Black List, White List

The Black and White Movement has classified 100 congressional candidates into a Black and White as a guide to voters in next month’s election.

The message is, don’t vote for those in the Black List and campaign and vote for those in the White List. Example:

For the first district of Camarines Sur, blacklisted is Dato Macapagal Arroyo of Kampi.

Opposite, in the White List is Sabas Mabulo of the Liberal Party, Drilon wing.

Romano said the classification was based on consultations with their local chapters, affiliates, and allies.

The B&W Movement decided to focus on the congressional level because they believe that is the primary battleground to correct the anomaly that is the Arroyo presidency. Also, while the whole Team Unity ticket is blacklisted, they did not have a consensus on who of the 11 Genuine Opposition and Kapatiran candidates to endorse.

Romano said the root of the twin issues of corruption and extra-judicial killings that have become pervasive under the Arroyo administration is the illegitimacy of the Arroyo presidency. It all goes back to the original sin of her cheating in the 2004 election. It all goes back to Hello Garci.

As long as Arroyo remains in power, Romano said, the situation will “get to be more oppressive and punitive.”

As to the reasoning of fence sitters and Arroyo supporters that impeachment is disruptive; therefore GMA be allowed to finish her illegal term, the B&W Movement argues that impeachment is not disruptive when done properly.

It is a valid mechanism to exact accountability from an incumbent president. It provides opportunity to ferret out the truth and for both sides to present its arguments and evidences. If found guilty, there is a provision for the smooth turnover of office. If found innocent after all arguments are heard and all evidences are presented, the president will have cleared her name with a sense of finality. Either way, it brings closure to a long-standing issue.

The B&W Movement also said “there are indications that GMA intends to stay beyond 2010. There are also pronouncements that if GMA will have enough numbers in the next Congress, they will work for a change in form of government by October 2007. This will allow her to continue as head of state way beyond 2010, either as president or prime minister.”

Romano said there’s only one thing that will deter Arroyo and her minions’ nefarious plan: public indignation.

This was demonstrated when she decided to back off from the JDV-railroaded Con-Ass when the Catholic Church planned to assemble half a million people at the Rizal Park in a protest rally. When less than that number turned out, she revived the Cha-Cha. Lack of time saved the country from an Arroyo presidency for life.

Romano said, “The May elections offer an excellent opportunity for people to express their indignation through their vote.”

And that is by making GMA lackeys lose in the elections by actively campaigning against them and by voting enough men and women of courage into Congress to exact accountability from Gloria Arroyo through impeachment.

By coming out with the Black and White List, the B&W Movement, Romano said, is providing “an organized way of harnessing the people’s indignation votes.”

More examples of the Black List, White List:

White List : Malou Acosta of Liberal Party, Drilon wing.

Black List: Virgilio Garcillano.

Hello !?!?!!?

    Another White/Black List

    White List: Benjamin Lim
Bakit dapat iboto: Being Mayor of Dagupan City, he’s outstanding and well loved by his constituents for bringing progress in the city.

    Black List: Joe de Venecia
Bakit hindi dapat iboto: In cahoots with Gloria Arroyo in continuously raping the constitution by pushing the con-ass. He’s reportedly in vote buying spree to retain his congressional seat.

Why we need to reject Garci Datu and the rest of political allies of Arroyo? They are all cheaters and thieves. The political situation in our country is inseparable from it’s economic problems, since they are the one that define the present situation. They are the crafted technicians of Gloria, for her to stay in infinite power.

Garci’s phonepal who is to blame for such a depressed situation, mostly Filipinos are facing everyday. Datu, can not just run in any district he want to be a congressman, insulto iyan sa mga tiga doon.

We must be prepared to make hard choices in the political arena if we want to achieve our goal to derail the “Cha-Cha” train. At present, our country’s political stability is at stake To change the situation around we must take immediate measures to stop them, before the situation literally gets out of hand. These most obvious and necessary measures: Vote Mabulo for congressman, stop Garci, Palparan, Lumibao and the rest of Gloria’s allies. Vote Trillanes,Lacson and the rest of GO, and we must muster more than 100 opposition congressman. Without embracing altogether this vital strategies effectively, the “Cha-cha”train can not be stop, and the midget be sitting comfortably in her Enchanted Kingdom. ——- We ordinary citizen of the Philippines will be an slave for them forever.———

Bakit hindi dapat iboto? Delikado baka maging Speaker of the House.

Tapos!

    For Congressman sa Makati City:

    White List: Abigail Binay

    Black List: Erwin Genuino

The incumbents that are running for re-election in municipal level and the neophyte candidates are not adopting the TU line-up, they rather be an independent or be under the opposition. Ano ang ibig sabihin niyan? Ala,Eh!

    Blacklist : Manny Pacquiao

    Manong Cocoy, thanks!

I gathered some more Congressional candidates, the first name is in the White List (Dapat iboto) vs. the Black Listed name (Huwag na huwag iboto, pls):

Cagayan deOro City: Tony Soriano vs. Michelle Tagarda-Spiers
Camarines Norte: Liwayway Vinzons Chato vs Renato Unico
Camarines Sur: Cholo Roco vs. Luis Villafuerte
Iloilo City: Benjie Gingos vs. Raul Gonzales Jr.
Negros Occidental: Apolinario Lozada vs. “Iggy” Arroyo
Pampanga: Joey Montemayor vs. “Mikey” Arroyo
Quezon City: Danton Remoto vs. Matias Defensor

  10. Thanks Ellen – very useful.

Meanwhile, I’ll be casting my ballot for the GO team but will probably delete one of the names in the list, that of Mr Cuneta’s.

Party list: I am torn between Gabriela and Sulong Baranggay.

    Must check their platform.

I am absolutely not familiar to most of the party lists save for two or three (on top of Gabriela and Sulong Baranggay) – I do believe that some of those party lists are only nuissance candidates like Manny Pacquiao and Chavit Singson along with Garci (can’t imagine how a notorious election thief and COMELEC gangster, could even get his name on a ballot – absolutely incredible…)

    See you folks.

    *****
The reason Ellen is because Mrs. Pidal knows that her son cannot win even in Pampanga. I know a lot many kapampangans who do not like her at all, not even her father.

  12. Anna,
Cuneta is no longer with GO. He said so himself from the beginning. It’s just GO 11+0! I can’t vote but I surely am planning to help keep election in Japan clean. We’re joining the Kontradaya group.

  13. Bob,

  14. Hmmmm, the passage below seems to describe the core fundamental objective of this so-called “black & white” movement:

    .
The B&W Movement decided to focus on the congressional level because they believe that is the primary battleground to correct the anomaly that is the Arroyo presidency.

    .
    In fact this person “helga” said in a comment dated 18 April 2007 that;

No, we don’t think that – it would be a no brainer list, really. Everyone from Team Arroyo would be on the Black List. No fun in that.

All of the above seem to contradict what this B&W group claim to be the myth that “Opposition are obstructionists. They have no real agenda except to remove GMA.”

While they gloss over the perception that the Opposition have some semblance of a unified platform by saying ambigiously that “Many in the opposition have clear advocacies and agenda for good governance”, this does not necessarily mean that the Opposition is united in the real sense.

The only thing that unites the “Opposition” is an objective to remove the incumbent.

Of course most people with unsophisticated evaluation faculties will not see the circularity of the argument. That is why mediocre ideas proliferate Pinoy society. Because it is easy to run logical circles around vacuous minds.

    .
    – 😀

  15. So the only real objective of today’s “Opposition” campaign is no different from any other “opposition” campaign in the past. “Unity” in the “Opposition” is based and has ever only been based on a common objective of removing an incumbent.

History shows that once this objective (removal of an incumbent) is achieved, the lofty ideals of these “united oppositions” (past and present) vaporise as well. Each moron politician that was originally part of the preceding “united opposition” then goes his/her own way to found his or her own splinter “party” and pursue their own respective personal agendas.

    Same ol’ same ol.

    .
    Pathetic to say the least.

    .
    – 😀

  16. cocoy cocoy

Arroyo was dishonest with the Filipino people, the scandalous phone conversation with Garci proved the logic point that she cheated to win. She intentionally mislead the public citizen over her used of excessive powers over an executive orders that granted to her, she had relatively use these power to silence all her critics. These issues are certainly not the only issues against our people that Gloria has not been fully honest and most other important issues have been spun by her without little regard of being fully truthful. The list of the charges attributed to her by the opposition are considered abundantly sufficient to file another impeachment complaint.

Yes,BenignO, I agree with you, when you stated that,—-the only thing that unites the “Opposition” is an objective to remove the incumbent.—-If not THEM! Who will BenignO? Who can stop them with their kleptomaniac behavior? They are the malignant cancers that our people suffering tremendous pain.

Or, maybe Benigno, you have some good things to say about the present administration of Gloria because you are here in defending her.—Well, we are ready to listen, if you have something, we are tried with your hook and sinkers! I do hope you have a bait this time.

  17. sleeplessinmontreal sleeplessinmontreal

    Mang Benigno

The objective of the Black and White Movement is clear, removal of Gloria Arroyo. I hope you are aware that they are NOT campaigning side by side with the with the opposition. In fact, they are non-committal on the senatorial candidates.

Removing the incumbent in an electoral process is what the opposition is doing now. Not the way Gloria Arroyo came into power, first by inching her way through the backdoor by conniving with the military as she openly admitted in order to oust the incumbent president Joseph Estrada and second, the cheating in the 2004 elections. As obviously enamored with Arroyo’s administration, you may deny that these happened. Or even the voice in Hello Garci is not Gloria Arroyo although she said I’m Sorry!

Now, whether you like it or not, Arroyo’s legitimacy is the elections issue. While the presidency is not at stake in this elections, the exercise is meant to be a referendum on her legitimacy. And yes, you can include your idol Gloria Arroyo in your “moron politician” because she too, form her own Kampi to pursue her own agenda.

  18. cocoy cocoy

    Sleepless;
We both have the same analogy .Let’s ask BenignO,—If no one impeach the president, what can be done to restore the trust of our people on her, and not keep it on further deterioration? As the cheater, chief executive she can continue execute any incompetence executive orders until she destroy the moral of our people that sparks a revolution. She has much power to do harm, her entire vision has been about diversion tactics, incarcerating political opponent and brandishing them communist and even a terrorist with smears, and most important her refusal to be held accountable for her illegal acts. Gloria will be not up for re-election, so,there will be no political accountability on her part, but, the worst thing what she’s is up to, after 2010?

Subject: Numerous BOGUS PARTY LIST in ’07 Election

There are now numerous list of BOGUS PARTY LIST coming from different organizations a good sign that people are actively exposing questionable party list. We have Akbayan coming out with the first 11 party lists which they say are fronts for the Lady cheating errr seating by the murky Pasig river, 41 from Urban Poor for Legal Reforms (UP-LR) and Bantay R.A. 7941 and now we have B&W MOVEMENT and Kontra Daya with their own black list of 12 & 22.
I am not complaining here I believe this is a good sign that vigilance is slowly creeping into the consciousness of our people and not only mouthing it but actually taking action in exposing these unscrupulous characters who shamelessly and desperately sneaking like dirty rats scumbag to forage the wealth of the people they call PORK BARREL.

The bastardization of the party list system should not be taken lightly and we have one of the most respected former Senate President Jovito salonga clamoring for the release of the names of nominees for party list. We also have other politicians joining in but sadly their motivations for doing so are questionable at best because of election season empty hollow posturing.

Thanks to Schumey and Yuko Takei who called my attention on the Parents Enabling Parents (PEP) that was included in the combined list of UP-LR and Bantay R.A. 7941 as reported by newspapers, victims of educational plan company knuckleheads maybe victimized again by this bastardization of the party list system through the incompetence of Comelec and those fixers as reported in the you tube video Party List for Sale.

  20. The truth is the Great Pimp could have been disqualified if the agencies that send criminals to jails are not headed by the Great Pimp’s political appointees. The Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines says so.

  21. The objective of the Black and White Movement is clear, removal of Gloria Arroyo. I hope you are aware that they are NOT campaigning side by side with the with the opposition.

    .
You yourself said that “whether you like it or not, Arroyo’s legitimacy is the elections issue” which therefore implies that a “united opposition” is all about removing an incumbent.

As such, this “helga” dude of the B&W Movement said:

Everyone from Team Arroyo would be on the Black List

    .
So if they are not “campaigning side by side” with the “united” opposition, they just happen to be advocating an objective that is directly aligned with the objectives of this so-called “united” opposition.

So they are supposedly non-partisan, YET the whole basis of their presumption to “black list” certain candidates is that they are from “Team Arroyo”. That doesn’t sound non-partisan to me.

    Tsk tsk.

Seems like this whole debate revolves around nothing more than semantics (something that lawyers and spindoctors particularly enjoy, and that vacuous minds are particularly vulnerable to).

There’s no debate here. Si Gloria ang Isyu. The decision will be made soon.

It is extremely difficult for a highly distrusted Chief Executive to continue clutching onto her throne, knowing that she and her government do not have the trust of the Filipino people.

Nothing that she says, along with her adminstration bets, will be believed. Nothing that she promises will be bought by the people. She can continue to weave fairy tales, but the Filipinos have wisened up. They no longer believe in her, and her candidates’ fairy tales.

It’s my take and I believe the electorate will decide accordingly.

Benigno, if you only know how to read from the lines and in between the lines, everyone in this blog wants to boot out Tiyanak and her minions! That is the first strategy. Start fresh. Maybe we will have some trapos along the way ( our culture breeds this kind of a behavior), but if we have more counter checkers, these incumbent trapos will easily be deterred. A lot of personal sacrifice will be needed from top to bottom. Put more crooks in jail (not the other way around like Arroyo’s style- the straight guys are in jail and the corrupt of all corrupt are running the top offices of the country)! What do you expect? Follow the leader!

What is wrong with an interactive blog? Do you think that your website is more effective? What use would it be if readers are not even visiting it? At least in this blog, Ellen averages 10000 hits a day! Do you have these hits in your website Benigno? I attempted to go into your website months ago and I fell asleep reading your views. .
Popularity has never been a good indicator of the validity of ideas.

Moronic shows like Wowowee appeal to the majority because it is “exciting” and “interesting”. By the same token, “boring” shows like some educational features, etc. appeal to a very small minority (so much so that they need to be state-subsidised to survive).

So if you are bored by my website and more stimulated by sites that offer hollow-headed gossip, that’s your prerogative.

  41. And here is something I said previously that Ellen apparently deleted (so much for openness and resilience to the Truth):

Blogs like the PCIJ Blog back in 2005 enjoyed triple to double digit comment traffic much the same way this blog enjoys such popularity today.

Today the PCIJ (which published stuff not too different from what is published in this one today) languishes with single-digit comment traffic.

Pana-panahon lang yan. GetRealPhilippines.COM on the other hand is 7 years old, going strong and timelessly relevant.

timelessly irrelevant maybe. i think the proper word is Notoriety and not Popularity when it comes to moronic shows like wowowee…and only a moron will ever think of such comparison between this blog and that show which is only existing bec of ton of advertisement and wishful hopes that will only be as good as the people who know how to use the moolah that literally just fell on their laps without hardwork …this is exactly what is happening with this administration – bahaw na pangako!

Kawawang Ninoy …..

  47. Etnad, as I’ve said in the article, B&W is concentrating on the congressional level. Besides the whole TUTA ticket is on the black list.

  48. and only a moron will ever think of such comparison between this blog and that show

    .
Kaw nagsabi niyan ha. I never compared this blog to a show like Wowowee.

The point I was making was more to highlight the fallacy that most schmoes fall for — that popular ideas are necessarily right.

Of course points like this usually get lost in a sea of blinkered minds.

BenignO is not worth a dime, He is one of the extraordinary VERY MINUSCULE people that the evolution of mankind ever produce of being a master on the subject in ridiculing people. I visited his website, t here’s no good lesson to learn except being a jerk to myself. He is a provocationist whether there is something uniquely wrong with us, he is a bit unwise. He is just waiting for us to jerk our string and he is there to react with his defiant argumentative nonsense. He is boring and wonder how could anyone like us, as lowly as he is. He is a non-utilitarian and interfere with our pursuit to the right path of reasoning.—-sometimes, The best policy to this kind of person is to ignore him.—The rule of the thumb: if two or more people are acting provocatively it is better to separate them by pulling ourselves out of the fracas.–

A fish is caught by its mouth! So finally Benigno, you are saying that your not so popular elite website has to be State subsidized to survive! It does not take one with superior IQ to read your site. Even my 1st grader superior IQed nephew may go into your site anytime and read the relevant issues , if any.

How can you put down Wowowee just like that! It is a grassroots show. Not that I watch it but the show probably enjoys high ratings to the general viewers.

You do not seem to understand that what most Filipinos need is a leader that has the values( that does not just cater to the elite), morals worth emulating and a vision to not just make the elite companies thrive but to make sure that the poorest of the poor are given the opportunity to live decently, not from dole out money but from their sweat. They need jobs! They need clean water. They need decent home and a sense of community. We would not be in Asia. We always blamed Marcos for looting our treasury but instead of correcting the situation, we followed his ways! Worst now, we even have corrupt people in all walks of life and in all branches of the government. Because, the Filipinos have the most corrupt leader the Philippines had ever had. How can she police her staff when she and her family and her blessed few are blatantly corrupting all institutions?

Lastly, if you are saying that your website is more superior to this site, why even bother to come in here? Tsupi!!! But on the second thought, it is always nice to have you here as a yardstick of what the Tiyanak is…afterall, you belong to her “Enchanted Kingdom” where everything is just a dream and an illusion… nothing else.

  54. E-mail from Tinnah de la Rosa:

I am not a Bicolano nor a voter of District 1 Camarines Sur but if I could vote for one person, I would vote for Mayor Sabas “Abang” Mabulo who is running for the congressional seat of Camarines Sur District 1 against the Presidential son, Dato Arroyo, who is not a Bicolano and has no public service experience. This is borne out of my experience of Abang Mabulo – a person who leads me to believe that hope still exists in our country.

I was introduced to Kuya Abang while I was in college during a gathering of the Christian Life Community (CLC). Nine years ago I managed a video production about CLC members who were good role models. One of them was Kuya Abang who was our model for honest public service. As I uploaded his video online recently, I was very touched to see that the man I knew in the video back then is still very much the same man whom I know now.

He is still a man of competence. As I interacted with him in the CLC, I realized that he is a competent leader in the NGO he managed, a skill that was confirmed later on when he became “One of the Ten Most Outstanding Mayors in the Philippines in 2002”.

Last year when I visited his town in San Fernando, we traveled on the road that he started to build in 1998 and it was a phenomenal experience. This is the man who was able to link the farms in the mountainous area of San Fernando to the market places in the lowlands through a participative approach. He had very meager financial resources for this road. But he got the Bicolanos in the nearby communities to help build the road. Not only was he able to build a road, he also employed his fellow Bicolanos. Now that is ingenious!

He is very much still a man of character. Truly a man of faith, I witnessed him discern with us in the community whether or not it was the greater good to offer himself as an option in this election. He is a man of integrity and courage even when all indicators point to hopelessness. He is a three-time recipient of the “Parangal sa Marangal” by the Krusadang Bayan Laban sa Jueteng. Kuya Abang is someone I admire and hope to someday be like as a person of commitment.

Many people say that his fight is not practical at all. After all, he is fighting the President’s son who has the political machinery and the financial and human resources to boot while he has a measly P200,000 for his campaign fund. But in the midst of its seeming impracticality is a fight for values and virtues that he believes in – values and virtues that we as responsible Filipinos and committed persons try to live each day.

All of us are constantly invited to discern the greater good. From where I stand it is certainly Abang Mabulo, our alternative to the politics of patronage. For more information about Abang Mabulo, please check out the Christian Life Community’s webpage for Abang at http://www.abang4congress.bravehost.com/.

  55. BTW, Ellen, Filipinos in Tokyo are being invited to a reception at the Imperial Hotel on May 24 to be tendered by the Philippine Embassy for Mrs. Pidal, some kind of victory affair I guess, and gratitude to those helping her government cheat in the election in Japan.

The Imperial Hotel, BTW, is a very expensive hotel, and a piece of cake (a small cut to be exact) there for instance costs 12 dollars.

Golly, who’s paying for such expensive reception? Our suspicion is she and the husband will be coming to finalize the deal for disposal of the ambassador’s residence and other Philippine properties in Japan that not even Marcos set his eyes on to make money with!!!

As you know, Japan again is being used as an experimental case for the massive election cheating with ballots being made at Comelec and sent to the Philippine Embassy to be counted on May 14th, and why we are urging the Kontra Daya group of ex-Sen. Guingona, et al to ask for a special order to stop counting ballots coming from the Comelec and those voters listed in the Comelec list who have been confirmed no longer living in Japan or has never even stepped foot in Japan.

A friend at the Asahi Shimbun has been bugging me in fact for information on this deal(s) that the Japanese media has smelled something fishy. How come walang naaamoy ang media diyan when the transactions are being cooked up there. One of the Romulos in fact are into this deal, I am told.

    Ma’m Ellen

I forwarded Tinnah dela Rosa’s email to a friend in Naga City which is near San Fernando, Camarines Sur with the request to disemminate the same to as many friends he knows in the congressional district. It it could be published in the local papers there, it may reach more people to be able to convince them that their man is Abang Mabulo and not Dato Arroyo who is not from the place.

Btw, I’m afraid Mang Benigno will again post to say that the email of Tinnah dela Rosa on Mayor Sabas Mabulo is another “hollow-headed gossip” being offered in the blog.

  62. parasabayan parasabayan

Benigno, in the Philippines where more than 60% of the Filipinos are surviving on less than a hand to mouth existence, where most of these people probably do not even know how to use a computer to read the current events of the country, the mandate of a strong moral leader is very important. Do not use the yardstick of the first world countries where the leaders are honestly picked by their constituents. The leaders in return have to conform with the norms of their constituents. It is a mutual respect. In tiyanak’s kingdom, money flows come election time-mostly illegally obtained. Votes are bought. The comelec is bought. There really isn’t a real voted official. Even more so now in Tiyanak’s kingdom. Her generals are in cahoots with the comelec’s rigging of the elections.

I really mean it when I said I want you Benigno around, that is if Ellen and her bloggers will allow you to be around.

One more thing, I promise that when the tiyanak is finally out of power, I will read everything in your website and if I like your theories, I can even be your advocate!

By the way, stop calling me “dude”, because I am not one! Maybe I am as old as any of your parents. The word “dude” is used by punks which according to Webster means young, irresponsible, insignificant and presumptous. So, if you are indeed an elite, highly educated and cultured, you watch your language! What you spew says a lot of who you really are!

Hindi lang 3, baka 9 pang representatives courtesy of Norberto Gonzales. Bakit kamo?

What I understand about the partylist system, each partylist are required to submit 3 nominees and based on the number of votes garnered by a party and its equivalent percentage on total votes cast, a partylist can have a maximum of 3 Congressmen. If all three of partylist groups fielded by Norberto Gonzales is true and thru election’s dirty machinations, and it is not farfetched for Gonzales to have 9 Congressmen in the Batasan. Mantak mo yon? How about the other parties allegedly put up by the administration? Talagang they are making mockery of the system which is now a clear case of election piggery (baboyan).

In Philippine’s showbiz world, “promise ha?” is mostly uttered by bading, bakla, sioke, binabae, badaf. But I’m not alluding to the one who wrote it here. Showbiz linggo kasi yon. For some relief, kunyari andyan si Dolphy in his patented role of a swashbucling bakla and ask you Manong Cocoy and Mrivera with a naughty smile: Promise ha?

Remember iyong Tower of Babel?

Onli in the Pilipins.

At last you got it BenignO! the political leaders we have are serving the elite trapos, the small 20% percentage of the population who run our ‘decrepit institutions’.
This administartion certainly does not serve the majority of the people in this country and has failed to do so since 2001 so no good you claming that these 80% ‘merely reflect the society and people they serve’ because they only reflect the elite, so you can stick that ‘copy & paste’ statement back in the garbage can where it belongs or think of another way of insulting the Filipino.
