Tuwang-tuwa ako sa Facebook shoutout ni dating Lt(sg) Manuel “Cash” Cabochan noong Linggo ng gabi.
Halatang excited na siya sa kanyang paglaya pagkatapos ng sobra pitong taon na pagkulong dahil nanindigan sila laban kay Gloria Arroyo mula pa noong Hulyo 2003 sa Oakwood. Inulit nila ang kanilang paglaban kay Arroyo noong Nobyembre 2007 sa Manila Peninsula.

Si Elmer at si Cash ay parehong mahilig sa pagkain. Si Elmer ay isa sa dalawang author ng cookbook na “Pulutan – from the Soldiers Kitchen”. May kontribusyon na recipe doon si Cash, and “Leftover Lechon Fries” at “Sinigang na Adidas”.
Naantig ako sa mga simpleng plano nitong mga opisyal sa kanilang paglabas. Si dating Lt (sg) James Layug na nauna lumabas noong Linggo ng hapon ay kaagad nagsimba sa Baclaran. Si James ay tumatakbo para congressman sa pangalawang distrito ng Taguig.
Ang karamihan sa kanila ay gusto lang makasama ang mga mahal sa buhay.
Nakalaya sila ngayon dahil pinayagan silang mag-piyansa. Ibig sabihin, hindi pa talagang tapos ang kaso. Pinagdadasal ko na sana tutuloy-tuloy na ang kanilayang paglaya dahil walang silang kasalanang na nagawa sa sambayanang Pilipino. Kaya nga sila nakulong dahil nanindigan sila laban sa mga katiwalian ni Gloria Arroyo.
Hindi nakasama si Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV sa mga pinayagan mag-piyansa. Kasama rin sa aking dasal ang kanyang paglaya para magawa niya ng husto ang katungkulan na binigay sa kanya ng taumbayan bilang senador. Sana rin makalaya ang ibang ring nakakulong katulad nina Brig. Gen. Danny Lim, Col. Ariel Querubin, Capt. Dante Langkit at ibang kasamahan nilang nanindigan rin laban sa paggamit ni Arroyo ng military sa pandaraya noong Pebrero 2006.
Ang mga kasama ni Cash sa paglaya ngayon ay sina dating Marine Captain Gary Alejano, dating Lts. (sg) Eugene Gonzales at Andy Torrato; Capt Dan Orfiano; Lt. (jg) Arturo Pascua; 1Lts. Billy Pascua, Jonnel Sangalang, at Armand Pontejos.

May I comment on the candidacy of money villarovo and toots ople.
1. They both claim championed the cause of our OFWs? my answer to this is no, howmany Filipinos have they sent back home, yes there a few of them, but majority of them are not. Tahe tha case of money villarovo, how many victims were sent home by villarovo thru the courtesy of the DFA. If this victims will not be presented to the media they will not give a single centavos.
Check witht he DFA, most of the victims family who sought villarovo’s assistance were sent home via the DFA, not a single centavos was given by villarovo, but will calim tha he is the one who sent them back to the Philippines.
On toots ople’s case – it’s pure name recognition, nothing more, nothin less. Just like her father, she is a political chameleon, just like loren legarda, who transfers from one political party to another. Ms Ople used to be a key official in Sen Roxas’ office, but what happened is only she can answer that.
I can share a lot of stories of our OFWs victimized by illegal recruiters if given a chance.

Anna, re #6, Elmer was released together with 53 others (including his Pulutan co-author Emerson Rosales) in December 2007. Upon his release he worked with the office of Jesus Estanislao. He is now working for a firm owned by a relative.
Rosales is with PDEA (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency) and is assigned in Davao. He put up a restaurant in Davao called “Level Up.”
What’s also obscene is gary olivar still hanging on to his job. Has he renounced his US citizenship yet?
It is against the law for the citizen of another country to hold an appointive position in the Philippine government. This prohibition is clearly spelled out in the dual citizenship law.
