Something happened on the way to Trillanes hearing

Yesterday, the Agence France Presse photographer and I were waiting for the elevator at the Makati City Hall at 9 a.m. (we were already fidgety because we wanted to be there early) for the hearing on the petition for media access of Lt(sg) Antonio Trillanes IV, Genuine Opposition senatorial candidate, when Trillanes came with his military escorts.

He was not handcuffed. (But after the hearing, on his way back to the military vehicle, he was again handcuffed to his escort.)

For a moment, everybody was stunned seeing Trillanes there. The photographer started clicking his camera. One woman took the courage and kissed him. Everybody got excited as they greeted him, “Idol! Idol!” and “Senator”.

We all got in to the almost- filled elevator. The problem was, the elevator got overloaded and it wouldn’t close. Two reluctantly volunteered to stay behind. Still overloaded. Someone told the photographer to get off. Off course, he refused. I had to get out so they could go up.

Malaya’s Ashzel Hachero has the report on what happened to our petition for media access to Trillanes again. Hopefully by Tuesday, we would again be allowed to interview him.

Judge Oscar Pimentel allowed the media to interview Trillanes after the hearing since we were all there anyway. But it took time for us to do that because by that time, word spread around that Trillanes was at Judge Pimentel’s sala at the 14th floor and so many people rushed there with their cellphone cameras. Trillanes graciously accommodated them and had his pictures taken with them. We saw employees excitedly showing off their pictures with Trilanes to others. That’s the Trillanes phenomenon.

Ashzel’s report: Trillanes warns of backlash if cheats don’t stop

Genuine Opposition candidate Antonio Trillanes IV yesterday warned of a backlash against the Arroyo administration if it does nothing to stop cheating in the election.

“They can try to cheat. They can misunderstand the people’s will as they have done in the past but this time they are proven wrong and if they insist, they risk losing their power altogether,” he said. (click here for full report)

There seems to be trouble in Malaya’s website. Here GMA-7’s acount of yesterday’s hearing:

Trillanes: Arroyo faces ouster if vote is rigged
05/25/2007 | 06:49 PM

Genuine Opposition senatorial candidate Antonio Trillanes said Friday President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo could face fresh ouster moves if the results of senatorial elections would be rigged in favor of administration bets.

“They can try to cheat. They can misunderstand the people’s will as they have done in the past. But this time, they are proven wrong and if they insist they can risk losing their power altogether,” Trillanes said.

Trillanes is currently detained after the government slapped him with coup charges before a Makati court.

He said he is confident he will win in the senatorial race even if the alleged election fraud-ridden Maguindanao votes are counted.

Trillanes said his group’s own survey showed that he is winning by a margin of 500,000 votes against the 12th and 13th placer in the senatorial race.

Latest result of the National Movement for Free Election’s quick count showed Trillanes landing in the 11th place with 7,448,411 votes. Another GO candidate Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel occupied the 12th spot with 7,438,035 votes.

Trillanes thanked the rank and file members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for supporting him and voting for him in the Local Absentee Voting despite the order of the military hierarchy to support all the administration candidates.

“We believe, based on the information provided by our supporters that I placed number three in the absentee voting in the Armed Forces. It only signifies that the AFP leadership has no mandate and has lost touch with the rank and file or the rank and file believe they have no moral leadership to lead the military,” Trillanes said.

Trillanes also asked the public to guard their votes and make sure that the 2004 election fraud will not happen anymore.

“First of all I would like to thank my supporters and those who believe in our cause. This is their victory and I am happy that the people have finally spoken their voice. We will achieve election victory but we should not let our guard down. We can and we should never underestimate what these people are capable of doing,” Trillanes said.

Trillanes said the reported 12-0 in Maguindanao is just an indication that the administration is back to its old way of perpetrating itself in power.

“The reported 12-0 win of the administration in Maguindanao shows how these people disrespect the people’s will,” Trillanes said. – GMANews.TV

David vs. Goliath! The truth will set you free! Many are praying for you.

  2. “They can try to cheat. They can misunderstand the people’s will as they have done in the past but this time they are proven wrong and if they insist, they risk losing their power altogether,” he said.

That’s not a warning; it’s a threat and I would support him if and when it happens – Malacanang and company refusing to understand the people’s will – he launches a full scale attack at the palace with all the firepower to bring down the pidal couple and their acolytes. Nothing more, nothing less.

  3. Ellen, that’s so funny.. You’d think that Trillanes was Brad Pitt or somethin’..

Anyway, Lanao Del Sur is ground zero today, and even though the GMA troops are in place, so are the election watchdogs. NAMFREL, PPCRV, LENTE, KONTRA DAYA, et. al…

Right now, let’s pray for the safety of all the citizen groups as well as the legally mandated watchdog, NAMFREL…

Trillanes is definitely paying close attention to Lanao, as is many Filipinos, including myself.

  4. Ellen:

Please tell Sonny, ready kaming lahat na supporters niya to back him up when they try to cheat him out of the Magic 12. Handa na nga ang press release namin just in case.

We plan to call a press conference just in case and you bet your bottom dollar Japanese media will be interested. My husband was actually telling me about the radio broadcasts, etc. on this phenomenon called “Trillanes”! Even the Japanese are using this word “phenomenon” for him. I guess he will have fans in Japan likewise for his courage, patriotism, etc. Lalong maiinggit si Pandak na inggitera!

I love this guy really. He inspires a lot of us to remember in fact of that burning feeling we have for the land of our birth regardless of whether or not we have remained as citizens of the Philippines. May God bless him!

  5. luzviminda luzviminda

Malaki ang takot ni Gloria at mga corrupt military headed by Esperon, Angelo Reyes et al, dahil Trillanes will expose the ‘Greenbase’ document. Once Trillanes is in the Senate, he will have immunity to give the details and background of this act of treason. And assasination is the only way to silence him.
    MAG-INGAT KA, AMING BAYANI!!!

  6. Ashzel’s report:Trillanes said being in detention is no hindrance in his bid to serve in the Senate.

“I can craft my legislation in detention and nothing can stop me from doing that. Physical barriers will not stop me from doing my job as a senator,” he said.
    *****

I believe Trillanes. He will and can do anything as he says. He has proven it a lot of times even at the peril of his life and all.

He is patriotism, determination, perseverance, courage, etc. all rolled into one.

  7. Yuko, the bureau chief of Asahi Shimbun , Aya Kimura, was there because she is doing an article on Trillanes and she was amused by what she saw. She saw everybody wanting to take pictures with Trillanes inside the court room and she said, “We don’t see this in Japan.” Asahi Shimbun is one of the signatories of the petition for media access to Trillanes.

  8. The game is over largely to the fact that this administration tried to keep Trillanes and others out of the magic twelve – what are their options now because they are limited to two, accept the true results or face a revolution of the people.
This administration can only blame itself and has at last gone into self destruction – TU candidates have become quiet and in their hearts know whatever their Evil Boss does the bottom line will be goodbye Schizoglo – goodbye TU candidacy because her stealing, cheating, lying and muderous ways has destroyed her and so many others.
The lesson for any and all our leaders should be, listen to the people at all levels and understand and ahare their concerns – if your honest people will follow you even when times are rough – become a thief, a liar, a murderer then eventually you will destroy your own credibility and yourself.
I would like to ask Gloria one question, that is, when she was seen to be in prayer before each cabinet meeting in front of the television cameras, WHAT was she praying for?.

  9. WHAT was she praying for?.

She probably wansn’t praying at all; she probably was adding up the potential income of the day, i.e., the hordes of cash that Jose Pidal was going to bring home that day from the Customs, from the lagays, etc.

  10. chi chi

The more articles written by foreign journalists, the better for Trillanes.

If there’s a bit of shame left in Blinky and Abaloslos, they would think twice before they manipulate his votes. I maybe just wishing, but hey…Trillanes is already a phenomenon that EK can’t just stop!

  11. chi chi

Kasi naman, Blinky is so used to men without balls!

  12. BTW, what is EK?

  13. Ellen:

Sabi ko sa kaniya, I’ll give him an exclusive when we hear of Trillanes being cheated out by Abaloslos and Company.

I have actually a mind to invite Trillanes to Japan when he is able to get out of detention (not prison because he is not convicted yet) with his supporters in the majority demanding for his release so he can serve the Filipino people, and especially considering the fact that the mutiny that he led was definitely JUSTIFIABLE! It was a mutiny against a wannabe criminal acting then as president!!!

Thanks, Ellen, always for keeping us updated. Sure do appreciate the inspiration to fight and be brave! Salamat!

  14. Ellen: she said, “We don’t see this in Japan.”
    *****

You bet! Bawal ang picture taking sa court dito without proper permit. Even cellphones are not allowed especially with those equipped with digital cameras. They are confiscated here, and definitely no picture with an accused.
Kaniya-kaniya sistema although in the Philippines, it sucks!!!

Will watch for Kimura-san’s article in the Asahi Shimbun.

  15. Chi:

It’s good publicity for Sonny Trillanes all these BS that Esperon and Pandak are ordering people to do. Dito kasi bawal!

  16. Sabi ko na lang kasi maraming hindi naman totoo ang bintang, and it is OK since the country is now run by criminals!

  17. Excerpts from the post-election statement of Laban ng Masa headed former UP President Francisco “Dodong” Nemenzo:

Notwithstanding the violence, disorder and fraud, the last elections may yet prove a historic event for producing a non-trapo senator and more significantly, a rallying symbol for change.

Confined to his prison cell, Capt. Antonio Trillanes was denied the freedom to campaign. But all over the country people – especially the youth – took up the cudgels for him.

The Joker maligned him as “the poster boy of rebellion.” His involvement in the Oakwood mutiny was the only issue Team Unity could raise against him. Thus, his spectacular performance in the elections shows that the people are not averse to extra-constitutional action as the ultimate means to oust an illegitimate, corrupt and repressive regime.

By refusing to apologize for Oakwood, trillanes turned the elections into a referendum on the myth of the politically neutral army. By calling for fundamental reforms, he articulated the people’s will.

  18. Nemenzo said Trillanes got more votes than Angara in the UP precincts.

  19. xanadu xanadu

    Ma’m Ellen

I was so excited with your story about being stunned in meeting with Sen. Trillanes and so as everybody in the blog. Prof. Nemenzo by saying Sen. Trillanes is a rallying symbol for change, we could not disagree.

But what what really caught my attention in your entry is your: “I had to get out so they could go up”.

  20. chi chi

Blinky Tianak can’t frustrate us this time. Magbabayad siya ng malaki that she won’t forget!

At gaya nga ng sinasabi natin dito sa Ellenville, HOPE makes all the difference.

  21. Yes, Xanadu. I know as a journalist, it was a no-no. I should be close to my subject so that in case anything happens I could be an eyewitness.

But the elevator could not close and move. Someone had to give way. So I decided to take the next elevator.

It’s a good thing nothing happened to Trillanes in that elevator ride . We have to remember “Oplan Alan”. It could still be implemented, heaven forbid.

When I got out of the elevator, someone asked me, “Did that photographer have to be there?” Apparently, she resented that the phtographer didn’t get out. I said “Yes”.

Later, at the courtroom, the photographer was telling me that nobody could make him get out of that elevator. He is right.

    Ellen,

“Sabi ko na lang kasi maraming hindi naman totoo ang bintang, and it is OK since the country is now run by criminals!”

Funny but so very true, Yuko.
Onli in da Pilipins!

  24. chi chi

The very first thing that caught my attention about Trillanes was that he refused to apologize for Oakwood.

If it was not Trillanes in the elevator, baka nakipag-unahan pa na lumabas ng elevator ang photographer. With Trillanes magic, this kind of incident may happen more often.

Seriously, I think that the fake leadership doesn’t know yet what to do about Trillanes because they are now fully aware of the would-be consequencies if they switch on Gloria’s cheating machine full speed against this “phenomenon”.

  26. xanadu xanadu

    Ma’m Ellen

Allow me to go a little further. I find your little act of kindness in that elevator incident something like a genuine humility. It’s a real life situation where everybody wants to get ahead so desperately resulting to chaos and unnecessary delay. But those who quietly and consistently perform are the ones who stand out from the crowd. In that instance, you taught us that the way to stand out is not by planting your feet and wait for others to get out. You taught us that the way to stand out is by generously and sincerely leading others forward and just exactly like you did, get out of the crowded elevator. You may have lost your subject for some moments, but it was not a setback for it could be considered your shining moment.

  27. Elvira Sahara Elvira Sahara

You bet, Chi. They have to think a thousand times before making any suicidal move! Slowly, it’s becoming true for Gloria: Am gonna start digging my grave! Tarat, tarat..boom!
Am sure Trillanes himself must have realized how important he is now to the people! Truly, we need somebody who ‘s bold enough to tell Gloria…Eku tatakot!

  28. chi chi

    Elvie,

If Trillanes was a stock, I’ll bet all my money on him as my only long position. Panalo ako sigurado! Ganyan ang tiwala ko sa kanyang kakayahan!

  29. Elvira Sahara Elvira Sahara

    Chi:
Bilib ako sa tiwala mo kay Trillanes; same goes with Yuko! Count me IN too! Kahit na ‘ala akong pambili ng stock, mapipilitan akong mangutang just to own a share!
Kaya..continue with our LABAN sa pekeng Blinky blinky!!!

  30. Chabeli Chabeli

With the millions of votes that Trillanes got, it must make the Ass green w/ envy ! Apparently, the Ass has become like Gloria & her Dogs. Irrelevant.

  31. The cheating has become more brazen, callous and open. It appears that Malacañang is determined to rig the results to put some TU candidates in the magic 12. Both Trillanes and Pimentel run the great risk of losing their spots if the dagdag bawas machinery of the administration succeeds.

Gloria Arroyo and her ilk have really lost whatever is left of their moral values. Nakakasuka na talaga.

  32. Thanks, Xanadu.

Chi, the photographer was a real professional. His presence there was also a protection for Trillanes.

  33. parasabayan parasabayan

Trillanes is really a phenomenon! He is consistently principled and everyone knows it. The youth sees hope in him. His rare media appearance is also contributory to his popularity. Who would not be excited to see the “phenomenon”?

Ellen, your gesture at the elevator shows your values. You know how to give way to other people. It is rare to find this trait in people where winning is almost always the name of the game.

  34. ocayvalle ocayvalle

trillanes is the symbol of injustices of this illegal administration of GMA..how corrupt GMA and her cabals just to stay illegaly in power!! let trillanes be our guiding light to unite and oust GMA,FG and all her evil minions!! God bless the philippines!! God bless the filipino people!!

  35. cocoy cocoy

Kailangan bantayan siyang maigi dahil baka sasabihin ni Esperon pag nawala si Trillanes sa kulungan ay “The troublemakers stole Trillanes in jail while the soldiers are not looking”

  36. “Thus, his spectacular performance in the elections shows that the people are not averse to extra-constitutional action as the ultimate means to oust an illegitimate, corrupt and repressive regime.”

This is the biggest message of the recent polls- and it took a Trillanes to bring it out. Who would have admitted back then, that while we were watching the Oakwood saga on ANC, we were secretly praying in our hearts that Trillanes, et. al. would suceed?

Being killed by your own bullets coming out of your own guns whose triggers are pulled by your own enemies? This should have enraged the real patriots in us even without the “Hello Garci” lapse in judgment.

“Hello Garci” came along about two years later- still, we did not find enough reason to be outraged.

Bodies upon bodies were piling up, people are getting abducted, the President’s men even tried raping the Constitution, all in the name of this government’s survival, and we can still afford to smile?

Trillanes’ strong showing may be an indication of a collective outrage. I hope, this outrage takes us farther.

  37. Trillanes is no Ninoy. He is one of a kind. Wala siyang binastos. Walang ganyan si Ninoy as a matter of fact. Bayani? I see Trillanes as the real macoy!

  38. chi chi

Thanks ng marami doon sa photographer who din’t want to surrender his elevator space to anyone. As a photo journalist, he’s a real pro knowing his subject’s importance in today’s event. Cheers to you, Mr. photographer!

At thank you rin kay Ellen who is always sensitive/aware and alert to the needs of everyone (within her distance/sight in this instance). You are a professional journalist with a heart in the right place, Ellen.

  39. You bet, Ellen, the photographer there was protection enough for Trillanes lalo na kung kilala naman ang photographer na iyon. Pero tama ka, the crooks could have done something like what they did to JayJay Burgos to Trillanes, but I guess they just cannot risk having Trillanes identify them crooks in the AFP.

  40. chi chi

Trillanes is already a winner! His vision of the country is practical and attainable, not a moonlike one; he foresaw extreme corruption by this fake administration, thus one goal of the Oakwood; he’s standing by for what he believes is right and did something by running courageously against this evil regime of Blinkly Tianak. If that is not winning, what is?

Yes, Chabeli, inggit na inggit si Blinky. And yes, Yuko, naiiba si Trillanes!

Trillianes is the true epithome of a real soldier.

In 2004 presidential elections, it’s almost the same political ad paraded by Gloria Macagarapal Arroyo: GMA is Philippines’ last best hope!

Nasa diyaryo ngayon, itong si Sergio Apostol, with his mouth frouthing with saliva, warned: “He (Trillanes) has really become abusive. He wants to stage a coup d’ etat. It is good for us that he is behind bars”.

60. Gina de Venecia also texted me last week, “Ellen, huwag ka na mainis kay Joe. He is a good man.”

She must be referring to the comments of Skip under the May 15, 2007 post “O ano na ngayon” which I used in my May 16 column in Malaya.

This blog is carefully monitored. Panay ang babala ng provider ko kahapon at kagabi hanggang kaninang umaga kasi nga we are cooperating in a study for the implementation of the Internet Law of Japan.

    Hi Ellen,

Thanks for the bottled water and sandwich. Thanks too for making sure I went home with the Cayetano and Trillanes masks. They were as big a hit with my kids as they were with the rallyists.

Young as they are, I am proud that these kids of mine already realize that Gloria and her ilk are NOT good role models. In fact, while we were watching a news clip on the massive poll fraud on ANC last night, my middle kid suddenly piped in “So Daddy, why don’t they arrest Gloria? E ang daya daya naman nyan.”

I have a feeling my son is not the only one with such questions.

Take heed, all you who are taking part in the bastardization of this electoral process — an entire generation of Filipinos is growing up, the very same generation who will eventually write the history books.

And they will not be kind to you.

Trillanes’ strong showing may be an indication of a collective outrage. I hope, this outrage takes us farther.” – Ka Enchong

    IT WILL. SOON.

The swagger is still there. But there is no denying that this administration has taken a big hit and is walking wounded. During the rally, I had the chance to ask an old friend Rep. Teddy Casino the likelihood that another impeachment would finally succeed. He told me that Gloria should not overly feel confident yet, as realpolitik would make sure realignments happen. I told him that they owe it to the people to die trying to get this cheat out of office.

Boy, she is indeed scared. The more people talk about her corrupt administration, the closer she gets to being booted out. And in this fight, Ellen’s blog has been very very instrumental.

That’s why I wouldn’t put it past Gloria to resort to all means to bring down this blog, which already has become a symbol of freedom to many people.

I believe it’s called DENIAL Of SERVICE (DoS).
    The wikipedia entry partly goes:

    Manifestions:
The United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team defines symptoms of DoS attacks to include:

unusually slow network performance (opening files or accessing web sites)
unavailability of a particular web site
inability to access any web site
dramatic increase in the number of spam emails received[3]
Not all service outages, even those that result from malicious activity, are necessarily denial-of-service attacks. Other methods of attack may include a denial of service as one component of a larger offensive.

DoS attacks can also lead to problems in the network ‘branches’ around the actual computer being attacked. For example, the bandwidth of a router between the Internet and a LAN may be consumed by a DoS, compromising not only the intended computer, but also the entire network.

If the DoS is conducted on a sufficiently large scale, entire geographical swathes of Internet connectivity can also be compromised by incorrectly configured or flimsy network infrastructure equipment without the attacker’s knowledge or intent.

    ——————————————————-

    Methods of attack
A “denial-of-service” attack is characterized by an explicit attempt by attackers to prevent legitimate users of a service from using that service. Examples include:
    flooding a network, thereby preventing legitimate network traffic; disrupting a server by sending more requests than it can possibly handle, thereby preventing access to a service;
    preventing a particular individual from accessing a service;
disrupting service to a specific system or person.
Attacks can be directed at any network device, including attacks on routing devices and Web, electronic mail, or Domain Name System servers.

A DoS attack can be perpetrated in a number of ways. There are three basic types of attack:

    consumption of computational resources, such as bandwidth, disk space, or CPU time;
    disruption of configuration information, such as routing information;
    disruption of physical network components.
A DoS attack may include execution of malware intended to:

    max out the CPU’s usage, preventing any work from occurring;
    trigger errors in the microcode of the machine;
    trigger errors in the sequencing of instructions, so as to force the computer into an unstable state or lock-up;
    exploits errors in the operating system to cause resource starvation and/or thrashing, i.e. to use up all available facilities so no real work can be accomplished;
    crash the operating system itself.
Malware commonly employed in such attacks includes Stacheldraht[citation needed], Tribe Flood Network[citation needed] and Trinoo[citation needed].

    —————————————————–

It’s undeniable — Gloria is in denial.

  65. Skip,

Thanks for the info. You clarified a few things for me now – I ain’t a comp savvy at all but this info helps.

The people of the Philippines should return Gloria the favor, deny her of their service. Of course, this is a long haul but heck, Ghandi didn’t use arms, but he won the ‘revolution.’

  66. Thanks, Skip. That’s very useful.

    Ellen,

Your admin could confirm if this is indeed the case. I just
don’t know whether he’d be equipped to combat any DoS attacks. There haven’t been many local sites who have fallen victims to such attacks yet.

This is a testament to how influential your blog has become. Pilit binubuwag ng mga lapastangan. Mabuhay ka, Ellen Tordesillas!

    Anna,

Nice suggestion. Civil disobedience has always been a potent weapon against tyranny. It worked in Gandhi’s India. It worked in Cory’s 1986 Philippines. It should work just as fine now.

  68. chi chi

The only problem with starting civil disobedience is the MBC. Mukhang ayaw pang makisama ng mga siguristas and up now are suppportive of Blinky Glue!

    Chi,

In the heady days of 1986, I remember my Dad forbidding me to spend my allowance on Coke or any other SMC product, just to show Marcos and his cronies that their time was up. It didn’t happen overnight but yes, that simple act of boycotting an “evil” product helped raise the collective awareness, and had done its bit in kicking Marcos out.

We can do it again. It’s easy to identify companies who have sold their soul to the Devil.

Even the MBC will bend to the will of the people.

  70. Skip,

Oh yes, oh yes! Big business will react when they see the tide of public fury has an impact on their businesses.

They will be the first to say, “Let go, Glo!”

That was what eventually killed Erap. When Zobel de Ayala withdrew his support from Erap, his goose was cooked!

  71. skip skip

    Anna,

The people are pissed, no doubt. But I cannot help but detect a desultoriness in that outrage. The almost daily expose of poll fraud has not so much produced an indignant public but an increasingly jaded one. And the longer this drags, the more it works to Gloria’s advantage.

I’m afraid that a really dramatic event has to happen soon to spark the tinderbox of public opinion into mass actions.
I blame this directionless rage to the Pinoys predilection for things melodramatic.

Somehow, we cannot act on things on a purely intellectial level. We need a jab in the gut to get out into the streets. In 1986, it was the walkout of the vote tabulators. In 2001, it was the walkout of the senator-judges.

What’s it going to be this time?

  72. You are right, Skip. Parang people are drained.

  73. skip skip

Kailangan talaga may mangyari soon, Ellen. The Filipinos need to shake off the lethargy fast or we will wake up one day to a world where freedom does not exist.

When the Anti-Terror Law kicks in, we can all bet on Gloria to use its broad powers to muzzle dissent on Cha Cha.

Lusaw ang Senado. Tanggal ang term limits. President for Life ang gaga. Kawawa ang bayan natin.

I have high hopes for Trillanes and Cayetano. It will be from their ranks that radical change will happen.

  74. chi chi

    Skip,

Let’s start then! My relatives and friends are always ready to participate in anything that will dislodge Gloria from her stolen power!

Baka kailangan lang ng mga tao ang aggressive action where they can actively participate. I’m still confident that majority of pinoys will make their presence felt in a massive action against Gloria. Di ba, if the Luneta rally in Dec of last year was not diverted into a simple thanksgiving, attendance could reach as high as a million?! So, meron pang spirit na natitira!

You’re right, susunod sila lahat sa mga tao if they act together, sana very soon!

  75. Skip,

“I have high hopes for Trillanes and Cayetano. It will be from their ranks that radical change will happen.”

I am one with you in these hopes. Should they try to ease these two out of the winning circle, I believe, the outrage would manifest itself sooner rather than later.

Trillanes’ showing in the local absentee balloting is most probably an indication of his clout with the AFP rank and file. His showing elsewhere reflects the general civilian sentiment. Now, we have the people and the AFP together for Trillanes- we only have to wait for a spark and Aling Gloria’s highly questionable rule may find the right answers.

    Chi, Ka Enchong:

The rally last week had a decent-sized crowd, considering the bad weather. Next Wednesday, I am confident the rally would be attracting more participants and better media coverage.

Though most people are slumbering, I believe there will never be a lack of people who will stand guard and keep evil at bay.

    Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
