reckless courage of a Custer to be good at what you are about to do but you will need lots of iron-clad tenacity, great discipline and plenty of common sense to guide you in your daunting task.

Should you need help, please let me know. I will try to do my very best and will ask friends to do the same.

Good luck and God be with you.

    Anna de Brux

I am this adventurous type of a fellow
during the 89 coup I was held up or bullied by son of rebels who were barkadas by taking my ICOM radiio that became an issue because I wrote a formal letter to Mrs. Gojo requesting for the equipment to be returned

the following year we just laughed at it over a bottle of beer and after wards I was invited to his wedding inside the BNS with future senator Gregorio Honasan as the guest of honor and one of the ninongs circa 92….

I am very happy for what Capt. Faeldon is doing. You cannot be called as “Enemy of the State” since im one of those what they called the “State”. “Enemy of the forces of Evil living in Malacañang” is more appropriate. Im sorry Datu Arroyo and Lily Arroyo even if you are good to be with you guys are still member of the “Black Family”. Go! Capt. Faeldon, when time comes we the sleeping lions will rally behind you. You know where to go…

  10. The enemy of the state is Gloria arroyo because she is destroying the state!

You are a Jedi Knight, the symbol of what is good and just in the galaxy. You are in control of your feelings though you may rarely do something considered dark or think of yourself before others. Hardly any darkness makes it through you.

You are a very skilled fighter and have heightened mental and athletic abilities only other can dream of. You use your abilities not for yourself though but to help others, and while you have probably killed, it was either in defense of others or in defense of yourself. You prefer to negotiate or detain rather then kill as both give your soul much easier rest. You command the respect of a great many and as many Jedi were you are probably a high ranking officer in an army.

You have little left to accomplish as becoming a Master is a matter of completely giving yourself to the Force and being respected by other Jedi. Teach yourself new things and seek out training you have not had yet and you may very well become a Jedi Master. Be wary of the Sith, as they will seek to destroy and those around you

Mabuhay ka Capt. Faeldon!

  13. Michelle Ocampo Michelle Ocampo

I will say again what I had been telling friends since Corazon Aquino came to power in 1986, that this country needs a genuine bloody revolution – the cleansing kind. Enough of fake revolutions that permit reconciliation without justice.. that allow corrupt and crony officials to go on temporary exile only to return again to peddle their old trade.

There is no strong bond of nationhood that unites you and me. We have no revolutions to speak of! EDSA? Hahaha! We never won our freedom from our Spanish plunderers! Nor from our American colonialists! We didn’t have a choice when America went to war with Japan. Funny, how America gave so much assistance to the post-war reconstruction of Japan than to its ally, the Philippines, who gave up so many thousands of lives of her sons and daughters. History ought to be re-written!

Damn, I admire yet at the same time pity our overseas Filipino workers.. Admire because you have the courage to leave your families behind to search for better opportunities and secure your future. Pity, because your love for your country is misguided. The battle is here in the Philippines! Do not surrender your motherland to a handful of corrupt officials and oligarchs who for decades have systematically raped our nation not only of its wealth but of its pride and dignity!

Why don’t we send our government officials abroad to work for a change to earn us dollars, huh? What a tragedy we have become, the very remittances that you so laboriously worked for overseas are the very resources that prop up and feed the crocodiles in power! This cycle sucks big time!

I hope that day will come. When i’d looked up at Meralco electic posts and see the dead bodies of corrupt congressmen, senators, and other officials in government hanged and bludgeoned to death by the fed-up Filipinos!

    Damn,

  14. Michelle Ocampo Michelle Ocampo

I will say again what I had been telling friends since Corazon Aquino came to power in 1986. That what this country needs is a genuine bloody revolution – the cleansing kind! Enough of the counterfeit revolutions that allow reconciliation without justice – that allow corrupt government officials and their cronies to go on temporary exile only to return and peddle the same old trade again!

There is no strong bond of nationhood that unites you and me. EDSA? Hahaha! Half a century of democratic self-rule has only gotten us this far down the drain. History will tell you Filipinos – regionalistic by nature (thanks a bunch to our archipelagic geography) were never united and so failed to gain our freedom from our Spanish plunderers who for only three centuries, systematically raped our nation, women, and children. Same with our American colonialists, a half-century of plunder and interference on internal affairs that lasts even to this day. Shame, our fathers sided with them Americans in their war with the Japanese because they didn’t have a choice. The Filipinos lost so many thousands of its sons and daughters during this war. Yet, America chose to gave more post-war reconstruction assistance to Japan than to its ally, the Philippines.

I admire yet pity our overseas Filipino workers. Admire because they found the courage to leave their families behind to search for better economic opportunities outside their motherland. Pity, because their love of country is misguided if not, shallow. The very remittances in US billion dollars you so laboriously worked for – blood, sweat, and tears – are the very resources that continue to prop-up and feed the corrupt officials in government! The same people who would want you to leave your motherland because a hungry nation of empty stomachs will only lead to trouble.. Please, do not surrender our motherland to a handful of corrupt officials. We are a nation of 80 million or more Filipinos. There are only less than 300 national officials dictating our miseries!

I hope that day will come.. When I would looked up and see the dead bodies of corrupt congressmen, senators, and other government officials and their cronies hanged high up each Meralco post! Damn, WE FILIPINOS DESERVE A BETTER LIFE!

I salute Capt Faeldon with his noble deed of trying to awaken the masses who seem to be jaded by the ongoings in Philippine politics. The root cause of our country’s ills are the old – traditional politicians who cling to power through any means.First they run for Senator and when their terms are up, then run for congressman and vise versa. Their kin are not without talent but those of us who watch on the sidelines can not stop thinking – are those kids idealists or just protecting their family interests? With all due respect to these young breed of politicians, they do bring a breath of fresh air and assurance that some of them are idealists of some sort.
Then there are the communists – who are also guilty of their own “dynasty”. They are the ones who have trashed our democracy into their own brand of freedom. They HATE anyone in power, they talk about freedom and democracy, cry foul when dispersed. But are they within bounds of the law? NOT in so many ways but dont let the police disperse them, they will cry FOUL.With that idiot Jose Ma Sison and his lengthy disertation about the ills of democracy, what are you doing in the Netherlands. Patay na si Marcos, come back and face your enemies. No, he cant because he has lost of skeletons that will hunt him here, some political debts as well. SHUT UP na, the Pinoys are tired of your rhetorics. The US is right, Magno is right, you are nothing but thugs who kill innocent people and try to glorify you cause by blaming ills on the military. WE BELIEVE IN THE MILITARY- Faeldon, Trillanes and Company are true officers and gentlemen. The NDF/CPP NPA are useless beings not even qualified to be called combatants but cowards who prey on the innocent citizens in the country side or abuse the patience of the mass majority of the country that abhor the communist cause. What about the rest of the citizenry, the vast majority that do not and will not believe in the communist cause. Which by the way no longer is relevant this day and age, it a failure. But why do we allow them to advocate their cause, when our soldiers who have vowed to protect the Republic, is cast in the same lot as those NPA rebels who seem to be just an annoyance to the country?
Capt Faeldon is fighting for those of us who believe in the TRUE democracy. Our country can never survive in total democracy. The leftists will take advantage of it almost immediately like they do. We need a military state in order to instill discpline on the Pinoys. We need idealist soldiers like Trillanes and Faeldon to lead this country and do away with NDF/CPP-NPA who serve no purpose but to create havoc and distrust in our system of government. In any of their rethoric since the time of Marcos, have they addressed or even acknowledged the legitimacy of the present dispensation. NEVER. They never respected the seat of power, never respected the office of the President. They carry their sickle and hammer during demonstrations, like it was a cure for our country’s ills. The cure is to send the likes of Satur Ocampo and Ka Roger to China and exile them there permanently – yung naman ang gusto nila, communism eh di sa China na lang sila manirahan. Let’s see if they can be as loud and boisterous and criminal as they are and get away with it in China. Sige nga, tignan natin

    “mea culpa”

    Dear Captain Faeldon,
Arroyo is not the problem. I am the problem and so are the other Filipinos contributing to the negative effects the country is experiencing for the past century … it was gradual and not just during the last few years.
I was an activist against Martial Law during my younger years. Then I realized that I cannot change the world because it is beyond me … so, I decided to change my own self, start the change from within me.
I realized that there is only One Messiah. And, He alone can effect change. The Real Messiah creates “miracles” that we often mistake as “luck” or “suwerte”. I also decided not to equate “mabuti na lang” with “miracles” because the use of “mabuti”, in this context, is the work of the fallen angel … ex: “‘mabuti na lang’ hindi ako nahuli nung nag-shop-lift ako” or “‘mabuti na lang’ nakatakas ako”.
Capt Faeldon, don’t tell people to change … instead, preach and be a model of change in oneself.

Capt. Faeldon, I salute your dedication and love for your country.

I salute a person who takes the initiative and pursues the belief. A man of your stature knows what he’s up to and up againts.
Support in any form be it spiritual, moral, physical or whatever is being pledged by a few of us. But the few when bound together might make the difference.
    God be with us!

To Captain Nicanor Faeldon, SALUDO PO AKO SA INYO!!!!

  23. Jericho Jericho

I LOVE ALL YOUR RESPONSES. CAPT FAELDON KITA MO NA ANG RESPONSE NG BAYAN! MARAMI KAMING SUSUPORTA SA INYO AT MGA KASAMA NINYO. I live in San Francisco CA but a lot of your kababayans here in the US are tired of POLITICS AS USUAL and you will be surprised at how we all admired the MAGDALO Group during the Oakwood uprising. There are a lot, I mean a lot of Filipinos who believe in your idealism. There will be a lot who will speak out in your favor and support you. You can count on me to be one of them. BE BRAVE KNOWING THAT WE FILIPINOS SUPPORT YOUR CAUSE. ITULOY MO ANG KAGITINGANG GINAGAWA NINYO CAPTAIN. SALAMAT AT MAYROONG MATATAPANG NA KAGAYA NINYO NILA TRILLANES

    Dear CAPT FAELDON,

What you did was really inspiring. Amidst all the good opportunities you had in the service, amidst all the good things that will still come your way and all the luxuries in life you still wanted something good to happen to our country. My prayers will always be with u Sir. May the good force be with u and the rest of the TRUE BLOOD MAGDALO.
    My snappy salute Sir!

We filipinos who live abroad have longing desire in our soul to come home! We live in exile. I say exile loosley because it is not by free choice that we leave our mother land, but by necessity..no more..no less.

I have been working in the US for nearly 20 years and have been constantly praying for the salvation of the Philippines. I wasn’t born in the Philippines, though I grew up there. In any rate, the reason why we left the mother land: all we want is a better life. A life enjoyed by millions around the world. A life that could have been ours if only the Philippine Governement wasn’t so corrupt and inadequate. I do not complain of the blessings that God has given me. Nevertheless, I still long to come home. Captain Faeldon, though we cannot physically join you in your efforts, know in our hearts and hopes..WE SUPPORT YOU!

  26. Bawal Bawal

Capt Faeldon, don’t tell people to change … instead, preach and be a model of change in oneself.

    Hoy Bawal,
Before you preach him to change, you should look at yourself BAWAL. Dahil those that support Arroyo need to be exiled or shot in the head. Our country needs change badly so the majority of Filipinos can be helped. Those like you BAWAL think only of yourselves.
