Bolante update

This is the latest from Harry Roque:

A status hearing was held yesterday, 20 September 2006 in Milwaukee on Bolante’s Habeas corpus petition. Bolantes lawyer insisted on a hearing, while the US OSG maintained that no hearing was necessary since the pleadings contain all relevant factual and legal issues. We are awaiting word on what happened to that hearing.

We have, however, been furnished copies of the latest pleadings consisting of the response of Condelizza Rice and the reply thereto of Bolante. The salient points are:

In Condi’s answer, she said that the detention of an arriving alien without a visa is a lawful basis for detention. Likewise, she asserted that Bolante is not entitled to bail as an arriving alien subject to exclusion proceeding.

In his reply, Bolante alleged jurisdcitional issues insisting that Rice and the other cabinet offcials being sued, and not just the warden of the Kenosha facility, could be impleaded. Noteworthy in the reply is confirmation that Bolante has indeed been denied bail since they attached a copy of the Immigration court ruling dated 13 September which says :”Respondent is an arriving alien and charged with inadmissibility under section 212 (a) (7) (A) (i) (I). Respondent’s bond motion does not present any argument about jurisdiction, it is well settled that this court does not have jurisdiction over bond for an arriving alien, see 8 CFR 1003.19 (h) (2)(i)(B)”

This order confirms my earlier report that the motion for Bail was DENIED and not merely “not tackled” as reported by an internet news organization last 14 September 2007.

My position remains the same: Bolante only has two options: voluntary deportation or incarceration. I will now add: Good for him!

  1. Good! Gloria has two recurring nightmares now:

    1) potential coup d’état
    2) Bolante singing a tune she hates

  2. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

Well! Well! At least, the Pilipinos are getting justice at last, somewhat, with the help of the USA. I would prefer Bolate remain incarcerated in USA forever, if it’s possible to the remaining of his useful life, how long would, matter not. What’s now important is that he’s in jail, since July 7, 2006, I believe, when he was picked up, held ever since behind bars, like a convicted criminal that he is. To my perspective, it’s worth a portion of the P728 million. However, it would be nice, very nice indeed, if this Bolate case would’ve have a more happy ending for the sake of the Philippines and justice. And why not!

  3. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

If I may add, we should give credit and well deserve thanks to Atty Harry Roque for staying in with this case and updating the Pilipinos. Illegitimate Gloria’s admin. supposedly a transparency govt, was nothing but a lie. And why am not surprised about illegitimate Gloria’s lying? In addition, as Atty Roque stated, “they will hunt Bolate wherever he goes to get justice.” Great!

  4. norpil norpil

hope there are still fishes there.

  5. Toney Cuevas Toney Cuevas

Yeah Anna we hope there are still fishes in Guimaras. Whatever, Bolate is done. A marked man with criminal records attached to his name. Thats justice.

  6. npongco npongco

The case and RP’s future lie on the hands of the Americans, whether you believe it or not. If Bolante’s case is tied to Nicole’s rape case and other unseen reasons favoring the US interest, Bolante might still get away. Incidentally, where does Atty. Roque get the money and funds to pursue Bolante in the US such as his traveling expenses and the other necessities? Out of his own pocket or funded by the Senate from Magsaysay’s Committee?

  7. Chabeli Chabeli

Not to meaning to be too cynical, it remains unclear to me why Atty. Roque is going the extra mile in the case of Bolante. For whatever reasons Atty. Roque may have in pursuing this case so “heroically,” nevertheless, he must be thanked for all his efforts. At least we are kept abreast with this case, as Gloria and her Legions are, true to form, gagging the TRUTH.
    ————————–
    Npongco,
What was whispered to me was that his travelling expenses are also provided by a certain Mr. Guanzon (a client of his). Would you know who this man is and what he does?

  8. I told you so. An alien conceived of being undesirable and refused entry to the US or any country for that matter cannot avail of bail because he is a RISK. Baka mag-TNT o magbilog as they are called in Japan.

Thank heavens that at least in the US the rule of law still prevails!!! Puede ba mahiya naman ang mga inutil na pati sa Amerika gustong dalhin ang corruption nila.

Of course, Americans like Condi Rice will not stake her good name and reputation for a criminal like Bolate and his accomplices. Pahiya siya. If he still insists on thinking that he can get away with the law in the US, e talagang malaki na ang sira ng ulo ni Bolate at mga kasabwat niya!

Gosh, at last, in a way, makakaganti na rin ang mga magsasakang ninakawan ng mga Bolate ng Malacanang!!! 😛

  9. Aha, now there, whatever Roque’s motive in pursuing this case, Filipinos should be grateful to him. Period. I was asked the same questions in fact when we were fighting for the properties in Japan not be sold by the crooks in the Philippine government and I was spending a fortune for it. What I said was I was being supported by Someone Very Powerful Up There! Roque definitely has the same patron even in giving him the courage and brain to do what he is doing now.

Arya, Atty. Roque! Some people may try to discourage you, but there are many who want you to go on, and do it good!!!! 3 cheers!!!

  10. Hey, Yuko, we’ve set up an association called ROPE for Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

(Right Of Punishment Eternal for Gloria Macapagal Arroyo!)

    I nominated:

Toney Cuevas (since he broached the Manila rope idea for hanging) for President
    Chabeli for 1st VP
    MRivera for 2nd VP

I nominated myself for sgt at arms…

  11. npongco npongco

Chabeli, I personally don’t know this Mr. Guanzon. I’m not sure if he’s related to the former broadcaster Bobby Guanzon. The one in the best position to answer your query is your friend from Nipon who seems to know everything.

  12. Chabeli Chabeli

    Npongco,
I still don’t know Mr. Guazon’s full name; that would help nga no? By the way, who’s my “friend from Nipon?”

  13. Chabeli Chabeli

    Anna de Brux,
If we could only find that perfect ROPE for GLORIA!

  14. Anna:

The position is accepted. Basta siguradong walang balimbing sa grupo. Me, I stick to my guns. Hindi ako umuurong!

  15. Ellen:

Iyong amba ng US nagsabi na ng “No deal” with Bolate!

  16. OK ! Yuko…

now if someone will only second the motion (par hindi masabi na di tayo democratic)… will be as good as well, a court martial jury.

We can now plot, and plot to our hearts’ content!

Kasama si Fatso, si Bolate at iba pa sa yeloow rope crusade!

(But Toney said, we might need a steel cable rope… I say not to worry, I will ask a friend who’s working as captain of a telecom underwater cabling ship to give us 3 to 4 meters long of steel cable for Gloria’s spouse, the First Fatso – we will tie him up with Bolate – back to back!)

  17. Chabeli Chabeli

    Anna de Brux,
Sige, I’ll join, too! Sounds like funnnnn!

  18. Manila hemp is brown not yellow. It is the best in the world as a matter of fact. They used to haul ships with thick Manila hemp ropes!

  19. I know it ain’t yellow but we will color it yellow – so we can sing “Tie a yellow rope, rope on the bully liit”… and hang her from the highest tree!

  20. Elvira Sahara Elvira Sahara

  21. Elvira Sahara Elvira Sahara

I missed something..Ako na lang ang taga-spread on the ground…

  22. I second the motion. Tapos na ang boxing. Walang kokontra. I declare the elections closed. If Elvira’s in charge of spreading the nails, may I request you to allow me to pull the ROPE. Kapag hindi puwede, I’d like to be the one to sprinkle salt on the wounds of those two.

  23. Ok!

“If Elvira’s in charge of spreading the nails, may I request you to allow me to pull the ROPE.”

So, Elvira, Schumey and me will be the 3 sgt at arms!

Schumey will tie Bolate and Fatso back to back with the yellow Manila hemp, Elvira will spread nails (on the ground, in case they’re so heavy when we hang them from the papaya trea and they fall) and I will help Schumey sprinkle salt and pepper on the lechons)…

    Ok! ROPE for Gloria!
Right Of Punishment Eternal for Gloria, Fatso and Bolate!

  24. Si Chabeli will pukpok sa ulo of the three with the help of Yuko, Toney Cuevas, Mrivera, sino pa?

  25. So now the Court Martial is convened!

Teka, teka sino ang Judge avocate?
And who will defend Gloria bansot, Fatso and Bolate?

  26. Norpil,

Will you agree to defend the three stooges before we hang them with the yellow Manila hemp from the highest lamp post?

Otherwise, we might be accused by the kampons of these three as being undemocratic!

  27. Schumey said in his blog:

“”Just like before, the struggle will no longer be political but will turn personal,”

    I totally agree!

Gloria is one vicndictive bansot! Everything for her is personal so we gotta play the same game.

The woman is vicious! Vicious than Marcos! Marcos didn’t have to prove anything so he just carried on but this woman has boulders of chips on her shoulder: she’s ugly, she’s fake, she’s a liar (nobody who is remotely decent believes anything she says and she knows it), she’s a thief and she knows it…

So, we must take everything she does or say personally too! Because if we don’t, she’ll have the upper hand.

She is really a vicious bansot!

  28. Diego K. Guerrero Diego K. Guerrero

A YELLOW ROPE FOR GLORIA? It might be coincidence, Mrs. Cory Aquino yellow protests movement led to the ouster of U.S.- Marcos Dictatorship in 1986. The recent Thai coup, armored vehicles and soldiers’ rifles bore ribbons of bright yellow as support of the King and ouster of Thaksin. A yellow rope for Gloria can be a symbol or protest action against tyranny and kleptocracy. Hang ‘me high with yellow ropes!

  29. That’s a great prediction Diego!

“A YELLOW ROPE FOR GLORIA? It might be coincidence, “

  30. Then everything is settled. Let’s ask the victims of the pandak’s abuses to form a panel to sit as judges. All repressed sectors must be represented in this tribunal.

  31. But Schumey,

Who’s gonna defend Gloria bansot and Fatso + Bolate?

We need a defender… This is a court martial and not a kangaroo court or Supreme Bansot Court!

  32. Elvira Sahara Elvira Sahara

Anna, I like your description of ate Glue: “She’s ugly, she’s fake, she’s a liar!” APTLY said, ika nga. Kon sa amon pa nga mga Ilonggo, “Law-ay na, tikalon pa, kawatan pa gid! Ay ambot gid iya kasi enjoy akong basahin ang mga comments ng mga bloggers mo, Ellen! Tapos, am learning a lot pa from them! Gute Nacht an alle! Bis Morgen!!!

  33. Let their actions defend them. For sure they’ll be convicted. But we must advise the aggrieved parties to let the sgt. at arms do their job. Then maybe we can let them all loose on our prisoners. We need not worry because there will be leftovers. We haven’t discussed yet what to do with her ass-lickers and her legions. Maybe (Si)Raulo Gonzelez can defend them all.

  34. luzviminda luzviminda

Diego, using a rope for protest action is a good idea. Dapat yung naka-loop na pambigti. They can use that in rallies. BITAYIN!!!!

And yeah. Harry Roque should be praised for what he is doing in the Bolante case in updating us on the matter. Whether he earns money or not.

  35. luzviminda,

All who oppose this immoral administration is welcome to join. You may have the honor of skinning them alive. And I promise to harvest an orchard of calamnsi just for this very special occassion.

  36. Seriously speaking, Anna, it will be good to form an International Criminal Tribunal for the Philippines like the one lawyers in Japan, the US, UK, India, Pakistan, etc. have established as preliminary tribunal for the crimes committed against humanity in Iraq by Bush, Blair, Koizumi, and yes, by the Ale Boba. ex-ICJ Judge Romy Capulong has in fact served as a prosecutor there because of the role of the Philippines in effecting this war.

One is now being prepared in fact to try the Boba, and stop her finally from her abuses together with the husband, the generals, and other people helping her in perpetrating these various crimes against the people of the Philippines, especially the more than 750 people she and her fellow “berdugo” has conveniently executed to stop them from preventing her ambition to be a queen even by proclaiming kinship with an ancient Manila chieftain, who ironically was more related to ex-ICJ Judge Capulong that is more factual than the said claim by the Boba who loves to lie even about her true origin together with the husband, the Fatso who wants to be called “Slim.” Iyan ang ilyusyon!

I’m definitely helping in the said movement in Japan for crimes such as the pimping of over 140,000 young Filipino boys and girls to the Japan, etc. between ages 13-17, and between 2001 and 2005, and the squandering of Japanese ODAs to the Philippines, including the 80M dollars promised when another accomplice of the Pidals, the great tuko, Joe De-Mentia, et al, and the JPEPA signed with Koizumi, etc., and now the attempt to raise funds from the sales, etc. of the five properties of the Philippines acquired as reparations payments from Japan. The movement is being mobilized by concerned membes of the Japanese bar associations, unions, etc. as the group that demonstrated in front of the Philippine Embassy in Japan last night.

I understand that they have formed similar groups in Europe. You, Elvirra, et al may join them if you please. Frankly, the clock against the Pidals and their fellow pimps, vagrants, et al has started to tick!

I don’t think she can escape from her legal, moral and other obligations for the atrocities being committed against the Filipino people by her and her cohorts not just between 2001 to now, but also before that. God willing, we will succeed.

To hell with these crooks and their accomplices, including their Internet Bloggers!

This time, hopefully, Filipinos will not allow anymore balimbing to get positioned after the removal of the Pidals!!! Lahat dapat makulong, sent for life to jail where they all belong!

  37. TongueInAnew TongueInAnew

Schumey: “We haven’t discussed yet what to do with her ass-lickers and her legions.”

May I suggest, tie them down across the Northrail tracks during its inaugural run, using the yellow rope of course. We will be the train’s first passengers.

  38. Paano ako?
Kahit taga-hila lang ng rope, ayos na sa akin 🙂

    Re:gloria’s cohorts?
The same punishment must be given them!
Aba naman! They, too, ate at her table, kaya dapat lang parehong punishment.

  39. myrna myrna

  40. Well, well Ellen, our ROPE for Gloria is gaining ground:

So, if I may recap (I nominated myself 1 of the sergeant at arms kasi), we are calling this association Right Of Punishment Eternal for Gloria bansot Macapagal-Arroyo for the following sins to the Filipino nation, so that we can tie her up with yellow Manila hemp and hang her from the highest lamp post or tree:

    1. for lying and breaking her word that she wouldn’t run for president
    2. for cheating in the elections when she said “Hello Garci, iyong dagdag, iyong dagdag, 1 million votes”
    3. for her singaw ng bayan initiative to change the charter and give free terms to her tongressmen
    4. for all the political killings, spate of abduction, wanton disregard for human rights to wit: 750 or so lives lost just because they oppose her
    5. for spending OWWA money intended for the OFWs which is stealing
    6. for the Jose Pidal accounts which her husband kept (and lying to boot, saying the Fatso didn’t know Jose Pidal): lying and thieving
    7. for the money they deposited in dubious bank accounts in Germany and for challenging Rep Cayetano to resign: abuse of power which isn’t hers by right
    8. for instructing Joc-Joc Bolante, the twin fatso of First Fatso, spouse to Gloria bansot to spend the money (750 million pesos or so) in a project called the fertilize scam, a daylight robbery committed agains the poor farmers of the country
    9. for lying to world leaders saying that she condemns the spate of judicial killings and it’s all pakitang tao
    10. for continuing to occupy and squat in Malacanang with her family of bastos, cheats, liars, thieves and spending the money of the people
    11. for robbing the Filipinos of their dignity and their honor by continuing to export Filipinos like cattle so that she could continue to prop up her economy with the 12 or 13 billion dollars or so they remit every year without any tangible improvement on the lives of the people
    12. for not divulging the contents of the Mayuga report and making fun of the voice of the people
    13. for corrupting the Armed Forces of the Philippines
    14. for corrupting the Supreme Court and the judiciary
    15. for blasphemy: when she said that God spoke to her to which Archbishop Cruz said, ” When you speak to God, that’s called prayer but when God talks to you back, that’s called schizophrenia!”

These are her 15 outstanding sins, in my opinion! You may all add some more of her sins.

For each sin, the members of this ROPE COURT MARTIAL will pronounce the appropriate sentence on Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, thief, liar, cheat and killer; she will be beaten by each of the members of the ROPE jury, then hanged appropriately from the highest lamp post for the whole world to see.

Before we apply the sentence, accused may address the ROPE COURT MARTIAL jury!

(If not, sige, itali na at dalhin na sa railroad track o ano pa man!)

  41. Emilio_OFW Emilio_OFW

    Teka… teka… sali din ako…!!!

Marami akong alam na tie-knots… which I learned and courtesy of Boy Scout of the Philippines

Itatali ko ang sinungaling na dila ni Pandak at kanyang mga kamay na mapangamkam…

  42. florry florry

I nominate Justice Anthony Scalia and Jun as the defenders of the Glue, Fatso and Bolate. The court is now in session.

  43. florry florry

It’s good to hear US Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenny assured the Philippines that there will be no trade-off between Bolate and the US servicemen accused of rape. That’s good news. One possibility in their favor is eliminated.

  44. alitaptap alitaptap

OK, halos complete na ROPE court. I will be the prosecutor and prosecute the 15 counts/charges as presented by Ana. Problem is who will be the defender a-la Ramsey Clark?

  45. Phil Cruz Phil Cruz

Ha Ha Hah! You guys are funny and crazy!!! I just love Filipino humor!

  46. Ramsey Clark was never a defender. He was a prosecutor. Presently, he is prosecuting Bush, Blair, Koizumi and Boba for the crimes against humanity in Iraq. I have great respect for this former Attorney-General.

I volunteer to be a prosecutor because I cannot defend the Boba, et al as I cannot pretend to be impartial. Nevah!

It reminds me of a member of the Japanese Amicus Curiae who was ironically a die-hard Bush critic being assigned as defender for Bush. Ironically, he was able to defend Bush, et al even on the basis of the evidences presented in the people’s court where the defendants were convicted in absentia! The actual trial will soon be held I believe in the Hague of these tribunal that was started in 2003 soon after the attack on Iraq.

May I suggest to Ellen to make a new blog for the Rope Tribunal?

  47. Elvirra,

You can act as paralegal. We need a lot of hands to provide the information, recommend the witnesses and verify the evidences. Since you are in Germany, your contribution will be most important because we know for a fact that there are some hocus-pocus being tried over there. Better seek police protection if you think you’re going to be in danger.

At least, over in Tokyo, I know I am safe because of my police and political connections aside from the fact that Japan is in fact still one of the safest places in the world.

    OK, let the trial begin.

  48. nelbar nelbar

    florry:

there was this message from Ambassador Kristie Kenney on the Thai Military and the Philippines caught on TV last night.

Can we now compare Nicholas Platt, Richard Armitage to Kristie Kenney?

  49. Elvira Sahara Elvira Sahara

Be patient, Ystakei! We’re silently moving here but surely, there would be good results coming. I can still claim that Germany, especially in the region where am based, Bavaria, is still one of the saafest place in the world. Policemen here aren’t beholden to any politician! So are the Bundeswehr. I don’t really need a police protection. Am surrounded by relatives in the Polizei and Bundeswehr!!! So, position as Paralegal on the sideline is accepted!

  50. Chabeli Chabeli

    Anna de Brux,
We should not only make “pukpok sa ulo…the three”! Yuko, Toney Cuevas, Mrivera et al SHOULD ALSO SLAP THE 3 STOOGES SILLY! Ha ha ha.

Please make a list of who does what, Anna de Brux, and who belongs to which group.

    Isn’t this funnnnnnn?

  51. norpil norpil

anna:as a lawyer, true to my unprofession, i am willing to accept to defend the stooges whoever they are, and whereever they are. my fee be quite high but i suppose they have a lot of money then i can try.i am against burning people in hell but i suppose it is ok here on earth.i am also accepting this obligation on promise that you will not take your dog in court.i am also afraid of policemen and or interpreters who can judge criminals on sight.i promise to interpellate only the witnesses who are for those who are charged.

  52. Aha!

Now the ROPE COURT MARTIAL for Gloria Macapagal can begin(remember she’s supposed to be “commander in chief”, hence the court martial)!

Gosh, you are brave Norpil to defend Gloria and her kampon ni satanas but bravo for taking the democratic path.

Anyway, we go to recap on who is doing what… heheh!

Chabeli, Yuko, Schumey, Mrivera and I will be the sgt at arms ba? I think we are in charge of making pukpok to Gloria on the ulo if she misbehaves…

Alitaptap is the prosecutor! Sige Alitaptap, use your poet’s cunning to outwit Gloria and her kampons ni satanas.

    Let the trial begin!

(Teka, teka, sino ang president or chairman of the court martial panel? Si Toney Cuevas ba?)

  53. There are those who asked where Atty. Harry Roque was getting funds for his trips to he U.S. in connection with the Bolante case.

    Here’s Harry’s answer:

I have been practicing law for the past 15 years even before my appointment in UP as law professor. Considering my education has been subsidized by taxpayers money since high school (I went to UP for High school, part of college and law School), the money which I have now been spending for what I believe is for the public good is nothing compared to the subsidy I have received from Juan de la cruz. Besides, I am the only one in my family who is still in the Philippines. I welcome of course every opportunity to go to the US to see my family, specially my mother who has not been well recently.

No one has been funding me. I’m beginning to feel though that perhaps, I should soon ask help from civil society.

  54. npongco npongco

Norpil, are you a lawyer? Are you still practicing? What do you specialize in? At least, we have someone here who has legal background. A court interpreter or criminal investigator doesn’t have all the knowledge to provide legal information in this blog. For instance, how could someone so stu…I refuse to continue the word…to state that US Permanent Residents could perform jury duties in US courts. Of course even if you’re not in the US, Norpil, you know that only US citizens can act as jurors.

  55. norpil norpil

sorry npongco, i am not a lawyer which is why i said i am true to my unprofession.i said this more of a joke and trying my grotesque sense of humor.as i have said before i am an engineer but i cannot say no to a lady even though i have not seen her yet, that is why i accept the position of a defender.

  56. norpil norpil

just to continue, to justify myself. though i am not a lawyer, i also have been many times in court due to interpreting though the payment here is not so high at that time which was at least 15 years ago.some years ago i was appointed as layman or jury on call.i donot know in the usa but in norway one must be a citizen and no previous records.the difference here is that the judge can overrule the jury unlike the ones i have seen in american films.my experience had been only on misuse of children and misuse of working regulations like getting jobless payment when in fact one is working.

  57. To insinuate that Atty. Roque is getting money for his effort, or that he is being used by anyone is an insult of the highest degree to the integrity of this man, to whom his people in fact should be grateful for what he has accomplished so far because in the US, at least, we see that there still is a rule of law, and that regardless of any attempt to do a Gloria (meaning graft and corruption Pidal-style), we have seen how the truth and justice prevail.

It is actually just a matter of knowing the applicable articles of the law to try to stop any attempt at circumventing the law, especially by one who simply has to agree to be deported as the law requires and provides. The A to A procedure in fact is better than having the word “DEPORTED” stamped on one’s passport although I suppose the word “CANCELLED” had been imprinted on Bolate’s passport over his B1/B2 visa.

It was actually what we have tried to do here. Right Ellen? Look for the applicable law and see how feasible the claims of Bolate would be. I give you five, Ellen! I give fellow UPian, Atty. Roque, too!!! 3 cheers!

May his tribe increase! And yours, too, Ellen. My friends and I are having a celebration on this as a matter of fact when we hear of what Bolate prefers to have done to him—be deported or sent to jail. Whichever, kung may hiya ang taong iyan, puede na siyang magbigti!

  58. Schumey,

The tribunal has to have only three judges. The victims of the abuses may do well as witnesses. We cannot have a prejudiced panel of judges. It is conflict of interest if indeed we want to be fair.

  59. florry florry

To question the source of funds of Atty Roque is beside the point. We know that it is not coming from the evil couple. What matters is he is doing it for the Filipino people, and whoever is patron or patrons, we know that they are for truth and justice.

  60. For Bolate to agree to being incarcerated that long even as a detainee is showing enough of what kind of crook sans any decency this person is. Biro mo iyong makulong ka and be treated like a true criminal and possible enemy of the state! Gosh, walanghiya na talaga ang taong ito—like his amo!

  61. Florry:

Atty. Roque has already emphatically stated that he is not getting any renumeration for his effort that in fact is what majority of Filipinos should be doing or wanting to do by all means. I believe him. I know he is capable of doing just what he has already stated as he is moved by his love for his country and people even against all odds.

I, for one, have spent thousands and even millions of yen in my advocacies for Filipinos in Japan. My group for instance is privileged to get fundings from the Japanese government after I registered our group officially as an NPO. But aware of the greedy people who want to take advantage of such funding, I am not getting such fund but teach my members to raise the needed revolving by some other more creative ways!

To Atty. Roque, thank you for all that you have accomplished so far. Next will be the finale that will prove if indeed the Filipinos can be saved and deserved to be saved from a maldita na kire pa spoiled brat!

  62. florry florry

    Nelbar.
Sorry I can not answer your question. I was not able to catch Amb Kenny’s message on TV last night.

    Yuko,
You’re right, I just read Atty Roque’s statement posted by Ellen.

  64. The only division I observe in fact is the division between the bloggers, who deserve to be blogging here, and the detractor or detractors posing as pro-GMA, anti-GMA and in between.

I know one that I have encountered in some e-forums and wonder if this guy is a woman or a man for he/she can blog in both female and male names, and then quarrel with himself! It’s easy to detect these entities as a matter of fact even when they blog in as anti-GMA compared to the real Macoys, who cannot be bent and stick to their guns.

Unfortunately, a lot of them cannot even get into the blog most of the time especially when it is occupied by these Internet Brigade who try to give the impression that the the struggle is over and everyone may just as well give up!

Thanks to the likes of Atty. Roque. What he did is more than enough. It proves that number is not important, and even a lonely person can do a miracle if he is right and knows what he is doing!!!

Hep, hep hurrah! 3 Cheers to Atty. Roque!

  65. Armitage, Nelbar, has admitted he lied. Now, it is up to the American people to demand for his taking legal responsibility for his action that led to the sufferings, useless deaths and killings of Afghans and Iraqis, especially the latter.

  66. Whew! Elvirra, OK ka. I believe you because a lot many things German have actually been incorporated in the Japanese system especially in the field of medicine and engineering.

Our police, though, is patterned after that of the Scotland Yard, and has been since the late 19th century when the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (Keishicho) was organized.

Like your police in Germany, ours is also independent of even the military, which is a separate entity not beholden to the elected politicians. Dapat ganyan sa Pilipinas. Don’t know what happened, but it was not so when we were still in the Philippines.

We actually left in the 60’s, and a lot many things have happened since then, regrettably not for the better but for the worst as it seems!!!

  67. npongco npongco

Is there difference between the Germans and the Japanese? Hmmm…they were buddies last World War. What’s the big deal in using them as examples? As for who the pro or anti-GMA bloggers here, I know I’m anti-GMA. Whoever has the suspicious mind, let this person investigate and catch the enemies here. Paranoid…all bla bla…empty accusation!

  68. norpil norpil

i do’nt think one can say that the japanese system in the field of engineering is patterned after the germans, may be some fields but not in general.i am a member of the international asso of bridge and structural engineers and i have not heard of this.just recently in a symposium in budapest where some talk about standards in japan, to me it looks like more american than german.
npongco, this is one thing i noticed here also that some or one if you may,is not satisfied even if you say you are anti gma.sorry if i am a bit out of order here but it seems to me one must agree with them all the time.i thought this is only in totalitarian regimes.

ystakei, not it only seems. it is.

To insinuate that Atty. Roque is getting money for his effort, or that he is being used by anyone is an insult of the highest degree to the integrity of this man, to whom his people in fact should be grateful for what he has accomplished so far because in the US, at least, we see that there still is a rule of law, and that regardless of any attempt to do a Gloria (meaning graft and corruption Pidal-style), we have seen how the truth and justice prevail.

ystakei, ang mang-iintriga lang naman kung sakaling meron dito ay yung mga taong nakikisaya sa pandarambong ng pamilya maligno. yung mga taong ayaw amining bulag sila sa mga katiwalian ng bulok na administrasyon.

  71. Norpil,

I think “it seems to me one must agree with them all the time.” is stretching it.

  72. norpil norpil

anna, sorry again, you could be a good policewoman here.

  73. npongco npongco

Norpil, we have actually two good policewomen but one is a fake who only knows how to bla-bla and feeds wrong information to unsuspecting readers. Yea, it’s unfair to accuse of Atty. Roque of being bribed to pursue Bolante’s case. It’s even worse to suspect that he’s a mole from Malacanang pretending to be against Bolante but in reality secretly helping him in the US. Nevertheless, can we blame people these days for being suspicious of our officials in the country be they advocates like Roque? No. Whoever would have imagined that Senator Angara was a traitor and a Palace spy in the opposition? Who would have expected those witnesses to jump to the administration side? Who would have thought that this Senator Miriam Santiago with her level of position would be kissing and licking GMA’s ass these days? Who would have expected Imee Marcos defending Kris Aquino? The Marcos and Aquino families are mortal enemies. We can’t be sure these days. We just have to keep our guard real close.

anna, are you a policewoman?you seem to be so well informed and npongco was saying in his blog that we must keep our guard real close though i took it that he meant it for people living in the pinas.
npongco:ty for your as always down to earth questions and statements.i might change from the unsuspicious to the most suspicious character here.but strangely enough, i am beginning to like even the suspicious ones after understanding their background.i came lately and accidentally in this blog so i do not mind if others become suspicious.i was inspired by an article of minguita padilla in a newspaper so i took a google on her which led me to ellen’s blog.
soleil:it is actually nothing to thank but you are welcome and donot hesitate to ask again.

Marinduque execs seek help for oil sludge -—–inq7.net

Last updated 03:40am (Mla time) 09/24/2006

Published on page A13 of the September 24, 2006 issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer

BOAC, MARINDUQUE—A provincial board member of the province is set to file a resolution this week for the provincial government, through the office of Gov. Carmencita Reyes, to request assistance from the national government to mitigate the impact of the oil sludge that has affected 15 coastal barangays of the province.

Board member Alan Nepomuceno, committee on public order and safety chair, also expressed optimism that the investigating body, led by the provincial government and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, would soon be able to pinpoint the culprit.

“Whoever caused this incident has to answer for the consequence,” said Nepomuceno.

The office of Rep. Edmundo Reyes, lone representative of the province, is currently seeking financial assistance from the National Disaster Coordinating Council of the Office of Civil Defense to help affected fishermen.

The fishermen’s fish catch has dwindled since last week and has greatly affected the villagers’ only livelihood.

Mystery ship suspected of dumping bunker oil -—–ABS-CBN News

A still unidentified ship that anchored near a Marinduque port four days ago is now suspected of having dumped used oil in the waters of the province after “oil sheen” was found floating in the area Sunday morning.

Residents of coastal barangays in Marinduque discovered the “oil sheen,” describing it as film-like and glossy.

This prompted provincial authorities led by the Philippine Coast Guard in the region to conduct a cleanup.

Vicente Paragas, regional executive director of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, said the said ship sighted 12 miles from Laylay Port in Barangay Boac, Marinduque, may have been the source of the used oil.

“Our initial information is that the ship docked 12 miles from the Laylay Port from September 14 to 16. And then when they left, the oil sheen was already there floating,” Paragas said.

Authorities took samples to determine what kind of oil was dumped, suspecting it to be bunker fuel.

“We still could not determine the volume of the oil sheen, but the cleanup has been done,” he said.

Paragas said the “oil sheen” affected 12 barangays in the island, including Maligaya and Kawit.

Mayor Meynard Solomon of Boac said he asked the Coast Guard to search for records of the unidentified ship.

Chemical spilled into Bauan sea -—–ABS-CBN News

Some 400 liters of a chemical used to manufacture vinyl products spilled into the sea off Bauan, Batangas Saturday morning, ABS-CBN News reported Sunday.

Police Officer 2 Eliseo Dolor said the chemical was accidentally dumped into the waters off the coast of Barangay San Miguel, which is near the Batangas Bay Terminal Incorporated.

Dolor said the accident occurred while the tanker Ginga Falcon was transferring the chemical to another vessel owned by Mabuhay Vinyl Inc. An initial reports said the mechanical hose used to transfer the chemical was connected to the wrong pipe of the Mabuhay vessel.

Ginga Falcon was carrying 4,000 metric tons of caustic soda, Dolor added.

The municipal health office in Bauan has yet to determine the negative effects of the chemical spill on the health of residents and marine life.

No casualities were reported as of posting time. Officials were also uncertain on the extent of ecological damage.
