It appears that there’s a pattern in the killings. Death squads are riding on a motor bike. Democracy is dead in the Philippines under illegitimate Arroyo government. Killers are roaming free and probably protected by police and military scalawags. General Santos City RMN broadcaster Dennis Cuesta died Saturday afternoon. He may rest in peace.

Ingat! We will pray for you all journalists.

  3. SWS survey results, actual socio-economic situation, scandals, obvious indifference to the plight of the people…no amount of image building can ever cover up this administrations’ failure…

I think there is equality in the murders and killings. In the order of the day, anyone in the line of fire must not be spared. Journalists or not.

  5. It’s the same modus operandi, and yes, DKG, there is the connection or lead to the police under the AFP, and this explains why none of these murders since the Garutay ambitioned to be at the MalaKaniyaLang Palace.

In November, 2000 at the start of the campaign for the removal of Erap, a radio broadcaster in Zamboanga was gunned down in broad daylight while he was riding on a tricycle on his way to work. He was with his cousin as a matter of fact, and the cousin saw the assassins who were on a motorbike.

The broadcaster was a member of our church and I sent the news to the Deseret News in Utah. Members of our church in the US who read that news in fact wrote to Erap, and he responded by sending some NBI to investigate on the case. I understand that he likewise gave some money to the family of the victim. Unfortunately, Erap was removed as we all know, and the investigation was discontinued after his removal. In short, the case has become another one of the statistics.

  6. Over in Japan, takot ang police namin dito sa mga media dahil malakas talaga sila.

If this kind of thing happens in Japan, maraming police officials ang matatanggal sa trabaho because their failure to solve cases such as these murders of journalists in the Philippines will be considered incompetence and inefficiency of the police, and possible deterioration of peace and order that the ordinary citizens naturally will not condone and tolerate.

Bakit hindi iyan binabatikos ng media? Dapat binabanatan iyan and the heads of the police and military socked for their incompetence and inefficiency.

They should also demand for the separation of the police from the military so there will be no overlapping of functions that render the police completely hopeless and useless as a matter of fact.

  7. …and this explains why none of these murders since the Garutay ambitioned to be at the MalaKaniyaLang Palace has ever been solved.

Priesthood, elders and those doing missionary works usually do not get paid. So, the killing of that radio broadcaster if he was doing God’s work, his death would not be in vain.

Erap was successful in reclaiming the camps occupied by the Muslim rebels despite strong opposition from the Catholic Church. That was one of the things that triggered his ouster. After his downfall, the Evil Bitch allowed the camps to be taken again by the rebels.

The people need to take back their country from the corrupt hoodlums, first and foremost, if they want killing to stop. Since this political hoodlums ain’t about to do nothing that will disrupt their way of life. Killing of journalist and activist are not their high priority, but the fattening of their bank accounts and vacationing abroad. I suspect, killing will go on, it’ll only get worsen before it get any better, but I won’t count on it. As we all aware, killing is not a well kept secret in the Philippines, for decades people has accepted it as part of day to day living, and they go on living. They got enough problem in worrying where the next meal will come from, let alone worrying about killing of others. Moreover, killing is very common in the Philippines and for few thousand pesos you can get someone terminated. No big deal, since whore Gloria already set a good example.

Of course Mike Defensor used his connection to Malacanang in cornering the contracts of his two mining firms. It doesn’t matter if he’s already out of Malacanang when the deals were made. His influence and strong connection with the Evil Bitch
resulted in closing the deals with the Chinese investors. Otherwise, who is he? Why would these Chinese deal with that Little Mouse whose only credential was to make up stories and lie?

Bakit iyan kino-confirm kasi ng Commission on Appointments?

Kawawang bansa! Wala na ba talagang matino?

  15. Cocoy, buti’t itinigil mo kay San Pablo, baka natuloy pa kay San Tiago (Miriam? Dyuskupo!) Baka tuluyan tayong ma-flip.

  16. Sinabi mo pa, Cocoy. This reminds me of the story of a friend of ours in Daly City. Pareho silang pilipino kaya lang iyong lalaki may lahing itim kaya hindi mukhang pilipino.

Nagbakasyon sila sa Pilipinas pero on the way to or from some trip sa Olongapo, tumaas ang blood pressure noong babae at nag-collapse dahil siguro sa init at hindi na sanay. Sa Daly City nga naman, all year round maginaw.

In short, namatay.

  20. tongue,

I have a friend who got into a JV with BHP for a 60/40 arrangement. Until now 17 years, millions of pesos later, no serious mining activity has happened. These big mining conglomerates practice this “mine banking” modus. The case is pending in Singapore but it looks like its a losing battle…

  21. Tilamsik Tilamsik

Not one case has been solved, not a single military officer or soldier prosecuted for the murders and disappearances of activists such as Jonas Burgos, Luisa Posa Dominado, Shirley Cadapan, Karen Empeno, and thousands more.

Last year the Permanent People’s Tribunal at The Haghue, Netherlands, concluded its meticulous appraisal of massive evidence with the judgment that the Arroyo regime and its sponsor, the Bush administration, were guilty of “gross and systematic violation of human rights, economic plunder and transgression of the Filipino people’s sovereignty.

This is one way of suppressing nationalism in our country. Its been happening since the word FILIPINO came to be.

  24. Off topic, but I just read this news in the Inquirer:

-A Japanese lawyer has urged Davao-based Japanese-Filipinos to take advantage of the new law that grants citizenships to children of unmarried Japanese and Filipina couples.

Hironori Kondoh of the Tokyo-based Japanese Filipino Children Lawyers Association, told a roomful of Filipinas in Davao that the June 4 decision of the Japan Supreme Court would reverse the law which only granted nationality to Japanese-Filipino children whose parents were married legally.

I don’t know and cannot understand why Filipinos should be elated by this kind of news that encourages Filipinos to renounce their Filipino identity for another, and think that to be a citizen of another country will make them any better.

I feel like puking every time I hear these lawyers say that these kids being born out of wedlock and are legally under the parental authority of the Filipino mothers can have better chances to live like human beings even when they can be ostracized in Japan. I cannot understand why Filipinos would not feel insulted by such statements that it will be better for these kids to be Japanese than be Filipinos that they are bound by Philippine law in fact to be.

Is that the reason why some editors of Malaya like Banayo,
Joe Baylon, etc. are not writing anymore. They are in the hit lists of the shit woman of Malacanang? Was it mentioned by Malaya press that the U.S. is building Mindanao to deter from communist china. Maybe we should not be mad at the U.S. because in the long run it will benefit the Philippines. Just give it time that shit of Malacanang will be gone with the help of the U.S. She causes more trouble than the Al-Qaeda and the the rest of the terrorists put together. Right now she is the terrorist of the Philippines as far as I am concerned. Look at what China is doing in Burma that is plain terrorism. Harping on the people of Burma (Myanmar)that cannot defend themselves. Look what Russia is doing to Servia. That seems to be the ambition of that piece-of-shit in Malacanang. Oppress the Filipinos. She only help the people and her family that will go with her in stealing, lying and corruption.

  26. etcetera etcetera

This post is meant for the above thread, ‘The US role in pact with MILF’ or the other one above it but I could not access either one of them. So I will just post it here.

If you all read the Tribune yesterday’s issue written by analyst Lichauco, Pres. Clinton during his presidency wrote a letter to President Erap telling him to go easy on MILF. Now, the current midget pidal criminal is in collusion with US Prostitute Kristie Kenney to establish a large military base like Subic. The US military base in Mindanao is now within the grasp of US. Who can stop it?

If there will be an election in 2010, Erap will win hands down. Pidal gangsters knows that and even US knows that. If there will be an election in 2010 there are only 2 ways that this midget and US can stop Erap from winning the election. What are those? By not allowing an election to be held in 2010 through the declaration of martial law like Marcos or Assasination of President Joseph Estrada by CIA. Why? If Erap becomes President again then for sure he will annihilate MILF which he has proven in the past. US will not allow that to happen again because their plan for US base will diminish. The other reason as we all know is that this midget serpent wants to remain in her ill gotten power.

  27. jug,
BHP is Australia’s biggest mining corp., probably the biggest in Asia, and not a few stories like your friend’s have emerged. It’s in the forefront in the mad scramble to supply China’s mineral needs. That practice is widespread, you will find big-name miners with nothing but a geologist, an errand-runner and a secretary holding office in a plush condo since all other services are outsourced.

It’s usually Al Ramos’ (of Alemar’s/National Bookstore fame)Philodrill or Diamond Drilling, et al. that does the actual drill tests.

Sometimes, mining firms enter into a contract with landowners in order to control access to an adjacent mine which they also operate, thus intrusions into their area is prevented. It may also be for merely reserving the site for future activities and the urgency is only dictated by logistics and/or contingent developments elsewhere. Some shrewd miners also negotiate for an exclusive after-production sharing/compensation without any real intention of actual mining preventing its competitor access to land. They accomplish this without spending anything by a contract similar to your friend’s.
