The court martial hearing of the 28 officers allegedly involved in the February 2006 attempted withdrawal of support from Gloria Arroyo scheduled for today was postponed. Lt. Col. Bartolome Bacarro, chief of the AFP public information office, said it was requested by lawyers of Brig. Gen. Danny Lim.
Vicente Verdadero, lawyer of Lim, said he never requested for a postponement.

A military court trying Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim and 27 other Army and Marines officers for the attempt to oust government in February last year reset to December 14 the trial scheduled for today because Lim would not be able to show up as he is still under police custody.
Another reason for the postponement was because Maj. Gen. Jogy Leo Fojas, court martial president, is on official mission in Malaysia with AFP chief Gen. Hermogenes Esperon, said Lt. Col. Bartolome Bacarro, chief of the AFP public information office.
Bacarro said security was not a factor in the postponement.
“It’s not related… there was request from the lawyers of General Lim for the postponement… and it’s incidental that the president of the court martial is out of the country.”
Lim’s lawyer, Vicente Verdadero, said: “I’m the only lawyer of General Lim and I did not move for the postponement of the hearing.”
Lim, detained since last year in Camp Capinpin in Tanay, Rizal for the February plot, was charged with rebellion Monday in connection with the six-hour standoff at the Manila Peninsula hotel in Makati City Thursday last week.
The standoff was led by Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV who walked out of the Makati regional trial court hearing his coup d’état case for Oakwood mutiny he and other Magdalo officers staged in July 2003.
Lim, who was a witness in the hearing, joined the walkout and the march to the hotel where Trillanes and his group holed out for about six hours until the police stormed the hotel. – Victor Reyes

Isa pa si Gloria Arroyo ay hindi ‘State’ kundi isang empleyado lamang ng gobierno. Sa taumbayan galing ang kanyang sahod at ibang gastos. Ang taumbayan ang may kaparatan at tungkulin para patalsikin siya sa anong paraan.
Right now, we can do civil disobedience to show our displeasure, like Kapitan Faeldon suggested. Any suggestions? I have a few ideas, but, I’d prefer not letting anybody know until I readied all my resources.

Mahirap i-convince mga ibang naturalize pinoys dahil hindi talaga sila informed/constantly updated kung ano nangyayari sa bansa natin. Ang alam lang nila bumabababa ang dolyar at gumaganda ang ekonomiya daw kaya medyo close ang pananaw nila. We can’t blame them for that, pero busy lang talaga sila sa work nila kaya wala talaga sila alam sa totoong nangyayari. Kasi noon pa man at sa kasalukuyan eh di masusukat ang kabayanihan ng Pinoy. Di kasama dito ang mga TRAPO at Balimbing, kasi tulad sila ng Hunyango nagpapalipat-lipat ng kulay kung saan madikit eh.
