Na sa Baghdad kasi si Bush noong Lunes sa kanyang farewell visit dahil bababa na siya sa pagka-presidente sa Enero 20. Sa mga araw pala ang pagtapon ng sapatos sa isang tao ay ekspresyon ng pagkamuhi.
Nasa Qatar si Gloria Arroyo kaya nasabi ng aking kaibigan na sana may gagawa nun sa kanya.

Kaya lang kung isipin mo, itong mga Filipino na ginawa ni Arroyo na mga zombie, hindi rin yan kikilos kung mayrun gagawa ng hakbang na turuan ng leksyon si Arroyo. Panoorin lang nun si Arroyo dahil wala ng silang paki-alam. Ang mahalaga lang sa kanila, kumita at mabuhay. Hindi nila tinatanong kung bakit sila ay naghihirap.
Sa mga Filipinong nag-iisip, hindi makakasiguro si Arroyo na hindi mangyari sa kanya ang nangyari kay Bush. Naala-ala nyo si teresa Pangilinan na nagladlad ng streamer laban kay Arroyo sa isang graduation ceremonies sa state university sa Cavite? Naala-ala nyo ng magladlad rin ng streamer mula sa mataas na palapag ang mga estudyante ng University of the Philippines sa Philippine General Hospital habang na inaugurate si Arroyo ng Eye Center?
At huwag natin kalimutan ang nangyari kay dating AFP Chief Hermogenes Esperon na tinapunan ng itlog sa UP.
Maraming natuwa kay Mar Roxas nang minura niya ang isinusulong ni Arroyo na charter change para maging “Gloria Forever”. Sa rally noong Biyernes, sinabi ni Mar, “P… ina! Ibasura ang Gloria Forever Constitution. Niloloko nila tayo.
Yiung iba nga sa likuran ko noon, mas matindi ang sigaw. Hindi ko lang masabi rito.

I just remembered many years back when someone attempted to kill Imelda Marcos with a knife. I remember that it was on a stage.. something like an awarding ceremony or something. Anyone remember this incident? What happened to the would be assailant? I assume pinatay ito.
That assassin who tried to stab Imelda was of course dead. Nothing was heard of him. It was a media black out at that time. But, the guy should have done more than using a knife. Any person can sue anyone or in this case, the journalist for an attempted battery. Anyone can actually cripple somebody’s income or the journalist career for life. Would anyone do things that may hurt his/her income for the family? is it really worth doing things like that in our country?
It is also about professionalism. The journalist can always attack any political figure thru free speech. There are boundaries between cultural behaviour and professionalism. In this case, both co-exist in one setting. It’s not good and maybe considered an unacceptable professional behaviour to some.
Cultural behavior: I once worked with an Iraqi. We get along very well at work but she had always backstabbed all the other americans co-workers.
One day, i asked her. Have you heard of the saying that when you’re in rome be a roman?” She said: yes. Then i told her “if you don’t like the americans, why are you here? You can go back to Irag. You have options you know. This is our work place that provides revenue to our family. ”
After that event, she has isolated herself from the rest of the team, left the department and she had to start all over again. I’m sure she had learned that lesson. Weare still friends but might have been embarrassed. Don’t we all have that ” you deserve it” moment.?
To connect my story at work to the journalist, it’s about anger, a negative behaviour ingrain within that culture of prolong agony and exposure to abuse of power not even with Bush but with Saddam. Angry people against a political figure is nothing new. It’s happening in our country too. But one would really do it? knowing that there might be consequences as to one’s future career?

NPC head Danding Cojuangco just announced that he has picked Loren Legarda and Chiz Escudero as the party’s candidates in 2010. The two especially Escudero have been consistently attacking the Evil Bitch. Since NPC is allied with KAMPI, how can the two remain to be as opposition?
