Hindi naman siya bata na hindi niya alam kung gaano ka-brutal ang pulitika. Hindi naman siya pinilit para sumali sa kampanya ng kapatid niya. Kagustuhan niya yun.
At bakit siya mag-iiyak sa batikos ng ibang tao. Siya mismo sinasabi niya na maraming nagmamahal sa kanya. Sabi niya ‘yan ang sigaw ng mga tao sa Iloilo at sa Zamboanga kung saan sumama siya sa kampanya ng kanyang kapatid. Kasama rin yata ang kanyang asawang basketbolista na si James Yap at ang kanyang anak, si Baby James.
Yun pala e. Bakit niya pinagpapansin ang hindi kanais-nais na mga salita tungkol sa kanya? Gusto niya lahat mahal siya?
Matalino si Kris at alam niya ang buhay na merong may gusto sa kanya, merong hindi. Bakit niya pinu-problema yun? Ang labas tuloy hindi lang OA. Parang sadya. Sabi nga ng iba kasama sa script. May halong panloloko.
“I’m not perfect,” sabi niya. Sino ba ang perfect? Kahit sino hindi perfect. Walang taong perpekto. Hindi dapat pinagdidikusyunan yan.

Nangyari ang pinakahuling crying scene ni Kris pagkatapos ng interview ni Ruffa Gutierrez na may konting crying scene rin. Pero desente at may class and interview ni Ruffa.
Dahil kasama siya na host ng “The Buzz”, sana hinayaan na ni Kris si Ruffa na siya ang may last word sa isyu ng walkout noong isang linggo.
Hindi ganun ang nangyari. Sabi pa ni Kris: “Kahit na alam kong wala akong masamang ginawa, nag-sorry ako.”
Masama pala ang loob niya sa kanyang pag-sorry kay Ruffa.
Ang problema kasi dito kay Kris, malaking bahagi ng kanyang kasikatan ang kanyang pagka-taklesa. Sinasabi ng iba at siya mismo na prangka siya, walang siyang tinatago at sinasabi niya ang nasa kalooban niya.
Maganda ang prangka. Ngunit may mga paraan sa pagsabi ng totoo na hindi naka-sakit ng damdamin ng ibang tao lalo pa ang mga tao na hindi naman kriminal. Wala nga perpekto, di ba?
Cute ang pagka-taklesa kung ang nagsasabi ay sampung taong gulang. Kung ang isang bata ay magsabi sa isang babaeng retokado ang mukha na “bakit parang hindi normal ang mukha mo”. Cute yun.
Ngunit sa isang katulad ni Kris na 39 taong gulang, hindi cute yun. Ang pagiging taklesa sa ganung edad ay “thoughtlessness”. Yung wala kang pakiramdam sa damdamin ng ibang tao.
Walang kinalaman si Noynoy Aquino at ang kanyang pag-kandidato bilang presidente sa pagka-taklesa ni Kris.

I think Kris saw Ruffa’s pre-recorded interview and Kris didnt want to be ‘upstaged’ when it is finally shown on national television so she had to have a crying scene of her own… like the rest of the population who watches her daily soap (Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo)I was wondering why she cant “act” like that on the show.. I mean, she is being paid a ton yet her acting on The Buzz looked better… I think she is just KSP…

So, will it be a commission to:
investigate the various scandals that has engulfed Arroyo
or
will it be a mechanism that would “that would provide closure to all the issues surrounding Arroyo.”
Now, lemme tell you that I don’t quite equate the setting up of (1) “a commission that would investigate the various scandals that had engulfed President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo” with (2) “a commission that that will create a mechanism that would provide closure to all the issues…”
The Inquirer’s direct Aquino quote as that appearing in their article was the second one. So, what are we to understand?
Is Aquino going to create a commission to investigate?
Or is he playing with words and is telling us something else?
Has he been misquoted or is he trying to be wooly?
This is all very confusing for a simple sailor like me. To me, creating “a commission that that will create a mechanism that would provide closure to all the issues…” put bluntly is, “Shit! Guys, we gotta move forward, move on… forget about putting Gloria in jail. But I’ll give you what you want — a commission to formalise the demise of the Arroyo administration but not necessarily to prosecute themt.”
I know I am not as intelligent as Aquino but goddammit, I try not to be fucking gullible so I would like to hear from Benigno Aquino III what he exactly meant by that quote? (He can come out and deny he said it but frigging hell, he must say things as they are. He must not crap on people’s head by saying things that mean absolutely nothing.
However, if indeed he said the first one: that if he is elected president, one of his first acts in office will be to set up a commission that will investigate the various scandals that had engulfed President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, i.e., as crystal clear as that, then by all means, I think he deserves to win over Villar!
Now, if we all know Gloria Macapagal, i.e., that she’s vengativa and that she will not take a threat to her great person go unpunished, that because of this threat, she, the high and mighty dwende crap will do everything in her power to make Villar win.
If Aquino indeed made this promise, to prove that he is sincere, he must swear on his mother’s grave that if he wins, he shall do as he promises… that he will organise a commission to investigate scandals involving Gloria.
If he does that, then by golly, I shall have no qualms voting for him and shall endeavour to campaign within my tribe and my tribe’s tribe and and their tribes and all that’s entailed to those tribes to vote for him (before you know it there will be so many tribes involved).
But Senator Aquino, there should be no shitting about!
Lest I forget, “to investigate” is usually followed by prosecuting those that deserve prosecuting. Otherwise, better not create a commission — will be goddamn expensive and will cost the country money, money that can be used to serve the needs of the poor!

on GMA’s crime. there is no body of power that could “convict” except for the court system. The power to charge, hear and remove belongs to Congress. They can impeach her again for breaking the law and being corrupt, but getting her out of office without her resignation is nearly impossible. ( the reason why she is still in office) It is also very difficult to convict a president even when she is out of office. Legally we can but it’s not practical in terms of productivity, saving money and saving resources.

This could mean that her allegations in the past have been resolved due to lack of evidence and representation from Congress. In the US, the Constitution states, in part, that the president “shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.” The purpose of this clause was to insure the separation of powers by preventing the courts from using the law as a legal blackmail against the president. I think the law is the same in Philippines?
Assuming a HERO from somewhere will file a case against GMA after her presidency. The crime becomes the crime of the Philippine State. It is not a crime of her regime because there was no people’s power to remove her during her term.
I don’t trust Noynoy’s understanding of the law. If he was knowledgeable, he could have easily pass a bill but ZERO out of 9… And who would be our first lady if Noynoy becomes our president? Boxing fans are now waiting for Mayweather fight this May and of course Mayweather will win (100%) and then the megafight between the two this coming November 2010 will happen. It is all staged and “business as usual” nothing else.

Yes, she’s frank and vocal in her feelings, and sometimes she forgot that she’s hurting, but the truth is, she doesn’t mean to harm anybody. this time Ruffa became so emotional and sensitive, and she took Kris comment negatively, but if you can watch the video, what Kris commented was not bad at all. After all, they’ve been friends for many years, she should know her very well. I think Kris only tried to explain her side once and for all. What she did was just normal and natural, so there shouldn’t be big fuss about it.

To be honest, I think it’s perfectly alright to create a commission “to investigate wrongdoings” that were committed — with a caveat: members must be credible, the commission must be independent and are committed to doing the right thing with only the search for truth as their mantra (as in the UK’s Chilcot inquiry tasked with investigating Blair’s invasion of and war on Iraq).
Otherwise, a commission created for show becomes, as you say, a source of komisyon, one that works purely for pecuniary reason.
And because Aquino’s declaration is swathed with glib, difficult to understand his purpose.

May be true in other countries but definitely not in this country, no way. Commissions created here by the President is always a tool or means to get back at his/ her critiques or political enemies. It can also be used as I’ve mentioned earlier to make quick bucks at the expense of businessmen who are supporters of his political rival. Maybe it can be done, someday… but definitely not in this lifetime. 🙁

Think again, being the Philippines where wheeling and dealing is the game and where everything is possible, baka sampung Pasko na ang nakakaraan, hindi pa nabubuo o nakakapagsimulang magtrabaho ang probe body or commission.
Cory who acted as a dictator under a revolutionary government was not able to do anything, to prosecute her mortal enemies, the Marcoses, what’s more under a new government who has no such power? All she has done is to create the PCGG who milked all sequestered companies dry by its administrators, and which by the way is also being considered by Noynoy who can’t draw any new vision of his own but to ape his mother. Noynoy has no capacity to learn lessons from history. He thought that because it’s his mother’s pet project, it’s good for the country. Why can’t he admit it that it brought nothing good for the country but been a source of corruption by his Kamaganak Inc?
A commission or probe body is just a duplication of DOJ’s job and it will just make the job longer and expensive.
Hire the best legal minds to prosecute the Arroyos and let the wheel of justice turns its course.

Noynoy wasn’t even thinking of clamoring for the presidency until he was pushed-over by opportunistic thugs thereby making him just an accidental president if he wins; much just liker his late mother, an accidental president due to the sentiments sorrounding the assasination of Ninoy.
With no credible prez candidates to choose from; I’ll support Gibo for now but I won’t split hair with anyone here of my personal choice. Di pa naman masyadong corrupt and who knows, he might turn around and send all the Arroyos and their minions to the gallows if elected. We’ll never know.

I respect Ninoy and Cory, I will vote for Noynoy, I admire Noynoy’s three other sisters but I will forever hate Kris Aquino.
I don’t know with you guys but I don’t see anything wrong here, in fact its someone’s admission of her mistakes and attempts to change…when did we become so callous? If a woman cries, give her the benefit of the doubt, its not immediately drama or OA…lets see you cry (for some deep personal reason) and we call you OA or drama queen.

When everybody saw that she was the embarassment of her president mother, or cause of her “kunsomisyon” nobody ever knew where Cory got financial support after her presidency as she practically didn’t have any source of income – from Kris (Baby Arenas will attest to that)…
They don’t even own much shares of Hacienda Luisitam please do your homework…and Gibo – its obvious already that he’s just a monkey wrench (pang gulo lang) admistration candidate but without any clear campaign organization/funds…the way I see it, he’s stupid, he allowed himself to be used this way…
The Filipinos are a people without any common sense…and in a way, for the past 9 years, already molded to Arroyo’s desire…a callous, money-hungry, ingrates, bunch of envious hecklers who whimper and whine much but actually do nothing but look for blame…what a shame…what a shame…
