AFP Chief of staff Hermogenes Esperon was asked by Philipppine Daily Inquirer about the unsigned recommendation of the Perreras panel dismissing the charge of mutiny against the 38 officers and recommended court martial only for Conduct Unbecoming of an Officer and Gentleman. His reply: “Whatever it is, it’s still my decision.”
Asked if the JAGO had recommended the dismissal of mutiny charges, Esperon said: “I will not confirm that.”
Sources said the original Oct. 25 findings of the panel headed by Col. Al Perreras was changed upon orders of Esperon.
Sources said the Esperon , upon seeing the original recommendations, expressed his displeasure and “suggested” that the panel take another look at the evidence.
Brig. Gen. Renato Miranda, the epitome of a military commander, welcomed the court martial proceedings, but said his subordinates should have been cleared.
“I was always telling them that the responsibility is mine because I was then commandant and I was hoping that I should be the only one charged and let my staff officers be freed,” he said.
Miranda further said, “If they feel that there is something illegal to what I did and on what I decided then, it was my decision and I can defend myself for that. I am convinced that they did not commit anything wrong. Staff officers, we encourage them to talk, to give options but at the end of the day, the commander decides. If they feel that I made an illegal decision, then I should be the only one be charged.”
Hearing Miranda take the responsibilty, Col. Ariel Querubin said, “That’s the essence of commandership.”
Miranda also denied reports that he was in connivance with former Sen. Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan in plotting to overthrow the Arroyo government.
“I don’t know their meaning of connivance but I haven’t seen Sen. Honasan for the last 15 years… Maybe in the defense of our case, this time we will connive,” he said.
The government is working on the eight officers dropped from the court martial proceedings to witness against fellow oficers. The eight include lieutenant colonels Reynaldo Ocsan and Martin Villasan of the Philippine Marine Corps, Maj. Oriel Pancog, Capt. George Malones and 1st lieutenants Antonio Timbal, Gerald Reyes, Mario Bautista and Michael Quartero, all from the Philippine Army.
I don’t mind being arrested with my suggestion here: Let’s not wait till GMA is ousted to punish this Esperon. If there’s any hit squad whether it is from the Left or Right, I hope they now eliminate this bastard before he does more harm to the people. People like this AH has no right to live a day longer!

Ellen’s blog has the same problems because of the Internet Brigaders and other Malacanang sipsips monitoring this blog, but at least we know where we stand, and we’re here to stay no matter what to share and help rekindle that spirit of valor, courage and bravery to fight an oppressive regime, especially one that is bogus and should be toppled down by all means possible even by a coup that never was, except the attempt of some angry young men in the military who did not want to be used for cheating by the liars and the cheats in 2003.

Charge these officers with rebellion, and they won’t even get a single centavo of the pension they have paid this lousy government that I agree needs to be changed but not with the same people like the bogus president, JdV, et al running it.
Esperon is actually keeping up with the bogus president to change the AFP even with new recruits that I’m told they are getting from the barangays, especially from Pampanga maybe and why the mayors and barangay captains are pledging full support to their fellow dugong aso in Malacanang, thus, the court martialling of the officers they are slapping with rebellion even when it is not true, and just because they would not cooperate with the Malacanang squatter!
We may well remember that in February, Querubin was there complaining and shouting about the soldiers being made to lie, cheat, and worst, shoot their fellow Filipinos in peaceful rallies, etc., and similar plots of detonating sophisticated bombs to kill innocent people and blame the NPAs, Abus, and other tulisans for it.
If that is not terrorism, what is? What they have in the Philippines is in fact a reign of terror, with the bogus president being the terrorist herself. She should be kicked out!

I can’t understand why this ASSperon can overrule the findings of JAGO, the panel who is in charge of finding if there is sufficient evidence to warrant the filing of cases against those offricers. Norpil, I don’t think it’s a wise idea to sell the Generals’ bodies to the hospitals. They’re so rotten that the hospitals might refuse to accept them even for free. I was thinking of those Generals who served under the Shah of Iran. After the Shah was ousted, his Generals were hanged and displayed in the streets for all people to see.
