Gems from readers

Reactions from readers never cease to fascinate me.

Like this quick one from Anna, who is based in Brussels, on the comment of US Ambassador Kristie Kenny that” “one person who is not allowing your citizens to live a peaceful, productive life is one person too many.”

Anna said: “Hmmm… I like this US ambassador! She’s been able to pinpoint our real problem but said it so diplomatically. Moreover, unlike Gloria who likes dagdags (addition), Mrs. Kenney prefers bawas (subtraction). Yes, Madame Ambassador, Gloria is one person too many!”

Kenny’s statement actually was said in the context of global terrorist threat.

Speaking of terrorism, Malacañang has again given it a new definition.

Reacting to the explosion at Camp Bagong Diwa last Tuesday, presidential chief of staff Mike Defensor said: “It’s a terrorist act by those who want to bring down the Arroyo government.”

“Destabilizers” have now been promoted to “terrorists.”

If wanting to oust Arroyo, because she cheated in the 2004 elections, is terrorism, then former President Cory Aquino, former President Estrada, former Vice president Teofisto Guingona, the Hyatt 10, all the congressmen who signed the impeachment complaint last year and those who will be signing the complaint this month, and the majority of the Filipinos who want her to step down, are terrorists.

This one is from Emilio Pablo who is now in Saudi Arabia:

Nagkaroon ng exam ang agencies ng USA para malaman kung sino sa mga agencies ang magaling mag-execute ng manhunt. Ang mga participants ay:

New York Police Department, USA.

Federal Bureau of Investigation, USA.

Central Intelligence Agency, USA

Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (Special International Guest Participant)

Each agency was given three months to find the rabbit.

Unang grupong contestant, NYPD.

After three months, lumabas ang NYPD sa gubat.

Nag release sila ng press statement, “After three months of intensive search for the white rabbit, we regret to inform you that because the rabbit had a head start, it was able to elude our units, and was able to pass through our dragnet. The rabbit has escaped.”

After three months, lumabas ang FBI sa gubat.

Nag release rin sila ng press statement: “After three months of finding the white rabbit, we had some interesting leads. However, as we were closing in on its location, somebody must have tipped it off, and it was able to elude us by disguising as a deer. The rabbit has escaped.”

Next ang CIA.

Pumasok ang CIA, at dahil meron silang special powers to request assistance from the US Military, dinala na rin nila ang US Army para tulungan sila sa paghanap.

After three months of firefight, bombing, and special operations, lumabas ang CIA sa gubat.

Sabi nila sa press statement: “We used everything at our disposal. We didn’t leave any stone unturned. We bombed everything in sight. I’m sure, you will not find any rabbit there anymore. He’s probably scattered all around the forest in tiny little pieces!”

Last, but not least, the ISAFP.

I have this white rabbit story in my box and it’s making a round all over the globe by newsgroups. The white rabbit story was part of the Police SOP since when I was a young boy way back in the 60’s. Our Local police force applied the same technique and more often than not, they got the Grizzly Bear instead of the White Rabbit. Well, at least if it was a Polar Bear, they can say that it was just a white rabbit grown into such an enormous size.
About the definition of Terrorist; smart Mikey there just look at himself and ask-Who Is terrorizing the Pilipino People At this Moment of Time?? The answer Mikey is right under your Nose.

  2. Ellen,

My apologies but I am very, very angry over the guy who styles himself Justice secretayr but who in reality is a jerk.

I just read a complete annery by Gonzalez published in the Inquirer: “Gonzalez: Loss of lives unavoidable”
“Church activist shot dead in Oroquieta”

Gonzalez also said, “You can’t avoid collateral damage … Sometimes there are bombings and civilians might get hurt.”

What does he think he is saying? The country isn’t in a civil war that he should spew statements of the kind without blinking.

This goddamn sonovabitch of a Justice friggin Secretary should be the 1st collateral damage so he will realize what the friggin term means.

I will show him what collateral damage is if he has the f….ing balls to get on the plane and go to Iraq.

He is no military, he is no ROTC, I bet he never even saw a person get shot in the face and he speaks of collateral damage as if it is the most normal occurence in the world.

I really mean it, this Norberto siraulo Gonzalez should be drowned in his own vomit for even having the the gall to utter the collateral damage statement after Tito Marata, a provincial officer of Rural Missionaries of the Philippines and member of the Farmers for Agrarian Reform Movement, was shot in the head. What was that? That was collateral damage?

I’m telling you, I’m not for the death penalty but I’m prepared to pull the guillotine on the neck of this bastard.

Friggin ‘ell…I hope he becomes a “collateral damage” soon.

  3. pandawan pandawan

Hi Hillblogger. Keep cool. Inhale, exhale. Norberto Gonzales is not worth it.

Talking about white rabbits, the story could have ended with the five ISAFP Operatives taking hold of the wife and children of the white rabbit and asking him to come out because they got his family. Or else they could go into the forest and come out triumphantly with each of them showing white rabbit candies in their hands.

Do you know Ellen that I nearly fell from my seat when I saw the title of your column because I really thought I read “GERMS” instead of Gems. Sorry po, but if I can contribute germs to get rid of this administration I will gladly do so. This way there will be no violence. Gloria is not worth the blood of Filipinos in the streets of Metro Manila. Germs can destroy better than guns and armed rebellion.

  4. pandawan pandawan

By the way hillblogger, this is BFR.

    Tama, pareho pala sila.

I love the funny stuff, they are indeed gems.

  6. ystakei ystakei

    Anna:

You’re getting mixed up although you’re right to call these Gonzaleses as “Siraulo.”

Norberto Sinungaling Gonzales, the Bansot copycat, was the guy who pretended to faint while eating banana during some house scrutiny regarding the expensive publicity stunt for the Bansot in America that they cannot give the right salaries to Filipinos to prevent them from going to Iraq as mercenaries that I suspect the Midget’s Internet Brigade are trying to subvert as simply an anti-US sentiment by pretending to be ex-workers, etc. there on a pittance. Ganoong katindi!

Of course, they would know the score and reason why they can relate all those info that Ellen says she heard herself from people she has interviewed. They were actually the same stories of the Japayukis and the domestic helpers who ran for shelter to NGOs even in Japan. Still, I can see the source of those postings in another loop here to be the same as they have only one theme—Undermine any attempt to stop this mercenary recruitment with justifications even of the very policy that makes life difficult for every Filipino to wish he were dead!!!

The other Gonzales, who is the DOJ Secretary is the real Macoy, Raul a.k.a. SiRAULo!

As for the killing of the Oroquieta victim, how do Filipinos ask for justice for him when the police, the former Manila’s Finest, there is non-functional and the PNP is the one doing the investigation for the benefit of their patron saint, the Mafia Boss oversquatting at the palace by the murky river.

On the other hand, the family of the victim may try contacting Romy Capulong, and ask him to bring their complaint to the International Court of Justice where he served as judge. Iyong na lang siguro. Meanwhile, you, Emilio, et al may continue to express your anger in blogs like this for the world to know that there indeed are Filipinos angry at this regime no matter how much Bansot, et al try to squander funds borrowed from or granted by Japan, the US, etc. to deny it.

Now, we know how Rizal, et al felt when they were fighting the Spaniards, the Americans and the Japanese for Philippine freedom.

You bet, Filipinos fought hard like the Iraqis of today against the Americans, too, and Americans like Mark Twain lobbied hard against imperialistic activities of their government then and now!

I never actually knew about such movement in America until I got a chance to go to Europe, because you don’t usually get to see any anti-American material especially in the Philippines and America but underground.

Talk of US democracy, especially after WWII. It’s a jargon! I actually thought discrimination against the Negroes was normal and accepted norm in a democracy until I witnessed and became a victim of discrimination likewise against Japs, et al.

Funny how the Filipinos could love America more than the Philippines for that matter when Filipinos were in fact themselves victims of racial discrimination there even now.

I was treated better in UK, and with one of my forebears a native of England, I have better attachment with the Brits. Still I am against UK’s involvement in Iraq!

A friend actually sent me a movie that they were trying to finish and produce regarding Filipinos in America and efforts by Filipino immigrants like Bulosan to gain recognition for Filipinos that they were no tail-less monkies as they were regarded then enough to train and send them to battle in the Philippines against the Japanese in WWII.

I actually have such materials in my collection. They are better than the propaganda we were indocrinated with in schools in the Philippines. If you guys, need copies, I can burn you a CD or DVD. I bought VHS productions from groups in the US, UK, etc. featuring even Hollywood movie stars against US imperialism, which was in fact the theme of some indocrination I got as a UP student that I am now reproducing in DVDs and CDs. I have received permission to do so, you know.

    Anna, All:

I just read the article you mentioned in Inquirer Online.

Problem now is how do you charge these people in a court they themselves run for their own selfish purposes? Tignan mo na lang ang pagsabing this kind of crime is justified?!

Tangnang hayop iyan ano? Next time Gonzales pretends to be sick, matuluyan na sana!

Oops, time to go to work!

Mabuhay kayo!

  9. I seldom agree with Amando Doronila. But this time, I think he got it right. (After losing his ambassadorship, he is now criticizing Arroyo. Buti nga.) he said GMA’s hard line policy against reds will crush her.

She is really disassembling. Isn’t she?

  10. Pandawan, you are right. Gloria is not worth our blood. Anyway, looks like she is accelerating her destruction.

Nice, hehehehehehehehehehehe…………..really funny, nyahahahahahahahahahahaha, actually its a fact, whether it s the PNP of AFP, oh yeah its a fact, they will do everything for the queen of the enchanted kingdom, hehehehehe

ANyhow, why is the government giving 1B to the military and the PNP to rid off the so called “insurgent”???? who are these insurgent/s???? why the heck give 1b to the miltiary instead of creating more clasrooms for our students, why not give protion of it to social services, why not give protion of the funds to the improvement of our health system, etc., etc…… Is the leprechaun a “WAR FREAK”???? instead of eliminating these insurgents (thru military operations) why not eliminate the insurgents thru, education, creating more clasrooms, social services, health, infrastructure, etc., etc… instead of liquidating them, tsk, tsk, tsk, twas the “leprechaun”, once her pot of gold is at risk of being taken, will do everything to eliminate the enemy.

ANyhow, if gonzales (raul????) is “hinimatay” (am i correct???) dapat sa kanya mag artista na, both raul and bert are the same, one, all of a sudden na high blood, the other naman, hinimatay, tsk, tsk, tsk…..parang lokohan na ito e!!!!, it only means, he is not right for the job, why dont he just resign and wait for his calling, hehehehehehehe……., instead of dramatizing that he lost consciousness, hehehehehe best actor pala sya e.

I’m having lunch now in front of my computer, and though of browsing through the news at the Malaya and Tribune Online.

Tribune’s headline about Gonzales’ report on some bombing scare that everybody knows, especially the Senators at the Senate, to be a hoax concocted by Mike Defensor, et al, now being blamed on the Magdalo mutineers now in jail!

Baka pagbalik niya dito sa Pilipinas ay sabihin niyang ” The Pope told me to declare martial rule!”

Why don’t you get the Vatican address through Google?

  18. Good, so when I see Doronila I won’t heckle him….

Re: “You bet, Filipinos fought hard like the Iraqis of today against the Americans, ”

I don’t know if the Filipinos in general fought the Americans as hard as the Iraqis who have been doing 3 years of non-stop fighting and virtually door to door (of course the Iraqis are also fighting among themselves and killing each other – very tribalistic) but I know that there were many Pinoys – Gregorio del Pilar and his army, Muslims in the South for instance – who did. What I do know is that Americans committed massacres after massacres in the Philippines yet the Filipinos embraced them.

Also, the difference is that there is a huge risk that Iraq and other neighbouring middle eastern countries there will NOT accept the American atrocities lying down (unlike in the Philippines then) – I’m pretty sure this war of attrition in Iraq has the opposite effect, it will give birth to more hatred and terrorist cells against the US and by extension, against the West.

  19. I know it’s you BFR… Heheh! I’m cool.

I am anti death penalty but sometimes you can’t help being prepared to pull the guillotine on the neck of siRAULo Gonzalez and his twin Norberto Pangit Gonzales. Rest assured, I will try to remain cool, with a steady hand too when the day of reckoning comes so the Guillotine doesn’t get stuck.

  20. ystakei ystakei

    Anna:

I just wonder if they were the ones who raised the white flag up sabay alis ng tapis!!! Yuck!!!

This reminds me of the story of the geisha girl who was ordered to go to Towsend Harris at the end of Japan’s isolation the mid-19th century to spy on him she considered a barbarian. Tumalon siya sa dagat after her mission was accomplished kasi diring-diri siya sa kano. Tapos ngayon, when they retell her story with a play, they make sure the actress who does her part makes some ritual to ward off the curse connected with this woman. Otherwise, the actress ends up being pushed to the sea by some unseen power!

I wonder if there is no such character that will haunt the evil woman at the palace by the murky river.

  21. Gloria? Someone to haunt her? I doubt it… she scares them with her buck teeth… What we must do is to convince Gloria to play a role in Macbeth, then we repeat Macbeth everytime she is around coz it’s supposed to be bad luck! heheh!

  22. ystakei ystakei

Di ba siya ang Mother of Lies and Deceit?

  23. God, imiss this site. I’ve been trying to access it since last night.

  24. heheheh!

“Father of Lies and Deceit!” Si Satanas! Di ba siya ang Mother of Lies and Deceit?”

  25. Anna,

Siya din yung nasa “Mother of All Tapes”. Bert Conzales also stated tonight that Poverty and injustice should not be used as a reason for the CPP-NPA to wage a revolution. Tanga talaga itong matandang ito. Its the root of all these revolts even during the Spanish era.

  26. Funny, isn’t it, Schumey?

Gloria is mother here and mother there…

She also declared that she’s married to the nation. What is galling is that her “husband”, the nation still believes her lies.

I mean, at one point, a husband who continues to believe in his wife whom he pertinently knows lies all the time – has caught her lying all the time deserves what happens to him – being cuckolded!

  27. ystakei ystakei

Just as when the Philippine police gave up seeking for evidences to solve a murder of a Japanese tourist to the Philippines last year with the court ordering the case to be closed, the Japanese police asked for permission to solve the case themselves in February this year to prove what they already suspected to be what actually happened to the Japanese victim, that he was a victim of some murder for insurance scam involving the owner of the company the victim was employed in with the connivance of an ex-Japayuki who was supposed to be the fiancee of the victim.

The case happened in August, but even after six months the Philippine police were unable to solve the case. The Japanese police together with the Japanese Embassy in Manila went to the scene of the crime and the Japanese police amazingly were able to gather enough evidences to prove culpability of the victim’s boss by using Japanese method of investigation and forensic plus dedication and will to solve the case in less than 3 weeks as it is the standard in Japan. The Philippine police only took them to the place but were not asked to help.

Now, I wonder if it would be wise to suggest to Senator Biazon or Senator Pimentel to ask the cooperation of the Japanese police to find out who are planting those bombs that are announced by nutty Gonzales before they can be found and explode!!! In other words, sa kawalanghiyaan, nagiging bobo tuloy!

Meanwhile, up to when will Filipinos tolerate this kind of evil and madness? Sobra naman ang pasensiya nila!

  28. Yuko,

Hope is all we have now. But I still believe that things will come into place in its proper time. Just like the volcanoes rumblings waiting to erupt, in due time, yes, in due time. All these will soon come to an end for everyday that the midget stays in office, the more she exposes what she really is.

  29. ystakei ystakei

Sana nga Schumey, sana nga! Sa totoo lang, I’m looking forward to the day when I can be proud of the Philippines again as the land of my birth, hindi bansang pinanggalingan ng mga Japayuki!!!

Tapos ang sabi ni Bansot doon sa Gov. ng Leyte, “Yes, I know, I was told of the fault there.”

Patayin silang lahat!”

Madre de Cacao! Kung sino-sino ang pinagbibintangan!

GMA does not need the Pope

Majority of the people now know that GMA is not a
leader. It is no longer an opinion. It has become a
fact. She is no more than a compulsive dreamer, who
enjoys wielding usurped power to please herself rather
than do her job as a public servant. How can she be a
servant in the first place, when she was born rich. No
wonder she blows her top when things go wrong for her.
The leadership example she is showing is pure
arrogance. She is a first class Prima Donna.

She claims she is working hard and long hours. Doing
what? How many advisers and secretaries she has, to do
her biddings? Not to mention the number of
transactional legislators at her beck and call. Most
of them working not entirely out of their own true
calling and conviction, but primarily to please her,
so they can continue to benefit from the power she
possess. Self-respect is no longer a virtue to these
so called professionals. Although highly educated,
they chose to kiss ass to keep their wealth growing
in this benighted country. If they can do it , why
can’t others do it too. It has now become a way of
life for many ordinary citizens. How can anyone expect
the people to help fight against corruption when their
own survival may depend on it.

The road going to the “Enchanted Kingdom” is craggy
and have many obstacles. GMA will lead the people to
get there in wooden clogs and feed them with
“statistics” on the way. What a dreamer. She must be
thinking of a western saying, which goes, “If you can
imagine it, you can do it. If you can dream it, you
can become it”. I subscribe to it too. It’s
inspirational. Unfortunately, it only works for
people who have talents which GMA has lacking.

In one hand, as a person, I pity GMA. She is losing a
lot of opportunities to make herself worthy of her
temporary existence in this world. I think she needs psychological
help if she has to be responsible for more than 80
million people. That’s what she needs. She does not
    need the Pope.

Amen. Exactly my views. The Bansot needs some examining of the head! It’s called “illusion of grandeur.”

  32. Greg Greg

I will create 10 million jobs a year. Ganuon pa man nasaan ang 10 million jobs?

I will eradicate Jueteng in one year.

I will take you to an Enchanted Land in twenty years. Oops! At may balak pang maging presidente after 2010. Ano kaya ang sasakyan natin papunta duon. Kariton?

There is no shortage in classrooms. Pinagalitan pa na parang bata ang Cabinet member niya, only to find the poor cabinet member was right in the afternoon of the same day.

At ito ang pinaka-malaking suntok sa buwan. Lilipulin kong lahat ang NPA in two years. Oh my God! These people who have No Permanent Address have been in existense for more than 35 years.

Anong say mo Ellen.
