But what I do know is that Lozada is being protected by the Church, by the priests and nuns. That must mean something. Defensor, take note: that must mean something.

That piece is explosive indeed! Anyway, what can Mike Pidal Arroyo do? He’s not a member of govt, he only happens to be the spouse of a wannabe president, and so if we are to be technical about it, he can fulminate all he wants but Lorredo is a member of a so-called “independent” body, hence, Arroyo shouldn’t use government powers to intimidate Lorredo.

But let’s analyze this, why did the judge act this way? My ESQ…er..ESP tells me he is suffering from the extreme pressure being exerted by the evil bitch’ camp, maybe threatened, too, that this is his way of getting back at them.
No judge in his right mind will ever write an order in such tenor. I feel sorry for the guy, I think he has lost it. I’m sure the other camp is preparing to retaliate.

If so, the judge gave it all he got sort of nothing to lose anymore… that’s why he’s virtually telling what the defence ought to do:
“Why this case is not to the best interest of the first couple—
“Since Defensor is not a trial lawyer, he apparently has not seen the very explosive potential of this case: the first couple (Gloria and Mike Arroyo) may validly and legally be dragged into the proceedings by Lozada’s defense team. All that the defense team has to do is invoke certain provisions of the Rules of Court. As a fair and impartial judge, I shall have no reason not to grant such request.
“It is true that evil, cruel and vindictive regimes can use the law to make their enemies suffer, but it is that very same set of laws that can enable the oppressed (to) fight back. But as you say, this sort of “order” is a recipe for disqualification.

I believe the Judge when he said he would not hesitate to subpoena even the Malacanang crooks if necessary. With the inevitable departure of the Evil Bitch, those who chose to be silent for so long out of fear or personal reason would now come out to do what is right. This is the best opportunity for them either to show what guts they have or redeem themselves. So, be ready for some other judges, government officials, politicians allied with Malacanang to change clothes or jump ship for their own political or personal survival. And if I were Manny Pacquiao, I would distant himself from Malacanang if he indeed desires to run for Congress. Who knows, he might still change tune upon the advice of his political friends.
How many judges would stand up like Lorredo under the pandak’s EK? NONE! At least openly. Maybe he is so fed up with the corrupted system that he really does not care if he is under fire! Kudos to him!

Villar went to Spain as an excuse to meet the Evil Bitch. When his ally Alan Cayetano was asked about this, he replied saying that since Villar is Independent, he could meet Erap and GMA. Now Villar’s camp is saying he’s Independent while in the past he claimed to be an opposition. Politicians’ true colors are showing as 2010 election approaches. I’m not only disappointed with Alan but most especially Nene Pimentel who’s now Villar’s most avid defender. Nothing wrong with helping a colleague as long as there’s no monetary consideration. But if Villar is indeed guilty of the C-5 Road anomaly, then let him speaks and defends himself. As it is now, he’s avoiding the Senate and leaving the matter to his allies to fight for him.

The magistrate outlined the defense strategy in such simple, crystal clear terms, DOJ chief Gonzalez must be squirming in his dunce chair searching for an opening to charge Lorredo (no relation to Lozada) with sedition (aka siding with the enemies of the State).
Just when we thought the justice system is moribund and gasping its last, the judge gives it a refreshing breathe, and does it with unprecedented humour.
Unintended consequence of Defensor’s obstinate move is a Lozada-for-senator groundswell.

We were quite surprised when it was delivered to Jun yesterday morning, we thought Judge Lorredo was still on leave. A friend read it aloud to all of us in Jun’s cramped detention room and you can just imagine our reactions. It was the only light moment we had all day. We needed to laugh, Jun especially, in preparation for what happened after (his move to jail). Chel Diokno, Jun’s lawyer, thinks that Judge Lorredo wants to be removed from the case, or that he really believes in Jun’s innocence and just couldn’t stop himself. What a guy! In response to his invitation, the religious will be attending flag ceremony along with all the rest of us.
Let us remember that Jun has the “goods” on the Southrail deal, and will be a major witness at planned senate hearings. Defensor is head of PNR, and may be defending his turf.

Kung si Judge Lorredo ang humawak ng kaso ng father ko sa Inciting to Sedition hindi na siguro iaakyat pa sa Rebellion… hindi na rin siguro siya tatagal ng 1 taon at kalahati na nakakulong/confined sa Phil. I am very glad to read the order of Judge Lorredo. I just don’t find it funny but very versatile. In this stage of the case, during inquest, he already presented the nature of the future battle between the two parties and presented the worst case scenario for Mike Defensor.
Judge Lorredo exhausted the mechanism and mandate bestowed upon judges to settle things amicably between warring parties. We find this move unusual especially for a highly political issue like this one. And his advice was comprehensive enough to guide the next possible move of both parties and how the court will logically respond to respective motions.
Kudos to this kind of intelligent, objective and true public servant like Judge Lorredo. May his tribe increase!

The best thing that can happen after Judge Lorredo’s irreverent and insolent but funny ORDER to Mike “worm” Defensor is for Jose Pidal Arroyo to hit back at the gutsy judge by filing a libel case, an administration case, a whatever case against him.
If Pidal does that, then the entire “laban”, boxing match (between judiciary and executive branches), slugging contest between Pidal and his minion, etc will be out in the open. What better way is there for the whole thing to become really EXPLOSIVE than for Pidal to sue Lorredo? An “open” fight between Pidal and Lorredo will surely rally public support for the good judge!
I do hope that Lorredo is serious about doing things right and that this ORDER of his is not a kind of “Come on! Make me an offer I cannot refuse” call to the Malacanang squatters!

I have almost lost my trust and confidence in the Philippine justice system until I read this order. My support and fervent prayer for this kind of judge who has got the wisdom and fear of the Lord to be able to dispense justice accordingly. More power to Judge Lorredo! It seems to me that the Almighty has heard my prayers for someone like him to evolve from the present Philippines situation and condition. I hope and pray that every Filipino who is in his/her right mind will lift him up in their personal and devotional prayers.

A friend just observed, if Senator Trillanes or General Lim get deputized, and others join the efforts to arrest, you cannot prosecute them for rebellion or coup d’ etat, because they are effecting a court order.

In the recent press conference given by Mike Defensor, he mentioned that Lozada has two wives. That was foul. His having two wives has nothing to do with the perjury case filed by Defensor. I’m surprised Lozada and his camp did not react to that.
Judge Lorredo is a man of principle.

I was watching an old movie, “King of Kings,” and there was a part there where a centurion asked what John the Baptist was jailed for. The reply was, “He told the truth.” It reminded me of what Lozada is being jailed for—he told the truth!
