Hindi pa kaya nasabi sa kanya ng kanyang spiritual adviser na ang isang kasalanan ay maaring mabura lamang kung ito ay iyong i-kumpisal at pagsisihan?
Alam natin kung ano ang ugat ng demoralisasyon ng mga sundalo. Iyon ay ang paggamit sa kanila sa mga bagay na salungat sa kanilang panata bilang sundalo katulad na pagdaraya sa eleksyon at pangungurakot ng kaban ng pamahalaan.
Si Esperon ay isa sa mga opisyal sa military na nabahiran ng “Hello Garci” scandal dahil nabanggit ang pangalan niya sa pag-uusap ni Comelec Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano at Gloria Arroyo tungkol sa pandaraya na kanilang ginawa noong 2004 elections.
Ang nangyari noong Pebrero 2006 ay isang paraan ng mga sundalo para ipahiwatig sa taumbayan at pamahalaan na kung sila ay magbu-buwis ng kanilang buhay, dapat naman ay para sa makabuluhang rason at hindi para protektahan ang interes ng isang mandaraya, sinungaling at magnanakaw na naka-upo sa Malacañang.
Dahil doon, 38 na opisyal ang nakakulong at nakaharap sa kasong rebellion, mutiny at iba pang akusasyon.
Pina-imbistiga ni Esperon ang nangyari noong Pebrero sa opisina ng Judge Advocate General. Ang panel na pinangungunahan ni Col. Al Perreras ay nagsumite ng resulta ng kanilang imbestigasyon noong Oct. 25 (Preliminary Trial Investigation o PTI) at ang kanilang rekomendasyon ay idismis ang kasong “mutiny” laban sa mga opisyal dahil walang legal na basehan ito. Hindi gusto ni Esperon ang rekomendasyon ni Perreras dahil gusto talaga niya ipitin ang mga opisyal na pinangungunahan ng kanyang kaklase sa Philippine Military Academy na si Maj. Gen. Renato Miranda.
Pina-review niya kay Col Pedro Davila (Pre-Trial Advice o PTA), ang kanyang staff judge advocate. Ang balita namin, sinupurtahan ni Davila ang rekomendasyon nina Perreras. Siyempre lalong nainis si Esperon.
Ang aming balita ay si Col. Nemesio Dabal, ang Judge Advocate General ang pumirma ng report na hindi alam ng publiko kung ano ang laman.
Hindi nilalabas ng military ang PTI at PTA. Ngunit nakakuha kami ng kopya ng PTI at klaro doon na nire-rekomedang idismis ang kasong mutiny laban sa mga opisyal.
Ngunit ni-rekomenda na kasuhan sila ng mas mababang kasalanan:Conduct Unbecoming of an Officer and a Gentleman.
Bakit magkaiba ang rekomendasyon at order ni Esperon? Ang sagot niya, “Karapatan ko yun.” Paano ang karapatan ng mga akusadong opisyal?

I remember transcribing Querubin’s words in the February commotion about the marines, et al being ordered to act as provocateurs in rallies against the Bansot that they defied because that would lead to a carnage, and that was the reason he gave to Biazon who came to the camp then.
I told myself while translating the interview with him that he did not want to shed innocent blood even for the sake of his president that it was what they should be doing as a matter of fact. At least, he was still willing to acknowledge the Bansot as his president that I would not do if I were a Philippine soldier especially when I know my basic rights as a citizen of the Philippines. Hindi naman kailangang sundin ang isang pekeng presidente.
In fact, they have the right to demand the removal of this liar and a cheat. Ang problema kasi mukhang marami ang mga duwag at ayaw magutom!!! At least, it is how the military is doing in Japan. I firmly believe that military intervention supported by majority of the Filipino people to end the oppressive Arroyo-Esperon led civilian-military junta is the only possible option left. In the Inquirer, Esperon Esperon also took exception to opposition Senator Aquilino Pimentel Jr.’s criticism about his disregard of JAGO’s findings.

I think nobody buys General Esperon’s line of reasoning. He has no credibility left. He is a disgrace to the AFP. The JAGO unsigned report is the actual findings the events in Feb. 25 alleged coup.
Uniffors’ commentary just made clear that Esperon considers himself as a demi-god, who can overrule the people around them. But like any fake god, he will be broken into pieces and trampled upon by the Filipino people.
I hope things will get clear soon before the GCM starts. The whole PTI process was so draining emotionally, physically, economically and psychologically and it was only disregarded by Esperon. The GCM is as pre-determined as that with the PTI since Esperon wants to see all these soldiers behind bars. The GCM will just be a mockery of the military justice system. Let there be another body to intervene in this matter soon or else things will go out of bound again.
Assperon is so proud in his role during the last election so as to gain the monicker evil-queen-maker to the glue.

Then, they think that with these “rebels” out, the AFP is now free of dissidents with the low-ranked officers amply warned that any effort to remove the Bansot is useless so they may just as well dance with them and be merry.

Frankly, I find the Philippine judicial system kind of a hodge-podge of confusion. I don’t understand why a case they have not even made full investigation of and tried in lower courts have to be sent to the Supreme Court for supposedly a final decision, but look at how they can still think of shuffling the final decision of the supposedly absolute deciding body back to the same fools who have sent such petition at that of the legion of Satans on the ChaCha.
Rather confusing, don’t you think? But what can we expect? It’s a petition coming from a group of Satanic followers. We must well remember that Satan has been defined in the Scriptures as the father of lies and deceit, and the Supreme Commander of confusion, chaos and destruction.
Worse is when the Philippine Supreme Court is dominated by men who have been appointed there to serve the person or persons who have appointed them. No wonder that justice is not served right over there. Puro arte lang! Puro papel lang! No substance at all!
I should add that over here, and even in the US and other more progressive societies, the Supreme Court is in fact the place of last resort, and cases are decided in the lower courts first, and sent to the Supreme Court only when the defendant or accused find the judgments there inappropriate, and not justified. Kaya nga sa tagalog, ang translation ay “huling dulugan.”

The most patent example of unfairness in these proceedings is the fact that General Hermogenes Experon is directly involved in the events of February 24. By his own admission, he is a witness. Even if he no longer testifies before a court martial, his personal involvement renders him interested in the case. Thus, he cannot and should not be the convening or reviewing authority.
The curious case of Major Oriel Pangcog (former Opns Chief)serves to exacerbate the unfairness of the treatment of these soldier-heroes. Major Pangcog was one of those recommended for prosecution for attempted mutiny and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman and General Esperon unilaterally reversed these findings. His reason? “Because I can.” -(Sundalo Tagapagtanggol ng Pilipino)
Esperon listens and believes the gossips and fantasies of his intelligence officers (Col Lucero, Col Ano, Col Segovia, Col Pangilinan who are all equally corrupt like him) than the legal advice of AFP JAGO.
As a vote-rigger, and one who has tried to ingratiate himself with the squatters at the palace by the murky river, Esperon may be there, but not to participate in fact with the disgruntled officers but to spy on them. Of course, he would not dare tell that to the people present there then especially when they were apparently refusing to be part and parcel of a deception about some bomb to be exploded on the path of some peaceful rally and blamed on the “commies.” He was probably also playing safe to pretend he was with them just in case they succeed in toppling the administration of the bogus president.

I’ve thought of Esperon being a great pretender, where the wind blows kind of person this Esperon really is. But the money and power were too much to be ignored, and the wind blows often to the Pidals direction. Pero iyang “play safe” is never a good game especially when the country and people’s lives are on stake. At one point each one of us has to commit, to take a stand and fight for what we believe in. Iyan na nga ang ginawa ni Esperon, mabuti na iyan at nakilala siya ng lahat. Now, we know that he’s an enemy of the people.
I always remember a spiritual person saying ” there are so many traditions or religions in the world, but it is always safe for a soul to have a faith in one that will fulfill the longings of his/her consciousness. Otherwise, he/she will be lost forever.”
And daming lost souls na sa mga lider-lider kuno ng Pilipinas. They’re already become bamboos dancing with the winds. At least ang bamboo ay mayroon pang matibay na roots, iyon lang manipis na puno at mga dahon nito ang sumasayaw.
