May umuugong rin tungkol kay AFP Chief Alexander Yano na hanggang Hunyo pa bilang pinuno ng sandatahang hukbo. Kailangan din hawak ni Arroyo ang military sa kung anong binabalak niya.

Mas marami na sa mga Supreme Court justices ay appointed ni Arroyo. Ngunit kahit na ganoon, iba talaga kapag naninindingan sa tama ang pinuno. Kaya sa mga mahalagang isyu, hindi nakakalusot si Arroyo.
Umaandar na ang charter change sa mababang kapulungan na magre-resulta sa habambuhay na pagka-pangulo ni Arroyo. Kailangan ni Arroyo ang Korte Suprema na kampi sa kanya. Hindi niya maasahan dito si Puno.
Iyan ang dahilan sa kaso na isinampa laban kay Puno. Hindi malayo na ang isusunod ay si Yano.
Si Paras, kung nakalimutan na ninyo yung nagsabi nung kauna-unahang impeachment attempt kay Gloria (oposisyon pa siya noon), “…I told my daughters, your Daddy is not for sale.”

That drug is corruption.
Corruption is the most dangerous drug of all in this country. It gives the user to feel not only the pangs of lust or love of money; it sends the user to longer and farther power trips, making them feel like they deserve to rule forever; it is the most addictive drug of all, and one, quite unfortunately, that does not kill the user, only everyone around him, or her.
It is no small irony—indeed it is a sublimely poetic one—that Marcelino set out to take on drug pushers and users and ended up taking on the justice department. They are one and the same. The justice department is the biggest pusher of the most dangerous drug in this country, or the biggest supplier of it to its biggest user in the country, to be found in the Palace by the Pasig. At the very least, you can’t have a brain more addled by drugs—in more ways than one—than Gonzalez’s. And you can’t have veins more addicted to constant injections of power than those of his boss.
What can I say? Never mind Ombudsman, Marcelino for president.

Raul Goonzalez raised the issue of Major Marcelino’s violation of the constitution by working at PDEA when the latter is still an active AFP officer. Why only now? What’s wrong with military officers being detailed with civilian agency to solve the drug problems? Apparently, the old shit was getting back at the poor but honest Major. There are many active soldiers detailed in civilian agencies. The question is not that of constitution since it’s not something new; but if the guys are performing their duties efficiently which this Marcelino did.
He is not complaining about military officers and enlisted men asigned as bodyguards of politicians.

Filipinos should stop recommending to someone doing his job to run for president. Bakit kundi ba siya president, di siya puedeng magsilbi sa bayan? Sa totoo lang, doon kailangan si Puno sa trabaho niya ngayon even just perhaps to restore the trust and confidence of the Filipinos in their judiciary.
Kahit siya appointee ni Bangaw, he should prove himself worthy of his position by showing his loyalty to the people and dedication to the position he has been appointed to, not to the criminal who has grabbed her position not just once but twice! Time to change the system and institution of graft and corruption prevailing in the Philippines.

Actually, his main protector was his own father, the Mayor, who has strong influence over the Police. He was a son by the first wife. He was also administrator of Pasay General Hospital that he could easily acquire volumes of Valium and Mogadon from fake prescriptions written on PGH stationery. Even hospital equipment were sold to the blackmarketeers in Bambang and secondhand shops in Gandara in Binondo to support his drug business and his own addiction. He was later arrested by Narcom and although there were reports he committed suicide we saw him later in the resthouse Villa Cuneta in Antipolo. FYI.

And remember the incident when they were forcing Gov. Niel Tupas out of his office? Gonzales personally commanded both PNP and AFP troops to storm the Iloilo capitol that both PNP-RO and ReCom officers were even threatened in media of reassignment should they not heed his orders.
