Bono Adaza, 3 others arrested for plotting to overthrow Arroyo

For update on Adaza et al, see Malaya article in comments.

$4M solicited to bankroll new plot?

by Raymond Africa

Operatives of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group yesterday arrested lawyer Homobono Adaza, two retired military officers, and a former police official wanted for a celebrated murder case, for involvement in another supposed plot to overthrow to Arroyo government.

Another person was reportedly arrested but the CIDG refused to identify him or give details of the arrest. The suspects are scheduled to be presented today to the media in Camp Crame.

Adaza is undergoing interrogation at the PNP-CIDG headquarters in Camp Crame, together with former Colonels Oscarlito Mapalo (Army) and Cesar de la Pena (Marines), and ex-Supt. Rafael Cardeño who is wanted for the Dec. 31, 2001 murder of Baron Cervantes, self-styled spokesman of the Young Officers Union.

Camp Crame sources said the suspects were arrested in an operation conducted by the PNP-CIDG in a fast-food outlet on Ortigas avenue past 1 p.m. yesterday.

The sources said lawyer Raymund Fortun contacted the CIDG and told officials that the group asked him to join a conspiracy to mount an armed revolt to topple the Arroyo administration.

Fortun, in a phone interview, said he filed a complaint of “proposal to commit coup d’état” against Adaza, Mapalo, dela Peña, Cardeño, and an “Amboy.”

He said he filed the complaint yesterday morning before the CIDG on behalf of his client, whom he described only as a Japanese.

He said Adaza’s group has been asking his client for $4 million to finance a coup against the Arroyo administration.

“Well, kahapon ay naka-receive na naman kami ng demand mula sa kanila and they threatened my client kung hindi maibibigay ang demand nila,” Fortun said.

He said part of the threat was that they will harm or kill two Filipino associates of his client and make it appear his client was responsible.

The threat prompted him to file the complaint, Fortun said.

He said CIDG agents then planned an entrapment at Robinson’s Galleria.

Adaza has been linked to past efforts to undermine the Arroyo administration but authorities have yet to substantiate the allegations. He is acting as counsel for one of the 28 Army and Marines officers accused in a supposed plot to overthrow government in February 2006.

Cardeño has been in the PNP’s wanted list since 2001. Cardeño and one Santiago Camacho, a former executive of the Land Transportation Office, were indicted in the 2001 assassination of Cervantes in Las Piñas City.

Cardeño was at large until the CIDG captured him by chance yesterday.

Since 2004, top PNP officials have been saying efforts were ongoing to arrest Cardeño, who is also facing administrative and criminal cases filed by the PNP for alleged malversation of government property for his reported failure to return issued government firearms.

Apart from Cardeño and Camacho, three others were also charged in connection with the killing of Cervantes.

Cardeño was tagged by the alleged gunman, ex-Marine Sgt. Joseph Mostrales, as the mastermind.

Mostrales was described by the police as the ringleader of a kidnapping-for-ransom group composed mostly of former soldiers.

One of the suspects identified as Jaime Centeno of Antipolo City was arrested by agents of the then National Anti-Kidnapping Task Force.

Mapalo became controversial after he complained about alleged discriminatory criteria in the AFP’s promotion system.

Opposition senators even initiated an investigation into Mapalo’s complaint, saying the Arroyo government should maintain a professional Armed Forces by ensuring that senior, competent and best qualified military officers are given a fair chance at promotion.

Stupido naman ito si Raymund Fortun – is he missing the limelight so much that he thought of contacting “..the CIDG and told officials that the group asked him to join a conspiracy to mount an armed revolt to topple the Arroyo administration” ? Common’ do you think Adaza can actually mount a coup ?

The joke is on Gloria. She’s so paranoid ! If it is her fate to be toppled, nothing & no one can stop that from happening. All Gloria is doing is stalling the inevitable.

  2. Chabeli: “Common’ do you think Adaza can actually mount a coup ?

    Talaga.

  3. parasabayan parasabayan

Adaza and Fontun are great lawyers. They are also the lawyers of a few of the Tanay Boys. Kaya siguro iniipit nila sila because of the mutiny trial of the Tanay Boys.

I was watching the news for the past two days and I had to keep turning off my tv everytime the pandak came on. NAKAKASUKA NA TALAGA!

  4. bitchevil bitchevil

Adaza has no capability and resources to even stage a rally against the government. How can he stage a coup with a few retired military officers? For a coup to succeed, you need the help of many sectors such as the active military, opposition, business sectors and even the church. No one is going to buy the PNP’s story. Why would a veteran politician and prominent lawyer like Adaza propose a coup to anyone? If one is going to commit a crime, would he propose to someone that he’s going to commit it? And Fortun? Well, I think he has long parted ways with the Erap group. Fortun is now more into lawyering for celebrities. Whatever reason that drove him into filing the complaint against Adaza, only he and the government know.

  5. I don’t have the full picture yet. But some people told me some of the names mentioned are notorious for fund-raising using the name of patriotic soldiers. Mahilig mag-name drop.

I don’t know about Mapalo. I’ve never met him.

  6. Wow ha, may hapon pang kasama daw. Ulol!

Nakakahiya! Bulok na bulok!

  7. Sinabi mo pa, Bitchdevil. Many years ago, we needed a speaker for one of our forums from the Philippines. Kaya alam kong wala siyang pera. Hindi kasi kurakot, at maingat ang taong iyan to get involved in this kind of activity na may mag-i-squeal pa sa kanila.

  8. Take note of this story by Peter J. G. Tabingo
in Malaya today. It mentions de la Peña:

Former Marines chief, 7 others ordered arrested
Retired Brig. General Percival M. Subala, former commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps, and seven co-accused were ordered arrested by the Sandiganbayan Fifth Division Wednesday in connection with a criminal charge filed against them over the loss of 72 units of Heckler and Koch MP5 cal. 9mm sub-machineguns in June 2000.

Also covered by the arrest order were Marines assistant chief-of-staff Col. Cesar A. dela Peña, Navy Capt. Teodoro M. Briones, SPO4 Richard B. Zules, and civilians Edelbert C. Uybuco, Gerardo D. Vijandre, Manuel Ferdinand B. Trinidad and Michael R. Boregas – officials and employes of Trimark Ventures Trading Corp., a government-accredited firearms supplier.

Associate Justice Ma. Cristina Cortez-Estrada signed the warrant which was forwarded to the PNP, NBI, AFP and other law enforcement agencies. The court has set the defendants’ bail at P120,000 each.

Prosecutors said there are evidence of conspiracy among the accused in simulating a purchase of firearms which enabled the accused military officers to secure a clearance to take out the guns from the PNP-Firearms and Explosives Division (FED) in Camp Crame. However, instead of delivering the guns to the Marine headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, they were brought to the offices of Trimark Ventures where they mysteriously vanished.

In October 2005, a police operation against suspected gunrunners in Subic, Zambales netted five of the missing MP5s.

Prosecutors said Dela Peña wrote FED for authority to purchase the MP5s on the strength of an authorization from Subala despite the fact that the Marine Corps “had no budget or intention to purchase any firearms.” –

The plot thickens on this one, Ellen. May gumagamit sa mga military officers na ito or simply framing them up dahil may mga sariling paninindigan. Sila sila ang nagsisiraan. Siguro the rotten officers want to have the “bounty” themselves and kailangang maidiin yung mga straight guys para walang sagabal sa kanilang mga “operations”!

Tama ka Yuko, the authorities should check the fingers of this Japanese national . Baka kulang ang mga daliri and he belongs to the disdained Yakuza gang. Marami sila sa Pilipinas. I even saw one in the 1980s where halos lahat ng daliri ay ubos na! Very notorious siguro. Nagtatago itong mga ito sa Pilipinas. Some of them are even married with Filipinas and have kids with them.

Expect the pandak to be stirring the pot from here on because she has to justify declaring “martial law” anew! She will do everything in her power to hold on to her stolen position. Let us watch how her dirty dogs orchestrate a “false coup”, bombings here and there, kidnappings and death of influencial people from here on. She has less than two years to declare a martial law which is her last attempt to cling unto power! Sioktong’s drunken analyses may just be right!

By asking Fortun to cook it, Gloria tries to impress Dubya that she can quell a coup against her in an instant. Two lame ducks irrelevant to their own people trying so very hard to stay in the limelight.

Gloria, stop quacking already. You are so LAOS na a!

  12. chi chi

Kambal-tuko si Gloria at Mugabe. Si Gloria ay adviser ni Mugabe so it’s no wonder why Mugabe is a copycat of Gloria.
The only difference is that Dubya loves Gloria while hates Mugabe.

There goes their phone converse on their countries relationship. Sasabihin ni Barack: Don’t know her!

Unless Gloria won’t need Uncle Sam anymore after Dubya, she’ll declare martial rule.

  13. parasabayan parasabayan

The evil bitch is so good in staging coup, election rigging, abduction, kidnapping and what have you to grab and hang on to power! I wonder what is Fortun’s price for being a “Judas”? A supreme court position? O baka sa International Court…heh, heh, heh. He can not compete with the “tililing” Brenda! I heard that between the two, Adaza is the more credible one. Fortun is affiliated with the Narvasa Law Firm who is known for “something” else. Hmmm, what is this evil woman cooking up again. She seem to succeed is shutting up all those who oppose her and even succeeded in causing the deaths of her opponents, Fernando Poe Jr and Ka Beltran. She succeeded in keeping Honasan in her pocket, virtually reduced him to a “lame lapdog”! I should say that for a pandak, she sure has a deadly sting! For those who are still standing up, she has hypnotized them so good!

  14. parasabayan parasabayan

The evil bitch has a pool of “men” who are ever ready to pull the trigger for her! The power of the “purse” seem to always draw even the bright and upright men turned “something else” to her bait! Magaling talaga siyang magmaniobra. With a hoodlum husband and kids, she sure has all her bases covered! Nothing would leak out because it is simply a “family” affair!

  15. luzviminda luzviminda

Ang think they are trying to implicate Atty. True story o isang ‘FICTION!

—— REVERSE ENGINEERING OF MARCOS MARTIAL LAW —–

    To: Parasabayan and Kapatid

In my opinion, when tiyanak pidal and fatboy pidal were planning the coup d’etat against the constitutional President Joseph Estrada, they were already thinking of doing a la Marcos martial law once they succeeded in ousting Erap.

Why did I say that? Since tiyanak pidal grabbed power from President Joseph Estrada they started to consciously control the military (including police), judiciary, the media, jailing or salvaging thos who speak out against this criminal and illegitimate de facto occupant of malacañang.

During Marcos martial law all of these things or most of it did not occur until his martial law was approved by US.

Most of the opposition that could have come out, right after she declares her martial law in the very near future, are already in jail or dead. The media are now afraid because of this onerous and politically motivated Laigo ruling, arroyo supreme court castrated our judiciary, the people are now afraid to demonstrate, etc….

When the international media arrives in Pinas, right after she declares her martial law, they will not see any sign of dissent because all or most of opposition journalist are already in jail or dead, other opposition politicians are already on the run or changed their allegiance to tiyanak pidal, etc….

The only way we can prevent this impending martial law, which is fast approaching, is to start resisting it NOW! While we still have time to do it. All signs are there.

Well, maybe I am just hallucinating because I drank sioktong for breakfast instead of barako.

    Signed:
    Sioktong — Copyright 2008

  17. bitchevil bitchevil

Sioktong, I don’t think the US was aware that Marcos was going to declare Martial Law. However, the US later approved after the declaration. The US just made sure that Marcos obeyed her. Sioktong, you have not answered my question why INC picked GMA when INC’s teaching is against a woman leading the nation.

  18. sioktong sioktong

    Correction:

During Marcos martial law all of these things or most of it did not occur until after his martial law was approved by US.

  19. parasabayan parasabayan

Luzviminda, that was what got into my mind when Adaza ws implicated. Katulad ng ginawa nila kay Honasan, they gave him the liberty to get out pero nakaposas ang kamay, may takip ang mata at may busal ang bibig. Hawak ni tiyanak ang BALLS niya!

The jounalists are now curtailed as evidenced by the latest development in the Manila Penn incident. Si Senator Trillianes eh pinagbabawalang maglingkod sa bayan by the SC. Now, implicating Adaza and some ex-military officers give a chilling effect. The evil bitch is mixing up a cocktail leading to something more explosive than a bomb! HOY MGA TULOG, GISING NA KAYO!

  20. parasabayan parasabayan

Luzviminda, the burden is on Fortun, not Atty Adaza. Ang idinidiin ay si Atty Adaza. I wonder who is pulling the string somewhere.

  21. luzviminda luzviminda

At sinabi pa niyang there is no such crime, meaning ‘non-existent’.

Querubin at nila Trillanes. Parang gustong mag-DOMINO!

    bitchevil,

Here is the link again which I provided from the other thread:
    http://www.mail-archive.com/ctrl@listserv.aol.com/msg17660.html

If you look for the source of informations about that article , you will find out that it was Primitivo Mijares. You can say that Mijares was an insider right before martial law was decreed and immediately after that. He also wrote “The Conjugal Dictatorships of Marcos”. I read that book more than ten years ago which I borrowed from my dad. I remember that book mentioned about Mr. Nalundasan, Marcos’ first victim. Marcos shot him by using his ROTC rifle and shot him at a distance. I wish I have that book now but my dad could not remember where it is.

From my understanding, the nation that’s referred to was His nation, His church, and according to my uncle it refers to INC. That’s why there is no woman preaching as minister in INC.

  24. bitchevil bitchevil

Thanks Sioktong. Marcos indeed killed Nalundasan but Marcos was so smart that he defended himself successfully. Mijares was reported to have been liquidated by Marcos too.

So it’s true that INC is against a woman as a leader or leading the country. My question is still the same: Why did INC endorse GMA?

  25. parasabayan parasabayan

MONEY < MONEY MONEY! Marami nyan si evil bitch- NAKAW karamihan!

  27. bitchevil bitchevil

Sioktong, the link you provided mentioned about America’s knowledge of the plan of Marcos to declare Martial Law; and no less than President Nixon approved the plan. Well, that confirms once again that for coup to succeed, it needs America’s blessing. If America has a say in the installation of RP President, legitimate or not, then she also has a say in the removal of our President, legal or illegal. It comes down to one obvious conclusion: America is the culprit.

Ito namang si Dubya, mukhang ang sagot, “Don’t worry, it is just a matter of time, since I have actually included the Philippines in my axis of evil nations because of the ASG. That’s why you have to tell the Fil-Am voters to vote for McCain so that he can continue where I have left off.”

Subukan niya na walang US sanction.

In short, walang binatbat!

  32. bitchevil bitchevil

Bono Adaza’s name fits him…he often takes cases on “pro-BONO” basis.

  33. Diego K. Guerrero Diego K. Guerrero

Is there a probable cause or solid evidence for the warrantless arrest against lawyer Adaza, et al? The PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) is known to manufacture evidence to pin down suspects. Maybe it’s another Malacanang squid tactics.

  34. chi chi

    Yuko,

I believe that Gloria is making the Pinas situation worse to impact on Barack the necessity to declare martial rule in case he makes it to the Oval office. Kaya ayan at kukuruku-coup na naman. Kay Mc Cain kasi ay medyo may kadalian, mga hawks sila sa Reps besides continuing Dubya’s policy in Mindanao (take note ha, Mindanao was the subject of their 15 minute meet daw).

But as we all know, the Dems hate dictatorial and martial rulers, hindi siya papasa sa Dems, kay Barack pa who stated that he’s going to ‘pacify the terrorists’ to avoid war. Unless Gloria does not want US aids and support, which is impossible, she’d declare martial law with only her AFP and PNP backing her up.

I wonder what Yano would do in case her president and commander informs him that she wants martial law declared.

  35. langhab langhab

a)kailan, b)gaano katagal sa piitan, at c)ano-anong dahilan (kaso) kung meron man?

    sana po mayroom nakakalam nito?

    maraming salamat po.

  36. Kaya nga importante na masabihan si Barack and the other democrats what we know.

Volunteer ako sa Barack campaign and I have maintained a contact with one or two senators, one of whom is a member of our church from Utah, and another member of the US Congress, who is also a member of our church, and another from our district in the Bay Area.

Good thing talaga merong Internet. Mas madaling mangalampag ngayon.

Maaaring tinataga niya at ayaw niyang magpa-TY kaya akala siguro wala siyang pera at kumo wala siyang pera, kaya nila siyang ibagsak.

Ako, ang inaabangan ko authoritarian rule na walang deklarasyon kahit ano, kung meron man, pseudo-martial law with the same effects.

But look at the events! Sunod-sunod! Everything happening today has something to do with affairs, cases, and people within the military and police.

But meron bang nagtagal na ganyan!

Abangan.

  45. parasabayan parasabayan

We really have to be forewarned. The evil bitch knows how to pay off her dogs and she has a pool of “hatchetmen”.

  46. parasabayan parasabayan

I wonder how much the Japanese was paid to help frame Adaza. Baka naman itong hapon na ito ay ipit at i-dedeport na but he wants to stay in the Philippines or his business is at the brink of going under (ravaged by excessive kotongs) so he needs some financial help thus, this whole “coup” thing was cooked up.

  47. parasabayan parasabayan

Tongue is right, the pandak’s martial law is implied and she has already started the control over the military then the judiciary and continues on to the other government agencies up to the lowest political units. She may not have declared the martial law but she is already practicing excessive control.

Susmaryosep!

  49. Excessive control, PSB? I doubt.

We saw him in fact a few months before he died. Iyak ng nanay ko na pinsan niya. Almost blind na siya. Hindi na nakakakita sa totoo lang. Pero one thing I can tell you is that he really loved his country. Pero with all the good things that a lot many people now say he did, baka naman patawarin ng kaunti ng Panginoon.

    Kawawang Pilipinas!

  55. sioktong sioktong

    Grizzy,
Ilang bang kapatid ni Marcos? Parang isa lang ata syang anak?

  56. Marcos is the eldest son of Mariano and Josefa Marcos. His siblings are Pacifico, Elizabeth and Fortuna. I bet you’re reading some trash being posted on the Internet, but unlike rumors about the birth of Gloria Dorobo, Ferdinand was a very legitimate son of Mariano Rubio Marcos with Josefa Edralin. Hindi uubra sa pamilya namin kung nangaliwa si Josefa, which she did not as the grand lady was a respected teacher.

Sabi anak daw ng intsik si Marcos? Gago ba sila. Natural magmumukha siyang intsik dahil may lahing intsik ang nanay niya.

The only scandal we knew and actually embarrassed our relatives was the assassination of Nalundasan that was blamed on Ferdinand. I guess I’ll ask my mother again about this case. I had heard this story before but I did not give it any importance. In fact, all that my mother could say was that Nalundasan was brushing his teeth when he was shot, and Ferdinand was blamed for it because he was a sharpshooter. He was actually able to defend himself and he was acquitted, and that’s that.

If he was really guilty, you can bet your bottom dollar, his sin will be visited on his descendants. So far, wala pang lumalabas.

  57. Buhay pa ang mother ko. Gotta grill her for more information, at least, before she dies rather than depend on trash posted on cyberspace.

  58. bitchevil bitchevil

Correct me if I’m wrong, grizzy. I’ve long heard that Marcos’ real father was a Chinese with the surname “Chua”.

  59. Not true. The father of Marcos was Mariano Rubio Marcos. One thing many people do not know, ang mga Ilocano hindi mahilig mang-ako ng di nila anak! Pero si Ferdinand, no way!

Never heard of the name Monotori! Saan napulot ang pangalang iyan?

May salita sa hapon na “monotori” na ibig sabihin manenekwat” or in other words “robber.” Kahabag-habag!

  62. bitchevil bitchevil

That’s why I say that’s BS. There were many worse than Adaza who directly asked for the overthrow of the GMA government. Example was Gen. Abat who has never been charged. Abat is a certified FVR man.

  63. parasabayan parasabayan

  64. Update on Adaza et al:

Adaza, 5 others charged over ‘oust-Gloria plot’

    by Raymond Africa

Lawyer Homobono Adaza and five former military and police officials were charged yesterday in connection with an alleged plot to overthrow the Arroyo administration.

Charged by the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group were Adaza, former Colonels Oscarlito Mapalo, Cesar dela Peña and Ernie Amboy, former Supt. Rafael Cardeño, and retired colonel Edgardo Tapia, who is at large.

A separate case of obstruction of justice was filed against Adaza, Mapalo, Amboy, and Dela Peña for harboring Cardeño, who has a pending case before a Las Piñas City court in connection with the Dec. 31, 2001 slaying of self-styled Young Officers Union spokesman Baron Cervantes, said Senior State Prosecutor Emmanuel Velasco.

Cardeño was also charged with using a fictitious name. He identified himself as Randy Linares Marvella when CIDG agents arrested them in Room 1002 of the Holiday Inn Hotel, Robinson’s Galleria on Ortigas avenue in Pasig City Wednesday.

Velasco said a case of estafa/swindling was also filed against Adaza, Mapalo, Cardeño, Amboy, Dela Peña, and Tapia for allegedly accepting P1 million that the group demanded from Motonori Sakuma, a Japanese client of lawyer Raymond Fortun who arranged the entrapment of Adaza’s group.

Adaza said of Fortun: “He is a big liar!

Fortun said he was willing to testify in court “based on my own personal knowledge of the actions of the group” after he was also threatened with physical harm.

“I was told the money from my client would be used to oust the President,” he added.

PNP chief Avelino Razon said police have expanded an inquiry to determine the extent of the new plot and “find out who else might be involved.”

Velasco said he has 60 days to decide if there was enough basis to forward the charges to a local court where the men would then be formally charged.

All three former soldiers have been linked to several past coup attempts since 1989.

Velasco allowed Adaza to be confined at the PNP General Hospital inside Camp Crame for health considerations.

Cardeño was brought to Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court Branch 275 under Judge Bonifacio Maceda who issued the arrest warrant against him in connection with the Cervantes slay.

Dela Peña was brought to the Sandiganbayan Fifth Division which issued an arrest warrant on him Wednesday for the loss of 72 firearms in June 2000.

Mapalo and Amboy remain at the PNP Custodial Center.

    ARREST QUESTIONED

During inquest proceedings, Adaza, who represents his co-accused along with lawyer Argee Guevarra, questioned the legality of their arrest. He said it cannot fall under the principle of warrantless arrest because the police agents have no personal knowledge of the alleged plot.

Velasco said it will be one of the issues to be resolved.

Guevarra said they are contemplating on filing countercharges against the CIDG for the alleged illegal arrest.

“This is clearly a violation of human rights. Bigla na lang silang dinakip. This inquest should not even take place,” Guevarra said before the inquest proceedings held at Camp Crame’s Multi-Purpose Center.

Fortun filed a complaint before the CIDG Wednesday after Adaza’s group allegedly demanded $4 million from his client to fund an uprising against the Arroyo government.

Fortun said Adaza’s group would kill two of his Japanese client’s associates and put the blame on Sakuma if they did not give in to the demand.

Fortun said his and Sakuma’s lives were also in danger because of their knowledge of the supposed plot.

He said his client already gave P1 million to the group on June 5, 2008 at the Bonifacio Global City.

    ‘NO DESTAB PLOT’

Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro and Armed Forces chief Gen. Alexander Yano said no coup is being hatched by military officers.

“There is no plot within the Armed Forces,” Teodoro said.

On the chance of a destabilization move succeeding, Teodoro said: “Zero. I can confidently say no destabilization move will succeed.”

Teodoro said if the five are indeed involved in a plot, the threat they pose is low “because unfortunately there is no credibility whatsoever in terms of launching a plot of the people who are supposed to be involved in this latest caper.”

Mapalo escaped from military custody a few years ago while facing court martial for questioning the military’s promotion system.

Adaza serves as counsel for one of the officers facing court martial indicted for the supposed power grab attempt in February 2006.

Dela Peña is affiliated with the Rebolusyonaryong Alyansang Makabansa and was involved in the 1989 coup.

Amboy was a protégé of former Marines commandant Lt. Gen. Edgardo Espinosa.

Espinosa was supposed to be among the military officers who were to go against the Estrada government but the move was overtaken by the Edsa 2 in January 2001, which ousted Joseph Estrada from the presidency.

    NOT A SERIOUS CONCERN

Yano said the military has not monitored any coup plan. And if the PNP establishes that Adaza’s group is indeed involved in a coup plot, “we do not see that as a serious concern.”

“Anybody can attempt but as to the seriousness of that attempt, I do not consider it as something that we should be concerned about,” he said.

President Arroyo shrugged off reported coup plot.

“She’s not worried about any destabilization attempts,” Teodoro said.

Press Secretary Jesus Dureza said Malacañang is closely monitoring the developments of the case as it “involves national security issues.”

President Arroyo’s allies at the House said Fortun should tell everything he knows about the supposed plot which they described as “shameful and deplorable.”

Rep. Exequiel Javier (Lakas, Antique), chair of the House committee on ways and means, also said those behind the plot should forget their personal agenda and instead help government in attending to the victims of typhoon “Frank.”

Rep. Danilo Suarez (Kampi, Quezon) chair of the House oversight committee, said any new destabilization plot is “doomed to fail because of the sense of professionalism of members of the AFP and the PNP.” – With Victor Reyes, Jocelyn Montemayor and Wendell Vigilia

  65. “She’s not worried about any destabilization attempts,” Teodoro said.

Why should she be worried?

    *****

Sinabi mo pa, PSB. Kung may hapon na gagawa ng kalokohan sa ibang bansa, suicide na iyon, for the truth is a Japanese can be convicted in Japan for crimes committed overseas.

Pati pangalan noong hapon, mali-mali. Pinangalanan pa ng “manenekwat”! Unbelievable talaga.

  69. One thing the idiots do not apparently know is that when it comes to problems of Japan, talagang makikialam ang mga hapon, pero iyong problema ng Pilipinas, walang gunggong na hapon na papasok sa mga coup-coup ng mga kurakot.

No way.

  70. parasabayan parasabayan

Mayroon na namang gustong pagtakpan si evil bitch, thus the Adaza et al kukurokuku!

  71. bitchevil bitchevil

Sioktong, could you please ask your uncle if it was true Bishop Manalo personally contacted solons to withdraw their signatures in that first impeachment against GMA?

  72. Elvira Elvira

How very un-FORTUN-ate naman!

  73. chi chi

  74. Madali namang malaman kung talagang may kasalanan si Bono re the coup d’etat daw—mas OK pa kung sabihin nilang ku de etat which is what this Malacanang destab plot (mukhang pakulo pa yata noong kamag-anak ni Brenda na nakabalik na) is all about. Kung kilala mo ang calibre niya, alam mong BS ito dahil takot lang niyang inisin iyong mga patrons niyang nakasipsip kay Pandack Omama (‘Lamat, Tongue, for this name).

Nope, I don’t believe in this crap, nor the involvement of a Japanese daw to topple the Arroyo regime.

  75. sioktong sioktong

    Grizzy,
Thanks for the info about the siblings of Marcos. I was just curious, that’s all.

    Bitchevil,
This is what I learned from my uncle:
Manalo never called himself a bishop. His title is Executive Minister. Only the media keeps him calling bishop. Manalo never called any legislators to withdraw their signatures in any impeachments.

Why would INC meddle on an impeachment of an illegitimate occupant of malacañang? Even during the time of constitutional President Joseph Estrada, INC never meddled on his impeachment process.

  76. bitchevil bitchevil

Sioktong, please read: INC tipped balance for GMA, says solon First posted 01:35am (Mla time) Sept 07, 2005 By Philip C. Tubeza, Gil C. Cabacungan Jr.Inquirer News Service PRESIDENT GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO might have implored divine intervention in the most serious political crisis of her four-year administration but it was the hand of the influential Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) that ensured that the impeachment process would be decided in her favor, administration officials said yesterday. Albay Representative Joey Salceda said the INC tipped the balance in favor of the President when the religious sect decided to flex its muscles and called on members of the House of Representatives whom its flock helped get elected in 2004.”The Iglesia came in at a crucial moment last week by putting the brakes on the signature campaign (by the pro-impeachment camp) just when it was starting to snowball,” Salceda said. The President’s economic adviser noted that the common denominator among those who were absent or those who abstained from the voting was their debt of gratitude to the INC. “The (INC) helped her (President Arroyo) not once, but twice,” said Salceda in reference to the crucial role played by the sect in Ms Arroyo’s victory over the king of Philippine movies, Fernando Poe Jr., in the 2004 elections. Tears of joy A Malacañang source confirmed the INC’s role in holding the fort for the President, who was grateful for the religious sect’s support. “The President was brought close to joyous tears when she learned that it was Ka Erdie Manalo (INC’s spiritual leader) who was calling the lawmakers one by one,” the source said. Salceda said that the INC was a prime believer in the status quo and that this was not an opportune time to be rocking the boat in the face of the crises facing the country. But while the INC proved to be the President’s trump card, Salceda said the opposition should not look beyond itself for losing the impeachment battle because of their “big-ticket blunders.”‘

  77. sioktong sioktong

According to the article you posted, Albay representative Joey Salceda (KAMPI), who at that time was tiyanak pidal’s economic adviser, claimed that Manalo personally called lawmaker’s one by one to overturn the impeachment process of tiyanak pidal.

    My questions to you are:
What is the total number of members in the House of Representatives?
How many congressmen was was Pro-tiyanak pidal, meaning in the pocket of arroyo, and how many congressmen was in the Opposition? How many many votes were required to required to overturn an impeachment process? I believe it needs at least 150-180 votes to overturn it.

Let simplify it. Let’s assume that Manalo have that kind of time to waste on calling those Congressmen. Also, let say Manalo needs to call just 30 members of the Lower House to overturn the impeachment. Why did Salceda could not produce even a single member of a Lower House, whom Salceda claimed Manalo called to overturn the impeachment, to corroborate his allegation?

I remember Amb. Maceda of Tribune wrote about this Salceda’s story within a week when this story surfaced and commented that he, Maceda, did not find anything on what Salceda was blabbing about. Malaya did not even ran a story about it. INC Central found it that it is not worth their time to even comment on it. Comment about what?

I am just wondering what motivated Salceda to make INC their scapegoat in overturning the first impeachment process of an illegitimate occupant of malacañang?

Well, I guess that article about Salceda’s revelation is a gospel truth to you.

  78. bitchevil bitchevil

Sioktong, the influence of INC on government cannot be disputed. Even during the time of Cory, INC threatened to order her members to march in the streets to protest about oil increase. Cory had to send an emissary in the person of the late Monching Mitra to calm down Manalo. The Cuevas family has cornered lots of government transactions. Ask the LTO insiders and they would tell you how influential the brother of former Justice Serafin Cuevas is. INC also endorsed her members within the AFP and PNP. Examples are PNP Directors Radovan and Zafra. At BOC, a certain Celso Templo is an INC member. Manalo’s son-in-law (Danao) used to lord over the BOC until his fake credentials were unmasked. As for Manalo calling the solons during the first impeachment, I personally don’t believe it was he who called. Manalo has been very sick for quite sometime now. I presume it was his son Edwardo Manalo who called. Edwardo is the one running the INC now being the successor.

  79. sioktong sioktong

    Bitchevil,
Let’s deal with the article that you posted first and then we will deal with other issues you want to discuss.

The only answer that I received from you concerning the article that you posted were:
“As for Manalo calling the solons during the first impeachment, I personally don’t believe it was he who called. Manalo has been very sick for quite sometime now. I presume it was his son Edwardo Manalo who called. Edwardo is the one running the INC now being the successor.”

Does it matter if Salceda was referring to Eraño Manalo or Eduardo Manalo who alledgedly called them one by one? The point is what you had posted about Salceda’s revelation, which you accepted as gospel truth, is a FARCE.

  80. bitchevil bitchevil

Sioktong, the more you try to defend INC, the more it shows you’re a member. At the very least, you’ve been expelled. When did I ever say I accepted Salceda’s revelation as Gospel truth? I posted that article to prove that there was a report about INC’s meddling in the first impeachment against GMA. INC does things and deals with others in secrecy. Most are hesitant to mention INC’s name for obvious reason. You have not directly responded to my query yet why INC endorsed GMA when it’s INC’s teaching that a woman should not lead a nation.

  81. sioktong sioktong

    bitchevil Says:

“I posted that article to prove that there was a report about INC’s meddling in the first impeachment against GMA.”

Wow, bitchevil by posting that article means you had proven that INC was meddling on the first impeachment? Just suck the word of Salceda and it is a proof of already of meddling? Oh, Salceda could not divulge it to press because the press will tell INC about it. What a weird reasoning. Is Amb. Maceda good enough to be an honorable writer for you to hide his source?

  82. sioktong sioktong

I explained it to you already but I will try again.

The nation that was referred to in the bible was the nation of God. Which was the nation of God ? His people. Who are His people during that time? The first century Church of Christ. There was no woman leader of Israel during that time. Now, during these last days which is considered by God to be His nation, according to the bible? It is the Church of Christ. It does not say in the bible that during these last days that the nation of God is the Philippines or any other country. It say’s there, His nation is the Church of Christ. That’s why there is no woman leader of INC.

Yes, I admit to you that I was expelled because I was drinking to much sioktong. That’s why I am relegated to a sympathizer of INC.

  83. sioktong sioktong

We can dicuss about that Cory and other issues you raised but not at this time because it is a long story. This thread will look like a novel by the time we finish, if we ever finish. When the right thread comes up just bring it up and we will discuss specific issues and not aggregated issues. Besides, we are here just to exchange opinions and hopefully learn from it.

I don’t know about you bitchevil but I have to finish shining shoes of my customer, so I will talk to you again next time.

    Cheers

  84. I bet may gusto lang gumanti kay Adaza. Just a few months ago, he filed a case in court about a claim of a relative of the Fat Guy in Mindanao saying that his family in fact owns the Philippines by virtue of the fact that the money paid by the US to Spain was borrowed from his family. I actually wanted to follow up the said case but there was no follow up news on it. Siguro nagkabulolyaso kaya iniipit ngayon si Adaza, a name I have never heard connected with any resistance movement against the squatters at Malacanang. In other words, nagpapabango ng mga pangalan ang mga ungas at the expense of an innocent Japanese victim!!! Iyan ang tarantado. Pero mas tarantado iyong mga ungas na nag-iimbestiga kuno sa mga involved daw sa destab made in Malacanang, and trying hard to fan a non-existent fire. Kahit nga usok wala naman!

  85. Remember the old adage, “If there is a smoke, there is a fire.” 😛

Sioktong, another INC’s teaching is “one is binding on earth is binding in heaven”. INC also often uses the excuse of meddling in government by saying her members are also citizens of the country who are mostly poor. Did you remember those young kids salvaged in Manila and thrown to the river just because of a basketball fight?

  87. bitchevil bitchevil

Correction: “What is binding on earth is binding in heaven”.
INC is fond of using this verse to justify their actions, good or bad, on earth.

  88. bitchevil bitchevil

By the way sioktong, I don’t believe that you were expelled due to drinking. Many of you ministers are drinking too.

  89. sioktong sioktong

So, supalpal ka ngayon sa nation of God na sinasabi mo kaya binabago mo naman ang topic.

  90. sioktong sioktong

  91. bitchevil bitchevil

Sioktong, I don’t deviate from the topic. My statements were all interrelated. You sure talk like a fanatic INC. I hope you don’t belong to the INC Liquidation Squad. I pity your uncle for having a bastard nephew like you. Make him proud dude. Make INC proud. Or you belong to a different INC (I Need Cock)…

  92. sioktong sioktong

Hey dude, coward like you is just all talk.

  93. Wow, daming alam ni bitchevil sa INC! I’m curious, but if you won’t be offended, are you a follower of Eli Soriano? You may not answer at all.

But you can answer this. Either bitchevil or sioktong.

  94. bitchevil bitchevil

Albert Albert is married to Beth Manalo, Erdie Manalo’s daughter. The late Joel Alano used to court Beth but the guy unexpectedly died of heart attack. Eli Soriano of Dating Daan is currently INC’s number one foe. Many of INC’s members and even ministers went to Soriano’s group; hence, the ongoing conflict.

  95. bitchevil bitchevil

To answer your question, I’m neither with Soriano nor Manalo’s group. I’ve become allergic to organized religions. Religion has become one huge money-making organization.

  96. bitchevil bitchevil

By the way, sioktong can deny this and I don’t care: Recently, one former INC minister who transferred to Soriano’s Ang Dating Daan was murdered by one INC Deacon in Pampanga. The killer is nowhere to be found. As usual, nothing is heard of the case.

  97. This is what Enrile said in an interview on radio according to Tribune:

Administration Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile also expressed

Enrile made the statements in light of the support given by Pimentel to Adaza recently, following his arrest by the authorities as well as his co-accused.

“Yes, I do know Bono (Adaza). If you will ask me, I don’t think he can do that (lead a coup plot). But I don’t know if this is untrue, to be fair to the others (accusing him),” he said.

“With regards to Pimentel, it’s only an opinion. In criminal law, you have to establish the fact. There is a complaint filed, there are those standing and claiming to have overheard him (Adaza) discussing it, so it’s better that the authorities dig into this and determine who is telling the truth,” he said in an interview over dzBB.

“I was just expressing a personal opinion. The same goes to Nene (Pimentel), even if he’s a senator, what he says is mere opinion, it is not the whole truth, it is just an opinion,” he added.

“There may be some proof that warrants you being charged, but that does not mean that it is a military concern. Anybody can plot a coup,” Enrile said.

At least, he’s talking. Best thing for him to do, too, is to defend Bono in the court. I also remember in fact, the closeness of Enrile to Fortun.

  98. bitchevil bitchevil

So what if it’s just an opinion? To most of us, Nene’s opinion carries more weight than Enrile’s. Enrile is a goner.

  99. Thanks, bitchevil, for the reply. Close kami noon ni Albertsquared before parting after college. Now, I know may padrino ako sa INC just in case.

  101. bitchevil bitchevil

Beth Manalo is also very close to Sharon Cuneta. I think Sharon was among the secondary or principal sponsors in the wedding. Both Beth and Albert are writing religious hymns for the church.

    Hi Miss Ellen,

I I know Colonel Mapalo. I knew him personally, he’s a good guy when he was still a 2nd Lt. He was a simple guy. I don’t know now.

Does anyone know his whereabouts? Did he get married?

    Many thanks for the information
