Rose, He is dreaming?

On the other hand, this is good as this will allow a legitimate government to check the lifestyle of government as well as civilian officials. If the ID covers all transactions, it could become a deterrent to corruption, HOPEFULLY.

Yuko: A nice question? Sang-ayon sa Konstitusyon Art. XI, Section 1, it says; “Public office is a public trust”. Public officers, and employees must, at all times, be accountable to the people, serve with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty, and effeciency; act with patriotism and justice, and lead modest lives.

Eh di naman covered yang enchanted kingdom nitong nasabing batas, kasi nga sang-ayon sa Art. VII, Section 8, it says; In case of death, permanent disability, removal from office, or resignation of the President, the VP shall become the President to serve the unexpired term…..

Subaybayan mo at kakarmahin lahat yan. Ang dami nilang sinirang buhay!

National ID system. Its rationale is national security, particularly against communist insurgency and islamic militancy.

The problem with GMA Administration is the alarming mindset that whoever opposes it is suspected as a threat to the national security. And this Administration has been known for military abuses against human rights. The AFP as the primary agency pursuing the national ID system has no respect for human life.

The war on terror which PGMA strongly upholds has lost its sting. In the “presidential debates” in both democrat and republican camps, they strongly condemned the on-going use of military solution in Iraq.

The proposed national ID system, no matter how magical it could be in the enchanted kingdom of gloria, cannot solve communist insurgency and islamic militancy.

    5. Mahilig magdisplay sa media si esperon ng mga ‘firearms recovered from a successful combat operation’ na galing naman sa supply room ng afp. All right, mister?!!

AFP… has no respect for human life. Let me clarify this so that I will not be misquoted. The AFP, under GMA Administration, has been linked with human right violation. The corruption of its leaders is systemic and scandalous.

    noypisausa,

If the ID covers all transactions, it could become a deterrent to corruption, HOPEFULLY.

Well, this ID system will not solve corruptions in our country. How come a person that who will propose and create this ID system are the one who steals peoples money?

Okey it’s a deal! If they will arrest and put the full force of our laws against Tabako; Joc-Joc; Abalos; Hello Garci; 2 Million Dollars man; at sa lahat ng corrupt tongresman.

I will support their campaign to have a National ID system once and for all! Wala ng maraming salitaan, PERIOD.

  10. Over in the land of the fluctuating yen, they also tried to impose a national ID (numbering) system some years back. It did not materialize because majority of the people here protested against it for fear of infringement of their privacy by the authorities concerned. The numbering system has now become optional and by choice.

It was actually not necessary since there were/are already the family registration and Health Insurance ID.

Frankly, a group in the US, where a similar numbering system is planned to be imposed, is strongly protesting against it by tying it with the mark of the beast, 666. There are a lot many blogs online discussing this numbering system in connection with the devil’s activities in the last days through his possessed advocates!

NPA has been considered as one of the longest insurgency movements in the world. Esperon’s thinking that military solution can solve the communist insurgency is a typical military mindset: bullet rules! Why call him a general?

Esperon will be “captive” of his own bullets! And this “bullet mentality” is dangerous. This mindset is capable of using “bullets” to silence those who publicly denounced the corruption and abuses of the Arroyo Administration. This is the mindset who will not respect human rights in the name of national security.

This is the dangerous mindset who is now pursuing the national ID system. If you have no ID, you are obviously an enemy of the state – no question asked. “… military harassment instilled a paralyzing and shattering fear,” says Bishop Labayen. If you have ID, as long as you are listed in the “white paper” your privacy will not be secured from the “eye” of the military intelligence groups.

Blame former chief justice Davide for this constitutional manipulation. Davide and other justices ‘inserted’ constructive resignation on this Art.VII, Section 8. Gloria Arroyo is bogus President via 2001 Mob rule and 2004 election fraud.

The administration is already in the after stage of paranoia dipping into terroristic imaginations and enchanted dreams. They are in so many fronts while all enemies have taken now the road of protracted revolution. Like the christians of old, they suffer persecutions and wait.

Insurgents and rebels thrive in a culture of anonymity. It’s them that contort themselves into pretzels fighting the common sense idea that a national ID would rationalize the delivery of basic services and the whole conduct of public and private life. They of course don’t want the government to be able to do its job because that would undercut the revolution, which is nothing more than an organized criminal syndicate that gives livelihood to gunmen, thugs and enforcers on the pretext of liberating them from hunger and poverty.

The whole idea that the national ID is JUST a national security tactic is so lame! That the police and military need and want it in order to crush the NPA is an even lamer strawman set up by the Left and its allies. The authorities are free to collect all the intel they need right now without a national ID system.

We really need it for more mundane things like administering the public trough, assistance to the public, health and human services, medical, insurance and legal documents, payments and collections, taxes, voting, charity, benefits, pensions and the myriad of transactions that the Government is supposed to be accountable for.

So let’s not get silly or melodramatic about this. Freedom cannot be practice in chaos. Our freedoms are increased and NOT diminished when we bring order to our relations with each other. If the Constitution is to be enforced as Social Contract, the IDENTITY of all parties must be public.

The greater threat to our common freedoms comes from the “insurgencies” that have held the country hostage all these long decades. Hostage to their grim and crazy ideas. Hostage to their megalomaniac, Messianic vanities.

If the Filipino People have fled in diaspora it is as much from the beheaders and the revolutionary extortionists as from the failed ruling classes.

Anonymity is the last hiding hole of cowards and sneaky, devious souls.

  22. Insurgency is not the disease, it is just a symptom. The root causes have been brought to light already, why not act on them now? “Anonymity is the last hiding hole of cowards and sneaky, devious souls (DJB)” no it is not, these cowards need not hide, they hold power, what they do is MISDIRECT.

I know some countries who have this kind of ID system, alam mo ang kabutihang dulot nito, yong assigned number sa bawat tao eh siyang magiging link sa lahat ng transaction sa anumang sangay ng gobyerno o pribado man ito.

Sumagot na ako with my email address.

Hindi puwedeng TY. Bayaran mo ako sa pamamagitan ng pagbigay sa simbahan, kawang-gawa, o ibang uri ng kabutihan sa hindi makabayad; yung sinasabing least of our brethren.

  60. balweg balweg

  61. balweg balweg

  62. atty36252 atty36252

    Salamat, balweg at juggernaut.

That is a sure way to lose votes.

  63. atty,

  64. Atty’s principle of di puwedeng TY is completely acceptable to me because TY can come in many forms and in this case, Atty is asking for indirect return sa kapwa Pilipino na nangangailangan (whew — haba kumontik ng maging wrong ispeling ah!), tunay na bayanihan spirit.

  66. balweg balweg

    Atty36252,

Whatever you do, do it for the glory of our Almighty God!

Maganda silang halimbawa.

  67. On one of the long corridors of Harvard University are carved in granite the words of Archibald Macleish:

“How shall freedom be defended? By arms when it is attacked by arms; by truth when it is attacked by lies; by democratic faith when it is attacked by authoritarian dogma. Always, and in the final act, by determination and faith.”

  68. chi chi

“How shall freedom be defended? ….; by truth when it is attacked by lies;….”

Mukhang Ellenville residents lang ang gumagawa niya a!

  69. Mrivera Mrivera

    atty,

Parang nadaanan na namin yan last year. Yun ba yang ongoing project near sa Carrefour? I hope I got it right. Qam sa’nah shukol hena Saudi? Ana rah Filiben mara shar…mafeeh morthajah hena..Rah althool. Inta?

  73. Mrivera Mrivera

    krunck,

have stayed six straight years without going on vacation because my children are all in college and still had to stay when my youngest daughter took up nursing.

  74. krunck krunck

Well said, Mrivera. Mabrook na rin for being such a good padre de familia. Qam jawal inta? Mumkin ana tazel inta, mafeeh muskellah?
