At last, the tiyanak gave up on trying to cheat Trillianes out of the magic 12! His proclamation is tantamount to our victory in guarding our votes! Even if the elections were not 100% clean, it is a sigh of relief to hear that finally, the tiyanak conceded that they can not take for granted the voice of over 11 million voters who want Trillianes to serve them in the senate! Congratulations Senator Trillianes! We are confident that you will put into heart our aspirations to be FREE, PROSPEROUS and PROUD AGAIN one day!

PNP reinforces security for Panlilio amid threat

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — A bomb threat on the campaign headquarters of Fr. Eddie Panlilio, the newly elected governor of Pampanga, prompted police to reinforce security protection measures for the priest as he presented the members of his transition team on Wednesday.

Two bomb experts and two bomb-sniffing dogs combed the headquarters for explosives on Tuesday but found none.

At least 50 policemen secured the headquarters and a nearby restaurant where Panlilio held a press conference, according to Senior Supt. Audie Atienza, city police chief.

  13. Ellen,

My heartfelt congratulations to you first and foremost for your unflinching courage, your public support for Trillanes.

He deserves his seat in the Senate – the people have spoken, honestly and courageously. The Senate is perhaps his rightful place to do battle with this bogus government.

My heartfelt congratulations to him and my best wishes for his upcoming war.

I read that he likes to read biographies – I will be more than happy to send him the biography of one of the best Prime Ministers that Britain ever had, soldier-general-turned politician and Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington.

    from anna’s piece on tribune:

“………There are an estimated 20,000 illegal Filipinos in France (perhaps more), who are availing of the social services of the French state, of French taxpayers’ money for the education, the well-being of their families there, all for free, and who are absolutely treated with great tolerance in spite of their having no legal papers to speak of; that in spite of the crackdown on overstaying or illegal aliens on French soil, the Filipinos have been spared, all undoubtedly because the French government realizes that if these people are sent back home, they stand no chance of upliftment in their own country…….”

this is enough. this is too much. everything must come to its end and gloria makagarapal arroyo’s insensitiveness should be buried along with her in a shallow grave where dogs shall feast over her dead body. or much better after her much awaited death, leave her corpse in the garbage where she really fits and belongs.

As reported Inquirer.net, below are cuts of Esperon’s reaction to Senator Trillanes victory:

“It’s not really the most welcome thing for me,” Esperon told reporters in a chance interview in Malacañang. “But to be frank about it, I have nothing to do with this (his?) election.”

He said he deliberately kept from discussing Trillanes before his victory was announced to avoid being accused of trying to block the former officer from winning a Senate seat.

Esperon made light of the possibility Trillanes might use his position to make life hard for the military brass, liked blocking their budget, saying, “That’s the job of a senator. That’s perfectly alright with us,” he said.

“But why should we look at him as a problem? He is the one with the problem because he has a case,” Eserpon said.

He added that Trillanes’ victory actually reinforced the government argument that the constitutional, not the extra-constitutional, route to change is always better.

  19. Just came back from a translation job for the court and the bar association here. I interpreted for some 15 Filipinos brought her 4 months ago to work in bars and clubs in Japan despite the ban on these pseudo-entertainers. I was so upset about the blatant disregard for the law by Filipino recruiters with Japanese yakuza connections. The bars the girls worked in actually have mama-sans who are Filipino women married to Japanese.

It was a good thing I took in my medicine for my HBP before going to that job that lasted 6 to 7 hours.

This news about Senator Trillanes’ proclamation is sure a respite. Thank God! And thank you, Ellen, for keeping us posted on developments back home. Yup, it’s still home after all even when the present government of lawbreakers has been unkind to people like me. I thank God, too, in fact that I am safe here, unlike the more than 800 now lying 6 feet underground asking for justice for their deaths.

Mabuhay Senator Trillanes! Will send a note directly to the beautiful people who worked for his victory!!! Believe ako sa discipline, competence, ability, efficiency, and most of all honesty coupled with dedication to the cause. Love you guys!

  20. Si Koko na lang, but I have no doubt he will pass the test. Pwe! Hoy, Su-Viri-Me-Gal, CONCEDE!!! Nakakahiya ka!

  21. …”for some 15 Filipinos brought HERE 4 months ago to work in bars and clubs in Japan despite the ban on these pseudo-entertainers…” Ang kulit talaga ng mga bugaw especially that Egcel guy who is always here begging the Japanese government to grant the Philippines another special quota for these women they want to traffic to Japan. RETORTs to Esperon’s comments on Trillanes victory

“It’s not really the most welcome thing for me,” Esperon told reporters in a chance interview in Malacañang. “But to be frank about it, I have nothing to do with this (his?) election.”
Retort: Comment seemed personal, unofficial. Can be misunderstood as from a bad sport, as almost anti-people, so Unlike Defensor’s. Doesn’t LOUDLY welcome the decision or Verdict of the people on an imprisoned public officer. Haters of Esperon will say, that’s conduct unbecoming of a Chief of Staff.

He said he deliberately kept from discussing Trillanes before his victory was announced to avoid being accused of trying to block the former officer from winning a Senate seat.
RETORT: Empty, nothing in that statement. Trillanes and the people owe him nothing for not speaking out. PNP and AFP personnel are prohibited from engaging in politics except to vote during elections. Esperon doesn’t seemed to know that, truly unbecoming of an AFP officer.

  23. jay cynikho jay cynikho

RETORTs to Esperon’s comments on Trillanes victory

But Esperon said the results of the local absentee vote, which had Trillanes at 10th spot, disproved accusations they manipulated the vote.
RETORT: Wait, wait a minute! It’s the opposite, it’s the reverse of what bloggers think. Trillanes was No. 10 because Esperon failed miserably to manipulate the local absentee vote (absentees despite threats warned they will vote for GOs,) The truth perhaps: Trillanes won despite (or inspite of) Esperon.

“the military has admitted conducting a survey among soldiers to gauge their sentiments on a Trillanes victory and whether they would consider it a protest vote against the civil and military leadership.
RETORT: There you go! It’s not propaganda, but a real survey with a likely sinister objective, more potent than propaganda.

  24. jay cynikho jay cynikho

RETORTs to Esperon’s comments on Trillanes victory

Esperon made light of the possibility Trillanes might use his position to make life hard for the military brass, liked blocking their budget, saying, “That’s the job of a senator. That’s perfectly alright with us,” he said.
RETORT: That’s what Esperon said. Let us see what he will do. Are you all right, sir?

“But why should we look at him as a problem? He is the one with the problem because he has a case,” Eserpon (sic) said.
RETORT: Let’s put the horse where it can pull the Kalesa. Pray tell us why Trillanes has a case. If he is (was) not a problem then he can be like Palparan who the AFP doesn’t look at as a problem.

He added that Trillanes’ victory actually reinforced the government argument that the constitutional, not the extra-constitutional, route to change is always better.
RETORT: Amen to that Mr. Chief of Staff. Hope you do that too.

I am so happy for ‘Sen-Sonny’!

    Yahoooo!

Kudos to Ms. Ellen too, who, we all know made every effort to write about ‘Sen Sonny’ and give him the media mileage he lacked so much during the campaign period…..
and most of the volunteers [unnamed, pero kilala na natin sila] for a job well done. Kudos to all!

Prayers are in order para maipakita nawa ni ‘Sen Sonny’ kung paano ang tunay na paraan kung paano maging isang tunay na PATRIOT sa Bansang Sinilangan.

    Hurrah! for GO Senators!

Si Koko na lang ang hihintayin natin.

MABUHAY KA Senator Sonny Trillanes! Mabuhay ang Pinoy! Mabuhay ka Ellen! Mabuhay ang Ellenville! At higit sa lahat…MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS! Three loud cheers for us all!

With Trillanes around to make our voices heard, isang bagong umaga para sa ating mahal na Pilipinas!

But I won’t go there if Koko is not proclaimed likewise.

Let him be reminded thus of this: “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground…” (Genesis 4:10). Remember, So-Very-Me-Gal, ang Diyos ay di natutulog, and “Crime does not pay!”

    VIGILANCE is the key.

Much as I want to see the Pidals be inmates there, I don’t see any reason why one in maximum security should be included in this decongestion of Muntinlupa. Bakit? Malaki pa ang inabuloy ni Jaloslos sa eleksyon this year and 2004?

Trillanes victory ‘not welcome’ to AFP chief

    By Maila Ager
    INQUIRER.net
Last updated 04:49pm (Mla time) 06/14/2007

MANILA, Philippines — Armed Forces of the Philippines chief of staff General Hermogenes Esperon admitted Thursday that the victory of opposition senatorial candidate Antonio Trillanes was not the “most welcome thing” for him.

However, he made light of the possibility the former Navy officer — who is detained while being tried before civil and military courts for his role in a 2003 military mutiny — might pose difficulties for the military, he said it was Trillanes who had a problem because of his cases.

    http://www.newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingnews/nation/view_article.php?article_id=71311

  45. Congratulations to Senator Sonny Trillanes on your confirmation and not forgetting to give Ellen a big thank you for allowing us to keep each other up-to-date by the use of Ellens Ville, we all appreciate your patients with us.

“…I’m now in a comfort zone where I can enjoy the stupid investigation being conducted by military authorities into the unexpected strong finish by Trillanes at the polls. These morons don’t really get it, do they? They refuse to see that the people elected Trillanes because they don’t like Gloria. They refuse to see that his election is an acquittal by the sovereign people of all pending political charges against him. They refuse to see the violent revolt that awaits them, should they persist in keeping Sen. Antonio Trillanes in detention.” Ronald Roy, http://www.tribune.net.ph

Congratulations to Senator-elect Trillanes. I’m truly amazed at the extent of his support given his lack of resources and mobility. I see his victory as an indicator that the sentiments voiced here in ‘Ellenville’ reflects the views of the Filipino people.

  58. Iyong Assperon, halatang sourgraping ang walanghiya. Malapit na siya. Ang sarap masipa ang mga iyan at malagay sa kulungan where he and the Pidals belong.

Remember Alam Natin!!! PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA! Sarap ang labanan sa Senado nito. Dapat ipasok na si Koko din. Alalahanin ni Abaloslos na bar topnotcher iyan at first class lawyer!!!

    Chi,

Yes ma’am. Senator Trillanes is proof that God ain’t floating on a cloud catching some Z’s but is still very much in control of our affairs.

Enough is enough, God must have said. Gloria and her ilk have inflicted enough harm on His beloved Filipinos. She has cheated enough, pillaged enough, lied enough, killed enough.

And now He has called forth Antonio Trillanes IV, Allan Peter Cayetano, Koko Pimentel, and the other true patriots to put a stop to the depravities of this government.

And as yuko has emphatically said, “sino nagsabing wala nang pag-asa ang Pilipinas?”

Aba meron — hayun at ipoproklama na mamaya!

  63. skip skip

    Sampot,

Salamat. I have fought a little uphill battle of my own. It’s been terribly challenging for me to disabuse my friends, family and business associates of the dangerous notion that Gloria, warts and all, is still the best person to lead the country.

In the online forum of my college fraternity, for instance, I stuck out like a sore thumb for my zealous endorsement of Trillanes and Cayetano and for my searing comments against Gloria. They could not understand why a dyed-in-the-wool centrist like me has been spewing vitriol against the government. On my part, I could not understand why otherwise intelligent people like them could not
grasp that the issue was not Gloria’s purported competence but her legitimacy, or lack thereof.

I thought my efforts went for naught. But I was wrong. It came a pleasant shock to me that except for a handful of die-hard Gloria fans, a surprising number of my family, friends, business associates, and frat buddies actually ended up voting for our candidates.

There is hope for the country, after all.

Sen. Trillanes’ winning and his proclamation are indeed miracles. I will offer my thanks at mass tomorrow. The Philippines “tomorrow” is just a day away. And the sun will shine BRIGHT for us. PTL and TYL!

    Sampot,

Oh yeah, your birthday wish just came true! Happy, happy birtday for you now that our Trillanes is officially a senator.

  66. chi chi

    Sus…nagpapanik sa kaligayahan. Ulit.

Sampot, happy, happy, happiest birthday to you now that your wish has just been granted… Trillanes is officially a senator!

  67. chi chi

    BOB,

As I said in a previous thread, Assperon must now address Trillanes “Your Honor” because he is a mere General whose appointment was forced on us, while Trillanes is a Senator of the land voted by more than 11 million pinoys!

Masabi kaya ng isang mama (that we all know is not a gentleman kahit tinatawag siya na Una kuno (lst) ang salitang…oh- vic-toh-ri ‘how sweet thy taste?”

I made sure I never forgot him at the polls (he was near the top of my ballot)….

Now, the TU-TA’s thrashing is almost complete…almost.

  70. rose rose

Pahabol: Noong nanalo si Money Pack-yaw sa Las VegasI am sure nasabi niya yon- Hindi ba nanalo siya sa pustahan and he was vic-toh-rius? Kayo naman iba na ang nasaisip ninyo…

  71. chi chi

    Rose,

You made me laugh. LOL! vic-toh-ri, vic-toh-rious!

Where is that IpDye? I don’t believe a moment that he has nothing to do with the dayaan in Mindanao.

Amidst all these cheering ang celebrating, let us not forget to thank first the Good Lord for making it happen.

Let’s thank Ellen, for her unrelenting and untiring crusade for truth and justice despite the hazards to her health and safety.

Ditto our countrymen, who proved our earlier fears were unfounded and did even further by making sure they voted right and that their votes were counted.

And for you and me, who have cultivated cataracts by keeping glued to Ellen’s blog for long periods, reading every post, long and short, laughing at our silly jokes, ganging up on perceived brigaders, sharing links and bible verses, and, as one pundit would say, engage in scream therapy – all for this one big miracle we never thought we would ever achieve.

All that energy weren’t wasted after all. But if you still have some left, let’s keep doing it until Koko Pimentel is finally declared. He needs it now more than ever.

EVIL DID NOT TRIUMPH THIS TIME ‘CUZ GOOD MEN DID A DARNED LOT! Mabuhay si Trillanes! Mabuhay si Ellen! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

Mabuhay tayong mga cyber-dissidents sa Ellenville!

    Hear, hear, Tongue!

Heheh, just had an eye exam.

  74. TonGuE-tWisTeD TonGuE-tWisTeD

Ako rin, I’m getting my eyes checked by Dr. Arroyo (uhurm) at Rockwell this weekend. Namumuti na sa ilalim ng iris. Kung cataract, ipapa-Lasik ko na.

    Side effect ng blog addiction!

Me? I actually feel vindicated now for being ridiculed, laughed at, etc. in egroups where I fought hard for everyone to see the devil behind the mask of some holy-holy glory! I never supported this creep especially when I realized that she must be sick in the head to be telling people everywhere about her imaginary relationship with Bill Clinton or even the imperial couple of Japan just because her father was president when they visited the Philippines in the 60’s to win back Philippine friendship.

Never found myself doubting as I clung to my personal belief that “Good will always triumph over evil!” At sabi nga sa Bible, “Vengeance is mine” sabi nga ng Panginoon!

  76. Chi, Tongue T:

I developed cataract when I was 40. Nalaman when I had an eye exam during a visit to my optometrist in the US. Kasi doon, they won’t fit you for glasses without the check up from an optometrist. Nakita tuloy ang cataract ko. I had operations of my eyes on a 5 year interval.

It is why I wear colored glasses because my eyes have become sensitive to light. Ingat. Kasi delikado din iyan.

Gusto ko itong description na ito a. Very UPian!!! Hahahahaha! 😉

  78. Yuko,

I would say that half the number of my friends voted for Gloria’s slate (the half that didn’t speak to me about or against Gloria) but my whole family voted for GO.

Matter of fact, for the 2nd or 3rd time in her life, my Mom actually spoke to me at length about politics under Gloria, 1st one in 2004 when she said that she would vote for FPJ as a protest vote against Gloria (kumontik na akong himatayin when she said that) and persuading me to transfer my vote from Lacson to FPJ because she said Lacson had no chance of beating Gloria’s machinery at that time and second time this time dahil hayop daw iyang si Gloria kaya GO siya.

People with whom I’ve maintained friendship with and who don’t speak to me about or against Gloria, I’m pretty sure voted TU.

Will the adm. pay rent for the use of space? And when he attends sessions ihahatid ba siya ng Army truck with the entire company on guard? Good- may interested audience siya at cheerers sa gallery. They certainly would listen to the reforms he wants to suggest. Hindi na siya magsalita ng =Ladies and gentlemen lend me your ears because they will all listen.

  81. Rose: Ladies and gentlemen lend me your ears because they will all listen.

RE the unano. Wala iyang willing audience, only paid palakpak brigade. Hanggang Japan or even in the UN kasama prominent iyong Egcel Lagman. Tawag namin sa mamang iyan dito sa Japan, bugaw!

  82. Thanks to your Mom, Anna. Nanay ko wala nang pakialam. She’s just worried about me, pero sabi ko sa kaniya sa Japan walang Esperon o Palparan, not even an unano who can evade the law by just saying, “I’m swori, mga gago, lapse of judgment!” Yuck! Back to work, till next breaktime.

  83. Hey Yuko, what are you having for lunch? I just had some sushi delivered… yum yum! not as good as your sushis there but never mind!

  84. When you come to Tokyo, Anna, I’ll take you to the real macoy, Sushi shops at Tsukiji! I usually have sushi in the afternoon—no big meal after 8 pm though. My favorite is “toro” (the good and tasty meat of the tuna) and “engawa” (a kind of shell, but I don’t know if it’s the same as the French “escargot”). Yummy talaga!

  85. TonGuE-tWisTeD TonGuE-tWisTeD

    Anna, Yuko,
Sarap naman niyan! Ako, I roll my own Ebi or Kani Maki pero yung real sipit ng alimasag hindi yung artificial.

MEDIA AT MILITARY magiging co-equal sa 4th branch of government?
