In Kris moving funeral mass speech, she related that her son Josh asked her brother, Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, “Please, Tito Noy, never get married.”
But Kris assured Noynoy not to worry, “Kung saan ka liligaya, pwede na rin.”
A source close to the Aquino family said Noynoy, 49, had brought to the already sick President Cory his girlfriend, Shalani Soledad.

The 29-year old Soledad is a councilor in Valenzuela City.
Information about Soledad in Philippine Entertainment Portal says she is a graduarte of Human Resource Management from De Las Salle University. She used to work in the office of Sen. Panfilo Lacson.
Although Noynoy’s name is being mentioned as vice-presidential candidate in the 2010 elections, a source said he is reluctant because he wants to attend to his family first. With his mother’s death Noynoy now stands as the padre de familia.
After Ninoy and Cory, there are only two popular political figures left in the Aquino family other than Butch and Tessie Oreta who are still active (pero laos na si Oreta)…sina Noynoy at Kris. Kris is more popular than Noynoy for being in the showbiz and more talkative. Magaling din magsalita si bunso. Pero wala siyang hilig sa pulitika. Magiging parang showbiz ang Kongreso o Senado kapag nandoon siya. Lalo na sa Senado, if she, Jinggoy, Bong Revilla, Lito Lapid attend the Senate Session, parang shooting ang dating. What Kris should do is to support her brother Noynoy. She should join the campaign and speak on the stage. Kris should also be with the opposition and not do what she did last election by supporting GMA and even received P10M for her endorsement fee. Sources confirmed that the decision to pull out President Cory’s long time security aides was ordered by Malacañang. Why, when it seemed so stupid and heartless? Because they were aware President Cory was on the throes of death. And they wanted to put in intelligence agents who would monitor what plans were being made by the family to get people to rise up as a result of President Cory’s death.
After she died, GMA sent Secretary Remedios Poblador to offer a state funeral. Kris Aquino angrily confronted her with what Kris revealed on TV. “After disrespecting our mother by withdrawing her security aides, you now want to take charge of her funeral. No way.”

You’ll laugh at me, but I find Kris Aquino to be fiery and apt to be the better political person than Noynoy. She’s young and I want her to join politics now so she starts the learning curve and be good at it.
She’s made personal life mistakes in the past and am sure I was not the only one who castigated her, but i can forgive and give her another chance, after all bata pa sya nun, but I still believe she’s smart and intelligent and sya lang ang nakikita kong makikibaka talaga just like what Dodong said above:

Halimbawa sa show na lang niya tulad ng “The Buzz”, mula umpisa hanggang wakas ay puro bunganga ni Kris. She shows off her clothes, jewelries, shoes, and her skin when she wears backless (sinasadyang nakatalikod sa camera). Instead of talking about other personalities following the topics of the program, she talks about her baby James…where she travels and what restaurant she goes. Sobrang tsismosa. I can just imagine when she’s already in the Senate. Baka puro privilege speech na lang niya at iba’t ibang tsismis ang ibalita. Naku, mapapalaban si Jamby niyan. To me, Kris is better off remaining in showbiz than politics.

Malaki daw ang hinaharap ni James at amoy/lasang baby/gatas. Ordinary na daw three times a night ang bonding session nilang dalawa. With her in Malacanang, all her staff would lose their privacy.

Yes, why encourage Kris Aquino to enter politics? Even with parents like Ninoy and Cory, there is no quaranty that she won’t turn out to be one of them crooks in Philippine politics.
So what if she is frank and talkative? Sabi nga sa Bible, ” A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.” (Prov. 29:11)
I won’t be a hypocrite by saying I like Kris Aquino’s frankness, for there are things better left unsaid like for instance her getting VD for being that promiscuous and committing adultery. Sure she has learned her lessons, but has she totally changed to the better and become really morally upright?
In fact, I thought it was bad breeding when she boasted of spending 1,000 pesos or more for a cheap jeans amidst the poverty especially during her mother’s reign. It was very insensitive of her, just like the kind of insensitivity shown by Gloria Dorobo and company at a posh restaurant in NYC.
So, who says she’ll make a good president?
