It’s NOT TRUE that Alan Peter Cayetano is withdrawing from the senatorial race.
The fake report about him withdrawing from the race is part of the dirty tricks of those who are afraid of Alan becoming senator.
This is a text message from Alan:

I talked with Alan and he said, it’s preposterous that he is withdrawing because he is afraid he would be cheated. “If cheating is the problem, the more I’m determined to win this senatorial race so I can work to eliminate this menace in our electoral system.”
All along, I didn’t believe that Alan Cayetano will back off from the senatorial race. If he has shown such grit in the Bastusang Pambansa at the two impeachment against GMA, the battle against conass and filing a case Mike Arroyo, I think he will not run away from this fight when he is perceived to win.

I posted on the previous thread a response to another entry about Cayetano’s allegedly backing off the seanatorial race, that it’s just a dirty trick played by the goons of Mr & Mrs. Pidal, but it disappeared. I don’t know why, but I think there’s nothing personal about it.

Its funny, that col prestoza of the PSG is asking/appealing to the public to just respect theoffice of gloria if not the person. Can anyone pls tell col prestoza, if his boss, in the first place respected the people, the respect that he is appealing will just be given to the person, not anyone can appeal to repect the office of the person is holding or the person occupying for that matter. Self respect is not given to anyone, it is earned, the col cannot blame the people who dont respect gloria. Pls ask the col if his boss has respected the peoples will??? pls ask the col if the minions of gloria has respected the people. In 2006, did gloria respected the people when she imposed PP1017, AO 464 and others presidential directives???, did gloria respected the people who wants to know what happened in the garci conversation???, did gloria respected the senate as an institution???? a lot more if to write if we are to cite numerous request by the people for respect.
PLs tell that col, that you cannot earn the respect that he wants for his boss by appealing, RESPECT IS EARNED, and not by appelling.

The public should be very wary about all the propaganda and dirty campaign tactics that are coming out of the Administration and all paid campaign machineries and be skeptical of the negative campaign tricks.
Unless the words is officially announced by the Party or the Candidate or its campaign people, all messages of withdrawals or campaign promises and program should not be taken seriously until confirmed as official.
And the Comelec, whose job is to make the Election Campaign and the Conduct of Election as Transparent and Honest as the law mandated should investigate all the dirty, misleading press releases and get to the source and punish those responsible. If the Comelec allows these kind of Dirty and unlawful, illegal campaigning, then the election itself will be another exercise in futility. And it could be worse than the last one…

I will vote for Alan Cayetano. Judging from recent events, the young Congressman has the moral courage and the intelligence to fight for what is right.
His youth, his education, his courage against all odds will make him a formidable Senator.
Young Cayetano represents the new breed of politicians that this country needs.
I do hope he will stay true to the image and character that he’s displayed these last few months and above all, that he will retain the MORAL COURAGE to fight for what is right.

We really hope that the news going around that Cayetano has withdrawn from the senatorial bid is not true. Kung galing mismo sa bunganga niya, di paniwalaan. I just don’t understand why pro-opposition paper like Abante would publish such a false and unverified report. O baka naman may mga writers doon na pakawala ng Malacanang. But it’s the job of the editor, right? And Macasaet has always been with the opposition.

It is no wonder now that he is the target of some smear campaign similar to that launched by the Malacanang Bogey against Lacson before except even when he was not in fact the real threat to the bogus president, but somebody else.
Kaya kung ako ang supporter ni Alan, I will do my best to protect him. At least, we know for a fact that the guy has guts and integrity. Hindi uurong, and stick to his words.
Cayetano may be young but he has the maturity to stand up for what he believes in. This matters. I hope that he continues to have a conviction. As politicians stay longer in their positions, they tend to be malleable and go to the party that gives them the most perks. We need more young blood to represent the younger generation. This is not the time to quit running. Go, Cayetano GO!

I have read on the blog of http://www.gov.ph. The administration candidates and their supporters should better stop about their speculations. They are also pinning Alan down..Sa mga intreviews, they always assert that that they will take the majority of the seats …they said that the administration would take 8 of the 12 senate seats? hindi kaya babaliktad? I hope hindi ako “magdilang anghel”.
The Filipino people are fortunate that brave leaders like Alan, Chiz and etc stand with us side by side,,,,at all cost….They are the new breed of leaders…We need people like them…a perfect combination of a Rizal-like mind, a Bonifacio spirit and a humble personality like Apolinario.
