‘Charot’

Edwin Lacierda vs Joey Salgado

This is hilarious.

July 27- President Aquino delivered his 6th and last State- of- the- Nation- Address declaring his “Tuwid na Daan” a huge success . Just like in a TV show, he thanked a number of people including his clothes designer and hairdresser.

Those who were not able to see the President deliver the SONA can still enjoy the sidelights reading the transcript because it’s complete including the audience reactions. What was not included was the President’s coughing.

This is the best part: “Kay Paul Cabral, na laging sinisigurong maayos ang aking kasuotan, [palakpakan] tuloy akala nila mayroon akong fashion sense; at kay Cherry Reyes, na nag-aayos ng aking buhok [tawanan], at nagmimistulang economics practitioner dahil pinupunuan niya ang unlimited wants with very limited resources; [tawanan].

Aug. 3 – Vice President Jejomar Binay delivered what he termed the True-State-of the Nation Address or TSONA.

He belied the President’s claims of improved lives for the Filipinos and enumerated the failures of the Aquino administration:Luneta hostage crisis, the Zamboanga siege, Yolanda tragedy, and the Mamasapano massacre.
He criticized Aquino for not paying tribute to the 44 members of the Special Action Force who perished in the Mamasapano massacre “Apatnapu’t apat ang nagbuwis ng buhay at marami ang sugatan.

Aug. 5, in his press briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda mocked Binay: “Sadly the Vice President has been hitting everyone like a shotgun. It’s like his TSONA was ‘charot.’”
Ay , buking! Naglantad na.

Aug. 6, Joey Salgado, media affairs head of the Office of the Vice President answered Lacierda. Social media denizen Gerald Magno posted it on his Facebook wall:

Excerpt on the statement of Joey Salgado, head of OVP media affairs, on Secretary Lacierda’s description of the VP’s true sona as “charot”

Seryoso sila. Puñeta. Hahaha!”

The best is FB’s translation. Here:

” about, please, please call ” charot ” the true state of the nation address by Vice President, sorry po and I maalam with beki speak. But I’m on nagkonsulta marurunong and they answer: Imbey the fez by secretarush trulalu because the spluk by VP. But the zone, chaka president ever in the audience because trulalu pipol.”

“Hope me joke or satire. But not. Seriously. Puñeta. Hahaha!”

Philippine politics is so much fun.

We get the government we deserve….the reign of the incompetents…

Birds of the same feather flock together kay hindi mapapakulong si GMA.

And this is what a campaign should be…a week into a “very” long campaign (11 weeks) to the Oct 19 election, the First of the series of Leader debate was held yesterday, Aug the 6th…and instead of the paid mouthpieces or mercenaries or hired guns trying to outdraw one another, here the Leaders stand side by side and shoot at each others…caveat..this a 3 hours debate, but just take a little peek at it and check the beauty of face to face debates among the individuals who wanted to Rule…
