Rotten strategy

“Style mo, bulok.” That’s what we say when we catch someone trying to con us.

That’s what we want to tell AFP Chief Hermogenes Esperon and his not so intelligent “intelligence agents” who had someone pose as Capt. Nicanor Faeldon and called up ABS-CBN and GMA-7 to give an interview.

The style was so rotten, it stank. We are wondering what sinister plan they are up to.

Faeldon’s lawyer, Trixie Angeles, thinks it was a ploy to flush out Faeldon who escaped at the height of the melee last November 29 at the Manila Peninsula.

Esperon’s unintelligent intelligence agents probably think that an interview with an impostor Capt. Faeldon, would compel the real one to surface to grant an interview. It’s presumed that they would be monitoring ABS-CBN’s Ces Drilon closely so that when the interview with the real Faeldon happens, they would be there to arrest him. They presume that Faeldon lacks intelligence like them.

Military agents have to resort to such indelicate strategy because they are racing against time. Esperon is supposed to end his extended term on May 9. It is apparent that Esperon wants to wrap up his crusade against officers who have continued to remain firm against dishonesty and corruption in the Arroyo administration. That includes the more than 20 Magdalo officers led by Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and the 28 officers implicated in the Feb. 26 alleged mutiny led by Maj. Gen. Renato Miranda.

Esperon probably does not trust his successor Lt. Gen. Alexander Yano to be as unscrupulously hard on the detained officers so he wants to inflict permanent harm on them that could not be undone by Yano.

The past weeks, we have seen a flurry of backdoor negotiations with the detained officers. They paraded the nine former Magdalo officers led by Capt. Gerardo Gambala as an example of what happens to those who surrender to the illegitimate president. Gambala and company are expected to be granted pardon before Esperon exits.

The Gambala gambit, however, has not been successful in luring the principled officers to do the same.

The other business that Esperon would like finish off would be Faeldon, who has a P1 million price on his head. “Many strange things are happening when officials are about to retire. It looks like intelligence operatives are looking for a retirement gift. After the nine former Magdalo officers, Captain Faeldon is definitely a prize,” Angeles said.

But for a while, after ABS-CBN aired the interview with the fake Faeldon, there were concerns among his friends that he could have been captured and that ISAFP was merely preparing the scene for a public presentation of the slippery marine officer, either dead or alive.

It was recalled that before the capture of Army lieutenant Lawrence San Juan was made public, there was someone who claimed to be San Juan interviewed on radio.

We can glean from Angeles’ statement that the military does not have Faeldon in their custody. “To be clear, Capt. Faeldon is indeed out. He has left detention to continue the fight for a credible government, a fight he had begun in 2003. While he is willing to take responsibility for any and all of his actions, he will not allow an illegitimate authority to exercise power over him. He will not be judged by a criminal syndicate masquerading as government (his words). Nor will he allow himself or his name to be used by any interests other than the higher interests of this country,” she said.

What intrigues us is the attempt by the fake Faeldon to revive the involvement of Sen. Gregorio Honasan in the 2003 Oakwood siege. Have Gambala and company given Esperon new info against Honasan, who is now on the same side with him defending Arroyo’s illegitimate presidency? Is there something that Esperon knows about Honasan that he is concerned would be a threat to Arroyo and also to himself?

Asspweron! Style mo BULOK, bulok, bulok! You are so rotten to the core.

I’m just wondering why ABS-CBN was taken for a ride?

I recall Esperon term was extended so he can wipe out the insurgency during the extension and I don’t which he did wiped out..hehe..BTW his counterpart here in Canada, General Hillier retires after 3 years as the country Top General at age 52 and the only very few people who are relieved are his political masters who he so embarrassed into giving his soldiers the badly needed funds for their modern hardware, and he fully restored the Public trust and respect to the military. He looked after the welfare of his injured soldiers and the families of his soldiers fallen in action and now he reported to his Chief and to his Country…Mission Accomplished.. a Soldier’s soldier worthy of his star..wish the Pilipinos, everyone of them can say the same to General Esperon…

    In this corner, listen, Ass-ass-pweron!

Style mo Bulok! Matagal ng kumita ‘yan sa takilya! You can fool your Evil Boss, because you’re of the same color but not the people!

Alis na sa puwesto mo! Pareho ka talaga ng Ama mo!

It is evident that Gloria wants to let the people know that Capt. Faeldon is is still alive. Now … why would they want to do that??

  5. Etnad Etnad

O may angal ba kayo!!!!

  7. Etnad Etnad

    Laski,

It’s obvious, a million dollar reward para mag-unahan sa pagtuturo kay Capt. Faeldon.

  9. What a crap, this system of corruption being propagated by Gloria Dorobo and her minions because it is not her money she is spending for paying these rewards called “suhol” in pilipino. Over where I am based, authorities here do not spoil people by giving them rewards for pinpointing a escapee because it is one’s civic duty to do so for the sake of law and order.

I have yet to see a police posters for the wanted stating a reward for informers. Most of the time, the informer would not even want to be identified as a matter of fact especially when the culprit belongs to a crime gang.

Hahaha. Bistado ang plot nina Esperon! May tawag kami dyan sa law school: Panis!

    Laski:
This government wants to remind us that Capt. Nick is still alive so that people would be on the lookout for him. He does have a one million peso reward.
Pero tama ka magduda. We should always be wary that this time around, hindi lang torture sa bartolina ang gagawin kay Capt. Nick.
Everyone I have spoken to expresses the wish that Capt. Nick evades the Pidals’ law enforcement agents forever. As long as nasa labas siya, buhay ang pag-asa nating tumutuloy ang laban.

  13. Valdemar Valdemar

Their strat is more than generous to the opposition. They have just made Faeldon the new war cry, the new Dante, like the Rafael of Nicaragua, they fear him now. For as long as Faeldon is at large, he is the ghost and may not be friendly at all.

  14. Valdemar Valdemar

Faeldon has been their nightmare all along.

  15. Gabriela Gabriela

Whose idea was it to have that fake Faeldon call up the TV stations? It’s clearly the handiwork of ISAFP.

    Style mo, bulok talaga, Esperon.

  16. Gabriela Gabriela

Dapat habulin sila ni Ces Drilon. Biro mo, kinuryente siya?

  17. Baka nga tinatago nila si Faeldon a. Who knows, baka kasama na siya nina Jonas? Heaven forbid!

  18. parasabayan parasabayan

A super ambitious and vicious asspweron will stop at nothing to justify any means so he can get what he wants. Parehong pareho sila ni evil bitch. This is why they co-exist!

I agree with you 100%, Ellen. Indeed the style of Esperon’s unintelligent intelligence agents (The terminology you’ve used to describe them really gave me a big laugh. And it rhymes too!) Incidentally, the last paragraph of your article today kind of gave me a different impression of Sen. Honassan. There could have been something Gambala and company revealed to Esperon which prompted the latter to include Sen. Honassan in the scenario. I must admit that I was too quick in judging the senator. My apologies for the remark I’ve given him a couple of days ago. (I’m sorry, Mr. Senator. I take back what I’ve said. I should, after all, still give you credit for putting together a group of fine young men, most of whom are still holding on the core ideal of the Magdalo.)
Anyway, in getting back to these rotten, yellow, chicken livered sissies of the armed forces of Gloria Arroyo, I have this to say to you. “We are silently growing in number. Your concern should not be in neutralizing those in the military who went up in arms against this present administration. Rather, be more concerned of how you could deal the growing, silent, dicontented, sensible, soldiers in the military as well as the masses of tormented people who are just waiting for an opportune time to get your necks.”

  20. george george

May I add this addendum, please?
The second sentence in my blog should have ended with the phrase:…is not only rotten, it stinks!
    Thank you.

with the P1M reward many greedy characters would exert extraneous effort to find NickFaeldon.

yet only a few cares to look for JonasBurgos and others….

    sigh.

Sorry na lang, nabuking. Try again something new baka magwork.

I seriously doubt that they have Capt. Nick, with this government’s penchance for theatrics, they would have paraded the good Captain already–remember what they did to Lt. San Juan. No, i do believe that Captain Nick is still out there and this pseudo interview is just a ploy to lure him out. Embarassing as to how low our “intelligence” would go to.

The good question to ask would be what are they up to?

GMA and Esperon? what do they have to gain out of all these?

Another ploy to divert people’s attention? Or was this part of the script? That in exchange for pardon–the 9 would implicate Honasan?

GloriaAsspweron can’t fool the people at this point, the Kapinuyan is watching all their moves with active EENTs.

The evil duo’s deodorizers no longer work! Masyado na silang umaalingasaw sa baho!

This could be a warning to Gringo. The case against him was dismissed because of a “reinvestigation” by the DOJ to determine probable cause. The reinvestigation, of essentially the same facts, found no probable cause against him, so the case was dropped.

Because it was dropped by the prosecution, it may be revived. There is no double jeopardy, because he was not prosecuted. So the government may reinvestigate the reinvestigation and find probable cause. That is why they have him by the balls (is that the correct term for him?).

He may be having a change of heart and yearning for his swashbuckling (in his mind) image of the serial coup plotter, and military reformist (remember RAM?).

It is also possible, that they need his vote for cha-cha, or something, down the road, so this is a reminder to toe the line, or there may be a finding of probable cause, as suddenly as the finding that there was none.

  26. parasabayan parasabayan

Atty, the evil bitch is great at this-“holding the balls”. Heh,heh, heh…walang kawala si Gringo!

The pushing of the Cha cha anew is definitely on the horizon! With the a Gloria Supreme Court, what else can we expect?

If the people will just sit around and look, tomorrow when they wake up, the Philippine Republic will be Pidal Republic na! GISING!

  27. PSB,

Holding the balls? Literal ba iyan? 😛

  28. parasabayan parasabayan

Yuko, read between the lines…heh, heh, heh. Gringo is much better looking than Nani, di ba?

  29. PSB:

Yuck! I would not even attemp to hold them by the balls, not even figuratively!

My sister in fact had one of Honasan’s girls as her patient long, long time ago. VD ang sakit according to my sister. Minumura daw si Honasan! Ewwwwwwww!

As for Honasan being good-looking, I guess it depends on who looks at him. Sabi nga, “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.” Not my type. 😛

  30. I was going to say, mas gusto ko ang mukha ni Faeldon or Trillanes. Iyan ang he-man.

  31. …..attempt not attemp! Sorry about that.

  32. My reading of the situation is that, the real target of this latest operation are Trillanes and the unrepentant Magdalo officers and the Feb. 06 officers lead by Gen. Miranda, Gen. Lim, Col. Querubin et al.

My hunch is that Gambala and company gave Esperon and his agents info that they could use to pressure Honasan to pin down Trillanes and Miranda et al.

  33. atty36252 atty36252

My hunch is that Gambala and company gave Esperon and his agents info that they could use to pressure Honasan to pin down Trillanes and Miranda et al.
    **********************

Problem is, how will Honasan testify without implicating himself? Seek immunity as a state witness? Didn’t the findings in the reinvestigation state that he had no participation?

Besides, the state witness is the least guilty, not the most guilty. Of course, that was discarded in Erap’s plunder case, where the guy receiving commissions was implicated by the jueteng lord himself. That’s like the gunman testifying against the getaway car driver.

That is the problem with ad hoc spins – everything is an afterthought, so they normally paint themselves into a corner.

  34. chi chi

Wow! Big time mess up in the AFP to save Korap Gloria’s stinking ass!

  35. irene irene

Iyan ang tingin ko kay Honasan as a matter of fact. 😛

  37. Faeldon’s unkind words on Honasan was what raised some of my doubts as I pointed out here the first time this news broke. Despite our misgivings against Gringo, I can sense that the Magdalos never really lost confidence on their founder.

Look, the Manila Pen standoff was perfectly a copycat of the Oakwood incident, the original one appeared to have “Kuya’s” imprints all over it.

I have given up on Gringo, as many in here did, too. But it seems the Magdalos have not.

  38. Gabriela Gabriela

I think it’s not that they have not given up on Honasan. I guess it’s more of may pinagsamahan. And usually men, real men, don’t bitch against fellow officers in public. You are correct,Tongue T, the fake Faeldon’s words against Honasan gave him away. Paano kasi that was what ISAFP wants to pursue.
