Pagkatapos na linggo-linggong pagtaas ng presyo ng gasolina na talaga naman ikina-ngitngit na ng mga tao, biglang nag anunsyo ng rollback na piso sa bawat litro ang mga gasoline companies. Nakapagtataka dahil hindi naman bumaba ang presyo sa world market na siyang ginagamit palaging rason kung bakit hindi nila mapigilan ang pagtaas linggo-linggo ng presyo.
Alam naman ng lahat na drama lang yan ni Arroyo para kunyari ramdam niya ang paghihirap ng taumbayan at gumawa kunyari siya ng paraan.Alam naman ng lahat na sa susunod na linggo, itataas ulit ang presyo ng gasolina at baka doblehin pa para mabawi ang ibinaba nila noong Miyerkoles.
Kaya naiinis ang mga motorista. Sabi ng isa, “Naghihirap na nga, lokohin ka pa.” Sabi naman ng isa, “Kung wala silang magawa, mag-resign na nalang at tigilan na ang panloloko.”
Hindi maintindihan ni Reyes. Sabi niya, “Ano ba naman? Nagagalit kayo kung magtaas ang mga oil companies ng presyo, Ngayon na nagbaba, nagagalit pa rin kayo.”
Ang sagot ng taumbayan: “Hindi kami tanga, ano.”
Totoo nga. Pagkalipas ng dalawang araw lang, hindi na inabot ng isang linggo, nagtaas ng P1.50 bawat litro ng presyo ng diesel at kerosene. Nagtaas rin ng presyo ng LPG gas.
Hindi sila nagtaas ng presyo sa gasolina sa takot nila sa tao. Sabi ni Fernando Martinez, presidente ng Eastern Petroleum,”Wala akong nakikitang maglalakas loob na bawiin ‘yong ni-rollback na piso.”
Ngunit sabi ni Zenaida Monsada, Oil Management Bureau director ng Department of Energy, “Kung talagang sisipa din uli ang presyo na huwag naman sana, then magkakaroon sila ng grounds for an increase. Pero kung how soon is something else, di natin masabi.”
Ano ngayon ang sagot ni Reyes sa nagagalit na taumbayan?
Hindi na raw nila kumpirmahin kung magtataas ng gasolina ang mga oil companies katulad ng ginagawa nila dati. Hayaan na lang daw nila sila magtaas ng presyo at malalaman na lang ng motorista yun kapag mag-pagasolina sila.
Mukhang natatakot si Reyes sa namumuong galit ng taumbayan at ang solusyon niya ay bahala kayo sa buhay nyo, basta ako ay magpakasarap sa aking airconditioned na opisina.
Mukhang ninenerbyus na rin ang Malacañang dahil inutusan ang intelligence unit ng AFP na magmanman ng pakiramdam at reaksyon ng mga tao patuloy na paghirap ng buhay bunsod ng pagtaas ng gasolina.
Bakit ISAFP? Plano ba ni Arroyo magmartial law?
Directing the ISAFP to monitor the reaction of hungry Filipinos is the most stupid thing to do. What the ISAFP should do is to monitor people in government, that includes Gloria and her greedy family, if they are performing their jobs and if they are lining up their pockets some more.
Gloria has gone berserk. This explains why ISAFP and the AFP was tasked to monitor the reactions of a hungry populace. The intent is to “terrorize” the people. At least Catherine the Great had the graciousness to let her people eat cake. For Gloria, it’s “let them eat terror.”
80 million Filipinos do not need the 7,000 NPAs to tell them that they are hungry. Neither do the Filipinos need the NPAs to tell them that the cause of their hunger is corruption in the government of Gloria. And it doesn’t need the intelligence of the whole intelligence community to see that.
ISAFP by its function and operation is supposed to be independent from other agencies. Its main task is to go after insurgencies. But since this Evil Bitch came to power, she placed her men to head the unit such as from her Presidential Security Group. So, ISAFP has become a unit going after her enemies and solely protect her.
