Plastikan galore

Gloria Arroyo and Loren Legarda kiss in a meeting at at the 44th National Defense College of the Philippines Foundation and Alumni Homecoming Day.

Gloria told Loren: You are the “she” I referred to in my Sona who will succeed me.”

Pulse Asia survey: Loren top bet for 2010

Sen. Loren Legarda is the leading contender for the presidential election in 2010 according to survey done by Pulse Asia, ABS-CBN News reported Thursday.

The survey conducted from June 28-July 10, 2007, Legarda garnered 32 percent among the six contenders composed mostly of senators.

At second was Vice-President Noli de Castro with 21 percent, followed by Senators Panfilo Lacson (19 percent), Manuel Villar (10 percent) Manuel Roxas (8 percent) and Richard Gordon (3 percent).

Legarda said the ratings have shown how the public trusted her in terms of government service.

“I am humbled and honored by the continuing trust on me by an overwhelming majority of our people,” said Legarda.

Roxas, for his part, said he would not allow speculations about his presidential aspirations affect his performance as senator.

“Parang ang layo pa ng 2010. Maaring ganyan na iyan, maaring mag-iba ‘yan. Hindi natin masasabi kung ano pa ang darating. Ang alam ko gagawin ko ang ating trabaho (It seems that 2010 is still far away. The ratings can still change and we can’t say what will come our way. All I know is that I will do my job),” he said.

Sen. Francis Escudero, meanwhile, said that those planning to join the 2010 presidential race should focus on their performance rather than engage in politicking.

Escudero reminded his colleagues to set aside their their political ambitions and instead focus on their performance as senators.

Incidentally, Escudero, a neophyte senator, had admitted that like any other politician, he has ambitions of becoming president of the republic someday.

Didn’t I tell you about this Loren? Loren and Angara are two self-proclaimed opposition but are actually Malacanang’s moles. Don’t be surprised if Loren switched to administration. She would use the same reason like those who switched by saying she’s no longer comfortable with the opposition because of its being disorganized and too much politicking. Just wait for that development…and soon. Let me just give you another reason why…wherever Angara goes, Loren goes.

    goji,

I don’t believe Loren will turn away from her current colleagues but for sure, she is being played by Gloria. At mukha namang tickled to the bones baka nga naman maka-jackpot na maging presidenta!

  4. chi chi

Someone not Loren will become the next president, if there’ll be election in 2010 (mangarap na lang muna). Even if she got the highest number of votes, that won’t make her a would-be sure winner. Kaya huwag s’yang maki beso-beso kay Gloria. Kakakulo ng dugo!

Baka si Lacson pa if he can present himself well before the electorates within 3 years. Or baka meron na namang lumabas na sorpresa killing the presidential hopes of the plastics and oportunistas!

Reporters were not allowed in that gathering, but Arnold Clavio got a report from inside that Norberto Gonzales has declared in a speech that the biggest threat to national security at present is the Comelec!

Wow! Can you confirm that, Ellen?

  6. goji goji

I know something about Loren that I refrain from sharing it here or else would also be deleted by Ellen for my post about Tito Soto’s daughter. In politics, there are no permanent friends and enemies but only permanent interest. So, don’t ever assume that Loren will not turn away from her colleagues…as if past incidents involving other personalities are not enough to convince you. Just mark my word and wait for the next development.

Gloria is a goner but still infectious! Loren is well aware of the TUtas na pinulot sa kangkungan, and the fact that the electorates are now quite mature.

Can Sen. Loren Legarda sustain 2.5 years of demolition job? Sen. Panfilo Lacson was a victim of demolition job by Jose Pidal crime family. Early birds will expect slashing from all sides. Gloria Arroyo’s kiss is a curse of death.

  16. Goji, I want to make sure that post here are not libelous. That’s the reason for the deletion of some items here. I hope you understand.

  17. goji goji

I do, Ellen. Please keep on reminding and guiding me. But you see, Soto’s daughter is no longer a secret. It’s all over the movie industry. Even if I’m not a lawyer, I think I cannot be cited for libel since the story is taken from other printed media sources. Loren and Angara’s relationship is not a secret as well. I presume you know the story since you do have your own sources. The entire Senate and its staff know it.

  18. parasabayan parasabayan

Loren’s link to Angara has to have some weight! I agree that she has to project that she is in the opposition because if she changes her tune now, it will be the end of her political carreer.

After the tiyanak, the Filipinos may have a bad taste in their mouth for a next lady president. Maybe she can shoot for the vice presidency the next time around as long as she picks the right mate.

What Villar had done to Ping Lacson may have just boosted his chances to aim for the presidency. Maybe the next time around, Ping may have a better chance at the presidency than the flip flopper Villar! Kaya nga lang, maraming perang pangmumodmod si Villar so anyone who will run against him will have a tough time fund raising.

It is too early to tell who will be the aspirants for the 2010 elections but one thing is for certain, although Loren shows well in the polls, winning in the 2010 elctions will be a big hurdle for her after the negative ratings of the tiyanak! Loren can dream, can’t she?

No, thank you!” especially when the endorsement means she is inheriting the many “utangs” the creeps has added to the millions her father incurred during his own reign that Filipinos, as predicted by critics then, said they would never be able to pay. And do you think Legarda will be free of the dictates of the creep who has hinted that she, her husband, children, et al will always be there to mess up the affairs of the Philippines even when she is dead unless the Filipinos learn their lesson and bar her clans from trying to claim ownership of the Philippines.

  28. Well, Gloria must think she knows Loren Legarda very well. Trying hard ang ungas to flatter Loren to get her to go with Villar para mawala na ang Opposition. Ewww! Kakadiri!!!

JEDDAH, 11 August 2007 — A Philippine government agency in the forefront of the campaign against illegal job recruitment turned out to have helped a Saudi company skirt the labor laws of both Saudi Arabia and the Philippines by hiring Filipino workers using visit visas in the past two years.

Documents obtained by Arab News showed that the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) not only gave its go-signal to Sawary Marketing and Development Group’s hiring practice, but also has not done anything despite recommendations by the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Jeddah to stop the scheme.

    Trillanes for President in 2010!

…Sir, there’s age limit to running the presidency. I’m afraid Trillanes’ age is below the minimum in 2010.

  47. vic vic

goji, we believe that a person who can wear a uniform and fight and die for his country has also the right to lead the country. only can’t legally smoke until l9 years old.

  48. goji goji

Vic, I think to run for president the candidate must be at least 40 years old. Trillanes is now only 36. He would be 39 by 2010. Anyway, perhaps Ellen could clarify this age limit thing for us. No one argues with you that a person who wears uniform and fight for the country has the right to lead the country. As a senator, he’s already one of the leaders elected by the people. What we’re talking about here is presidency wherein there’s an age limit.

  49. vic vic

So far the youngest PM was Joe Clark 1979, 39 years old.

Regarding Loren, I think she will soon be openly supporting Gloria as being the number one this past election her ambition for Presidency would let her stop at nothing. That’s politics. It is up to the voters in the end…

  50. goji goji

Vic, the youngest PM Joe Clark was not from the Philippines. We’re talking about Philippine presidency here. Let’s not assert or insist on something that’s not in line with the law.
I made it clear that there’s an age limit for presidential candidate and that I think is 40. It’s for this same reason that Escudero is not qualified in 2010, I think. Nonetheless, let’s allow others to help us clarified this thing.

  51. rose rose

Mas matam-is ba ang bat wan o kalamansi.
BTW- ilang taon na ba si Adel?

  52. goji goji

Okay Vic, please read this Philippine Election Code Aticle IX:

Sec. 63. Qualifications for President and Vice-President of the Philippines. – No person may be elected President unless he is a natural-born citizen of the Philippines, a registered voter, able to read and write, at least forty years of age on the day of election, and a resident of the Philippines for at least ten years immediately preceding such election.

…So Vic, what I quoted was the election law in the Philippines and not in Canada. I was surprised that you used PM Joe Clark as an example to assert your position. You might have been lost somewhere now that summer is about to end. Getting chilly over there? Once again, the minimum age for a presidential candidate (in RP not Canada) is 40 (Forty). Trillanes, if he is only 36 now, would only be 39 in 2010 so ineligible. Unless you will change the election code yourself Vic, this issue is now closed.

  53. vic vic

now that we are clear of the minimum age the issue is also clear, no argument. when you said minimum age, nobody knows how old is Trillanes and how old he’ll be in 20l0. now that it is clarrified we are all in the same boat. have a nice weekend, it is still piping hot here but it ok most places have some kind of cooling system and just stay home and relax and enjoy the weekend and don’t stay up late, it’s almost midnight over there.

  54. goji goji

But my friend Vic, if you’re regularly and diligently following this blog, you would know that Trillanes just celebrated his birthday; hence, you would know how old he is.
You mentioned your PM Joe Clark who was 39 years old then; so you were telling me that 39 years old is okay to be a Philippine President. If you didn’t know, would it be better to ask first than to cite an example whose electoral and political system is different from the Philippines? But well, we have reached a conclusion and not to dwell on it anymore. Next time, make sure that you shoot your target. Thanks.

  55. Chabeli Chabeli

I am believer that a politician’s personal life has a bearing in his or in her political life. Loren has had 2 husbands already. Didn’t she &/or Tony Legarda convert to Muslim so that they could live as husband & wife (I stand to be corrected on this one, though) ? Nevermind if they felt they wanted to be Muslim because they believed in it, but not because of personal convenience.

Loren for President in 2010 ? I’m not for it.

    *****

You bet. Hindi mananalo, Chi! How4ever, the problem is that she and the husband have managed to put their deputies (friends, cronies and relatives) in all strategic positions in the government to insure that she is not removed. They have also made sure that those who are out to remove her are rendered inutile and incapable of doing anything/

Take the case of Lacson, who, lamentably, has the tendency to give up his fight in the middle of the fight, and look for another corner to try jabbing his enemy but no dice. Nakakadismaya sa totoo lang, especially when you think of why he is doing the things that he is said to do. May kasamang personal ambition.

Si Senator Trillanes lang talaga ang tunay. No one can say that he is doing his thing because he wants to be president because he knows he cannot be one in a long time yet. Bata pa siya, and that is good. He can have the time needed to be molded as some model president, who is more like a hero and not a criminal like the one the Philippines has now.

Unfortunately, he is rendered helpless nonetheless with a judge, who may think he is doing the Filipinos a service when he stops the good senator from performing his duties and responsibilities. The judge had in fact ignored, even insulted, the mandate of 11M Filipinos who want Trillanes to serve them and the rest of the Filipino people, including the under-aged Filipinos or those willing to sell their votes for money, for it is a disservice to the people of the Philippines not to have the criminals at the palace by the murky river removed. In fact, he should have ordered an investigation of the Malacanang occupants. As a judge, he has the right to do that. It is why the Justice department should have been independent of the executive branch of the government.

They should read the example in the Bible of marriages not sanctioned in heaven! Frankly, my barkada know why I do not like Legarda based on this morality issue. Napa-plastikan ako.

  59. goji goji

Legarda was Christian and then converted to Muslim but I don’t know now since she’s separated. She treats her religion like the way she treats politics. The media photographers and cameramen say Loren loves to be seen in the public. Whenever there’s picture taking like in the Senate, she has the habit of forcing herself to the middle…even if she’s not part of the group. That should give us an idea of what this woman is.
Imagine if she’s already the President. But she has the most loyal admirer in the person of Angara.

  60. AK-47,

I’m not interested in running for any political position because I do not want to be public property.

Over in Japan, I have been asked a lot of times to run for local position in our community because of my membership in some political party, but I have declined. Ayaw din ng Mister ko because he does not want the tranquility of our family disrupted by prying media. I turn down interviews as a matter of fact except when I have something I want the people to fight with me as when I granted an interview with GMA on Philippine properties in Japan and the Japayuki. Otherwise, bokya!

If you are running for a position in the Philippines, I can help you like what my Filipino staff did for Trillanes. I help for the sake of helping with no vested personal interest hindi gaya noong nakulong sa US for electioneering, etc. Tutulong ako para umunlad ang Pilipinas because I want to be proud of it, no less, no more!

  61. Oops, GMA7, I mean, not GMA as in Gloria Makapal Arrovo-dorobo! 😛

  62. Diego K. Guerrero Diego K. Guerrero

What constitute to be labeled as political prostitute? Loren Legarda shed crocodile tears during the aborted Erap impeachment trial. Later, she asked Erap’s forgiveness and given the vice-president slot in the FPJ ticket. Loren Sinta desperately needs Malacanang’s financial support in 2010 presidential election. Gloria Arroyo may support Loren instead of Manny Villar.

  63. goji goji

Diego, many don’t know that Loren is in deep financial trouble. She has huge debts. In 2004 election, she had to mortgage her ancestral home. The bank almost took it away from her had it not for one best friend, a fellow veteran senator, who came to her rescue. Yes, in 2010, money will again pour and those with money have a better chance of winning. Other than Estrada whose popularity more than makes up for the money, candidates as high as presidency should have adequate financial resources. And the one who has all these are the guys in Malacanang who control the government budget and people’s money.

  64. Diego K. Guerrero Diego K. Guerrero

Loren Sinta at least needs 5 billion pesos to run a nationwide campaign. Gloria Arroyo can ransack the treasury again to save her ass. She may feel safer under Loren’s presidency.

  65. goji goji

With no strong presidential candidate in the administration, Malacanang may be eyeing anyone from the moderate opposition.
Loren would no longer settle for Vice. She would try to get the highest post. But would Noli agree to being her vice? Noli, knowing his limitation and incompetence, may still agree to be the Vice. He can resume his behind the scene operations (business or otherwise) unhindered. He doesn’t need the highest post to get what he wants.

  66. Diego K. Guerrero Diego K. Guerrero

How about a political comeback of Danding Cojuangco? He is the founder of Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) and good graces of Malacañang‘s illegal occupant. Some NPC senators and congressmen won in the last midterm elections. The Big Boss has the money, big business connection and established political party at his disposal. Erap’s Partido ng Masang Pilipino coalesced under NPC won as Vice President in the 1992 election. Uncle Sam may prefer to support Danding Cojuangco candidacy for president instead of known political prostitutes.

  68. goji goji

Good point, Diego. We’ll never know maybe Danding might do a comeback. He not only has the money, he has the support of many sectors. He’s acceptable to many groups except perhaps Cory Aquino’s side. The two families have been at odds for a long time. Danding has very good management sense and he could apply it in governance.

Jojovelas, do you know why Gen. Razon mentioned Eldane’s name? The two are Mason brothers. Freemansonry is a very powerful and influential groups. Add to this is the fact that Razon has a cleaner record than any of the Generals we have today.

Unconfirmed reports said Pacquiao, who checked in for training in California on Aug. 7, had a quarrel with his long-time trainer Freddie Roach.

There was also no information on what could’ve caused the spat, but sources said Pacquiao had tried to take an advance from his purse.

The same sources said Pacquiao had requested for $1 million from promoter Bob Arum.

Sa akin lang, Loren made a mistake in her “plastikan beso-beso” with Gloria Eng-engkantada. And as for the next president…for me baka tumaob ang mga maiingay na presidentiables kapag tumakbo si Mayor Jojo Binay. He has a solid performance record, intelligence, politcal will and PR needed to run even the whole country.

  75. goji goji

But Luzviminda, Mayor Binay is also very short and dark. We don’t want to call another president a shortie. But seriously, Binay’s popularity is more within Metro Manila. To run for the highest office, one needs to be known and acceptable to other parts of the country. Other than Mayor, he has not run for a higher office like Congress and Senate. It would be better for him to join the Senate first before aiming for presidency.

    Goji;
Never underestimate the wisdom of any man or woman when it comes to politics.Political agendas are set by those who invest in politics, and lately money has simply crowded out ordinary voters. Voters will continue to be alienated from politics until some political leader or movement defies the conventional wisdom and offers real alternatives, big and costly social outlays are off the table, and that a politician who supported them would be committing political suicide.
Voters have given up on government because government has abandoned voters. public opinion is generally middle-of-the-road. Voters have become more ideologically cohesive. Voter now judge the candidate not on persona but on their agenda.

Good points you raised, Cocoy. But will it remain the same as you said? Political condition changes. Between two popular and qualified candidates, the one with financial resources has the advantage. It’s like saying a good tall basketball player is better than a small good player. The above personality (Binay) is well known in Metro Manila. I bet you many of those in remote areas in far away provinces do not know who this Binay is. If he wants to become President, he must now start going around the country and make himself visible. We don’t even know who are his opponents come 2010. There are much more winnable candidates in the opposition.

I’m not interested in running for any political position because I do not want to be public property.

reply : ystakei, you would’nt be a public property but a “public charity” for being such a generous. smile !!!

but i really admire your being compassionate, hope you continue your wholehearted advocacy to our poor brothers and sisters struggling for life and life after death under the culprit and evil president gloria.

    ystakei says :
“If you are running for a position in the Philippines, I can help you like what my Filipino staff did for Trillanes”.

reply : ystakei, thanks a lot. when time comes and am ready to enter the land of politics, i would come to you for a help. promise mo yan sa akin ha? smile !!!

    cocoy says:
“Voter now judge the candidate not on persona but on their agenda”.

reply: i don’t think so! because during election campaign, every candidate definitely lay their own agendas or platforms as good as they are to get people’s support and sympathy. but majority of voters don’t actually see and focus their attention on that agendas itself presented by each candidate but their personality.

agenda could be change but personality can’t, unless he/she would be victimized and influenced by gloria’s superpower vermon.

    Ystakei,
Not sure nga kung silang dalawa – si Loren at si Tony, or si Tony lang ba ang nag-convert. I agree with you regarding Loren na “Napa-plastikan ako.” Aside from that, arogante pa ang dating.

Getting millions of votes in the Senate does not necessarily mean na she will get the same number of votes as President – kung VP lang nga natalo na sya versus De Castro. It’s not wrong for Loren to dream to become President one day, pero I think hanggang doon lang sa Senado si Loren.

  82. Chabeli Chabeli

    Chi,
I agree with what you said that “..Pati faith/religion ay binabastos!” Loren is a younger version of a trapo.

Baka bukas makalawa, wala nang Mindanao as an island of the Philippine Republic.

This brings back what the Moslem supporters of Senator Pimentel I met in 2004 said, that if Senator Pimentel would not be president and the ugly duckling daughter of Dadong Macapagal would not be removed, they would continue and not stop struggling for independence, but the Philippines without Mindanao will surely spell disaster for the whole Philippines.

Kaya puede ba, patalsikin na, now na! Ang yabang-yabang, nakakasuka!

  84. chi chi

    Chabs,

Whenever I see Loren’s face, I see it as only a smooth skin, walang laman!

My Dad, who used to have a crush on her, now doesn’t like her anymore just because while Chiz and some GO were willing to wait for Trillanes’ win (para kasama nila sa proclamation), he saw Loren on TV saying that for her it’s OK kung mauna silang ma-proclaim sa top 8!

He said, “kaya pala iniwanan ni Loren si Da King (whatever that meant)”!

Si Loren daw ay maganda while Gloria is sooo pangit, but they are made of the same stuff, my Dad said.

  85. AK-47 AK-47

“agenda could be change but personality can’t, unless he/she would be victimized and influenced by gloria’s superpower vermon”.

wew ! sorry po, should read : gloria’s supernatural powerful venom.

  86. chi chi

Hahahah! When you mentioned Gloria’s name, kamuntik ka nang ma-venom din, AK-47!

“If you are running for a position in the Philippines, I can help you like what my Filipino staff did for Trillanes”.

…Is it true, ystakei? Can you really help anyone in the Philippines to win in an election? If true then, those politicians would have always visited you in Japan for help.
You said you helped Trillanes won, what about the others? I didn’t know you’re that powerful and influential politically in Japan. No one and no group ever accomplished the way you did. This coming 2010, I hope all the opposition candidates especially the two running for the two highest offices seek your help in Japan. Keep up the good work…

  88. Chabeli Chabeli

    Chi,

I agree with the comments of your Dad regarding Gloria & Loren, “they are made of the same stuff.”

Diba someone called Loren a political prostitute ? Gloria is just at the helm.

  89. goji goji

The never ending feud among the members of the opposition once more show that we need to go back to the time when there were only two parties. Before, either you were with one (Nacionalista) or the other (Liberal). Today, you can be with any party. That’s one reason why there’s no honest to goodness opposition party. Some are so smart as to call themselves “independent”.

  90. luzviminda luzviminda

    goji,

Don’t forget that Binay went around in diffrent parts of the the country during the May election campaign being one of the leaders of the GO ticket.

  91. goji goji

Luzviminda, may I know where you got your source that Mayor Binay went around the country during last election? Not really. First of all, Binay is the head of UNO, not GO. Tamano was the spokesman of GO while Jinggoy was the campaign manager replacing JV Ejercito who had to focus on his San Juan re-election. Binay was himself busy campaigning for his own re-election bid in Makati; so it was unlikely that he had all the time going around the country with GO candidates. Binay could have joined the group a few times but to say that he went around the country during election was not so accurate. This is not to say that Binay is not qualified to run as president in 2010. But to be honest with you, it won’t be as easy as some of you think. Other than mayor, he has not tried a higher office. Even the
very incompetent Noli de Castro first became Senator before trying the Vice-President. It’s better to be realistic and not base mainly on emotion.
