I asked our secretary (a White American lady) if she will vote this coming Tuesday and to my surprised she answered: ” I have already voted online a month ago! Our state allows us to do so.” And when I asked whom she had voted: She answered, “I voted for McCain!” Yes, folks: White race vs. the Colored one! The question for us Pinoys is: Where do WE belong? Don’t tell me …White!

Nakakalungkot…
    …Just wondering…will there be a Republic of Mindanao…

Those movies are so important from my point of view. I hope you’ll consider it the same way.

    Ellen,

Let me congratulate my fave General Danny Lim for setting up a blog, meron na akong mapapasyalan ng madalas bukod sa Ellenville. (I had difficulty logging in from where I was during the last few days.)

I enjoyed reading Aika’s entry, at the same time I felt sad thinking that for as long as Gloria remains in control of the few AFP members, the good General and the remaining Magdalo will suffer more in prison. Same with the Tanay boys.

    Mabuhay General Danny Lim!

Gagawin stripes. Tawag ay Black & White House.

“White race vs. the Colored one! The question for us Pinoys is: Where do WE belong? Don’t tell me …White!” Why not look deep in your heart and search your conscience, ask yourself, what candidate with such courage and wisdom can best serve the country. And go beyond the men’s color of skin, but judge such men’s character. For a moment, forget that you’re Pilipino in the Philippines. It’s not about you and what’s best for you, but the country as a whole. This what makes America the greatest country on earth, the people. Make the right choice!

Same old story.

  11. I repeat what I said in the previous post:
Cocoy, Chi, Rose, your comments this date induced me to break my silence on the US 2008 elections. Among the flood of opinions in Ellenville, yours were the rare sentiments that touched on Pinoyland, particularly Mindanao. Just as Cocoy fears there is more than a hint that an Obama presidency will make an unneeded change: an America that turns inwards – laissez faire, noninterference in the affairs of others. I prefer being dominated by Yankees rather than Chinks.

….That’s a good idea, Val. I’m sure our Black & White Movement led by Leah Navarro would like to see a Black & White House. Obama is white and Biden is white; so the two would be at the Whitehouse.

….Obama not sure because of undecided voters? How many percent comprise the undecided voters? If Obama’s margin is 10%, does 5% of undecided voters matter? The margin might be small but it’s still Obama. His beloved grandma just passed away; and he might gets the sympathy of the undecided.

Correction please: Obama is Black and Biden is White.

To answer the question what would happen to the Philippines and Mindanao: US Foreign Policy would be basically the same.
She must continue to protect her business and military interests abroad. But Obama is more accepted by other countries. His charm, calm, friendly personality would be good for the world. There would be better global cooperation.

Obama is expected to win because of Acorn, the cheating machine of the DNC. Where do you think the DNC got their money? From the Arabs, after all Obama is one of them. McCain do not need Garcillano because McCain have integrity, honesty and truth in himself. In fact McCain is too honest that most Pinoys do not care for an honest man. They like someone they can identify with probably like the Arroyos. I know McCain he is a true patriot. It seems like in this day and age the more corrupt the person is the more he is popular which is very disturbing. This is an apparent cause of moral degeneration.

The contest is still a toss-up between McCain and Obama. Obama would probabaly win in the popularity vote but is not assured of a win in the electoral college vote. Don’t forget what happened to Al Gore in the 2000 elections.

Every politician good or bad is an ambitious opportunist. In the case of Obama it is the ultimate distillation of identity politics: the idea of his being black. What’s more ingenious than playing to the conscience of Americans? What’s more opportune time than the present? He knew America’s guilt and it’s the right time for the country to make atonement for its past deeds. He is at the right place and at the right time and his salient physical characteristic may yet be his capital that will propel him to the top job as the most powerful man in the universe.

If Obama was white he would be characterized as a second rate senator without any impressive credentials. He is very good as a political organizer for his own advancement, but he still yet to identify a single uplifting intention to which he has remained constant if it has presented even the slightest risk to his advancements. He feels the pulse of the general public and says what they want to hear. He flip-flops in many occasions if it is good sound bytes to his listeners. He is the ultimate ambitious opportunist.

His campaigned is about change. What changes he would make has never been specifics. The only change we can see is wanting to change the presidency from a white man to a black man.

  21. Mike Mike

Both McCain and Obama, whoever wins is nakakatakot. Si McCain, we don’t know yet if he will still pursue Bush’s policy on war with “terrorist”. It is unfortunate that while we all abhor terrorism, so many innocent lives are wantonly killed. Syria and Pakistan was recently bombed by US military planes. ANd they are not sure if they hit their target or killed innocent civilians. It is not a remote possibility that they could do the same in Mindanao in pursuit of terrorist. Si Obama naman, well Rose pointed it out already.

  23. To those who stated that the Iraqi war “is a mistake” as though that were fact and not just an opinion —

I have Iraqi and afghans friends living in America who are all so very grateful that the US stepped in and ended Saddam’s reign of terror. You speak of the tens of thousands of Iraqis killed in the war; what about the hundreds of thousands murdered by Saddam’s regime? And what about the terrorists being sheltered, supported, and trained in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Do you really think it’s just because the Muslim extremists had a major success on 9/11 that there haven’t been further attacks? I think this claim of the war being an “expensive mistake” is a very superficial and ill-thought-out conclusion. But then, it’s easiest to follow the crowd and criticize after the fact. Just be grateful that the current administration has been successful for 7 years in stopping further attacks upon a great USA where my children live. I have faith that Mr McCain’s administration will also be vigilant. I’m not so sure about an Obama administration.

Again if USA will be attack by a terrorist those economic plans whoever the president will be tossed up in a recycle bin.

  24. Mike Mike

Going into war with Iraq and in Afghanistan is a correct response after 9/11, but prolonging the war is not.

  25. It is sad how many media outlets are so in the tank for Obama. This is not even funny anymore, because they do not even pretend to be fair anymore. I do not believe the various polls, as I think they are being twisted, people are afraid to say they like McCain(for fear of being called racist), people cannot put McCain signs up(because they will be stolen or their property vandalized), etc. Do you think these people will tell pollsters they like McCain? I doubt it.

Also do not know what the turnout will be.

I would like to know why Obama and Biden get free passes on all things, then the GOP side gets blasted all the time? Not fair coverage. When Obama said there are 57 states, Biden claimed there were TV’s in 1929 and picked the wrong President, where was this?

Obama plays all sides of each issue. He wants coal energy, then he doesn’t want it. Can’t people see this?

Can’t you see how he will cripple this economy and make us into a socialistic welfare state? His tax cut number was 250k, 200k, 150k, 120k, kept changing.

You are also judged by the people you pal around with, and it isn’t good for him.

What about the stories of people impersonating Hillary supporters who like Obama. The campaign is said to have people who do this, as well as praise Obama on websites and bash McCain.

The whole candidacy is all smoke and mirrors. If he does win, it will be funny to watch how mad the people get by what he does and does not do. Broken promises galore.

Americans will be on unemployment, too, as the tax increases will wipe out jobs.

  26. You can not just pull out the troop in Iraq that quick. It need a contingency plan or else we are putting the lives of the soldiers in suicidal scenario.

John McCain declared that most American troops will be home from Iraq by 2013 and that Iraq will be a functioning democracy with only spasmodic episodes of violence, a striking departure from his refusal so far to set a date for U.S. withdrawal.

In a speech in the heart of Ohio, a major battleground state in the fall election, Mr. McCain set forth a sweeping, extraordinarily positive vision of what the world will look like 2013, when he says he will have been in the White House for four years.

“By January 2013, America has welcomed home most of the servicemen and women who have sacrificed terribly so that America might be secure in her freedom,’’ Mr. McCain said at the Columbus Convention Center. “The Iraq War has been won. Iraq is a functioning democracy, although still suffering from the lingering effects of decades of tyranny and centuries of sectarian tension. Violence still occurs, but it is spasmodic and much reduced.’’

  27. McCain added, “maintains a military presence there, but a much smaller one, and it does not play a direct combat role.’’

During his primary battle, Mr. McCain frequently accused Mitt Romney of setting a timetable for withdrawing troops from Iraq, a charge Mr. Romney denied.

In comments to reporters after his speech, Mr. McCain insisted that his speech should not be interpreted as setting a date for withdrawal, and that he was simply projecting victory in Iraq. He took issue with a reporter who characterized his speech as a “magic carpet ride,’’ saying: “I don’t think it has anything to do with fantasy, I think it has everything to do with setting goals and achieving.’’

In his speech, Mr. McCain also projected that “concerted action’’ by the world’s democracies will have persuaded Russia and China to cooperate in persuading Iran to abandon its nuclear ambitions and North Korea to discontinue its own.

In Afghanistan, he said, an increase in actionable intelligence will have led to the capture or death of Osama bin Laden, and “there is no longer any place in the world al Qaeda can consider a safe haven.’’ He added: “There still has not been a major terrorist attack in the United States since September 11, 2001.’’

    The Bush’s War

Was Bush’s attack on Iraq legal? Of course not. For one thing, wars of aggression were punished as war crimes at Nuremberg. Second, Bush never secured a congressional declaration of war, which the U.S. Constitution requires. That makes Bush’s war on Iraq illegal under US form of government. Third, the UN Charter, to which the U.S. is a signatory, makes attacks on other countries illegal.

The fact is that the Bush regime is going to do whatever it wants to do. In Bush’s mind, whatever he does is legal and moral because it’s all for “freedom” or in accordance with some plan of God. Thus, all the hullabaloo.

  34. Garci is not in Colorado.

The state of Colorado has released its first set of early voting figures: and it’s bad news for Obama.Despite a massive push by Obama for early voting, including repetitious pleas during the Democrats’ Convention for Coloradoans to early vote, Democrats and Republicans are tied in terms of early voting so far.105,277 – Democrats = 49.92%105,615 – Republicans = 50.08% v338 = Difference between the two = 0.16%This means that even with a nonstop push by the Obama campaign for his followers to vote early, Republicans are still ahead in Colorado, if only slightly.Democrats vote early in higher numbers than Republicans in almost every state. And that’s not including the big persuasive push by Obama. Logic dictates with all the attention Obama’s put on early voting, that Democrats should be clobbering Republicans right now…if they vote early in higher numbers to begin with, and then Obama’s made a big push for early voting on top of that. That’s not happening.Republicans have a slight lead in early voting right now.Where is all the enthusiasm for Obama the media keeps braying about? And remember: not all of those Democrats are voting Obama. We know 30 Democrats right there in Chicago who voted early — and voted Republican for the first time in their lives. We bet there’s a higher percentage of Democrats voting Republican in Colorado this year than any year in the past. And that’s something we won’t know the full extent of until Election Day.

In recent years, the Bush administration has used “terrorist” as a kind of geopolitical curse word, rather than a legally defined term. In the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, for instance, the Bush administration has applied the word “terrorist” to local insurgents battling U.S. troops, even if there are no attacks on civilians.

With the new attempt by McCain and Palin to portray Obama as a “terrorist sympathizer” for simply knowing someone who once engaged in what Obama called “detestable acts 40 years ago when I was eight years old,”

Obama’s constant exposure to Asian culture starting during his youth, could bring positive alterations in the RP-US relations.

Barack, until age ten, stayed in Indonesia with his mother, Ann Durham, a very capable researcher/anthropologist working for Ford Foundation.

(This should debunk vicious and false rumors that Barack spent his childhood in Indonesia to become a jihadist sleeper.)

And oh, the adjectives i used to portray his mother are not entirely mine. Those are from her former colleagues at the Foundation—one of whom now works with Manila-based, Asian Development Bank.

First, I might say the author of the statement above need to be informed, such statement is false. The war in Iraq was overwhemingly approved by the Congress of the United States and sanction by the Security Council of the United Nation after 17 resolution in which Sadam Hussein decided to ignored. 53. Tilamsik Tilamsik

The Republican presidential campaign has tried to make a big issue of Barack Obama at one time associating with Bill Ayers, a member of the 1960s Weathermen who engaged in political bombings.

Governor Palin has accused Obama of “palling around with terrorists”, although Ayers’ association with the Weathermen during their period of carrying out anti-Vietnam War bombings in the United States took place when Obama was around 8-years-old.

By contrast, there is no evidence that Bill Ayers was involved in any Weathermen bombing that killed anyone; nor have I seen any evidence that on the very rare occasion that an anti-Vietnam War bombing in the United States resulted in a casualty that it could be ascribed to the Weathermen.

Senator McCain didn’t ask to be in the Vietnam war, his country asked for his service. Senator McCain was a fighter pilot during Vietnam war, he was there because he was sent by his country. We was a prisoner when his character and judgement as a leader was tested by his captors. In the darkness of his cell, he could’ve gone home earlier since he was a son of an Admiral. But, Senator McCain without no one looking or the cameras choices to remain with his buddy prisoner for 5-1/2 more years, of course he took the beating as the story been told. If that’s not a man with a strong character and leadership, Id don’t know what. Now name one notable Obama’s accomplishment that will qualify him as a leader? Anybody can eloqently make promises, but such a person has the records to justify it? Senator McCain and Gov. has such records of reform. And Senator has the scar to prove it.

Pretty soon the US election would be over. McCain knew he would lose. What the Republicans want to accomplish is to limit the Democrats winning most of the Congressional seats. They have long conceded to a McCain defeat. The show must go on…so whether McCain likes it or not, he has to continue campaigning. On the other hand, Obama has already gathered his economic team. The US economy problem is his priority; and the US is running out of time to solve this. McCain is not losing…it’s Bush who’s losing.

    Canadians appear to back Obama

The next U.S. president will be announced shortly, and Canadians are predicting it will be Barack Obama.

According to an electoral count done Monday by realclearpolitics.com, 51.5 per cent of the votes are certain for Obama, while 44.1 per cent are certain for John McCain, which leaves 4.4 per cent a toss up.

  58. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

“McCain is not losing…it’s Bush who’s losing.” ? How you figure? You might not like to admit, but President Bush gave USA 7 years of peace and prosperity, that his record. And he’s right in Iraq. Lastly, Americans are very intelligent people, at least the majority, they knew that the country is in war with extreme terrorists, and there is only one man that has the record that fought for his country, Senator John McCain. It’s going to be a long night tonite, but in the end America will choose a person with proven strong character in the face of adversity. We shall see.

I saw the tv interview of the Fed agent who infiltrated Ayers’ group. He said that the gov’t lost the case by technicality and that he was not allowed by the court to testify.

I don’t blame Barack for his choice of friends/colleagues. I just don’t like him being so evasive and denying that they were his ‘friends’ and he went beyond mere how-do-you-do associations with the personalities often mentioned in this blog. Perhaps, his campaign thought it better to deny.

  60. bitchevil bitchevil

Bush gave the US 7 years of peace and prosperity, Toney? First time I heard of it. If it’s true, why wasn’t he with McCain in any of his rallies and use it to convince voters? If it’s true, why did McCain say he’s not Bush?

Looking at TV news and watching CNN, many of the voters are indeed Blacks. Needless to say, majority of these Blacks are for Obama. A Black voter called to complain that in one place, 500 Black voters were not able to vote because the machines were not working. Given the modern technology and resources the US have, why didn’t they anticipate this? Or they deliberately messed it up in anticipation of more Obama voters?

On Muslims? Check the records…many of the terroristic acts committed inside America were done by white Americans like that of Oklahoma bombing. Being cynical of the previous administration was an understatement. If you insist that Bush did good in his eight years of presidency (the first clouded by suspicion and fraud stolen from Gore in Florida), then I suggest that you go to sleep or keep praying your rosary. I’m posing this query again: If Bush did good after eight years, don’t you think he should take pride in joining McCain in his campaign rallies? Don’t you think McCain should take pride in declaring that he’s like Bush?

Funny but majority of Europeans, too, prefer Obama. Apparently, all over the world, people want to see a different US president who will be more compassionate even to the Moslems, and will concentrate on trying to be friends to all, not accuse baselessly everyone as terrorist, including those Moslems already in US shores, and will not be as a hypocrite as Bush who claims to be another Christian trying to be like God! 😛

I like your take on this. The Vietnamese did not do the arrogant Americans any wrong.

I actually did not understand the Vietnam War myself. We were actually new immigrants to the US when the Americans started bombing Vietnam and blaming the Vietcongs for their own created woes. In fact, I did not understand as well the worldwide protests against the Vietnam War as I was kind of still fresh from the indoctrination I received as a child that America was No. 1, and the protector of the world, not the destroyer that it has actually become as now, and I wondered in fact why God allowed them to be defeated by the Vietcongs.

Apparently, God does not tolerate evil deeds!

If ACORN is so glued with the Democrats, no one here including Asian Delight answered my inquiries “Why then did GORE and KERRY lost theirs presidential bids, as well as OBAMA’S bid for a congressional seat in his district of Chicago?”

Ayers was an amateur rag tag domestic terrorist. He used low level types of bombs like firecrackers! He was never indicted nor convicted! J Gordon Liddy, an old friend of McCain was a convicted domestic terrorist and just gave the McCain campaign fund $1,000.00. McCain is so proud to be liddy’s chum. Liddy was the hatchetman of Nixon the Crook!

Palin is a joke, a dud, and so inept. World hopes for ‘less arrogant America’

BERLIN—The world was riveted by the election drama unfolding Tuesday in the United States, inspired by the hope embodied by Barack Obama or simply relieved that—whoever wins—an administration that spawned Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay was coming to an end.

From Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate to the small town of Obama, Japan, the globe geared up to celebrate a fresh start for America after eight wearisome years of George W. Bush.

In Germany, where more than 200,000 flocked to see Obama this summer as he moved to burnish his foreign policy credentials during a trip to the Middle East and Europe, the election dominated television ticker crawls, newspaper headlines and websites.

Hundreds of thousands prepared to party through the night to watch the outcome of an election having an impact far beyond America’s shores.

Among the more irreverent festivities planned in Paris: A “Goodbye George” party to bid farewell to Bush.

Europeans had a sense of the momentous change that was about to unfold.

Obama-mania was evident not only across Europe, where millions geared up for all-night vigils, but also in much of the Islamic world.

“I hope Obama wins (because) of the need of the world to see the US represent a more cosmopolitan or universal political attitude,” said Rais Yatim, the foreign minister of mostly Muslim Malaysia.

Nizar al-Kortas, a columnist for Kuwait’s Al-Anbaa newspaper, saw an Obama victory as “a historic step to change the image of the arrogant American administration to one that is more acceptable in the world.”

Yet John McCain enjoyed a strong current of support in countries such as Israel, where he is perceived as tougher on Iran.

If there is ONE COMMON GROUND in this blog or other blogs that ALL OF US MUST AGREE on is Palin’s selection for VP.
Lord Almighty! Yes she met the age and citizenship requirements but her interviews alone and debate with Joe B
just cringed people to the bones. Tina Fey didn’t even have to reinvent herself, Palin’s zigzagging and elongated incoherent expression of whatever she is trying to convey is a script itself for an SNL parody.
If not for her Eskimo husband, she won’t be governor of Alaska, that’s for sure.

This is McCain injected with a “calming pill”.
“I’m an emotional guy. I get angry. I’m not happy about it but sometimes I just snap. I always struggle with my
anger management every moment of the day”. This was a verbatim of an interview when asked about one of his highly volatile toxic tirades in the senate. That is John Sydney McCain III.
If he is elected, hope the Generals and Admirals keep the Nuclear Trigger away from him! For he might just snap!

  95. bitchevil bitchevil

McCain admits he’s emotional and gets angry. So, if another country provokes him, he would order an attack on this country out of emotion and anger. He has what’s called Post Traumatic Stress. Since he keeps bragging about his military and war records, then World War 3 may come as predicted under McCain administration.

As for reading the Bible, there are two types of bible reader: One reads without putting them into practice while the other put them into practice. 116. While you are having an argument about Sara and as we wait for the election returns to come in tonight, we’ll be spotlighting the political views of a series of local plumbers named Joe.

The original “Joe the Plumber” is intended to be a stand-in for the American Everyman. While he supported John McCain, other Joes the Plumber have different views. By checking in with these regular guys, we hope to learn something about the mood of the country during this historic moment.

The first Joe the Plumber is Joe Grammatico. He’s 31 years old, and works with his father at Sal-Sal’s Plumbing in Torrance. He said he’s not a very political person, and when I talked with him yesterday, he was still undecided.

“I don’t really trust either of them,” he said. “McCain’s age scares me a little bit. Obama seems fresh, but I think he could be manipulated.”

McCain’s age is a particular concern because Grammatico is no fan of his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin: “I think she doesn’t know what’s going on,” he said.

Grammatico said that during the last presidential debate, when “Joe the Plumber” became a star, he got a bunch of calls from his friends.

“They started saying the debate was all about you,” he said.

Since then, his customers have all been asking him about politics – a topic he prefers to avoid, not wanting to lose any business.

Check back later in the day for more wisdom from other plumbers named Joe.

  117. bitchevil bitchevil

Rose, nothing’s wrong with your praying the rosary. Since you’re a very educated person, why not do some research and find out the true origin of rosary. If you read the Bible, check out if God forbids long and repetitious prayers. Or do you want me to provide you the verse?

  118. I interrupted Joe Moore, of Joe Moore Plumbing in Gardena, while he was in the middle of replacing a sink. He was happy to take a short break from that to share his views on the election.

Like the original Joe the Plumber, he will be supporting John McCain.

Moore, 52, said he is concerned about taxes going up under an Obama Administration. But he said he also been on the Internet and had come to believe that Obama was not born in Hawaii – as his birth certificate shows – but rather was born in Africa.

“If you look at the other networks, all they ever talk about is how good Obama is,” he said. “I watch Fox News so I see both sides of it.”

Moore said he was afraid that Obama would try to bankrupt coal producers, and said he was also concerned about abortion, which he believes leads to crime, corruption and deceit. Beyond that, he was worried that Obama would “cut and run” from Iraq.

“If we cut and run, we’re going to tell the entire world we’re just a bunch of doggone cowards,” he said. “We’re sending ourselves to Doomsday.”

Moore said that McCain and Palin are the right people to go to Washington to clean house.

“The Congress is basically like a huge sewer line that’s plugged up and is overflowing,” he said. “McCain and Palin are the plumbers. They’re gonna clear it out and make sure it runs smooth.”

Joe the Plumber screwed up during his CNN interview with Rick Sanchez. He talked about his principle. When Rick asked him if it’s true he’s not a licensed plumber, owes thousands of taxes and medical bills; Joe got upset and answered back why Rick was asking those questions. Rick countered saying it’s to show if Joe has principle as he says he is. Rick further explained that since Joe publicly endorsed McCain and has been actively campaigning for him, people deserves to get his answers on all political questions. If you look at this guy Joe closely, he could have been planted by the Republicans to trap Obama in his rally. This bald (skinned head) redneck is obviously racist.

dawdaw, thank you for speaking out for Honorable President George Bush, history will justify him as one of the greatest president of America for his steadfast in bringing democracy in the middle east, right in the heart of muslim extremist, freeing million of citizens most specially women and stopping political killing of innocent people, including the ridding the butcher of Bagdad. Since the day one of his Presidency, the mainstream media and diehard members of democratic party has not once let up of attacking him. Inspite of it all, President Bush still standing tall and very proud of his accomplishment of keeping the Americans safe and prosperity in 7 years. Of course, his critics will disagree, only because of the grudge they still haven’t forgotten. Now, regardless of Obama’s lack of experience, matter not, democrats first and country last, as long as a democrat in the white house. The night ain’t over yet.

  125. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

Joe the plumber could be any one of us or it could happen to us, just a regular Joe minding his own business when Obama came to his neighborhood. Without going to a long detail of explanation, Mr Joe asked Obama about his tax proposal. Obama answered was, to spread the wealth around. Tax the high income group and spread it to the needy, those with lower income or no income according to Obama’s idealogy. Of course, Joe thought that Obama’s of spreading the wealth around is socialism. “from each according to ability, to each according to need, Karl Max. Now you know the rest of the story. Mr. Joe has been attacked and investigated only because he asked Obama a wrong question. Does this remind you of what, Russia, Red China, et al? You could make fun of Mr Joe, but as a citizen he has a every right to ask question according to the constitution affforded to all the citizens of America.

  126. bitchevil bitchevil

I have difficulty agreeing with anyone who believes that Bush is the greatest US President, fighter of freedom and democracy, who cares about innocent civilians, women and children. First of all, may I ask you to check the number of civilians killed in Iraq mostly from America’s bombings.

Agreeing with pro-Bush people is like agreeing with pro-GMA people. It’s very hard for me to shallow even a drop of it. Bush’s records in eight years is enough to back up my position. The records speak for themselves. But again, let me pose this query again: If Bush is really great as you claim to be, why did he not join any of McCain’s rallies even for just one day…last day of campaign? If Republicans and McCain are proud of Bush’s achievements like you Toney keep saying, why did McCain say he’s not Bush?

  127. bitchevil bitchevil

Correction please: Swallow not shallow. To console McCain supporters, I’d like to say that it’s not McCain who shall be defeated…it’s Bush.

  128. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

“This bald (skinned head) redneck is obviously racist.” Wow! How many bald person in America like Joe, are they all racist and redneck, only because you saw hin on TV? It appeared, such statement came from the playbook of Congressman John Murtagh of Pennsylvania. By the way, whose standard was this to call Mr Joe such derogatory names, from democrat game plot to destroy of those don’t conform to democrat visionary of how they see America?

  129. bitchevil bitchevil

Don’t tell me you’re also Bald, Toney. Negative ads and attacks are more rampant from the McCain’s side. They also started it and didn’t stop even during election day. Let’s just prepare for an Obama Administration. Let’s move on…

  130. bitchevil bitchevil

Toney, why not respond to this:

If Bush is really great as you claim to be, why did he not join any of McCain’s rallies even for just one day…last day of campaign? If Republicans and McCain are proud of Bush’s achievements like you who keep saying, why did McCain say he’s not Bush?

  131. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

Lets keep this in proper perspective, I’m not a supporter of McCain. However, I do like what he stand for, the security of America and fighting against the terrorists. He’s certainly without the benefit of doubt an honorable man, an American hero. Certainly, McCain is not Bush, if you follow the record of McCain throughout his career in the Senate, he’s far from Bush, he’s a maverick, he’ll cross party. Of course, I didn’t expect for you to know that or let alone accept it.

  132. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

President Bush, after almost eight years of non-stop attacked personally directed to him from democrats, his rating has gone down which is why McCain kinda shy away from Bush. I believe it was wrong. I still think President Bush did a lot to keep America safe, not only my opinion, but millions that believe in him. From the rubble of 9/11 in New York, he rises and promised that he’ll carry on ’till he rid of evils and make America a much safer place to live.

  133. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

“Negative ads and attacks are more rampant from the McCain’s side. They also started it and didn’t stop even during election day. Let’s just prepare for an Obama Administration. Let’s move on…”

Once again, you’re misinformed about negative atttacks. Obama got the entire mainstream media in his tank, for one. It’s like 80% percent negative against McCain and 36% percent negative attacks to Obama. Plus Obama with all his money, he out spent McCain like 8 to 1 on negative attacks. It’s factual, check it out.

Obama’s administration? Give the Americans some credit for being intelligent. This about the country and not Obama.

    to the American People:

thank you for electing Barack Obama as the next President of your great country.

with great excitement and care, i await to see the fruit of how you have taken back your soul. for yourselves, and for rest of the mankind.

    ***************

to the next President, Barack Obama:

please be reminded of what i wrote late January 2008, long before the Super Tuesday with HRC:

bring shamans, and exorcists, and priests with you before you set to grace the White House—especially the Oval Office.

collectively, they must perform with earnest sincerity ceremonies to drive off the very b-a-a-a-d spirits, and terrible omens residing in that office.

i am not seeing things, Mr. President. you must have seen those reports filed by your eyes and ears.

you see, my nation’s Chief Usurper and immoral de facto leader in her one of those legitimacy fishing expedition in your country, the woman named Gloria Arroyo, surreptitiously
barged into the White House, into Dubya Bush hands.

your predecessor, the poor fellow offered no resistance. in fact, he offered the usurper a seat in the Oval Office!

that seat must be removed and replaced. better yet, burn it. at the least, it must be exorcised for it carries the baddest of the bad omen coming from an illegal leader.

minute details should be taken to review the path she had taken around the House, as well as her legions of sycophant- devils, otherwise known as entourage. that too, must vetted by the shamans and spiritualists.

lastly, please do NOT ever make a crime of inviting her to the White House.

make heed, Mr. President. an exciting but mainly peaceful, and serene presidency awaits you, if you will.

i wish you, your lovely wife, Michelle, and your bubbly kids, Maila and Sasha, the best of luck.

Equity of the incumbent?

Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, HI, the 50th state of the US of A. So, he is as American as any natural-born American in continental USA. It was the father who was a foreigner from Kenya.

  172. The best thing to do now is write to Barack Obama re the Dorobo, and warn him about doing a Bush with her. Meanwhile, watch out for Bush’s last 100 days in the White House. Marami pang milagrong gagawin ang ungas, no doubt!

  173. Truth is comparing Obama with McCain re the latter’s Vietnam experience is most unfair because Barack was in fact just about 6 years old when the US invaded Vietnam ala-Iraq. He was not qualified for then compulsory draft. Otherwise, if he were 18 and above, he could have gone to Vietnam, too, with no father to help him get an exemption the way Dubya was saved from serving in Vietnam.

  174. bitchevil bitchevil

There are always two types of people: One who could argue sensibly and logically while another who reacts emotionally and angrily. Cocoy fits the first while Toney the second.

In a basketball game, a very strong team is expected to win over the much weaker team unless two things happen: The strong team throws away the game or gets cheated; and the other team applies dirty tricks and dangerous foul to win. In this fight between McCain and Obama, McCain’s camp did all it could by applying all the dirty tactics to win. For instance, during the election day itself, a nasty paper ad was circulated in Florida where a large Cuban population is concentrated. It alleged that Cuba’s President Fidel Castro endorsed Obama. Not only that, McCain’s group had been spreading wild rumors that Venezuela’s Chavez wanted Obama to win.

One thing admirable about the US election is their sportsmanship. The counting was not over yet, and McCain immediately conceded. In the Philippines, there would be killing and protests even long after the election is over.
McCain admitted it was his mistake. We don’t know what he was referring to. Maybe one of his mistakes was picking Sarah Palin who acted as attack dog all throughout the campaign.

We could see the same thing happens in 2010. Any candidate from Malacanang would suffer the same fate as McCain. But then, the Evil Bitch is evil…very evil who will resort all the dirtiest trick in the world to make her candidate win. There might be no election at all.

  175. bitchevil bitchevil

Do you know what the Evil Bitch would tell Obama? “Mr. President, I supported you. I told my people to support you.”
Obama replies: “Oh yea…get away you evil bitch!”

I’m sure the Evil Bitch will attend Obama’s inauguration on January 20, 2009.

  176. bitchevil bitchevil

There are three major reasons for the impressive Obama-Biden win:

    1) The disapproval of the Bush Administration policies on the economy and on the war on Iraq, thereby strengthening Obama’s call for change and a new direction;

    2) Obama with his eloquence, got his message through, besting John McCain in their three presidential debates.

    3) Obama had a well-organized campaign from the Internet to the door to door and telephone campaign supported by a huge campaign fund chest, mostly raised through small contributions via the Internet. His efficient organization got blacks and young voters to vote.

These have important lessons for the candidates in the 2010 Philippine elections.

First. Being identified with GMA will be a kiss of death and defeat.

Second. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with the voters. Of the nine presidentiables being floated, six of them are poor speakers.

Third. If you don’t have enough campaign funds, forget it, don’t run.

  177. bitchevil bitchevil

Grizzy, McCain used his Vietnam war experience all throughout his campaign as if he had no other credentials. That partly caused his defeat. We only had to read the opinions and arguments given by some pro-McCain bloggers here to determine McCain has lost long time ago. The election was just a formality.

Even the rabidly pro-John McCain FOX News Network has said that the last nail on the Republican coffin had been hammered in, thanks to a 20-year-old college student who had falsely claimed that a black man had robbed her and beaten her up, then scratched a ‘B’ on her face after seeing a McCain sticker on her car.

The racial overtones were just too obvious to deny. A big, black man had terrorized and scarred an innocent, white girl.

Without bothering to check the facts, McCain’s communications director released a version of the incident that would have done the Ku Klux Klan proud. When the tale of the mugging began to unravel, McCain did and said nothing.

The leftist agenda will now focus more on redirecting the rightist agenda back to the center. The democratic party will have a big challenge on how to implement it’s nationalistic/protectionist agenda at this time of crisis with unemployment rising. This is Obama’s problem not ours.
But we all know, Obama’s foreign policies and securities are less favored by majority.

On Barack Obama and the Future of Asia

The Relationship of US and China is a partnership started on trade, commercial and economic.

The relationship between US and Japan is more broad and comprehensive. It is based on security, economic, cultural and social ties.

In regards to Philippines, we will probably have to reevaluate our role with APEC and WHO

These two governing bodies are also independent from the World Bank
    and the IMF

My question would be, how does Obama implement its CHANGE, a leftist agenda, without causing too much imbalance to those established organizations?

What policies, sanctions and qoutas that our government must maintain and prepare strategies beneficial to our country?

In my opinion, we will go back to basic. Buy our own and achieve national sufficiency. We must elect a president that will clearly define our economic goals within our country FIRST.

    Remittances will continue 🙂
